Kidnapped to Zendac (DareToDream and TheDuchess)

The water poured down over his skin and Alex closed his eyes, soaking up the heat as it curled around him, the simmering waves of water sinking into his body and soothing his wounds. Never had a shower felt so luxurious, so relaxing, but when the water ran out, he turned it off with a sigh and stepped out. His senses automatically checked the home’s defenses, coursing through the magic like he lived in it, checking for any weaknesses. Finding none, he quickly dried off and slipped on a robe hanging on the back of the door then padded into the hallway. A glance into the bedroom told him that Susan was no longer there and for a moment fear spiked in him. It only lasted a second though as a pulse of magic told him where she was and that she was safe. Smiling, he headed down the hallway and paused at the entrance to her room, his eyes taking in the sight before him. She was sitting at her easel, a blank canvas standing before her, with soft music playing in the background. Her back was bare to his gaze, a sheet pooling around her waist, and her radiant hair sparkled in the light. He wanted to go to her, wrap his arms around her waist and kiss the back of her neck but he knew that would disturb her so he didn’t. Instead, he turned and entered the hallway, softly padding away into the kitchen, letting her have this moment of peace, when her world was right and wonderful. He began to gather dishes and pans, setting food on the counter, wanting a hearty breakfast to kick off the day and give him the strength to figure out their next move. It was clear that Draken had to be dealt with if they were to have a happy life outside of the house, something that he considered a necessity.

It was hard to imagin that she had only been here three weeks and already she was comfortable in the house. She looked outside and sighed softly before she started to paint the waterfall they had made love at. She could picture it in her mind the way she saw it and to her it was a special place and she wanted to make that apparent. After a few moments she smelled food and knew that Alex was up and about. Turning her head slightly she smiled and just continued to paint in her own world. Stretching her arms out high above her head she yawned about mid day and got up placing her bruch in some turpentine before walking out and into the bathroom to shower.

The food was filling the kitchen with its delicious aroma and Alex let it cook, turning to lean against the counter so he could stare into space, thoughts flowing through his mind. Susan was still in her room painting and he had no inclination to disturb her; her time with him had been turbulent and he knew she was at peace when creating works of beauty. In truth, it also gave him time to think, to try and figure a way out of this mess, so when his food was done, he served it up and sat at the table, running through different options. He thought over the encounter at the waterfall, running through it repeatedly, and the one thing he kept coming back to was the spell Draken had cast. Instead of killing Alex, something he should have been able to do rather easily, the demon chose to swap places with him instead, even giving Alex his own powers in the process. Leaning back in the chair, he considered that and after quite a bit of thinking, he finally smiled. There was only one explanation he could come up with…..together, he and Susan were stronger.

After a little while she would come out with that sheet wrapped around her and her wild red hair just poking out at different sides of her head while she yawned and moved over to slowly slink into his lap seeing as how he was done eating by the time she came out. She closed her eyes and moved forward to lay her head against his neck and just took in the way he smelled while she kept the blanket wrapped around her body while a smile crept to her face " mmmm your so comfy."

Food finally done, Alex slid onto the couch to relax a little, his mind still running options through his brain, trying to find a solution for the two of them. One that would rid Draken from their life as well as eliminate any other attempts to kidnap Susan. Unfortunately, he didn’t see a way to do that without killing the demon, something he knew she would not like. When she entered the room, a towel wrapped around her body and her hair glisteningly wet, he felt a smile spread across his face, his gaze taking her in and appreciating the sight. As she settled into his lap, he wrapped his arms around her waist and held her. “Mmm and you are very warm my love” he murmured, leaning in to steal a soft kiss from her lips. Feeling her like this made him think about that waterfall again and he felt his hands lightly caress her back through the thin sheet.

She smiled again and wrapped her arm around his neck while she leaned into his hairless head easily." its cause i just took a shower" she said to him and kissed his ear easily while those fingers traced over the back of his head while she breathed deeply and kept those eyes of hers closed before picking her head up again and looking to the kitchen " mmm a little hungry myself" she said to him and moved from his lap easily, she tied the sheet around her body and moved to make herself something , She was so tiny and delicate looking, almost like a rose to be held.

Later that night....

