You Shouldn't Make me do that... (Alvis & Sweetnothings)

Madeline had to admit she did it on purpose. She figured he would at least get a peek of what he was to be expecting tonight. It only seemed reasonable. She started to wonder if he would follow her into the bathroom, but she doubted he would since he wanted to make tonight special. She ran through the checklist in her head again. "Unpack and pick out nice outfit." She muttered to herself as she turned on the shower. She studied the toothpaste Darien had boredly before the water was warm enough. She opened the door and got inside, sighing as the water hit her body.

She started to wonder if she had any nice clothes. I have that dress. Isn't that too revealing? No. I think it's nice enough to wear for him. Modest in some way and still suggestive. She grinned to herself. It was the perfect dress for tonight's occasion. Madeline wanted him to know she had nice things to wear just for him. She took a fairly quick shower. She was never one to take a fifteen minute shower. She always thought that was pretty annoying. She got out and dried off. She brushed her teeth before walking into the room. She rummaged through some boxes before finding sweat pants and a tank top. Something to wear around the house while she was getting ready.

The smell of fresh eggs and toast filled her nostrils. She put her hair to the side before practically running out the room. She managed to not sprint to the kitchen. She smiled as she saw what Darien made. She came up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist from the back. "Thank you for the eggs, baby." She whispered. She grabbed a paper plate and put her sandwich on the plate. She turned and walked to the kitchen table. Egg sandwiches were always a nice breakfast.

Darien did have to smile. It seemed she was enjoying breakfast, and that was good. He had some pride in his skills at making breakfast.
"Most welcome hun." He murmurer back. He sat with his own sandwhich. "Paul will be swinging by to look at the wall for the bookshelf. He's apparently free right now, so we might have it in sooner than we thought." He explained. He had to admit, it was a nice turn of events. The sooner that teh shelf was up, the sooner she could get her boxes unloaded, adn the sooner the boxes would be gone.

Darien was not a fan of living out of boxes, or having someone else doing it around him. But practicality was an important thing, and he wasn't going to cause a stink about something that niether of them could control. Which also meant she'd need somewhere to store her clothes soon. And that meant a trip to find somehting. He could usually find a decent dresser or the like here and there. He had the thought of a temporary system until he could get Paul to build something suitable. Maybe save that as a surprise.

Madeline quickly figured out a new plus to living with him. Breakfast. She probably won't have to live off cereal anymore. She had always been a terrible cook. She smiled at him and took a bite from her sandwich. Her mouth was instantly filled with a number of delicious flavors. She managed not to groan from the taste. It definitely was delightful. She listened to Darien as he talked to her about Paul. "Oh, okay. That's fine. I think it'll be nice to meet someone who's putting up a much needed bookshelf." She joked. She brushed her hair out of her eyes.

She was quite happy she would be able to take her books out of the boxes. She started to wonder about the other ones. She scolded herself for not buying a dresser. That would've been perfect. She couldn't put her clothes with his. That would be disrespectful. Madeline was just not that way. She continued eating her sandwich. It didn't take her long to finish it. She stood up and set the plate in the sink. She opened the fridge and pulled out the jug of orange juice. She found two cups in one of the cupboards and poured two glasses of the drink. She put the jug back in and walked back to the table. "Your orange juice, sir." She kissed his cheek and took a sip from her glass.

"Why thank you milady." Darien replied with a smile. It wasn't long after he'd been given his juice that a knock on the door came. Darien drank a good slug out of his glass, and answered. Paul was there, complete with a tool belt. Paul was not a tall man, barely over five feet, but seemed to be easy to smile, and somewhat chipper.
"Hey Darien." Paul said frankly.
"Paul. Right in here." He led the smaller man in, and Paul took a few quick measurements. His gaze travelled over to see Madeline.
"Shit Darien. The hell your manners at boy?" Paul asked with a smirk.

Darien rolled his eyes, but he followed what was expected.
"Paul, this is my girlfriend Madeline. Maddie, this is Paul, construction man, cabinet maker, and all around jackass." Darien said with a sigh, waving a hand at Paul as he spoke.

