Favoured of the Crowd (Alvis & Last Breath)

Northman was enjoying every moment of this. Still pumping away on her ass, he did feel himself starting to come around to his end. It was still a little ways off, after all, he'd just finished before! On an impulse, he lower his hand from her breasts, and went lower. He kept her off of the bed, and leaned his face over to put it right beside her own. His large fingers found her sex, and while he continued to work at her from one point, he began to rub her clit. After a moment of doing this, he shifted hisangle, and began to plunge a finger inside of her, still rubbing her as he did so, pushing her along.
"Are you enjoying this Empress?" He hissed in her ear. "Answer me truthfully, and I will stop when I am done. Else, I may find other ways to enjoy you." He warned.

The breast not being held in his hand jumped with every thrust. She bit her lip until she tasted blood, to keep herself from crying out again. Her body as before acclimated to the intrusion making this less painful. It still was not enjoyable by any means. She jumped as he he began rubbing her clit. At first she wasn't sure what he was expecting this time around. Then he slipped a finger inside her and her body immediately began to respond. Severina continued to keep herself from making any noise.

She wasn't sure how to answer his question, anything she said would only be half truth. If she said 'no' he would know she wasn't telling the truth by her bodies reaction. Though it was only responding to the touch of his fingers. If she said 'yes', he would assume she enjoyed every bit. She decided to answer the best she could, "not all of it." Opening her mouth allowed for a noise, somewhere between pleasure and pain.

Northman only grinned at her words. She had given him an honest answer. So he'd spare her th fate of having to try and take him down her throat after this action. He grunted a few more times, and slammed his hips into her ass hard enough to leave a faint redness to her skin where he hit, and groaned. He came, deep inside of her, and it felt glorious to him. He shifted his grip from her hair, taking his arm around her neck. He slowed his assault on her ass down, but only intensified his work on her sex, sliding a second finger into her. He grinned, taking the lobe of her ear into his mouth, and chewing on it a moment, before adjusting his arm, adn turning her face toward his. He pressed his lips against her as he worked on her harder, enjoying hte moment, and wanting her to have another climax, to make sure she would always remember this moment.

She felt him pulse within her once again, just before her jammed his hips forward. Even when finished he stayed right where he was though. Sev gasped as he slipped another finger into her. As hard as she tried not to, a soft moan escaped her. Later she wouldn't understand it, but she accepted his lips as eh pressed them to hers. That same heat began to spread from her core to her thighs. She was getting closer, he was pushing her that edge. Her hand reach back digging her fingers into the skin they found. Her breathing quickened for a brief moment, then she cried out as the wave crashed taking her over the edge. The Empress's body shuddered as she climaxed.

Northman leaned into teh kiss that she seemed eager to indulge in, a part of him wondering if she was just caught up in the moment, desperate for attention of the male variety, or some other reason. Regardless, he took his time with it, before breaking off the kiss, and backing up, sliding out of her ass, and his fingers out of her. He let her drop to the bed, while he went to reclaim his kilt. Once his gear ws returned, he'd have proper pants. But until then he made due with what he had. He turned to look at the Empress once more.

"Always remember Empress just how much you enjoyed these moments. And know this. Long as I am alive, should you keep this a secret from the world, I will do the same for you. As long as I am in your employ, I will keep this quiet. But should you attempt to order my arrest, or death, I will no longerhold to such." He informed her, adjusting his kilt. What she planned from here he didn't know. If her own quarters were nearby, then she would have the chance to clean herself up, otherwise, this could become very interesting.

When he dropped her to the bed, she didn't move. Instead she closed her eyes tight, waiting for him to leave. She couldn't stay in this room forever though. Someone would be searching for her soon, there was still a lot of day light left. Taking a deep breath she slid off the bed, finding what was left of her robe. Luckily it was only ripped in half on the front. As long as she was fast getting to her own chambers, holding it closed nobody would notice. Refusing to look at him, she wrapped the torn garment around herself.

Pulling the good up over her head, she pushed pass him. Until she was in the hall, then she used the wall for support. She kept her composer the entire walk to her own chambers that were opposite this hall. She was stopped by a guardsmen, "Empress, the warriors items have arrived, what would you like done with them." Looking back in the direction she came, she turned back. "Burn it, immediately, he gets no special treatment. He can wear the same armor as everyone else or none at all." Turning from the man, she continued her way to her chambers. Slamming the heavy iron door shut, sliding the lock into place. Stuffing the ruined robe into the back of her closet, she pulled out another. As much discomfort as she was in, she had to hurry and get back to the meeting room. Gingerly she cleaned her body, careful of the abused flesh between her thighs.