The castle was dark and lit with torches making it look almost medieval. Servants roamed around doing their chores and such but there was one room in particular filled with three women talking on large pillows and dressed rather provocatively. The dark haired woman took a sip of wine and smiled, her had dark tanned skin and abnormal yellow eyes, she was of natural born here in this realm but the other two were human with nothing special about them except their immediate beauty and toned bodies. She didn't care much for them but she had to not kill these ones off for the sake that her master and well would you call him a mate if you never saw him except when he wanted the carnal pleasures? She didn't have very many powers she could just manipulate plant life and that's why she wasn't allowed outside of the room or in the forest. " I miss Draken" the blonde would say while looking up to the ceiling and sighing softly while the brunette would lean against another large cushion " yes well you know how busy he is" she said boredly " oh will you two twits shut up" the dark haired woman said loudly and growled dangerously " He doesn't have time for us he is bored of all of us" she said and threw the wine glass against the wall watching the dark liquid drain down the wall and onto one of the pillows.

Sighing she got up and moved to the window looking out at the night time sky and breathing easily. "I need to get out of here" she said and looked around before she moved over to a secret compartment looking inside and seeing the stone " sweet freedom, lets hope it works this time" she said to herself and moved to the window and holding it up to the moonlight. She saw the forest and she saw the town, saying the words in a low tone she disappeared and reappeared in the deserted town. She swirled around and looked down not seeing the stone in her hand, had it worked? Had she really been able to make her own teleportation stone. She waited for a moment then jumped for joy at her success for a moment then looked down at herself, " clothes.." she said and looked around coming to a store she looked into the dark window and decided that it would have to do. Moving around to the back she moved her hands in slow beautiful movements manipulating the vines to snake into the lock and unlock the door. With success she walked in and moved around looking for something. She finally settled on a pair of jeans with boots, a tank top and leather jacket. She grabbed a pair of aviators and walked out locking the door behind her. She would pay for the clothes eventually, maybe she could get to the human world without Draken following her, here was hoping.

The rest of their evening passed fairly quietly, even for them. Susan made herself some food and he joined her at the table while she ate, the two making small talk as any other couple would do, both ignoring the fact that their lives had suddenly gotten more complicated than they could ever imagine. After dinner, they watched a movie together, simply curled up on the couch sharing their warmth but the entire time Alex played the events of the encounter with Draken through his mind and never totally relaxed. He wasn’t sure what to do about that, how to eliminate the threat from their life altogether, especially without killing the demon which he knew Susan wouldn’t want. She was human, and the idea of killing just wasn’t a part of her life the way it was a demon’s, but truth be told, Alex wasn’t too keen on the idea either. It was the main reason he’d gone to earth to get her instead of finding a woman on his world; he was just too different from others of his kind.

Later that night, lying in bed, Alex dreamed. It was a weird dream, involving a castle in the level 1 demon area of the world, and in the dream he saw women. Three to be exact but two of them were human, which he remembered caught his eye. Event happened in the dream steadily but he wouldn’t remember any of them. All he remembered was shooting up in bed with a start, sweat streaming down his scaly skin, the sudden realization that the dream wasn’t a dream at all but some sort of waking reality walk front and center in his mind. Draken had also had a demon woman in his castle but she was now free and right in the town that he lived in. More importantly, she was alone and most likely needed help. Glancing down at Susan, he gently shook her awake. “Susan, wake up, it’s urgent.” As soon as she was conscious, he quickly filled her in on all that he had learned. Any other demon would have left her alone, left her to her fates, but Alex wasn't like any other demon. He knew Draken would be hunting her and what he would do when he found her.

Meanwhile, in another part of the world, where Draken had gone to work off his anger over being defeated by Susan and Alex, a disturbance was felt. The demon paused in his pacing to look inward and realized what had happened. “Son of a bitch!” he growled, realizing his demon concubine had managed to escape the castle and was now loose in their world. Sitting down, he began to send out his senses, trying to find the woman, and when he did her life would become a living hell. He wouldn’t kill her, oh no, not that; he’s simply torture her and use her as a play thing, then pass her along to everyone else to do the same. A smile spread across his evil lips as he began to the search, energy humming through his body instantly.

