Nightstalker ~ Gypsy Prisoner ~ DarknessEmbraced666

The hours passed relatively quickly , the first few rays of sunlight shone through the window hitting the floor and bed as he woke up slowly. Eyes blinking a little before turning to lightly reach out towards her body. "Morning Natayla. Hope you got some rest."

Natalya had luckily fallen asleep sometime after she fell asleep and she slept the rest of the night peacefully. When he touched her and spoke, she groaned and buried her face deeper into the pillow, not wanting to wake up yet. After a couple of minutes she opened her eyes and turned her head slightly to peek up at him.

He knew she did not want to wake fully, his own body moving slowly from the bed as he yawned softly and stretched fully. By the time he felt her eyes looking up at him he was semi dressed, smiling and speaking softly. "Stay there for a little longer Natayla. I will organize you some breakfast. Have to leave for a few hours later to attend to some court matters."

Natalya watched him as he dressed and she nodded slowly after being told to stay in bed a little longer. In response to his mention of food, she felt her stomach growl and her cheeks turned a little red before she stretched with a soft yawn. Turning over onto her side, she curled up again and closed her eyes a little as she got comfortable again.

Hearing her stomach grumble and noticing the reddening of her cheeks he smiled and finished doing up the buttons on his white shirt, black trousers and shoes adorned the lower part of his body. Leaving the room quietly he headed downstairs to begin preparing breakfast. Soon the stove was giving off its usual heat as the eggs were scrambled quite well, bacon sizzled in its pan as he made a fresh pot of coffee and tea.

Natalya yawned and closed her eyes, going back to sleep fairly quickly after he left the room. But she didn't sleep long. Soon the scent of cooking eggs and bacon woke her again and she felt her stomach grumble again. Yawning, she slowly pushed the covers away from her before slipping out of the bed. She grabbed her clothing, or at least what was left of them and sighed before leaving his room and heading down to hers where she slipped on a pare of underclothes and a shift as well as a thin robe and heading downstairs.

The judge hummed softly as he took several oranges, giving them a good squeeze draining them of their juices. Best way to have it he mused to himself as he turned off the stove. Serving the eggs and bacon up onto two plates along with some toast he smiled as he heard the stairs creak slightly in that one spot. With her food on the table along with juice and either tea or coffee if she wanted it he sat down and began to sip his juice.

Natalya smiled slightly as she entered the room and watched him set the plates down upon the table. "Smells good." she whispered to him before pouring herself some tea and then sitting down across from him. She brushed her hair from her face and took a sip of tea before beginning to eat slowly.

He heard her whispered words and smiled before watching her sit down to enjoy the juice and food. Cutting off a small piece of the toast and mixing it with the crispy bacon and scrambled eggs he licked his lips a few seconds to take down all the flavor.

She ate slowly, taking her time to enjoy the taste of the food that he had prepared for them. She glanced up at him and couldn't help but smile at the way he ate his breakfast before continuing to eat as well. She enjoyed the the taste of the bacon. It wasn't something that she ate very often because she was always traveling from one place to another with the caravan and bacon didn't hold up well while on the move.

He felt her somewhat still shy gaze interact as he ate breakfast, soon finishing along with his tea he pushed his chair back and stood up slowly. His long legs carried his muscular body across to the small silver sink, rinsing the dishes off and leaving them to dry he turned and casually spoke to her. "You can borrow the same horse as yesterday if you want to go out later. I should be heading to work soon."

She listened to him finish and begin to wash his dishes off while she ate slowly. Hearing him speak, she looked up at him and paused in what she was doing to watch him. "I think I'll stay here." she whispered to him. "I'm still a little tired and I want to get a little more sleep. I might go through my things." She shrugged slightly and began eating again.

He listened intently to her words, part of him not believing that she would stay but he had to put some trust and faith that she would true to her word. With a smile he left the house and was soon at work, entering his office he sighed and glanced at all the paperwork along with court requests.

She watched him leave before finishing her breakfast. She cleaned up her dishes before heading upstairs. Entering her bedroom, she went over to the bag of things she'd brought home with her the other night and she began putting them away. She had brought things like clothing, jewelry, herbs for her teas and a couple of other small things. Once everything was put away, she laid down and fell asleep for a while.

By mid morning the judge glanced at the large clock on his wall, taking note of it and thinking of her as he finally managed to finish signing all the reports. With two more court cases to sit through for the afternoon he grabbed some more coffee before moving his paperwork to the smaller room adjacent to his court room. It would make it far easier he thought to himself, less distance if he did happen to doze off again which was not usual.

Natalya slept pretty late into the afternoon before waking up. Yawning softly, she slid out of the bed and shook her head before changing into a long skirt and a blouse before heading outside. She walked around the house to the stables where she saddled the horse and led it out. However, instead of leaving the grounds, she lead the horse around to the field where she mounted it and began riding, enjoying the freedom and the feeling of the wind in her hair.