When she finally emerged she had pulled the rest of the pins from her hair, letting it fall down her back and over her shoulders. Her neck had already started to bruise from where he bit down on her neck, finger prints were also visible. As she passed by one of the windows looking down into the training grounds she smiled. In the center was a roaring fire, the only thing that would be burning was Northman's items. Entering the large room once again, she lowered herself into the massive chair. She had to pretend that all was normal, and she had to start now.

Northman stalked the grounds, familiarizing himself with them in the only way he truly could. It was also a way to test teh guards. They seemed like they'd be rather efficient against most threats of this ROman land, ones that can in ranks and marched in to attempt to kill. But to one like himself, it was not a challenge to avoid them. To be a warrior amongst his people, one first had to be a hunter. To learn patience, stealth, and cunning. Only then would a person be allowed to take up arms, and take the life of men.

He ghosted out to the training yard, seeing that there were a few men doing combat drills, while others...were bruning his possessions. His eyes went wide to see what had gone on hte blaze. The pelt and furs that had come from hi homeland. The armour that had been crafted for his frame. It took two men to toss his shield up onto the pile. They hesitated over the weapons, as any soldiers would. They looked to be aof good make. Would it not be a waste? And that hesitation was what the Northman needed. His hand gripped hte back collar of the armour worn by the man carrying hte bundle, and he wrenched him back. Northman caught the bundle, adn let most of it drop as his hand found the haft of his axe. He swept it around, holding it an inch from the nexk of a guard who had rushed forward.
"Remove the shield from the pile." Northman said coldly.
"The Empress-" The guard started, but was cut off quickly.
"Is not here. I am. Remove the shield, else I remove your head. Choose." The guard blinked, but used a spear to lever the shield out of th flames. Northman ripped the cloak off of the guard, adn wrapped his hand in it. He hefted the shield, feeling the weight of it, and gathered his bundle. He left the guards like that. He had an appointment to keep.

Attired in his weapons, he looked a different, more fearsome man. Knives at his belt, shield on one arm, and an axe that looked heavy enough that it would take most men two hands to lift. He entered into the meeting room where the Empress sat.
"You and I must speak it seems." He said to her flatly, no emotion in his voice.

"Empress the people are asking for a celebration, the crops have done so well this year. They feel they must pay tribute to the gods for their generosity." A plump priest stood before her, in lavender and gold robes. He had a kind face, as most did in his profession. Severina was seeing none of this, she barely heard his words in fact.

Egnatius seeing his ladies distratced nature leaned over to whisper in her ear. "I see now harm in allowing a tribute to the gods, dear lady. The priest awaits your aproval though."

She blinked up at him when he pulled away to stand straight once agian. Turning her attention to the priest, she offered a smile. "Of course, a celebration would be in order wouldn't it. Let me know what is needed, and shall supply it." For the first time since her reighn of this empre she waved someone off. She was exhausted, and her mind was miles away. "I am sorry, I think today the meetings are over Egnatius, I just don't have it in me today. Please let those waiting know my decision." Both the priest and her advisor frowned at their Empress. Not but hours ago she was full of life, now she seemed beaten down. How right their assumtions were.

"Of course, they will understand. I will tell them you are feeling a little under the weather. Will the meetings pick back up tomorrow?" His answer was only a quick nod, then left the room. She had asked for extra guard, knowing Northman would be storming in soon, when he caught wind of his belongings. She was correct when not but five minutes later, he came bursting through the doors. She smiled sweetly at him, some how managing that small gesture. "Why of course, please have a seat. Is there anything wrong?" Her eyes travel to the bowmen in their alcoves.

Northman glowered a moment, noting her clicker of eye, and knowing that he was being covered by archers. He doubted they would be able to bring him down before he killed her, if that was his desire. Especially now that he had his shield back. He'd back it against any archer.
"You ordered my gear destroyed. Pelts and things from my homeland. THings that cannot be replaced." He let the words hang in in the air. He had the thought of fingering a throwing knife as he spoke, but felt it might be too...theatrical. He locked his gaze to hers. And then he smiled. "Well played."

"I did perhaps underestimate you. Just as you did me. What comes in the oncoming months may prove...interesting." He admit, shaking his head. He turned from her, and made to depart. He wanted another look around the palace. "And should you wish to have me guard this place, then have some of your guards meet me in the training ring. I wish to gain their measure."