Her name was Astrate, born of this world and has been subjected to Draken's pleasures since she came of age, which was when she sprouted boobs and acquired her lovely figure. She walked along the road and felt something invading her mind. She put up her mental block which was rather strong and incased herself in a barrier to block him out. She was a powerful female, but he had cast a spell ont he castle to keep all the non human women vulnerable and powerless which sucked because she missed her powers and she was glad she still had them in tact. Moving past the forest she started to wave her hand around making the flowers bloom out and shine with the moonlight. Looking around now she saw a single house up on the hill, sending her mind outward she sensed two people inside the house and moved towards it. She stopped when she looked at the barrier and wrinkled her nose a bit as she walked around it. Sending her thoughts outward she pulsed them off the male inside and wondered if he would let her in. She was a woman after all and who would deny a woman in the dimension?

Susan sat up listening to him but she felt something through the house. She got out of bed and walked to the window in her tank top and underwear seeing the woman he spoke of " Alex..." she said quietly and moved to the side to look at him with those tired eyes of hers. She grabbed her jeans and pulled them over her slender legs and moved into the living room " we have a visitor" she said still in that tired voice.

Alex was well attuned to the town that lay below his house and he could feel the woman walking through it, using her magic here and there to brighten the place as much as she could. It was an odd thing to do for a demon, especially one that had been in Draken’s clutches, so it intrigued him. He rolled out of bed at the same time Susan did and watch her walk to the window. It was then he felt the probe against his shields and he knew it came from the woman. She had zero’d in on them for some reason and was headed their way now. He sent out a pulse of his own, letting his magic flow from the house and down the land until it flowed over her, taking her measure to get a feel for what he was dealing with.

She had strength, definitely strength, and was currently shielding herself; he suspected that was for Draken’s benefit of course but maybe not. Movement caught his eye then and he saw Susan getting dressed. “I know, love, I know. I’m not sure why though. Give me a moment to communicate with her.” Closing his eyes, he pulsed his thoughts through his magic, knocking on her shield. Who are you and why are you here?

**

Draken thought he'd found her at first and then a wave of energy surged up, blocking off his magic, killing his link. He swore softly, realizing she'd thrown up a shield, one that was far stronger than he thought it would be. Cursing some more, he teleported to an area that was somewhat close to the last ping he'd gotten but he knew she wouldn't be there. Plopping down, he started searching again, trying to find her energy pattern among millions that were out there.

Susan nodded and went to the kitchen to get something out of the fridge and put it int he microwave. If she was anything she was humble and welcomed guests. She didn't feel a threat from the outside so she warmed a plate up just in case the woman was to come in and make herself comfortable.

Astrate stayed ont he edge of the barrier and felt her shield being knocked. Feeling it was friendly she closed her eyes and heard his question "my name is Astrate I have been in Drakens whore harem for far to long, I seek refuge till I can get myself into the human world and escape him permanently" she said to him and opened her eyes while looking at the windows. Her eyes searched for something...anything that would indicate that he would let her in.

As he waited for a response, Alex watched Susan exit the room, briefly wondering where she was going. Before he could ask though, his inquiry was answered, the female demon’s voice coming through loud and clear. He listened intently as she spoke, her words confirming what the dream-like vision had already indicated to him, but he was still leery. With a thought, he sent a note to Susan indicating he was going outside to face her and then triggered his magic.

Appearing on the lawn in front of the woman, Alex kept his personal shields up and an offensive spell at the ready. “Welcome to my land” he said, inclining his head just slightly. “Forgive me if I’m not willing to trust you completely yet. My mate and I have had recent run ins with Draken ourselves and I’m loath to fall for a trap.” He studied her, his eyes moving over her body slowly, noting her figure and her beauty dispassionately. “How did you manage to escape his lair?”

Susan snapped her head back in time to watch him vanish from where he stood. An alarm went off in her head as she moved to the window to look outside at them. She wasn't the jealous type but she was weary of anything to do with Draken.

