Natural Born Instincts (Yuna & DontxBlinkk's 1x1)

Colin looked up from his spot at the door, eyes trailing across the floor to her feet before swiftly moving up to meet her eyes. It took him a moment to regain himself from a sudden want to strike her and bite her neck again, but he kept himself still by gripping the handle set up behind him. He quickly found his control again and took in a deep breath before pushing himself away from the door to stand up properly.

"You'll be staying here," he said simply, as if that would explain everything. Luckily, he continued. "I was paid for catching you, holding you, dealing with you, but in the end, you'll be staying here with me." He lifted up a small change pouch, which jingled as he moved it to show her his new, slight raise of wealth. "Part of the deal was that you would be trained as a bounty hunter. How much of that will actually happen is..." He paused, dropping his hand and debating. "... still up in the air. But know that whatever is decided, this is your new home." A smile slid across his features, sensing a fight was coming from the woman. He would welcome it, of course, but it was going to happen.

"But don't worry. You're not leaving with them. That's the most important thing, hm?"

Her eyes narrowed and an annoyed scoff left her lips. "Fuck off. I am a bounty hunter ... in my own way, at least. I sure as fuck don't need your help with it." Besides, she had no reassurance his definition of 'helping her' would be .... reliable, let alone any good adjective one could use in this situation. She felt ... torn on the rest of the situation. The mere thought of this being where she'd reside from now on made a knot form in her stomach. And yet, she should be glad, if for no other reason than to avoid having been handed over. But was this really better when all was said and done? Or worse?

She wasn't sure ... nor equally certain on wanting to find out. Her eyes stared at Colin before going over his shoulder and looking at the door behind him. It'd be much easier ... if she were in far better shape than she was now. More than that, though, Lillithria wouldn't want to leave without her dagger. That was hers after all.

"This ... is just a long-ass nightmare ..... " She finally decided, a weak laugh leaving her lips. "Wake me when it's over." Sure, it was a delusional answer. But of all the things the dhampir could wish for off the top of her head, being in front of Colin was definitely not anywhere in an immediate grasp. And he'd be right on her giving a fight .. if it weren't for the fact Lillithria knew her body and thus her limits. And tempting as it was, she wouldn't engage him when there was practically no chance for her to win.

Maybe when she better rested up .. but as it was .. no.

Pushing herself off against the wall, she began carefully making her way back to the bedroom, her eyes finally moving away from the vampire's.

The fuck with this bullshit .... She mused, her fists shaking as she clenched them, still continuing towards her destination. With all the times her sleep had gotten interrupted, maybe that much if nothing else would help her better recover.

The man remained still, eyes following his guest before his lips pulled back into a smirk. "Sure, I'll wake you up," he agreed with a soft chuckle. To say he was entertained by the woman in front of him would be an understatement and he wasn't even trying to hide that amusement. He gave her a small wave with his hand before dropping his body down onto the couch. If she was going to get her own rest, it wouldn't hurt him to do the same. His senses would make it impossible for her to sneak past him while he was sober, which meant he would be able to tell what she was doing before she got very far. The dhampir was going to be a handful, Colin could see that as clear as day. He would have to learn to take advantage of the low moments while he could and get rest before she decided to act against how he advised.

Stressful. That's what this deal was going to be. Lucky for him, he could deal with stressful. In fact, for most of his life, he had been dealing with just that. Or what seemed to be most of his life... the vampire couldn't remember much further back than just a few years ago. His life as a bounty hunter began then and so far, he had a good living. Maybe it was better to not remember what had happened to him in his past. Those who found him seemed more than willing to give him a new life and help him find a new path to walk. Whatever had happened before clearly wasn't the best for him in their eyes. As much as Colin appreciated their help, sometimes he wished he could remember just what had happened before he lost his memories. He wouldn't return to it, or he doubted he would, but it would explain so many of those nightmares he had. It would make this new life better.

Or so he thought.

Either way, he was there now, in a nice apartment, laying on a comfortable couch, with a bounty sitting in the room beside his. A bounty with a spirit and a pretty face at that. And blood to die for... oh this was going to be well worth the trouble.