Sev was more then pleased with herself, when she said she wasn't harsh ruler she was telling the truth. What she didn't add was, she also wasn't afraid to dish out her punishment when it was called for. While she couldn't destroy him the way he did her, she could at least come close. The only way he could get those items back was to travel back to his homeland. The shield he wore would protect a portion of himself from the flying arrows, but not all. She also held her own weapon in the folds of her robe, something that would at least slow him down. "I did have them destroyed. I thought on it and decided that if you would wear the armor of the soldiers, you could just go with out it." Breaking eye contact with him, she began playing with a ribbon on her robe. She put on an air of boredom as he continued. "I do believe you had underestimated me Northman, I'm sure you won't make the same mistake again."

Tilting her head to one side, "keep in mind, that the killing of a fellow guard, means immediate execution. As strong as you are, you are sorely out numbered here. This isn't the most powerful Empire for no reason." She sighed heavily before continuing. "very well though, they will meet you in the ring shortly. You may leave now."

Northman smiled thinly, listening to her words. Killing a guard, eh? Well, he would be able to work around that. The walk to the training yard was a meandering one, or at least the choice of path that he took was. When he entered the yard, he did note that there were several officials scattered around the edges, come to see the notorious Northman there to see how the guards fared. There were a few grizzled men waited for him, all of them showing the scars of comabt on their faces.
"Northman! We've set aside some practice weapons for you. Who will you face first?" One of the men asked, gesturing to the five men spread out. The large axe simply slid from a carry position to a ready one, and he made sure his shield was seated properly.
"All of you. Now. Take up your arms, and come at me. I need to see what you're able to do." The barbarian ordered. The guards exchanged glances, but lifted their weapons, and spread out into a ring. And then they were coming at him.

The axe swept round, crashing into a shield, and breakingthe frame of it, sending the owner to the ground in a rush. As a sword swept in at him, the Northman raised his own shield, and took the blows easily. The sound of metal on stone came, causing a moment of surprise in the attacker, who then got a much closer look at the shield crashed into his face. It seemed it did indeed have a good deal of stone in the construction. No wonder it was so heavy. Northman kicked out, forcing a man back a few paces, while swinging his axe around. The shield was sheared straight through this time, barely missing the man's head. The guard hopped back to get distance, but a thunderous punch snapped his neck back and laid him out. Northman turned to see the last two guards keeping back, hands raised.

"If you goal was to find us wanting in combat against you, then I assure you, task completed. Where by all the Gods nd their mothers did you learn to fight like that Northman?" A guard asked.
"The wilds of the North. And I was not th best my tribe could field." He answered. The snawer paled the faces of the guards. "Inform your guards. Proper training begins in the morning. And inform the others that you will be needing new weapons. Axes large enough to split a man. If you mean to defend this place, you will need to be able to make clean kills in less time." Northman barked as he strode away from the field. It was as he expected. Given time, he'd be able to kill his way through this palace on his own. Maybe. He glanced up to see that there had been a window in wall of the meeting room. He wondered if the Empress had caught the show.

The Empress slumped into her chair as soon as he left the meeting room. It took every ounce of strength to keep both back and expression straight. Her eyes moved to the archers above her, they saw her actions, but they were smart enough to keep their mouths shut. The hand hidden under her robe, came out holding a wicked looking dagger. She would make sure this was with her at all times.

With a slight wince of pain, she pushed herself to her feet. Coming to stand at the window over looking the training grounds. Her eyes narrowed when his hulking form emerged onto the field. She made sure to send in some of her strongest men, she had better of course. Better he not know all the weapons she had at her finger tips though. Just as in the arena Northman dispatched them with ease. She sneered out the window, he was surely going to cost her much coin in the year to come. For some unknown reason he insisted on destroying any armor and shields her men had. Turning she pushed over one of the flaming bowls, the coals scattered on the floor, luckily not with in reach of anything flammable. "Get this cleaned up," she said as she walked towards the door.

The six guards in the room, exchanged wary glances before following her out. What had their sweet tempered Empress in such a fowl mood. With a whisper to a maid, she scurried of for help in cleaning up the coals and ash on the floor. "Dear lady, if I am prermited to speak freely, it would seem something has you in the fowlest of moods." She still used the wall for support, turning she plastered a smile on her face. "I am sorry, I just don't feel well at all today. I will be retiring to my room until the evening meal." Nodding their heads, all six of them them continued to follow her to her chambers. Where she closed the door on them, and made her way to the bed. She sunk into it's softness, she was free for now to react properly to the days events.