Astrate looked at him and frown lightly" what ever he has done to harm you, I assure you that I have no part in it, I want him gone just as badly as anyone else does, I want my own life and someone to share it with..your mate?" she asked and tilted her head a little before she paused and looked at him, thats probably why Draken had left her and the other girls alone, he was after the new female " He gets what he wants..all the time" she said to him and curved her arms infront of her body and hugged her frame while looking at him " i won't bother you and your mate, I just seek refudge till I can leave, For good.. I managed to make a teleporation stone that would only work once..don't ask me how i got the spells." she told him and stood up proudly now. She was a great beauty and it showed in every pore in her body. Flowers grew around her feet while vines curled around them slightly cause she was standing in one place for to long, plus her powers were radiating and thriving.

He listened with interest as she told her tale, nodding his head at the appropriate moments. It was clear that this demon was proud and also powerful and the loved the way the vines curled around her feet as if they were a part of her. “Yes, my mate” he said. “A human woman from Earth that I brought here to be with me.” He considered telling her about Susan’s ability to work magic but decided against it. While she might be a possible ally for them against Draken, she was not t be trusted completely just yet. “
We can give you haven for now as Draken has not found a way past my barriers yet but I don’t know how long that will last. He is already hunting us and if he learns we have taken you in, he will no doubt do everything in his power to get to us.”

Reaching out, he put his hand on her shoulder, ignoring the buzz of energy that flashed up his arm, and with a thought brought her through the shields and into the house. They landed in the living room, in full sight of the kitchen, so Alex called out to Susan. “Susan, honey, we have a guest. She’s no friend of Draken’s and in need of our help.” Glancing at the other demon, he said under his breath “don’t do anything stupid. I’d hate to have to hurt you.”

Susan came from the kitchen and peaked around the corrner, She wore a loose scoop neck t-shirt and those jeans but no bra since he had woken her up fromt heir sleep earlier " No friend of Drakens hum? Isn't that a good thing Alex" she said and brought in a plate of food setting it ont he table and smiled " I'm sure you must be hungry so if you would like you are welcome to dig in" she said and moved over to stand next Alex her arm moving to place her hand on his forearm while looking at her. The woman clearly towered over susan, she was tall and all leggy with the same skin as Alex. The woman only smiled and nodded " i'm sorry to impose...but anyone else would of been..well lets just say they might take advantage" she said and eyed the food that was offered to her. It smelled different since she was used to foods that wouldn't make her gain weight. Moving tot he food she drew in the smells of the pasta with some sort of white cream and was that chicken?. Looking back at them she sat down and took the fork dipping it into the pasta then drew it up to her mouth to taste it making her go wide eyed " this is....omg genius!" she said and smiled towards them.

The female demon didn’t acknowledge his comment but her body stiffened slightly so Alex knew she’d heard it. That was good; this wasn’t a game to him and if the demon in any way threatened Susan, he would act. He’d rather face Susan’s ire than risk losing her again to another trick of Draken’s. As soon emerged from the kitchen, Alex couldn’t help but notice the shirt she had on or the fact that her breasts swung free and for a moment, just a moment, desire surged through his body. He tamped it down though and gave her a nod. “Normally, I’d say yes but after our last encounter with him, I’m not feeling to trustworthy right now.”

As she set the plate down on the table, the demon spoke again, her words polite and deferential. She sat down and began to dig into the food while they watched, clearly starved. When the compliment came, Alex couldn’t help but smile, seeing the way Susan’s face lit up. “She is a pretty good cook, isn’t she?” he said. Pulling out a chair, he sat across from the demon. “We opened our home to you, Astrate, so now I’d like some answers. How did you come to be in Draken’s lair in the first place and what are your plans now?” He knew she could be an ally but he wasn’t sure exactly how she could fit into that role yet.

Susan sat next to him now and continued to watch the woman devour the meal. reaching her hand up she ran her fingers into her scalp while Alex asked his question, it was a valid question of course and she was all to eager to listen to the answer, of course she was also weary about her being here. It could be a trap to kill them both at this point.

Astrate looked up and finished the bite in her mouth before wiping her mouth with a thumb and putting it between those plump beautiful lips " How else does a level one demon get a woman? He kidnaps her and uses her like a piece of furniture. I was taken when the virus hit everyone and was lucky to not catch it...but I wish I had died with them then i wouldn't of been with Draken...I plan to head to earth or some other dimension where i can settle down and be worry free, I fear I will never be like that because I can feel him..even now as i speak to you..he is a cruel man..please don't send me back to him" she pleaded while looking at them with those eyes of hers.