Poor Lillithria all but collapsed on her new bed; yet of all the times to feel wide awake, now seemed like the worst moments. Glancing - no glaring - up at the ceiling, the events began to replay in her mind. Why had this happened again? All that came back to the dhampir was this bastard had been paid ... by a very well hidden and discreet group of vampires no less it seemed. Really though, since when had they put bounties upon others? It made her unable to help but snicker; they seemed to be getting more and more lazy as the race continued to exist. How ironic that some of the best hunters were beginning to give up the occupation they were practically made for.

Still .. the fact she was now with one herself, let alone the same who had captured her, made a low groan pass her lips. Her emotions were still very torn and all over the place, but she supposed it was a good thing that didn't apply to herself.

You should just be glad he's letting you live.

Yeah .. but at what cost? You can't seriously think he really only wants to make you a fucking bounty hunter, right?

The internal argument in her head continued, bringing up more and more valid points from both sides, as it were. And even if she was correct on him wanting her for more than he'd mentioned ... none of that mattered right now.

Lillithria may as well be weaponless. Her bow and arrow hadn't been confiscated though it'd be more than simple enough for Colin to hear her notching an arrow. Worse than that, she had almost no space to properly use the damn thing in. The dagger would by far be the much better weapon to try to use against him but that - of all things - had been the one he'd forced her to give up.

"Hopefully he fucking realizes I'm gonna need that to do his training crap .... " She murmured, pulling the covers back over her once again as a frustrated growl passed her lips. Turning to her side, Lillithria let her eyes close and after a few, deep breaths she finally fell asleep on her own.

Now hopefully she could be allowed ample amount of reprieve, if absolutely nothing else. That much would definitely be needed for her to do anything for this bastard, if not a weapon.

Colin was actually pleased that he didn't hear anything coming from the room. While he would still have to pay attention to what's going on around him in the apartment, the signs that she had fallen asleep meant that he could take his own break for a few hours and catch up on his own rest. He spent an hour or so in the living room, resting on the couch, wandering through the apartment to tidy a few things up, before he started into his own bedroom. He left his door open, a rare action for him, and fell onto his own bed to fall to sleep much like Lillithria was. His mind was racing, replaying what had gone through his head for the entire day. Since the moment he woke up, something had been hanging over him. It was an unfamiliar feeling, something he had never felt before, but it was one that he could recognize right away. Although he wouldn't admit it. The best he could do was wipe the feeling away and ignore it.

That's exactly what the man was set to do.

Sleep was the best way to go through the motions to remove the feeling. With a few hours of rest under his belt and the sun peaking through the tinted windows, it was a sign for the man to get up. Even without the curtains drawn, the man was protected by the sun. Not because of some day walking ability, but because of what was built into the window. A UV shield, of sorts, had been installed in the glass, giving the vampires inside of the home the ability to look out onto the city without having to worry about feeling the pain of their personal curse.

It took a few minutes for the brunette to really start moving from his bed, but when he did, he slid to his feet and wandered from his bedroom. His sweatpants hung low on his hips and his shirt had been removed during the night, leaving him with a bare chest and a nice view of his well exercised body.

There wasn't much he could do without worry about waking the woman in the next room. He figured she was still asleep, but the smell of breakfast might wake her up. Worth a try, wasn't it? It had been a few weeks since Colin had made breakfast for anyone and while this woman might not have wanted it, Colin was going to try to be a good host.

For the time being.

Lillithria had known and perfectly understood how very risky sleeping in this room - let alone apartment - had been. But she was still partly human and couldn't force herself to remain conscious for an insane amount of hours. The rest was needed. It was much like blood in fact; after a certain amount of time, one couldn't ignore the urge to obtain it. And the longer you tried to forget of it, the worse of a toll it had upon your body. Though the sleep had been a tad uneasy, it had also been plentiful all the same.

The scent of food made her stir and groan softly. "... Hm?"

After a brief glance around, she noted the smell was coming from outside, in the kitchen area to be more exact. Rubbing the sleep away from her eyes, Lillithria stretched a few times before finally sitting up. A low sigh left as her attention went to her body -- and the dhampir realized eventually, she would need new clothes. But that could be brought up later. Right now, the food sounded and smelled so very nice.

