The Answer Is Right Beside You (CLOSED)

RE: The Answer Is Right Beside You (Yuna & Raitachi's 1x1)

Sefu

Naeem looked down wearily at the pair that entered his chambers, he'd heard his son from outside, if he hadn't recognised his voice then he would not have guessed it was him. Prince Sefu had always been kind of reserved and unwilling to identify himself in as the heir to the throne, even as a child he never saw himself as a prince, so to hear him take charge like he did, filled the dying Pharaoh with some hope for the future of Egypt. "So it would appear as though my 'paranoia', as you put it Sefu, was well founded wouldn't you agree?" he asked rhetorically, shifting his body slightly so he was sitting more comfortably. He bowed his head as he thought about what this all meant, it was clear that an outsider wanted to take the throne for themselves by doing away with it's only heir, with the current ruler on his death bed it was only a matter of time before they moved up, if their plan succeeded.

"I see, then the situation is far more dire then I originally thought possible" he thought out loud, as though speaking to himself, "I thank you Akil, you have performed your duty well, not only have you saved my son's life but you have also preserved the future of Egypt for all of us" he stated bowing his head to the body guard. He thought for a long moment before finally voicing what he had been pondering on, "if what you say is true then we cannot afford to not be too careful, which is why I will be assigning you some extra protection Sefu, you will be guarded at all hours of the day" he declared, seemingly as though it were an official decree "and I don't want to hear any protesting, no ifs no buts, nothing am I understood?" he stated, seeing that Sefu was about to speak, silencing him immediately.

"I-I understand father" Sefu replied bowing his head, the truth was that he actually did understand, after everything he'd been through today he was not about to resent his father for trying to keep him alive. He understood that one man was not enough to take protect him at all hours of the day, Akil may have been good, but he was not that good, and it was for this reason he kept his mouth shut. Things were different now, the idea that he would one day the Pharaoh was no longer just an idea, it was becoming a reality, and the fact scared him much more then he would ever let on. "Will that be all father?" he asked after a slight pause, eager to leave, he had no idea why but he didn't enjoy being around the Pharaoh for too long much these days, it may have had something to do with seeing him unwell upsetting him or if they had just grown distant, but he couldn't be too sure. He got to his feet and bowed as Naeem nodded, granting them permission to leave, before exiting the room, ignoring the stares he received from the guards as he moved past them, waiting for Akil by a window further down the hall.