Alex glanced at Susan as she sat, giving her a small smile and nod, then turned his attention back to their guest, watching her like a hawk watches its prey. When Astrate finally paused in her eating and began to speak, Alex tensed up. He remembered the virus; it had swept through pockets of their world with a vengeance, wiping out many demons. Thankfully, it had avoided his little area and he’d come through unscathed but others hadn’t been so lucky. Rumor had it that the virus had been created by another Level 1, to wipe the planet of those he considered inferior, but that was never substantiated.

When her final words came, three things hit him, rocking him back in his seat. The first was that she could feel Draken, though her own personal shield was in place and she was behind the protections of his home. It meant that there was a link between them, someone allowing him to sense where she was and vice versa. He would be coming for her. The second was her desire to flee to Earth; he knew from his own experience that Draken was single minded in his obsessions and if he came for her here, he’d come for her there and that would not be good for any place she settled, much less Earth. A memory of Susan’s mom flashed through his mind and a growl slipped from his lips before he could stop it. Draken would not get Earth so long as Alex lived. The last was the fear in her voice, fear that most demon’s would be loath to show, even if they felt it. Draken had clearly traumatized her, no doubt physically as well as sexually. “I would never send you back to Draken, Astrate” he said, his eyes boring into hers “but your presence here is a danger to us. If you can sense him, he can sense you and he will track you. Of this, I have no doubt.”

Susan felt the anger and the fear course through Alex rather quickly in turn she reached out and grabbed his hand softly to try and ease him down " I agree, you are a huge danger to us we only just fought him off and haven't regained the strength to do so this soon. You can't go to earth he will surely destroy it and everything beautiful and almost innocent about it. The only way to be rid of him is to kill him..even if I am against harming anyone I will do so to whom ever has cause anyone so much pain and torture" she said smoothly while looking to alex with those pretty green eyes, she still needed time to recover it was hard for her just to touch alex with out thinking about Draken and how he almost had her in his claws. This had caused a rupture in their relationship and she was trying to rebuild it.

The woman looked to the two of them slowly before nodding her head " i understand I should not of asked you two to put your lives on the line for me for that I am very sorry...but" she leaned closer to Alex with a seductive look in her eyes and a smile that was almost with lust and venom " if you get tired of being careful with the human and want to show your true self you let me know" she said before licking her lips and reaching down to take the plate" I'll return this to you" she said to them before heading towards the door.

Alex listened to Susan’s words carefully, shock reverberating through his system, stunned that she’d opt for Draken’s death. On one hand, it shouldn’t surprise him, not after what the demon had put her through but on the other it did. She was an innocent soul, not used to violence, her own words indicating that yet here she was, standing behind the idea, accepting reality for what it was. He had already come to that conclusion, had already made up his mind that if the opportunity arose, he’d do it and deal with the fallout with Susan as it came but for the first time, he wondered if there would be fallout at all. He met her gaze with one of his own, letting his love shine through.

He was brought back to the present when Astrate spoke again, suddenly aware that she was leaning close to him across the table. His gaze moved forward and he swallowed hard at her words, shocked that she would come onto him with Susan right there. Silence followed her statement for a moment and then he finally regained his senses, flashing her a frown. “Your offer is duly noted, Astrate, but I am happily taken.” He reached out and slid his fingers into Susan’s, giving her hand a squeeze. Standing then, he watched as the demonness headed for the door, knowing she wouldn’t be able to pass through the barrier without his help. That’s when he felt it, the pulse of energy that blasted the shield, causing a spike of pain to shoot through his head. He swore softly and pushed from the table, reaching out to her. “Stop! Something just attacked our shields.” He couldn’t sense if it was Draken or not.