The gesture was only odd ... simply because of whom was making the meal. He didn't need it, not technically. And yet he was still preparing the breakfast as if he were a human or dhampir himself. Well, it seemed that way to the huntress at least. Taking a seat at the table, her eyes gazed over and finally, she managed to give a small nod of her head. "... Morning." She greeted. If he was going to actually play the 'civil' card, she could attempt to return the favor ... for now.

Colin gave a slight wave of his hand towards the woman as she came out of the room. The low sound of jazz was filling the living area, giving it a relaxed feeling. Compared to what it was the night before in the room, it was a pleasant change for the man. "Morning," he finally greeted, reaching up to pull a plate from a nearby cabinet. The toaster popped, the man slid to the right and he continued to make up some sort of breakfast for the woman. "I hope you don't mind eggs. I don't have much just yet..."

He turned around slowly, letting his eyes settle on the woman now sitting at the table. "Toast, eggs, bacon..." He tipped his head slightly, resting his hands on the island of the kitchen, tipping his head ever so slightly. It sounded like a good breakfast, but he could never remember eating that sort of meal. A haunting feeling began to play with his nerves, slowly driving him closer to the 'deep end' as people called it. Luckily, his sanity and the scent of food could bring him back. A smile slowly crossed his lips as he looked her over. "Sounds good, doesn't it?" Colin turned back around and began to place the bits of food onto the plate, grabbing a slice of bacon in his free hand and carrying it over to set in front of Lillithria.

"How did you sleep?" The words coming from his lips now sounded a bit as if he was teasing the woman in front of him. "Was the room too warm? Or was it just right?" He bit into the bacon, ripping it with his teeth before grinning. He tasted the salty food, but it didn't do one bit to fill him. But hopefully it would help her.

This was so .... bewildering. The man had seemed to have a change of heart. In fact, if Lillithria didn't know better, all that had happened yesterday was indeed just a nightmare. He was treating her more like a lover than a prisoner. But few times if ever did the dhampir forget things. And with something as significant as being ambushed and captured by a vampire, she knew this was definitely not her imagination. But all the same, what was this? A damn good act? Or was Colin being genuine with the new attitude? She couldn't tell and though Lillithria wouldn't admit it aloud, she was nervous on not being able to figure the man out.

".. It does, yes." She answered, letting her eyes rest upon the vampire's. As his own smile crossed his face, she tried to get a read off of that too. But once again, nothing. She felt herself inwardly sigh and frown. This .. was so weird to her. What in the hell was going on? There had to be a catch. After all, if something was too good to be true, it usually was. And for damn good reasons too.

Still, she reminded herself of the silent vow. He was still playing the civil and calm card. And thus Lillithria would continue to do so herself. Taking her fork, she caught some of the eggs upon the prongs and began to eat. A low sigh of relief passed her lips and only when she finished chewing did the hybrid even begin to reply to Colin. ".. Well enough I suppose." It hadn't been perfect by any means. But it had been something and for that much, Lillithria was grateful. Her head shook no as she the huntress tried her best to ignore the seemingly mocking tone. "It was fine as it was."

Her gaze lowered back to the food as she resumed eating, trying to keep her focus on the meal.

The man tipped his head, eyes settling on the woman in front of him as he looked both her and her meal over. Humans could be so strange some times, like he couldn't remember ever relating to them or even being one. That was a lie of course, since he found several old pictures of a time when he was at the city's well known beach. But there was still something so off about how they acted, what they had to go through in their every day life, the routines... Colin couldn't wrap his mind around them no matter how many times he stopped to think about it. Of course now he was attempting to work out the great mystery of the universe while staring at a woman in his kitchen. Quite strange, for sure.

Maybe he was the freak...

With a clearing of his throat, the man turned away, moving to the fridge to fill two glasses. One was with the familiar orange drink and the other with a ruby red liquid. He turned back around and passed the juice to the woman before cracking a slight smile. "So. Let's talk, hm?" He took a sip of the blood and gently moved the cup, watching the liquid flow form side to side in the glass, almost teasing the half-blood sucker in front of him with the wonderful liquid of life. His questioning eyes narrowed slowly as he continued to look at his forced room mate. "I'm sure you have some questions for me. Or plan on accusing me of something, some crazy thing like that. Or would you rather eat in peace?" The man took another sip and backed away ever so slightly, the sly smile still lingering on his lips.

