Many had stories to tell which sounded a lot like the one Carla told. Cherry told Carla that many girls in this group suffered from a smart mouth. Having a smart mouth could be dealt with as long as you didn't over step the bounds of respect. Cherry told Carla that she once felt that she couldn't reply on people. She told Carla the story of how she ended up on the streets. It was at a young age and Cherry had to live by her wits. She lived for years on streets for years. Stealing what she needed, living life one day at a time. Cherry said that all changed when she met Turk. The two met when the sinners first came to Dallas. Turk, Pops, Tank and others were the ones who started the sinners. Moving into Dallas started a gang war between the newly formed sinners and two other biker gangs called the disciples & the warlords. This war was brutal and lasted for many years. Cherry was even targeted by the rival gangs for death. The warlords were pushed out of Dallas and end up in Waco, Texas licking their wounds. The disciples left Dallas ending up in nearby Fort Worth. The sinners & disciples to this day still feud over Dallas. Both gangs claim the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Cherry kicked back a few more shots while telling her story and the story of the sinners. She wanted Carla to see that they were more alike then she may have thought before. Cherry said joining the sinners was the best thing she had done and it saved her life. " I now have the greatest family in the world.......These people who do anything for me..... And I would do anything for them......That's what a real family should do. " Cherry added while catching Tank watching Carla. She leaned forward while telling Carla that Tank had eyes for her.
 
Carla smiled and then looked around. It felt good that no one patronized her, they simply told her one thing that deep down she always wanted to hear. That she wasn't alone. She was amongst many people like her. She smiled and then nodded listening to Cherry. She liked the girl. She listened and drank another shot as she finished her steak and fries and leaned back and felt satiated and happy. She licked her lips. She nodded. "Well, I am happy that Turk is considering having me join, but I am a bit apprehensive, because my life has taught me that others will let me down and disappoint and no matter how much I want to belong, everyone is out for themselves." She said softly and then looked at Cherry and blushed.

"Apparently so do a lot of other people. But they will get bored with me eventually, I am sure of it." She looked down and then picked up her plate and silverware. "Is there anywhere I can put this?" She smiled gently and looked at them. She didn't want to give Pops another job to do, she could clean up after herself.
 
Cherry pointed towards the kitchen and told Carla that Pops was most likely still in there waiting for her to finish. She said that Pops like taking care of the girls. Cherry warned that Carla would have a fight on her hands by asking Pops to let her do her own dishes. This Cherry said with a smile on her face. " Oh and.......If any of these people had ever let me down......They wouldn't be here now........I know they won't let you down......You just have to trust a little more.......No one here is looking out for themselves......These people are the type who would die protecting you.......A few did that for me. " Cherry added before Carla left. She hoped her words would ease Carla's troubled heart. It would be best if Carla came into the group seeing it as the family it was. No one in this gang would win any prizes for following the law. They made & sold drugs. They stole from other people. Most of the girls worked as strippers & prostitutes. They often fought with outsiders and other gangs. Some of them even killed for the group. But they did these things for everyone in the group. They did these things for the people who were their family. " She could be a great ol' lady.......She just needs to learn to trust the right people. " Cherry said to Sable while kicking back another shot.

Pops was sitting in the kitchen with the radio on. He was reading Easy Rider which was a biker magazine which featured hot women along with motorcycles. It was kinda like playboy for bikers, but the girls were wearing bikinis. Many of the girls featured in this magazine were real ol' ladies and not professional models. Some were strippers who had links to the biker world. Pops like many of the guys had tattoos on his arms & chest. He was a big burly man, like a huge teddy bear which looked like Santa.
 
Carla looked at Cherry as she said the final words. She walked to the kitchen and saw Pops sitting there and smiled a bit. "That was an excellent meal, that you very much." She smiled and walked over to the sink and began to clean after herself thinking of what Cherry said. She looked down as she used a soapy sponge to clean her plate. She also thought of the man that sat on the couch. His look was different than how the others looked at her. It was strange.

Sable nodded done with counting out the money and leaned back crossing her legs. "There is a lot of fight in her. She could be one tough bitch if crossed." She pulled her black hair back and smiled looking at tank and winked. "So I would be careful if I were you." She teased and then stretched and got up to go greet Meat and welcome him home properly.
 