With her face buried into a pillow so the guards had no chance of hearing, she cried into it. She knew she would regret her decision to burn his things, but at that moment she was only thinking of revenge.

Northman was carefully honing the edge of his axe while sitting ont he roof of the palace. The climb had done him good. The guards were picking themselves up and clearing the training field. If the Empress had thought that he would be a simply investment, she was being sorele disabused of that notion. He was goign to cost her, more and more, and that was just from his very existence. He'd already cost her somehting that she'd never be able to recover. Not really. And that was just the way it was. But he had also made something of a claim, and he did admit that while he might one day kill her, he would keep her from harm from teh outside world. He would manage that much. He heard a door below his close, or rather felt it through teh roof tiles. He stood, adn stalked to the edge of te roof, adn looked down. There was a balcony below him, and judging from the way it looked, it was most likely belonging to the Empress herself. He was in a good place to look after her safety, such as it was.

From there, if he strained his ears, he could hear talk of preparations for some kind of party. He rolled his eyes. The decadent southerners planned to squander food and time on such frivolities. And what was more, as a recent purchase, he was no doubt expected to be present. Wanting to gain a bit mroe access tot eh palace, he swung himself over the ledge of the roof, adn let himself drop down to the balcony. It was a long fall, and he had to crouch and roll to properly absorb the impact, which made his shield touch teh groound, providing the sound of stone against stone. He simply sank into a chair, adn looked out at the palace grounds. If the Empress had heard, she'd no doubt either investigate, or send her guards out.

As thr guards stood outside the door, they would whisper about Sev's strange behavior. None putting two and two together that it might have something to do with the warrior. She would have to make sure tomorrow to try harder at hiding this, otherwise rumors of an illness might start to spread. The crying had stopped almost as quick as it started, now she lay in the comfort of her own bed. Noise from outside traveled into the open doors of her balcony. Doing her best to block them out, she was failing. It was her job to listen to these noises, they spoke volumes at her cities well being. No doubt they were all excited about the now up coming celebration.

Her eyes were closed, and she was just about to drift to sleep. Hearing the sound of something landing on her balcony as well as the scrape of stone against stone, her head shot up. She saw the movement just as he sat himself in the chair. She knew who it was immediately, backing silently off the bed. Finding her dagger that had been laying next to her, she backed towards the wall behind her. Slipping the long blade into the folds of the robe again, she approached the balcony doors slowly. "Why are you here, shouldn't you be terrorizing my soldiers or something.?"

Northman snorted.
"Nay. They will be healing, adn their training in more...aggressive combat will begin on the morrow. If you expect to stay safe from more than normal threats, they will need that. And I do hear that you plan some gathering of others. I assume my presence will be required at some period through the night then?" He made his voice seem languid, and not actually injecting anything in the way of overt threat to her. After all he'd already done nearly the worst he could to her. She was carrying herself differently, a little mroe hesitant, but he had little doubt that she'd found some way to arm herself quietly. If he made another attempt like he had, then there would be no doubt she'd make it harder on him. He stayed in the chair, and even leaned back in it slightly. he felt het chair groan faintly under his weight. He rolled his eyes. Stupid thing.

The man was completely confusing, one minute he was growling at her the next he was talking to her as if conversation should be normal. She wasn't fooled by this at all, she crept out onto the balcony looking out into the busy courtyard. The celebration wouldn't be for a few days, but things were already underway to get the empire in shape. "I was actually thinking of leaving you here at the palace. My other soldiers are well capable of taking care of matters. There hasn't been an incident yet." She laughed a little at the sight of the large male sitting in a chair meant for a lady. Turning she walked back into her room, stopping long enough to make a comment. "I really don't like you out here, I would much prefer you somewhere else." She softly closed the glass doors, they wouldn't stop him from coming in of course. She just didn't want to hear any of his movements.

She made her way towards the wash table again, splashing a little of the water on her face. If he was going to be out there fine. Drying her face with a small towel she crawled back into her bed. Letting it's softness envelope her once again. This time her hand stayed wrapped around the daggers hilt.

Not comfortable with him out there. Well, that could be read in a number of different ways really. He paused a moment, contemplating his next move. The glass doors didn't lock well enough that he couldn't pop them. Inside with her wasn't out here. How would that go? Not likely well. And he had already sorely used her this day. But maybe...a simple moment? SOmething small to let her know that he was not about to forget? Before he thought better of it, he drew out a very thin knife, adn slid it between the door. He popped the locking bar open, adn pulled the doors open quietly. He stepped into the room, looking over at her.