It hadn't taken Lillithria long to finish her own meal. By the time he returned with the drinks, her plate was empty. It was frustrating to stare at his glass, knowing he definitely was trying to test her. But she kept quiet, refusing to glare or make any form of protest. And there was only one reason for it. She wasn't a full vampire like Colin. Maybe if that were the case, she'd need the blood far more often. But thankfully, Lillithria could wait a day - three at most - before needing some again. Taking her own slow sip to savor the juice, she waited before finally Colin did indeed speak up.

An inward scoff instantly echoed in her head. Hmph, what you and your clients asked for was crazy though. End of story ...

"No, the peace is fine." And indeed, he'd been correct. There was a question floating around in her mind, now more so that she'd had a better chance to think on this. "You don't seem like you need me, not even for a bounty hunter to be. Is that really what you're keeping me here for? Or is there something else I haven't been informed of?"

Though it was worded much nicer, it was still clear that her mind hadn't changed. Of all the places she could be, here was not Lillithria's preference at all.

The man took in a slow, deep breath before letting it out as a hum. Well wasn't that a question... quite a serious one, at that. Serious, big, difficult to answer, all of the above. Colin hated questions like that, but he wasn't going to let it go He was going to give her some sort of answer. With a slight tip of his head, swaying it slowly back and forth as he pursed his lips together, the vampire debated over the proper answer to tell her. "Well, it's true. I don't need you to be a hunter. Actually better if you weren't so I don't have to split the cost with anyone. You can relate to that, can't you?" He took a sip of the drink before breaking into a faint smile. More teasing from the vampire man.

"But you could be of use." His eyes turned to the window across the room before returning to the woman. "I have several jobs for you, ways you'll be useful without being a hunter. But while that's fun, I know it's not for everyone." He flashed a smile to the girl and finished the liquid sitting in the cup. "Many of those will come with time, but first thing's first. I'll need a few things from you first, if you don't mind. Including some sort of... swear of allegiance." He knew he wasn't going to get one, but it was an idea of what he would need in the future. "Until then, you can hang around here, do some cleaning, make meals..." A grin slid across his lips as he began to chuckle.

"In the future, I might need you to make a trip or two out during the day for me, gather some information possibly... Anything that could be useful to me. And in exchange, I'll give you a place to live, food to eat, blood to drink... entertainment. Anything that you need to survive. Not to mention protection." Colin set the glass down on the counter before giving her a slight shrug. "And in exchange... I get what I need. Or want. And that's what you need to know..."

Well, he didn't try to bullshit her. That was a step in the right direction at least. Her head shook no quickly. "I hunt for myself. No one pays me. I live - lived - on inheritance." She merely replied, finally going quiet to listen to the rest of Colin's explanation. And honestly, it was far too vague in the beginning. That alone made her all the more uneasy and unsure of Colin. But he continued to talk, explain himself. When the agreement of this place being a permanent residence for her along with the ability to eat, drink, live was mentioned; it was hard for Lillithria to decline.

But this was still the same man who had snuck up on her, knocked her out and taken her here. All against her will at that rate. Why in the hell should she owe him anything?

Because he spared you and didn't turn you over ...

That mental reply infuriated and made her grateful. Her pride cracked - but not shattered - upon realizing he definitely didn't have to go through with either of those options. She certainly didn't have to be breathing and still living, nor even with him. In fact, it had been a miracle that Colin wound up not turning her over to ... whomever had stopped by yesterday. And she'd assume his description on how they would have treated her was accurate if not even worse. He'd likely been generous in describing them.

Her head bowed and teeth gripped her lower lip.

You're actually considering this?

Got another plan in mind?

The mental back and forth argument continued for quite a while as she considered any and every pro and con that would come with this. She wanted so badly to get more exact details. But he'd already said it; before that came, he wanted her loyalty.

Her eyes moved to the knife that she hadn't used but still had been laid out. Taking a hold of it, Lillithria didn't feel it burn her. So common sense suggested it wasn't real silver, thank gods. Gripping it firmly in her left hand, she moved the blade roughly across her right palm. The wound would heal in time; after all, she did have some vampiric abilities. Regeneration was one.