The judge was getting annoyed with this case as he glanced at the clock on the wall of the courtroom, he had been sitting in residence over it for at least four hours now. Thoughts turned again to her wondering if she had left him. Sighing audibly he banged the gavel down hard onto the small black pad, words echoing around the courtroom to the effect of lets get this case closed if possible. Several minutes later and the one who stood on trial declared themselves guilty. A big sigh of relief washed over his face as he signed the necessary transfer papers and told the guards to make sure that the prisoner got transferred to a more secure jail in the next county. All he wanted to do was go home right now but as he left his court room then chambers he was told another case had been brought forward to tonight, it was now almost 7pm.

For hours, Natalya was out in the field with the horse. She wasn't always riding it though. Sometimes she was walking the horse around the field as she thought about things, just enjoying the soothing presence of the horse. At one point in time, she felt someone watching her and she looked over to see a couple of the guards that worked around the house watching her from near the fence and she narrowed her eyes at them, remembering what the judge had told her about them and she moved closer to the horse, her hand resting against its strong neck before she turned away and walked to another part of the field. The woman stayed out in the field until late and then she finally returned to the stables and the house, grooming the horse and getting it settled down before heading into the house to make something to eat.

Taking a few moments to summon one of the guards he gave them clear instructions to have the food supplies delivered to his house and also to check on her. He did in fact want to know she was alright, if she had run away it would have been her choice to deal with any consequences from those actions. Entering his courtroom a few minutes his gavel was brought down hard and fast across the small pad on the long wooden bench bring the session to order. His eyes scanned the room before glancing at the clock.

It was almost midnight before the case was finally put to rest, taking another day off and leaving word that if it was important to contact him at home he did not count on the hours catching up to him. Leading the horse away from the courthouse he missed the turn off and ended up going the longest way he should have. Clearly his mind and eyes were playing tricks with him as he misjudged the small turn and ended up falling not only out of the buggy but straight down the ravine. His head narrowly missed the large boulder as he blinked a few times and shakily tried to ascend the small cliff face of sorts.

Natalya was in the kitchen, thinking about what to make when someone arrived with the food supplies. She frowned slightly when she looked at the guard that was there but she reluctantly let him into the house, quietly disappearing into another part of the house until the man left. She returned to the kitchen once the house was silent again and she made herself something to eat before heading to bed.

But that night, no matter what she did, she couldn't sleep and something told her that something was wrong and sure enough, around midnight the riderless buggy came speeding down the road to the house. Standing up, Natalya rushed outside and ran over to the fidgeting horse that was pulling the buggy. She quickly calmed it down before climbing into the buggy, not caring that she was just in her night gown and a simple robe. Snapping the reins, she guided the horse back down the road, letting the horse lead the way. Soon enough, she came to the ravine and the horse stopped. Climbing down, she moved over to the edge to see him trying to climb up the ravine. "Are you okay?" she called down to him.

He blinked and watched the horse take off, cursing and muttering under his breath he took a few seconds to survey his own body. Only part damaged besides his clothes was his pride as he continued to scramble up the ravine's face. About half way up he heard the buggy return, shaking it off that he was hallucinating until he heard her voice. In a little shock he nodded and called out the best he could. "Yes I am fine, will be up shortly."

In no time at all he was back at the top of the ravine, eyes glancing towards the now calm horse before taking in what had caused his fall. A large tree stump, obviously left by someone who wanted some firewood, taking it and throwing it into the back of the buggy his eyes met hers. "Are you okay."

She nodded slightly when he said he was fine before standing up and moving over to the horse, her hand resting on its side as she waited for him. She had some mud on her from kneeling next to the ravine. Once he was up, she glanced at him and nodded again. "Yes, I'm fine." she said softly, turning slightly to pet the horse, smiling slightly. "When the horse came back without a rider, I knew something had happened." She looked at the judge again and shrugged slightly, watching as he picked up a treestump and tossed it into the buggy.

It was not until he moved from his standing position closer towards her and the horse that he felt the pain in his right knee, his eyes moving down towards it cursing loudly at the exposed gash and blood oozing out of it slowly. Smiling a little into her eyes he yawned again and supported himself against one of the wheels before heaving his large muscular body up into the back of the cart at first then slowly into the passenger side part of it. His words softly spoken. "Sorry to have worried you. Can you take us home. Need to sew this up before it gets worse."

Natalya glanced down at his knee and grimaced before arching an eyebrow at him, watching as he climbed up into the buggy. "Yeah, I can." she said softly before climbing up and pulling her robe tighter around her. "I'll take care of that for you as well." she told him before snapping the reins of the horse who took off for the house. It didn't take too long to get to the house and she drove the buggy up to the front.

His eyes closed only slightly on the way home, having heard her words and merely absorbing them for he did not feel she would be able to. Once the horse stopped fully he lightly rested one hand on her shoulder easing his body down from the seat, eyes meeting hers as he spoke before heading slowly for the house. "Thank you for coming out tonight."