He advanced on her calmly, letting his shield rest on the wall, and setting the axe beside it. He ast on the bed, not immediately beside her, but close to her. He leaned a little closer.

He wasn't as quiet as eh thought her was, she heard the sound of the lock being slid back. She sighed heavily rolling her eyes. 'What in Hades does he have planned now?' Her fingers flexed around the dagger. She heard the shield being set against the wall, then felt him sit on the bed. Her body tensed as he leaned in closer. "What do you want Northman," her tone was laced with annoyance. She didn't bother to roll and look at him. He would more then likely do that himself.

She was worried slightly that he would force himself on her again. Her guards this time were outside the door. The walls may be thick, but they would hear if she called for help. She wasn't alone this time, and didn't plan to be alone ever again.

Northman chuckled at her words. Still such fire in her, or enough for him to appreciate anyways. What did he want. Well, it was a fair question. He hadn't actually really decided. But now that he was here, adn that she was speaking to him like this, he decided that he did want something. Minor as it was right now, he was going to get it. His hand landed on her shoulder, but lightly, not harsh this time. His movement to roll her over was not harsh, but as irresistable as the tide. He put her on her back, and leaned over her. He smiled down at her, a smile that showed he might be remembering something fondly. He leaned over her, moving his face closer to hers.

Sev closed her eyes when she felt his hand on her shoulder. She was right, he would roll her to face him. Keeping her breathing as even as possible she opened her eyes to look at him. She kept her fingers around the dagger still hidden in the folds of the robe. Pulling back slightly as he moved his face closer to hers. "What.. are you doing," she asked her eyes searching his face. She felt a slight panic pulse through her. Her breathing was no longer even, but heavier. Her breasts rose and fell softly each one.

"Remembering." He said quietly. He lunged forward quickly, leaning his weight onto her body, pinning her arms to herself. He kissed her, one hand moving to her face to make sure it stayed in place. He held her like that for a moment, before breaking away, and sitting back. Depending on how she reacted would determine what he did/ There were still a number of things that he could do, either to hurt her or to please her, or he could just walk away. THough if he started in on her, and she summoned the guards...who knew what might come to pass? Especially since if they caught him mid thust with her, the loss of reputation and face would be incredible for her.

Narrowing her eyes at that one word, she was taken by surprise as he lunged forward. Pinning her arms at her sides, then putting his lips to hers. She resisted for a moment, with a grunt. His hand moved to her face, and that one word remembering sunk in. Her body squirmed a little beneath him, as she softened into the kiss. Then it was over just as quickly as it started. At some point her eyes had closed, they fluttered open. The Empress was breathing a little heavier now, "w.. why would you kiss me?" She pulled herself up to a sitting position, her back against the heavy wooden head board. She was wary now, more then before. She wouldn't admit out loud she enjoyed the kiss.

Northman grinned, adn leaned forward a little.
"Why should I not? You certainly seemed to enjoy it earlier today. Maybe I wanted to remind you of that." He suggested with a smirk. It was no less than the truth. He knew that she had to still ache from what she'd sustained earlier in the day. No one from Rome adjusted well to being with a barbarian, especially not in a single day. So he wasn't really planning on doing more than just teasing her along. But he was only human. Depending on what she did, that could determine that he might do far more.

She flinched when he moved in close again. The hand with the dagger was once again free, she could easily slit is throat for what he did. Then why wasn't she, instead she let him continue. "As I said I didn't enjoy everything. I would be a liar if I told you I didn't enjoy any of it." Her eyes travel from his face to his hands, then back. She was weighing her options of escaping to the door. "If you are trying to prove you point that you belong in that arena you have done so. I can send you back if the mindless killing is what you want." She inched to one side, waiting for him to grab her the entire time.

Northman smiled, made a move as though to grab for her, and then slid back, off of the bed, and stepped to his shield and axe. He hefted them both back up, and gave her a smile.
"Until later. Empress." He drew out the word a little, as though it was still unfamiliar on his tongue. He went to the main doors, and paused at them, turning to face her. "And remember. You signed a contract with me as your guard. Not as your pit fighter. You would breach your own contract. Unless you've anything further for me tonight, I'll take my leave." He said to her, that smile never faltering from his face. He seemed to be content with just stealing a kiss, and maybe tormenting her just a little bit.