Setting the knife down upon her plate, she held her palm out towards Colin. "If that won't suffice ..." Her left hand raised up and then moved her silver locks aside, revealing her neck. "You can use that instead. But if you want an oath from me, no sense in holding back. And some of the strongest and best ones are blood vows. But after the deal is sealed ... I do want more details on these jobs you speak of."

It seemed like a more than fair request and she was keeping her end of the deal. Now the real question. Would he want just her palm or her neck once again? Or hell, would he want something even the dhampir hadn't thought of?

Colin could sense she was having some sort of mental discussion with herself, which he let play out. No use in interrupting her when there was a good chance whatever would be decided would help him down the road. He kept his lips closed, pursing them once when he noticed just how long it was taking, but he didn't dare interrupt her until she was ready to speak. His eyes narrowed when he watched her pick up the knife, but again, he didn't move. Trust was something that would come in time, if at all, and he didn't want to get off on the bad foot with her just yet. He wanted to give her a chance to do as she pleased and not have him jump at every little thing. Within reason, of course. There would be limits, but it would be ones he would set on both of them, not just the girl in front of him.

As it was, this wasn't a reason to jump. The vampire's eyes narrowed slowly as the woman cut herself, the familiar blood lust feeling creeping over him. He didn't move at first, but when he saw the very edges of the wound begin to heal, he thought differently. Colin slid around the counter, kneeling beside her at the table and taking her hand in his own. His dark eyes ran over the blood before turning to the woman for just a moment. He wasn't exactly sure what sort of ritual she was used to going through when it came to blood bonds, but vampires had their own. And since she was in his home and offering him the bond, he was going to follow his own customs. The neck, while nice, wasn't needed for this. In fact it was better if it wasn't used.

Without waiting a second, the man's eyes had a barbaric look to them as his pupils shrank and his lips pulled back, exposing his fangs to the woman. Those exact teeth sunk into her wrist seconds later and he began to lap at the wound, taking in the blood that was coming to him from her veins. The taste washed over him again and drove him further into the sweet animalistic lust. He could eat her up right there, if he wanted to. He could do it and not even think twice about it. There wouldn't be an issue, according to him, it would just be business.

But that would ruin all of his future fun.

The vampire took what he needed, plus a bit more, before he forced himself to break away. It was tough, but his sense got the best of him this time. As soon as he was free of Lillithria's wrist, he bit into his own and pressed the wounds together, watching the mixture that came from the mess. His tongue ran over his lips as he waited, both licking the remaining blood and hating just how much was being lost to the floor. No one ever said this was a clean process... But after a moment of that, he pulled his own hand away and offered the wound to the dhampir so the ritual could be finished.

The entire process took no more than three minutes, barely enough time for someone to argue what was going on, especially with how much biting was going on. The smell of blood filled the room, sending the man's senses into overdrive. He was courteous enough to clean the woman's arm with his tongue, making sure no more of the blood went to waste before pulling away to look at the woman beside him. "There is your vow," he stated, releasing the woman's arm. "Inheritance is no way to live. Proper jobs are far more filling than simply living off of a dead person's money."

Oh how entertaining... living off of a dead person's money was exactly what he did, only in a different sense of the word. That was besides the point though and one he didn't really care to bring up right then.

Colin rose to his feet again, wiping his mouth with his hand and taking a seat in another chair at the table. "As for the jobs, I have one in mind in particular." He waved his hand towards the kitchen. "Humans have a whole source of food that I can't get to, thanks to that blasted sun. I'd be sending you out to pick up what I need. For now. I'll be coming up with more jobs as they come to my mind. But that's a nice start, isn't it?"

The silence was .. almost nerve-wracking. Then again, he'd just finished waiting for Lillithria. It did seem fair that now it was her turn to wait for him. Though her focus had been more on herself, the dhampir did note Colin's eyes narrow a few times while she figured out how to make a promise to him. It was at least a valid concern; most other people may have seriously tried to rush towards him and stab him. But she hadn't for two reasons. It wouldn't do any good, especially from not being real silver. Two, Lillithria did know her limits and when to or not to attempt such rash actions.

In truth, she didn't have an exact ritual in mind. Only the concept. But that didn't appear to matter, not since Colin knew how to go about this.

Her body couldn't help but tremble as he got up and took her hand. The man was more difficult than others to read and part of the reason - for the huntress at least - was his refusing to speak much. It denied her to ability to hear verbal hints and thus figure out what was going through his head. But as she realized it was her hand and not tilting her head aside, her mind couldn't help but ponder.