The joys of living with him. Madeline would definitely enjoy those moments when they gave each other names like that. She tapped on the glass as she drank her orange juice steadily. She looked at the door when there was a knock, but didn't bother getting up. Paul was Darien's friend, after all. She figured she would say hi later and try to be quiet. She didn't want to say something out of line.

Madeline was silent as she watched Paul take the measurements of the wall. She wasn't expecting Paul to look over at her. She blushed softly and glanced down at the table. Now she regretted not saying hi. "Hi, Paul. Thank you for coming over to do this." She told him with a genuine smile.

Paul waved a hand casually.
"Not a problem. Let's get a good look at this wall here." He turned around, stretching his arms out. A reasonably sharp eye would notice that something was...off about Paul's hands. He was missing the pinky and ring fingers off of his left hand. The right seemed to match, though the thumb also seemed to end just around the knuckle. It didn;t seem to hinder him, he took quick measurements, knocked on the wall, and nodded. "Okay, this should be no problem. Studs are set well enough apart, I can mount it. Go twenty inches deep, give you some room for some bigger books. Shouldn't take long. You want this in ash or walnut?" Paul was putting his tape measure away.
"Still got that black ash?"
"Yeah, you want it?"
"Love it. Nice and dark, and hard enough to take a hit. How soon you think?"
"Got time today? I can get it cut and fiished, just fit it together here. Have it done before the afternoon lets out."
"That'd be great. Thanks again Paul."
"Hey, no worries. And Miss Madeline? Pleasure to meet you." He nodded to her with a smiled, and Darien let him out.

"Looks like you'll have the shelf sooner than we thought. Good start to the day I'd say." Darien said to her with a smile.

Madeline smiled at Paul. He seemed like a nice guy. She was glad Darien had him as a friend. It would be easier. There would be no paying anybody. She was so happy. She was going to get her bookshelf. She quickly was finding out better reasons to be living with him. Now, it almost seemed like fate had gotten her evicted from her house. She immediately noticed something different about his hands. Some fingers were missing. It made her curious why he would be missing the fingers. She instantly knew how rude it would be to straight out ask him. She decided she could ask Darien some other time.

Meanwhile, she was walking around the kitchen, cleaning things up for tonight. She washed each of the dishes by hand and dried them off. She put them in their respective cupboards and hummed softly, listening to their conversation. By the sound of it, she actually could have her shelf before next week. She dried her hands on a towel and smiled at Paul. "Nice to meet you, too." She responded. She looked at Darien after he had led Paul out of the apartment. "I know. It's perfect." She kissed his cheek. "So, what shall we do in the many hours before our big night?" Madeline asked softly.

Darien smiled, his arms circling around her waist. He kissed her forehead, adn then her cheek, gently nuzzling her neck.
"I'm sure...we'll think of...something." He murmured. He pulled her close, adn leaned down to kiss her. there was more than a little anticipation in him right now. Oh Madeline was certainly a looker, and he had to freely admit, he had a certain fondness for a lady in a tank top. And Madeline carried one very well by his standards as it turned out. As he broke the kiss to plant on on her neck, then softly bite her, he had the image of pressing her back tot eh wall, tearing the clothes from-

He was going to have to find something to keep himself occupied, or they might not make it to tonight. He pulled his face back, cupping his hand on her cheek, and running his thumb along her skin, loving the smooth feel of it.
"You...are a tempting problem." He teased.

Madeline wrapped her arms around his neck, her fingers teasing the ends of his hair. She often enjoyed doing that. It was fun feeling the tips of his hair on her fingers. She briefly raised an eyebrow at him before returning the kiss. She was certainly enjoying this moment with him. It seemed like these types of kisses were getting more frequent. She definitely didn't mind that. She actually was quite fond of these recurring moments between them. She let out a low groan as he kissed her neck and bit her softly. That definitely excited her for what to happen later.

She noticed the change in his poster. Maybe it something else. It probably just her "girlfriend senses tingling." She looked up at him softly as he held her cheek with one hand. She smiled softly and giggled. "I think I'm starting to notice, Darien. You keep doing this quite often now." She replied, kissing the top of his nose.