Susan was just as stunned as he was when the woman made her offer. Narrowing her eyes slightly she would defend the man that gave her a new life till the end of time but he stood up and ripped her a new one even tangling his fingers with hers. When she felt his pain she froze for a moment before she dashed around the table and grabbed the woman hauling her back in making her drop the dish. Closing the door sharply she looked down at the woman and wanted to growl herself " Alex...we have to leave..this place isn't safe any more and you can't hold the defenses up yourself" she said to him and moved over wrapping her arms around his waist and letting their magic fuse together. Hopefully she could heal him and create a stronger barrier with him. After all they were stronger when touching.

Astrate gasped and fell on her tush int he livingroom. She felt the power just pulse fromt he outside andd knew if was Draken come to take her life for escaping. She looked to the two near the table and frowned slowly. She saw the glow susan had around her and it seemed to take over him to....were they sharing their power? Impossible. She thought to herself. Rising up slowly she looked at them then outside to see a dark figure which made her shiver

The next few moments happened too fast for Alex to comprehend at first. His eyes saw Susan break his grip and dart around the table, grabbing the demon woman and flinging her backwards onto the floor. He heard the crash of the plate and saw the splatter of food that flew everywhere but that was all he had time to digest before pain wracked him again. Draken was out there, he could feel that now, and it was his magic pulsing against his shields, causing tremors to course through his body with each blast. The bastard was strong, very, very strong, that much was clear but Alex buckled down and held his own, not wanting to let him in. Not only Astrate’s life would be forfeit if he failed and he would not fail.

That resolve weakened though as the demon continued to batter at the shields and he only half heard Susan speak. He felt her arms wrap around his waist though and felt the infusion of energy that blasted into his core when she fused with him. Her magic was cooling and soft, sensual almost, and it slid over his, blending seamlessly. It never failed to amaze him whenever it happened and this time was no different. With the magic came energy, strong vibrant energy that picked him up and strengthened him and with a single thought he turned that towards the shields, buffering them. Draken knew it too, for his frustrated roar could be heard through the windows, screamed so loudly that the panes shook in their frames.

More blasts followed, each as strong or stronger than the last, drawing a curse from Alex’s lips. This had to stop, he had to buy them time, but he was at a loss. That’s when the image came to him, the image of an old earth science fiction movie, and it drew a grin to his lips. Placing his hands on Susan’s, he focused his thoughts and with a single flash of consciousness, he turned the energy from the shield into a beam of light. It shot from the house foundation, scorching across the lawn, and drilled Draken square in the chest. A glow spread over him immediately, encasing him tight and with another thought, Alex flung him back to where he’d come. The flash was bright and brilliant, not to mention loud, but when it was done, Draken stood there no more. “That…bought…us…time” he murmured right before he staggered then finally collapsed in Susan’s arms.

Closing her eyes she opened all of her magic to him leaving her vulnerable while against him. She hummed lightly and soon felt him take from her and repair the shields. The distant shouts came from the outside but it was faint to her all she heard and saw was the magic fusing together to create something strong and magical. Feeling him draw her in closer she began to grow weaker and weaker and before she knew it she was falling backwards with him on top of her. She was just as drained as he was and it was apparent they had used a lot of energy which wasn't a good thing considering they had a stranger in the house. Opening her eyes weakly she looked up and saw the woman hovering over them frowning she saw her get closer to study her before Susan blacked out.

Astrate looked at the two passed out and was instantly jealous of their union, she had never seen a male draw on the magical powers of a female before , not that there were many females with magical powers, still around. Looking around she couldn't sense Draken anymore and that was a good thing. Putting up her mental block she reached down and grabbed Alex first And heaved him into her arms. She may be tall and slim but she was stil a strong demon able to carry heavy loads if the need arouse. Walking him back where their scents were strongest she laid him in his bed and went to get susan who was just as light as her mate. Laying them both in the bed she closed the door after performing a healing spell to help them revive even faster she went into the living room and examined their home , it was nice with still the hint of a bachelor pad to it but she could tell where susan added her own touches to the place. Looking at the bowl of water on the counter she noticed something swimming around with vibrant colors shimmering in the slight light that was provided. Tilting her head she wondered what this creature was. Watching it turn to look at her she instantly moved away and went to sit on the couch sighing softly she pushed her hair from her face and looked to the ceiling . What was she going to do..she couldn't live her life on the run only other way was to face draken himself, since she was a level 1 female demon she might stand a small chance. Soon she fell asleep on the couch and blocked her mind from dreams.