Wait .. isn't that the wrong .. ??

"Fuck!" She hissed, her arm shaking as the fangs sank through with no real warning. The concept of being fed off of was still foreign to the half-vampire as was the pain that came with it. As much as part of her wanted to jerk away, she kept it still, save for the slight trembling that could be felt.

Her eyes wanted to glance away .. but there was something about the procedure that made her unable to help but stare. Maybe because she'd only heard of rituals like this but never actually saw one before? She couldn't pinpoint exact motives though those didn't matter after a while. Soon it seemed to be her turn to take her share of blood. Even though it wasn't needed, it was appreciated and the low sighs and moans eliciting from her mouth all but spelled that out.

In fact, a lot of her didn't wish for him to pull his own wound away. But she let him, knowing it had to be done.

By the time the entire exchange had been finished, soft pants were passing the huntress's lips. That had given her one hell of an adrenaline rush and simultaneous euphoric sensation. Even though she wasn't full vampire, part of her wanted more blood. No, more of his blood. There was something .. addicting within it, as if a drug. Hell maybe that was the source. But never before had Lillithria been so tempted, so wanting to jump upon someone and feed from them like there was no tomorrow.

Her head bowed slightly as a pool of emotions began to swim through her. Confusion, desire, greed, something along the lines of a feral sensation and even a bit aroused.

The hell is wrong with you?

Her head shook as Lillithria desperately tried to ignore it all, finally glancing back up to Colin as he spoke up again. "Yes ... yes it is a start." She admitted, moving a few bangs away as she took a sip of the juice. She needed something, anything, to keep her mind of his blood and new craving. The juice wasn't a perfect distraction but it was something. And for now, that was more than enough for her.

Colin kept his eyes n Lillithria as she began to take the blood from his own wrist. It was a familiar motion for him to watch, yet to see a half blood take a light snack from him left a different feeling in the pit of his stomach. He had felt other vampires eat form him at different times, most for a small snack to the more powerful beings that he often times served, but this time it was just slightly different enough to make him question and wonder about how it felt. He had enough time to have a small conversation with himself before the dhampir was finished with her part of the vow. He listened to the sounds coming from her as she lapped at the blood, tipping his head slightly, the corners of his lips twitching in a strange joy. Almost like corrupting the youth... it was a wonderful feeling that he figured would never get old. When it was time, he did pull himself away and place his hand over the wound until it began to close again.

Despite Lillithria's attempts to cover up the feeling, the pulsing of her heart was echoing in Colin's ears, bringing his eyes back to her. He was across the table from her now, but it still sounded as if he was beside her... some times he hated his senses, especially when it came to things such as pulsing blood. There was nothing better than hearing it move through the body of his possible victim. To say the vampire was addicted to it would be a lie. He was loving the chance to listen to hers, fighting off the sensation to sink his fangs into her throat and feast. He knew better than to do so, especially since she had just agreed to do as he asked.

"Wonderful," he commented, almost mocking the woman's agreement. His eyes followed her glass to her lips and back down before the hunter took in a deep breath, attempting to relax into the space across from her. "I'll make a list then. You can get what I need later on today." He didn't want her going outside until she settled down. A half-vampire wasn't as used to wandering the streets with blood lust on the mind as a full blown blood sucker and Colin didn't want to run the risk of having her attack someone during the day light. Vampire may have been a common group, but it still wasn't seen ass a good thing to have one attack a human out of no where. If anything, it would be embarrassing for all parties involved. Until then, the two would remain in the apartment and waste the time however they saw fit.

Colin's dark eyes travelled over Lillithria slowly, the echo still sounding in his ears. "How often do you drink?" he questioned, sitting back in his own chair, the cup of blood still waiting to be drank in front of him.

Even though the wounds had healed fine, Lillithria had stared down for a while. The regeneration process had been fast of course, albeit not as swift as Colin's likely was. But her mind had to register and confirm a few times that all she'd seen, smelled, and heard truly had just happened. She'd really given the bastard a blood oath? Had she temporarily gone insane? Her teeth found her lower lip. Even if that had been the case .. it was beyond mattering now. The huntress had all but sealed everything to Colin; her body, heart, mind, and soul. And it terrified her to realize as her heart raced. There was only one real thing even keeping her from having a full panic attack.