Darien smiled, and let out something of an affirmative growl.
"Entirely your fault you know." He murmured to her. He needed something to do. And soon. Or he was not going to last until tonight. Not by a long shot. Still, he had to admit, he wanted to keep her close, wanted the contact. It was...fun. He bent a little lower, wrapping his arms around her waist, and lifting her up, smiling as he did so. He carried her like that, his smile never wavering. He sank onto the couch, and pulled her onto his lap.

One hand turned the TV on, but it was more just for background noise. He was quite content to sit with her here, waiting for the coming of the bookshelf. He winked at her, adn kissed her neck, then the base of her neck, then her shoulder, seeming to just enjoy himself.

Madeline ran the tips of her fingers over the back of his neck. It was a tickle spot for her, and she wondered if it was for him. "I know. My fault you can't stop kissing me." She whispered softly. She figured out they wouldn't be doing anything more than just this until tonight. She wanted it to be a surprise. She laughed softly as he lifted her up from the waist to carry her to the couch. Honestly, having Darien able to carry her like that was definitely a plus for her.

Her eyes were on him while he turned the TV on. She stroked his cheek with one hand, listening to the sound of the TV. This was better than sitting around doing nothing for a couple of hours until it was time. She moaned softly and moved her hands down his chest. She leaned down and press her lips to his neck, running her tongue of his skin before kissing softly.

Darien felt a shiver go down his spine as Madeline touched a spot on the back of his neck. Not exactly a tickle spot, but it certainly did do something to him, and he had to admit, it felt nice. Spending time like this with, whiling away the day with his girlfriend...yeah, he could think of a lot worse ways to spend his time. her tongue along his neck gave him another shiver, her lips another. Madeline was good at what she did, he'd give her that freely and gladly. One of his hands traced along the bare patch of skin at the top of her back, the other running under the bottom of her top, before sliding up under the material, enjoying the smooth skin he found there.

He had the momentary image of tearing teh top from her, and really starting in on her, but he managed to keep that urge down for the moment. He neeeded to keep calm. Not jump the gun. The hand under her top lightly dragged the nails on his hand along her, before sliding up her side. He was just enjoying the moment, not paying attention to the fact that his hand was causing her top to ride up her body.

Madeline could feel Darien's body lightly shudder from the stimulation on the back of his neck. At least now she knew that was a good spot for him. A smile pulled on her lips at the revelation. She reminded herself to get that spot again some other time. She ran hand down his chest to the top of his pants, but stopped there. She really wished they could go further. He promised her a special night where they would finally have sex. She didn't want to ruin it by just doing it now. Her breathing hitched slightly as his hand went up the front under her shirt. She groaned softly while her soft lips continued to kiss his neck.

The young woman started to get images of him throwing her back on the bed with both of them nude and just going at it. How she wished that could happen. She decided she would make it happen tonight. Get him so in the mood that it would truly happen. A grin pulled on her lips slightly. She rocked her hips slightly, enough to tease his lower regions. She felt the cool air hitting her skin. She looked down briefly and saw her top had ridden up. She smirked before capturing Darien's lips in a deep kiss.

Darien admitted that his control was fraying around the edges as the two of them made out. If thigns went well tonight, maybe they could just spend all of tomorrow in bed. Enjoy each other for the entire day, order in pizza when they got hungry, but otherwise just have all of the fun they could. It didn't sound like a bad idea.

Her current closeness, and the way she kissed him had both of his hands on her body, sldiing up her skin, stopping when he reached just beneath her breasts, her top ridden up with his hands. Despite knowing that in sound ways it would make things worse, but might make things easier for him to not push things along, he turned and leaned back, mostly laying on the couch, and carrying her with him. The way she had pressed her hips to him for a moment had certainly encouraged him along. She was overtop of him, and he ran a hand down the middle of her back, running fingers along the top of her jeans, teasing them. Oh, he wanted her. SO much. He was starting to think that waiting until tonight was going to be impossible. He might have to flee the apartment, go find something to do for a few hours. Then bring back the wine and the dinner, make the evening what he promised it would be. But in the meantime, he was kissing her back with an almost tangible sense of need.