Cherry wasn't worried. She had no need to be. Cherry smiled as Sable was leaving the table shaking her head. It was clear that Carla was no push over. She knew how to handle herself because life forced her to learn. Cherry also knew how to handle herself for the same reason. Life had made many of the women in this group hard. The few who were a bit softer found out that life can eat you up and spit you out. So even they had to get harder. Cherry took all the stacks of cash and placed them into a black leather bag. She placed it on the floor just between her legs. This bag contained over $75,000 dollars in cash from drug sales. Tank & Keys had returned from a trip to Reno, Nevada where they sold a shipment of meth. Cherry always kept track of the money coming in. She was also the one who paid each gang member every week. Turk came back over to the table and sat down. He asked what Cherry thought of Carla? Cherry said she thought Carla would be great. The only trouble was that Carla didn't trust in others. This would be a hangup in her joining the group. Turk & Cherry started to talk about what kinds of tests they should give Carla. Both agreed that a test of trust would have to be added. The final test for each girl was having sex with Lester in front of the gang. A few more tests were also agreed upon. Carla's tests would start the following day.

Pops looked up from his magazine after seeing Carla pass by him. He laid the magazine down and walked in behind her. Pops wrapped his arms around Carla's body placing his hands on the plate she used. " I take care of all the girls here sweetness......You pretty young things have enough to worry about. " Pops said as his hands touched Carla's. His body pressed against hers while his head looked over her left shoulder. The new girls always tried to do things for themselves. Pops was the one who'd rather let them take it easy. The girls worked hard for the gang and Pop knew how hard they worked. Much of the gang's income was based on the work the girls did. " You should be relaxing after a long trip........Go get a beer and kick back........Watch some tv.......Or join in with the poker game......You could always go have fun with the guys, or the girls. " Pops added while still trying to get the plate from Carla. It wasn't uncommon to see people having sex in the club house. It was more uncommon not to see someone having sex in some form, or another. Sex wasn't hidden here. Sex was a part of this gang and it was shared openly.
 
Carla felt Pops walk up behind her and continued to wash her plates. She looked at him and smiled a bit. Feeling his hand against hers, she understood now why the girls called him "Uncle Pops". She then looked back at her plate that she had gotten fairly clean. She wanted to take a bath. She knew she would probably be pulled into some weird orgy again and looked back at her plate. "Fine fine, since you insist." She allowed herself to smile. She turned and then walked and then looked at him. "Where is the bathroom? And if it wouldn't be too much to ask for, do you have a spare change of clothes? I feel," She stopped and thought of the word. "Road weary." She sighed and then looked out at Tank who somehow found a way to watch her as she was standing in teh doorway of the kitchen and shifted a bit.

Carla saw Cherry and Turk talking at a table. She knew it was about her. Everything that went on in this club house at this moment seemed to be about her. It was fine, Carla was not unused to people talking about her, but this was strange as it was in a positive light. Carla remembered as a baby sitting outside of offices listening to people talk about her, why they couldn't take her, why they didn't love her. She had heard it all before, but here it was why they wanted her a part of the group.
 
Carla had most of the washing already done, but Pops knew that she should be resting. He told her there was a full bathroom on the second floor. Second door on the right. This bathroom was large having six toilets and a huge bathtub with water jets much like a hot tub. The bathroom also had a separate shower from the bathtub. It was a normal sized shower with room enough for two people. Like the downstairs, one could have a beer, or something harder while they enjoyed their bath. A full stocked refrigerator stood against the wall. Cherry had candles around the large tub so the girls could enjoy them during a bath. There was also a small table with a bag of weed and some papers for rolling. The members could also enjoy a smoke while soaking. Pops told Carla that she should talk with Cherry about a change of clothes. Both Carla & Cherry were about the same size. He knew Cherry wouldn't mind giving Carla something else to wear. Pops finished up what Carla had left undone. He cleaned out the sink quickly, grabbed his magazine and walked out into the main room. Pops sat down on the couch joining Tank & Keys.

Turk & Cherry had already talked over the tests Carla would take. They wanted her in the group. They both believed Carla had a lot to offer the gang. Carla had to over come her lack of trust first. They hoped she would see how close this group was and how much they would care for Carla.
 
Carla smiled adn then nodded. "Thank you very much." She nodded adn smiled. Walking into the main room, she looked at Cherry and bit her lip. This was hell on her pride. She sat down where Sable had been sitting and then looked at Cherry and then looked up at her wincing a bit. "Um, Cherry, could I by any chance get a change of clothes, I seem to have left mine back in my car." She said trying to joke it off. She just didn't want to wash again and put back on these clothes that smelt like leather and gasoline. She was talking in muted tones, but she figured people would see her walking around in Cherry's clothes anyway.

She looked at her hands. She hated asking people for things. It was just not how her upbringing taught her. She wished she had her clothes that were in the back of her car. But that car was probably long since towed. Good riddence.
