Dealing With Death (FemShep and dimitri-klyff)

Adonis was stiff for a good minute when he felt her body pressed against his own. This time, there was no form of lust. Instead, he was filled with the sensation of love and affection and warmth which he knew he didn't deserve after leaving without a word.

"I don't get it," He said as he returned her embrace. "Why aren't you mad at me?"

Emilee chuckled softly as her tears fell. Feeling his embrace she smiled brightly and replied "Trust me. I'm angry, hurt, and I felt alone, but you came back. That's much better then just leaving me forever. I'm furious, but....I'm just so happy you're here." She tried to explain.

Adonis took the chance to hold her close and allow his human strength to twirl her around in the air with his arms. "They found out about our deal," He began as he gently guided her back down to her feet. "This was supposed to be my punishment and indeed it will be if I didn't find you or if you wouldn't want me back." Adonis reached out and took her hand and gently placed it on top of his chest to allow it to feel his beating heart. "I'm part of your world now, Emilee. They've turned me into a human." As he uttered those words, there was a smile on his face but deep inside, fear started to seep through.

Emilee was surprised, but laughed as he twirled her in the air feeling all negative feelings leaving her as he did. Her smile faded into a concerned frown hearing they found out what happened. She smiled softly at him as he spoke about it being a punishment if he lost her for good. She sighed "To be honest I tried to move on, but...I just couldn't." She confessed. When he took her hand her eyes widened feeling his beating heart. She smiled brightly and replied "That's great, now we can be together and we won't have to worry anymore." Her smile faded and asked in a concerned tone "Are you alright? About the change?"

"I must admit," Adonis began as he took her hand and laced his fingers with her own. "It feels very different and unusual. I'm not entirely sure how and in what way. Well, for one thing, I have to walk around to get to places," He said with a chuckle. "Also, I find the need to eat and drink and I can't pass through walls anymore. I don't have special abilities anymore. I've lived as my former self for centuries so it feels very different to be in a human form now." As soon as he was done explaining things, he pulled her closer and kissed her passionately and longingly with the loved he had suppressed all along. "God, Emilee, I missed you so much," he told her as soon as they parted.

Emilee smiled and laced her fingers between his as he did with her listening to him explain his new feeling and life as a human. She chuckled with him and replied in a reassuring tone. "I know it must be hard on you, but I'm sure with time you'll come to enjoy being human. It just won't be as cool or fun compared to being a reaper, but there are some benefits." She smiled and kissed him back passionately. She missed feeling his lips on hers again and this time she felt a love that sghe missed dearly. She kissed him back passionately and deeply with the same love he had for her. "I missed you so much Adonis. I can't be any more happy then I am right now."

Adonis inhaled and smelled her scent which smelled a lot like shampoo and soap. He smiled as he crushed her in a tight embrace, as if fearing that Emilee might suddenly disappear or push him away. "So..." He began. "Is it safe to assume that you're in love with me and I with you?" He pulled her away from him but kept her in arm's length, admiring every inch of her face and every line and curve of her body.

Emilee tried not to giggle as he held her in a crushing embrace that made it hard for her to breathe, but she couldn't help it. She waited until he put her down to finally catch her breathe and chuckled a little. Hearing his question she blushed and looked towards the ground then back up at him "I would say it's safe to assume that." She smiled brightly. She seemed a bit bashful when it came to being romantic right now like a love struck schoolgirl

Adonis only responded with a chuckle but he knew both of them knew that things will be different from now on and speaking of different, "do you mind if I come live with you?" Adonis asked with an awkward scratch behind his neck that seemed to have happened on impulse. Adonis never felt being shy in the past, nor did he ever feel so small and unsure of himself. "I kind of... rushed here without exactly knowing what to do in the human world. Help me out?" He asked her.

Emilee laughed softly covering her mouth as she did and answered "Of course you can. Why wouldn't I? Besides you have to adjust being human and you're probably gonna need a human to help you." She smiled at him and added "I'll assume that you didn't bring anything." Emilee actually liked the sound of Adnois moving in with her, even if it's a bit early, but she couldn't just leave him like this.

Adonis felt like he could melt right then and there out of embarrassment despite how much he tried to convince himself that they've done intimate things for him to be embarrassed because of the situation. "Honestly..." He began, finding it harder and harder to admit things. "I don't really have anything to begin with."

Emilee smiled and cupped her hand around his cheek. Getting closer she replied softly "Now you have something." She smiled and kissed his lips softly. She missed how wonderful his lips tasted, it was something she never wanted yto forget.

Adonis smiled against the kiss and took her hand with his own. "Yeah, I guess I do now, huh?" Adonis kept her hand in his own once they entered the house. It had been the same since he last been here; the memories seemed so fresh and he couldn't help remember all the intimate moments they shared. They had been really rough but Emilee took every inch of it willingly and Adonis made a mental note that he'd make up to it someday - perhaps when they're both ready to hit the bed again. This time, Adonis knew it was all for love.

"How had you been, Emilee? Tell me how your life has been," Adonis asked her.

She smiled and held his hand tightly as she led him inside of her home. She didn't changed the house, because of the memories it held from their most intimate moments together. He was so rough like he was trying to break her or make her regret her decision, but she didn't break. But now, things were different

Emilee led him inside and sat on the same couch that they had their first intimate moment together. "I've been doing well. I got a job and I'm really enjoying it there. I'm helping people who aren't mentally stable and they seem to really like me. Um...you don't having any competition anymore." She chuckled softly

Adonis listened and smiled warmly when she told her she already had a job she loved. It perhaps helped her throughout the years he left her without a word. When he heard about the competition, though, he raised up a brow. "Did I ever have one? I don't remember," he said, chuckling as he tackled Emilee down on the couch and pinning her there, topping her gently. "Your eyes had always been for me, weren't they?" He teased her with a soft laugh as he brushed her hair away from her face.

Emilee laughed as he tackled her and pinned her to the couch. Even as a human she couldn't break his grip, not that she wanted to. She looked up at him and smiled replying "You're right. My eyes were always set on you." She smiled brightly as he brushed her hair from her face. "You know you're really cute when you're jealous. Then again your cute all the time." She said sweetly laying calmly down on her back with him on top of her.

Being a human now, Adonis's face instantly lit up in a pinkish blush when she told her how cute he was when he got jealous. "I-I'm not jealous!" Adonis defended as he buried his face along the crook of her neck to hide his embarrassment. Moments passed and he remained silently breathing in her scent which he missed a lot until a bit of a serious air hung around them.

"Did anyone else claim you when I was gone?" He asked, still keeping his face hidden. Somewhere inside him, he was afraid of the answer.

Emilee giggled as she saw his face blush and hearing him tell her he wasn't jealous as he hid his face in the crook of neck. She closed her eyes to enjoy the moment of silence with him, but his question made her frown. She didn't take long to answer as she whispered in his ear. "No one has claimed me. I didn't want anyone else to do that besides you. I just couldn't move on without you....besides after what you did to me I don't think any other man could satisfy me even if they tried." She smiled softly and kissed his ear soft. One hand was on his head, running her fingers through his hair as she nuzzled near his neck.