Madeline felt her body slipping. This wasn't like her. She usually had better self control than this. She was expecting a nice dinner tonight that will lead to sex. Now that she thought about it, they would probably spend the whole night awake then tomorrow in bed. That didn't seem like a terrible idea. It sound appealing. The only way that was going to happen was if she stopped before something happened.

This was so unlike her. She had purposely teased him, rocking her hips against his. The action had sparked something in her. A need unlike any other. She needed him more than anything. A soft moan came from her lips when she felt his hands right beneath where her breasts began. Now she definitely wanted him. There was no doubt about it. Her nails moved across his skin slowly, teasing him slightly. She was starting to wonder if they were even going to last to the night. She seriously doubted it at the moment. It would be better for the both of them to just go along with it. Then came the question. Were they really going to go ahead and do this? She was teasing him, and he was teasing her in return. She moved her hips once more before pulling her lips away slightly so she could talk. "D-do you really want to go ahead?" Her words were soft. Personally, she wanted to wait. Waiting always brought out the best sex, but if he wanted to go ahead, she would go ahead too.

Darien was getting ready to move forward again, when she broke away and spoke. Her question was a good one. A part of him wanted to just pull the top off of her, and answer like that, ravage her right here and now. But he leaned his head forward, resting his forehead on hers. He sighed before he spoke.
"I certainly want to go ahead. But I also know we shouldn't. After all, I'd hate to be in the middle of things with you when Paul gets back with the bookshelf." He admitted, moving his head to plant a kiss on her lips, before letting himself relax. Even with that declaration, he put his arms around her, and kept her vclose. He seemed in no hurry to let her up.

It was very odd for him to be this heavily affected by a woman. Madeline was an exceptional one to say the least. At the same time, he knew that the way this was going, he was likely going to be nearly champing at the bit by the time they got through dinner. And that might lead to some particularly passionate moments, it was still going to be an effort to say the least. But it would be worth it in the end. That much he knew.

Madeline was hoping they were going to move forward. It didn't seem like a bad idea. Paul wasn't supposed to come for a while. That's what she thought. Who knew how quick he would get the materials needed for the bookshelf? Her soft green eyes peered into Darien's as he rested his forehead against hers. She kept her hands on his chest, however. "I know. That's what sucks. I really want to go ahead, but there's tonight, and I want to wait until then. I've realized that's going to be hard." She responded. At least they both wanted to go ahead. She didn't want to stop in the middle when Paul came knocking on his door. There would be plenty of time for things like this. They were living together now. She doubted she would be moving out any time soon. She wondered if he liked having her in his apartment.

He was different from her past boyfriends. There was something about Darien that Madeline was attracted to. She couldn't put her finger on it, but she always saw them possibly taking their relationship a next step further. Now she couldn't wait until dinner. The events that would happen after. She was particularly looking forward to that. She moved her hands from under his shirt to wrap her arms around his waist. "I love you."

Darien smiled as she spoke, and moved a hand to brush against her cheek.
"And I you Maddie." He gave her an amused smirk. "You awful, awful temptress you." He teased. He made sure he smiled as he spoke, softening the words. Frankly, moments like these were one of the reasons Darien was so attatched to Madeline. Other women he'd been with had been good at the dating scene, or rather good in bed, but when it ultimately came down to it, they had no ability to just...spend time with him. The quiet seemed to get to them. Madeline...she excelled at those moments, even if in the last few days she seemed very good at being able to encourage him to move past the quiet moments.

That also had a certain amount of appeal.

Darien just held her, honestly figuring that if this was all they did while waiting for Paul to return, he'd call it an afternoon well spent.

Madeline practically craved his touch. She loved feeling his hands on her body. It didn't matter where his hands were. The feeling of his calloused hands against her body sent chills through her. What made it even better was that he was strong enough to carry her. "I know. I'm that awful." She whispered in his ear. Teasingly, she ran her tongue up the shell of his ear. He was unlike any of her past boyfriends. All they ever wanted from her was sex. Men and their crazy desires. Darien knew what to do. He would hold her in his arms, just to be held. He was different in a good way. Soon after, she heard the doorbell ring. She smiled and pulled away from his arms. "Looks like Paul's here." She whispered softly. She placed a small kiss on his cheek as she stood up.