Alex awoke slowly, as if his body was crawling its way up from a grave, every movement torture. He was breathing hard, his chest rising and falling rapidly, and he could feel the pain radiating along his nerves, sending tingles throughout his body. Slowly blinking his eyes open, he steadied his breathing and listened with his ears and his senses, checking for danger. Sensing none nearby he tried to sit up but found that too painful at first so he simply moved his head, checking out the room. That’s when he saw Susan, also lying next to him, her body limp in sleep. Furrowing his brows as he narrowed his eyes, he sent his senses over her, checking inside and out. He sighed in relief when he found no injuries; she would be as sore as he was when she woke up but there would be no lasting damage from their skirmish with Draken.

His eyes widened then as he recalled the battle and the way he’d passed out after taking the energy she offered and blasting the demon back to his land. Had Susan brought him to bed or had he gotten there some other way? Was she simple asleep or had she passed out also? Softly rolling to his side, he reached out and stroked his fingers through her hair, pausing to listen to her even breathing. She was sleeping well now, that was for sure, and her face looked at peace. With that knowledge, he climbed out of bed, pulling the covers up over her and then wandered out into the living room. Still groggy from the sleep and the pain coursing through his body, he almost jumped when he saw the demon on his couch. It took a moment to recall the details but they came eventually and he approached her carefully. Astrate appeared to be asleep, clearly having decided to stay after the incident with Draken. This could get interesting, he thought, as he left her there and padded quietly into the kitchen. Putting a fresh pot of coffee on, he sat at the kitchen table and dropped his head onto his arms, choosing to rest while he waited for the others to wake up.

It was a while before The dark haired woman rose and blinked her eyes while looking around. Seeing Alex asleep on the table she got up slowly and moved to the bathroom being quiet as she went before stopping to look in the bedroom at Susan. Snearing at her for a moment she felt jealous that the girl had a mate as nice and loving as Alex and she found herself wanting the lesser demon at that moment. Looking back at Alex she quietly moved into their bedroom and stood over Susan before reaching out and pointing her finger at her mouth and nose and making her inhale something for a moment. She decided to get the girl deathly sick and possibly kill the woman and take Alex for herself..yes it was perfect. After a moment she left the room and darted into the bathroom before Alex could wake up.

Susan woke up coughing and sneazing violently as she tried to supress it with something but the sheet was the closest thing she could reach. Her cheeks and nose were both red, obviously she was having some alergic reaction to what ever the woman gave her but they wouldn't know that. Her vison was getting blurry as she gasped for air she got up and crawled to the side of the bed where an old glass of water was sitting up with her bad vision she knocked it over and it broke.

The sneezing and coughing woke him up, his head jerking up hard, eyes wide with wild energy. Demons didn’t get sick often, but he’d heard the symptoms during his wanderings of earth, and he immediately looked for Susan, not finding her or Astrate in the immediate vicinity. Ignoring the smell of the finished coffee, he headed towards the back bedroom, seeing the bathroom door closed. The sounds were in the bedroom and in a panicked moment, he knew it was Susan. Her heard the shatter of the glass before he reached the doorway and sprinted the last distance, his hands wrapping around her where she crawled on the floor. “Susan! What’s wrong, baby?” he murmured, feeling her body shiver and tremble in his grip, the coughs and sneezes racking her body hard. Turning her so he could see her face, his eyes widened more at her splotchy red color.

Something was wrong, very, very wrong. That’s when he felt it and his head snapped up. Demon magic. There were traces of it on Susan’s face. A spell had been cast on her, one that was making it hard for her to breath. He put his hand on her face, making sure not to fully cover her mouth and nose and sent energy into her, trying to rid her of the spell. It failed though, not quite strong enough, though it did lessen the pain and suffering some. Holding her, he thought quickly. This didn’t sound like Draken so that left only Astrate. His head spun towards the bathroom again and he swore softly; she’d hit on him earlier – was she trying to kill Susan now. Moving his beloved back to the bed after dribbling a little of the water from the pitcher between her lips, he then moved swiftly to the bathroom, kicking open the door with a mighty roar. “Astrate!!” he screamed. “What did you do to her?”