And that was even now, Colin had ample chances of doing ... something. Ambush her, taking her life, a few other dark what-ifs that raced through her mind. But no. He wasn't even making an attempt. He was keeping to his word so it seemed fair to do so to her own. Her pulse finally began to calm down and slow just a bit. But it was definitely not at a relaxed pace. It probably wouldn't be for ... a hell of a while, in fact. Maybe after she knew for damn well sure he'd continue to be like this, that this wasn't an act, sure. But until that time arrived, she'd keep herself very aware of her new partner of sorts.

"Every two to three days usually. Sometimes I get odd cravings to feed more often but that's not likely to happen. I've tried waiting my appetite out and have found I can't usually go past five without ... becoming overly insatiable." Taking another sip, the dhampir felt the juice trail down her throat. It was a sweet sensation but there was still that greedy part of her which wanted a bit more of Colin's blood. Her head shook slightly as she finally figured something that could hopefully help her out with a distraction of sorts.

"Mind if I got seconds?" She inquired, doing any and everything to keep her mind off the new sensation she'd just experienced.

Colin gave a slight wave to the kitchen behind him, signalling silently that the place was up to her to work now. He waited until the dhampir was up and behind the island before turning in his chair to look at her as she worked. "That can't be healthy for you," he commented. "Or comfortable. Even if you're only half bloodsucker, or even less, you shouldn't push yourself to the point when you crave blood. It's not good for your mind." He carefully rose from his chair and moved to a space slightly closer to her, leaning on the island to watch the woman on the other side. "It's easy for you to enter into a state of blood lust if you wait much too long. Not to mention it would dull your senses and your mental state. When you're hungry, or starving in your case, you can't think straight. And in this world, that's important."

The vampire took in a deep breath, smelling the air around him and listening to the woman's pulse for a moment before taking in another and letting his lips part to speak. "Try something. Each day, drink a cup of blood. I have plenty of packs in the fridge that you can drink from. Take in a full cup. Try it for a week and see how you feel afterwards." If his theory was correct, Lillithria might feel regret for drinking the life force of another creature, but at the same time, her entire body should feel better. Not only will she be more in tune with what's around her, but her senses should pick up as her vampiric side steps to the forefront of her mind. Colin knew what it felt like to be starved and suddenly get a good dose of the ruby liquid. There was no feeling other feeling like the rush of power he felt that day... perhaps it could help Lillithria, especially if she's going to be training with him even in the slightest.

"Try it. And if nothing changes, then return to starving yourself like you have been."

Lillithria truly was ... bewildered. This was like an entirely new Colin that was suddenly speaking to her. Should she still be cautious of him or not? The dhampir didn't want to be and wanted to believe this was the real him. But given how they had met, she still had her fair share of uncertainties. As the vampire signaled for her to follow, she felt herself rise to her feet and follow; quicker than usual at that rate. It almost terrified her. Had he taken over her mind or something? No. She could feel the steps. They were just being done on her own will. But why? Aside from the vow she'd just given him the only other incentive Lillithria could think of was knowing it'd be foolish to try to outrun him, especially while he was still conscious and awake.

"Well .. yes, I know. That's why I don't usually go for very long." She replied, forcing herself to avoid scoffing aloud. Really, even the youngest of vampires knew that. It was basic knowledge. "I ... don't try to seem like I'm starving myself. But I don't rely on it as heavily as you."

Actually, Lillithria had no qualms with regretting drinking another life force. Far from it. If that sensation had dominated her long ago ... well ... she wouldn't be still standing. No no. What was bothering her was the concept of forcing herself to drink everyday. It was akin to a human forcing themselves to eat with few actual good motives besides to live. And she had been mostly confident on what she'd told Colin. Compared to him, she didn't need the crimson liquid nearly as much.

But ... maybe he had a good point? In fact, if she had fed before leaving and trying to get the nutritions, maybe she wouldn't be a forced guest with Colin? The thought made her sigh and slowly nod.

"Fine. I'll try." She agreed, deciding the worst case scenario would be something along the lines of feeling ill somehow, mainly from too much rather than the source of the blood.