Darien sighed in mock irritation as she stood, and rose after her. He paused a moment, andpulled her close to deliver a hard, passionate kiss. One to go out on. As he backed away, he winked at her, and head for the door. He opened it to see Paul there with a roller cart loaded with wrapped wood.
"That was fast." Darien observed.
"Had a lot of it close to size already. Just some trimming and some finish. It's all ready to be put together. You going to help me knock out the wall?" Paul asked, offering him a drywall saw. Darien smiled, and took it.
"Let's do this."

The two men rolled the cart into the apartment, and made a few marks on the wall. And then set upon it with the saws. The sheet of drywall came free, and while Darien cut it into smaller pieces for disposal, Paul cut the studs in the wall out, and used the lumber to frame in the section that was about to be a bookshelf. The two unwrapped the lumber on the cart, and Darien smiled.

Smooth, clean, straight grained wood was there, but rather than the normal blong colour, it was dark and rich. It looked gorgeous. They carefully set it in place, and nailed it in. The shelves were mounted fairly easily, and then teh whole thing was trimmed in slightly lighter dark wood. It looked...amazing to be honest. Paul smiled as he looked at their handiwork.
"Fine work Darien. So we're square for the moment?" Paul asked.
"Yeah, we're good. Anything new on the docket?" Darien answered.
"Buildin' a new deck in a month or so. Could use a pair of hands if you want in. Give ya another favour, or some cash...?"
"Yeah, I'll take it. Favour is good. Thanks again for this Paul."
"No problem at all." He looked over at Madeline, and smiled. "Hope you enjoy this bookcase miss. I'll get out of your hair." Darien helped Paul wheel the roll cart out of the apartment, and bid him goodbye. He sighed, adn looked at teh time. Hm. Maybe an hour or so before he could justify them having dinner.

"Guess you've got a place for your books now then." He observed.

Madeline didn't want to go away now. She liked being entangled in his arms. He was a nice person to cuddle with. Stunned, she almost forgot to kiss him back. She kissed him equally as passionate and hard. She giggled at him and followed him out of the room. She straightened her hair out and took a seat on the couch. She found the remote to the TV and turned it on. She crossed her legs as she surfed the channels, finding anything that appealed her. She turned it up so she could hear the device rather than the man doing their manly things.

Madeline took out her phone and pulled up one of her games. What she usually did when she really wanted to zone out was turn the TV up and play a game. She was pretty gone while they did everything, only looking up and glaring at Darien when a particularly annoying sound was made. She sighed softly, deciding to watch the whole process of putting up her bookshelf. The anticipation was killing her. She couldn't wait to put up her books. She crossed her legs and smiled. Getting up, she sauntered to her box of books. She carried it over and smiled. "Thank you, Paul. I can't thank you enough for doing this." She smiled at him and looked at Darien. "I know! I'm so happy!" She giggled. The young woman began pulling out her books, walking to the shelves and putting them on. "Want to help?" She asked, shaking her hips teasingly.

"I can get them onto teh shelf. You''l have to organize them how you like." Darien pointed out, approaching her. Tease. He fought back the urge to just let fly and swat her ass. The fact that his hand landed on her ass with a faint crack showed that his mind was occasionally a little bit slow to forbid him from doing anything. He hadn't hit all that hard, but enough that she certainly could miss it.

He pulled a handful of books out of the box, and set them on a shelf. He did have to admit that teh shelf did break up the wall, and the dark wood contrasted with the walls nicely. It probably raised the value of his apartment but a fair anout just by doing this. And all for a favour that he'd had no idea what to do with. It seemed like a good play really. He winked at her as he helped unload the box, before realizing that he could likely justify making an escape soon to get the wine and food. And he'd promised good wine. He'd have to pay a visit to Ron.

