Jayce had to admit that he was really shocked hearing Liz and Mark's story, yet his expression never changed much, his concern for Lee growing as he saw the tears running down his face. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, the question of why his adoptive parents never told him that he was adopted left him and now everything turned over who their real parents were and where would they be right now. He wasn't sure if he wanted to meet them, they weren't the best people by what Liz and Mark told them but he couldn't stop thinking how different his life would had been if Lee and him wouldn't have been separated.
Jeyce felt quite calm even when he found out he was left behind and he spent months alone until his adoptive parents took him, but that was normal for him, he always took things calmly until he wasn't able to hold it inside and his way to make all those feelings to go away was through rage other than sadness or angst, he wouldn't show that to Lee of course, the less his brother needed was someone with such changing temper, but he knew he would need some time alone, even a few hours would be fine, to let it all out and think clearly again.
Lee's reaction surprised Jayce, he never thought his brother would run out like that but he didn't doubt to follow him, he wouldn't leave him alone, Jayce gave Liz and Mark a last cold glance before letting himself being dragged outside by Lee. He wasn't mad, nor sad, he was just taking everything and saving it for his time alone. He kept holding Lee's hand until the bus came, then it was when he seemed to react and realized they were already outside and there was people around. Jayce let go his brother's hand, paid both fairs and went to the back of the bus, saving the seat against the window for Lee. He spent the whole travel to Lee's place in silence.
As his brother asked, he opened the door for them and let Lee in before him then closed the apartment door and sat next to his brother. Jayce hugged Lee, pulling him closer and pressing him softly against his chest, his hands rubbing Lee's back as he rested his chin on his brother's head.
"Lee..." He whispered his brother name. "I... I won't tell you it's alright but..." Jayce was awful at situations like that and he tried to find his most honest words to say something that wouldn't hurt his brother. "Just try to... try to calm down ok?" He let go a long sigh, lamenting his lack of skill to make people feel better or comfort them. "I'll stay with you Lee, if you want me to... I mean... I could move... here" Jayce wasn't really sure about what he said, but he wanted to be with Lee and if there was any way to help him or make him feel good, he was ready to do anything.
