Parental Guidance (Omako & Celebstars)

Kristen was sat at the table and started to eat what he had cooked. She wasn't going to lie to him or herself, she had had better. But given he was young and only starting it was a very good attempt. "I didn't know you could cook like this, looks like you will be cooking for me a lot more." Winking at him, the vase in the middle of the table spoilt their view of one another. "Are you looking forward to the holiday? I think we both need one don't we? Your rotten father has left us feeling all depressed hasn't he" Her tone was very contradicting as it sounded very happy emotionally.

The blonde wasn't sure on how her son would take the insult to his father. "Mmm food is lovely." Blowing it on the end of her fork she took another bite before looking overly excited.

He knew it wasn't perfect, but he was glad that she at least was able to eat it, more than he could say for the first time he tried the dish. "I'm really just learning a bit in classes, but I'm hoping to get better. Anything for my wonderful mother." He took another bite as he saw her wink. "I wasn't sure whether to expect the holiday, but I certainly have nothing to complain about. If Dad's not gonna be here because he couldn't handle a family, he doesn't deserve to go on the vacation, much less be married to you." He complimented her across the table. He'd never favored either parent, but he was a bit resentful towards his dad for not even thinking of taking him. Not that he hated his Mom, but his dad never gave him a thought in the divorce.

"I'm glad you like it." He smiled. He took a sip of his drink as he moved the vase just a bit to the side. "Conversation's better when we can see each other."

As she drank and sipped some of her wine frequently, Kristen was becoming tipsy with made her more adventurous and open. The downside would be the fact that she could also turn nasty and not even remember it. The meal had been eaten and she was at the table texting her friends, ignoring her son and being quite rude about it. After a nice dinner she then had to go and ruin it, something which was in her nature, yet her looks probably made up for it.

"Can you make me a coffee I think I have had to much wine for now" Kristen told her son, looking at the touch screen still and paying no attention to him. Stretching her eyes open with her fingers she was fast falling asleep to, yawning in the process.

And there's his mother's usual attitude. He forgave her this time since she probably was a bit stressed from the therapy session. He went to start brewing her coffee while she texted a bit more. He threw in enough to have some himself. He had to at least make sure she was aware of herself.

"Mom, I know you're trying to unwind with the wine, but don't forget what your therapist said. You're a bit stressed out, and I'm sure he knows what's best for you." He had no idea what she'd actually been told, he just assumed she'd been given some advice not to drink heavily in case she did anything to stress her out more.

He brought the two cups to the tables, plus a couple cookies he'd baked with some dough from the store earlier.