"Just so you know, I'm only calling you over here so you can put them on the top shelf. Just a manly thing for you to do." Madeline admitted. She wasn't that short, but she liked to have him reach the things on the top shelf for her or put things on the top shelf. What happened next really stunned her. She yelped, jumping up slightly. She looked back at him and blushed deeply. That was fun. Nervously, she inhaled deeply, putting herself back at ease.

She walked to the box and pulled out as many books as she could carry. She put them on the middle shelf. She was absolutely amazed with the bookshelf. The dark wood contrasting against the lighter colors. It balanced things out, so everything wasn't so bright when you walk inside the apartment. She stepped back to admire the handiwork. For some reason, she realized she needed to take a shower. "Ooh. Darien, you don't mind if I go take a quick shower, do you?" She asked, already backing out. She really didn't need an answer. Secretly, she knew he needed to go outside to go buy the things for tonight.

The yelp she gave appealed to Darien quite a bit. He might have to find a reason to do that more often. She certainly didn't seem to mind it in the least. He did start loading a few books on the upper shelf, sliding them into place carefully. Gods, Madeline seemed to have a lot of books! How many did she fit into that box? THen she made the point of a shower. He smiled, his first thought of following her into it and 'helping her', but he knew that wasn't the intent here. He nodded.
"Go right ahead. I've got to get things going to make sure we've got what we need for tonight." He admit.

He brushed his hands off, and took the chance to step in to kiss her goodbye. He brushed his thumb across her cheek, and winked.
"Be back in a bit love." He said softly. He got his shoes on, and head out the door, locking it behind him. SHe was getting into teh shower. He did want to make sure both her and the apartment remained safe. He had places to go. He used his phone to place an order for pickup. Good food took some time, but he had to drive across town to see another friend from work.

Ron met him at the gate to his house with a smile. ROn was a big man, over six feet, and thick in the chest, giving him a barrel chested look. A huge, bushy beard dominated his face, and the bright red colour matched his hair perfectly. It was this feature that had made Darien slap the knickname of Ron the Viking on him, and it had stuck.
"Hey Darien. Got your text. Hear you're looking for some wine." Ron sai calmly.
"That's right. Fancy dinner. What have you got for me?" Darien asked.
"Well, how's about this. I'm pouring a cement pad in the back yard for a new shed. A month from now. You help me out, I'll set you up."
"Done and done! So what have you got for me?" Ron reached into a bag, and withdrew a dark bottle.
"Finest of the strawberry wines! My best batch. Even aged it a year. Also...I've got a nice little number here, black raspberries. Hard to get, but make a damned fine wine."
"Thanks Ron. Give me a shout when you're ready for that pad."
"You got it! Good luck tonight man!" Darien waved, adn got back in the car. He just needed dinner now, and he'd be set. He checked the clock. He'd been gone for better than half an hour, and that meant his food would just be ready when he got tot he place. Perfect.

How embarrassing. It wasn't Madeline's fault she wasn't prepared for that. He practically came out of nowhere to slap her on the ass. Though it startled her, she liked it. The way his hand felt against her rear. She managed to quiet herself before she blurted out something to him. As she helped Darien put up her books, she realized she had a lot. It was obvious she read a lot in her free time. Each book in her box she read at least two times. She almost felt bad that she had so many. "Thank you so much. I promise I won't run up your water bill." It was a cheeky joke. She finished the books in her stack before turning towards him. She was rewarded with a nice kiss to the cheek. She blushed and returned the soft kiss. "All right."

With that, she turned on her heels and walk to the bedroom. She took out her outfit for the nice and placed it on the bed. She stripped out of her house clothes and used a long, vertical box as a makeshift laundry hamper. She padded out the room to the main bathroom. She was the only one in the house. Why not walk around naked? She grabbed a towel and hung it on the door. Turning on the shower, she waited for it to get warm. Once it was warm, she got in. She spent a good twenty five minutes in there, taking care of herself so she looked her best. She dried off and walked back into the room. She carefully put on her outfit. It didn't take long for her to put it on. Then there was the task of doing her hair. She curled it up and did it up in a style that looked nice for the evening. She was ready.
