Black Market [ Saria and WingsandFeathers ]

Joshua wrinkled his nose at the awful scent and took a bit into his hand to start scrubbing his hair and ears roughly. Keeping his eyes squeezed shut he didn't notice his master reaching for his tail. Joshua nearly jumped out of the water when Kithiel started scrubbing his tail. He jerk away biting back a whimper. Glaring at his master he growled low in his throat. "I-I can do that myself." He said shakily. He'd forgotten how sensitive his tail was. Being locked in a crate you didn't touch too much and not many people touched you. Especially not if you were a wolf. He tried scooting away farther so that his master couldn't touch his tail again but even if the bath was big, it wasn't big enough.

Kithiel sighed and eyed Joshua in annoyance. "Shut up and scrub," he growled back, his touch turning a little more gentle though he continued scrubbing with vigor. He made another face of distaste as the water darkened and pulled the plug to let it drain, refilling it with fresh. He thoroughly washed Joshua's tail twice before grabbing a cloth and soaping it up with a strong anti-bacterial soap to attack Joshua's back with. He muttered softly about having to do such work, especially on his day off. "Oh look, I think I can see your real skin color."

Joshua growled again but didn't pull away. he turned to rinsing his hair which changed magically from a pitchy black color to a more appealing chocolate brown one. Shaking his head he repeated the process a few times and finally managed to get his hair back to it's original rich brown color. "If you don't want to, don't." He growled again and he rinsed the grime from his body too. Lord did it feel good to get clean finally. Now that the grime was gone the extent of the bruising could really be seen. Joshua's skin was naturally pale and each bruise stood out like a sore thumb, glaring and obvious against is pale body. Joshua raised and eyebrow and looked himself over with interest, almost as if it was someone else's body what was so battered. For a moment he was almost proud. He really had been trying pretty hard to escape and here was the evidence.

Kithiel sat back on his heels when he was done with Joshua's tail and back, running fresh water one more time and rinsing his hands off. "Much better," he murmured, lightly touching the bruises to examine them a moment before standing. He found some ointment in the cupboard and handed it over. "Here. I'll find you something to wear." He smirked faintly and left, closing the door behind him and barring it with vines in case his pet got the bright idea to try and sneak out. He whistled softly and headed upstairs to his 'playroom', digging through one of the chests to find new clothes for his little wolf.

He tossed aside leather pants and shirts, thongs, chains, silks, spandex, and a plethora of other outfits before picking up a leather loincloth that was nearly the same color as Joshua's fur. Two gold clasps held it together on over each hip and a thong-like strap stretched between the front and back cloths. He chuckled to himself and headed back downstairs before his pet got restless enough to do something stupid.

Joshua stood up and shook the water from his hair and body. ignoring the medicine he went to the door instead and of course tried to open it. It wouldn't budge, it was probably locked but that wouldn't stop him. Smiling he went to the hinges and started taking the bolt out of them. Easing the first bolt out he started the next one grinning proudly, complimenting himself on how smart he was. He'd be done before his master was back. finally the bolts were out and he managed to pull the door out of it's socket. Turning he saw what had held the door shut. "These stupid vines!" He growled and started trying to climb over them.

Kithiel stopped in front of the vines barring the door when he noticed Joshua had been hard at work being stupid and trying to escape. He crossed his arms and silently leaned back against the wall to wait, coaxing the vines into shifting and pushing Joshua back into the bathroom while conveniently offering an escape route if Joshua could wiggle and bend enough to take advantage of it. He raised an eyebrow when and if Joshua managed to poke his head out. "Going somewhere?"

Joshua looked up and saw his new master, "Crap." He muttered and immediately started backtracking into the bathroom. He twisted and turned and contorted his body trying to get back to the room before his master decided to trap in in the vines again. He glanced over his shoulder trying to see if the vines were moving or not.

One of the vines shifted and gave a thwack to Joshua's rear end before they disappeared back to the ceiling. Kithiel pushed off the wall and held out the loincloth. "Put this on." Another vine dropped down to pluck up Joshua's filthy clothes just in case, playing pass-along to carry them across the ceilings and into the garbage where they belonged. "Trying to escape so soon? Did you not like your bath?"

Joshua growled and stared at the cloth, "Like hell I'm wearing that. That's for a woman." He snarled backing into the bathroom again, "And sorry to disappoint you but I'm a man." Running out of room to escape into he looked around the bathroom. "And of course I'm gona escape. Theres no way I want to be a pet." He growled. his tail swished irritably behind him and he bared his teeth again.

Kithiel leaned against the door jam. "Yes, you are male. You're also my pet, whether you like it or not. You can either wear this or stay naked." He set the loincloth on the counter. "You have a minute to choose or you're staying naked for your tour of the house." He eyed the missing door with a sigh. He'd almost forgotten how much of a pain it was to house train a new pet, though it had its moments. "And what's so bad about being a pet, hmm? You'll be fed so long as you behave and bathed every day."

Joshua raised an eyebrow and looked pointedly at the leather thong the man had in hand. "Would you want to wear just that for the entire day?" He said, folding his arms. "At least naked I still look like a male and not a whipped pup. Food's nice and everything but it's not like I can't hunt or something if I'm starving. As for bathing I could alway go swimming." Leaning against the wall he kept is green eyes focused on his master. his tail flicked idly and his ears flicked back. "Besides, I'm owned. I'm not a person once I'm a pet. I'm another person's plaything." His lip raised in a snarl. "Hardly a lifestyle that encourages respect."

Kithiel raised his eyebrows and glanced at the leather. "Why not? I've worn less. Although I guess it doesn't really count if it's for a party," he murmured to himself. He tossed the outfit onto the counter and propped an arm above his head where the door should have been, letting his eyes drift over Joshua's body with a soft, appreciative sound in his throat. "Respect, hm? Acting like a rabid dog doesn't exactly inspire respect either, you know."

"No but it keeps people from trying to treat you like a puppy too." He snarled, "ANd I don't act rabid. If I was rabid I would have bit you by now." Joshua looked away then, hardly feeling threatened anymore. His eye strayed over the walls and floors, noting how much the man seemed to love nature.

Kithiel snorted quietly and had no doubt Joshua would have bitten him if he'd put his hands anywhere near those teeth. "If I wanted to treat you like a puppy, I'd have put restraints on your limbs and made you crawl," he said, straightening and pushing away from the door. He stepped toward Joshua and reached out to take the leash he'd left on him during his bath, rubbing his fingers against the expensive leather without tugging. "I don't think you're stupid, so I'm sure you can realize and appreciate how lucky you are to have been bought by me. I'm willing to put up with your... rebellions for a time. Try to escape all you want, I can promise you won't get far."

He smirked faintly and leaned closer without touching his pet, tilting his head to enjoy the scent of clean fur. "Wouldn't you rather have a warm bed? Or do you miss your cage that much?" he asked softly. He bit an eartip before quickly leaning back in case Joshua tried to bite back.

Joshua did try and almost succeeded. But missed by a hair, his teeth snapping close on nothing but air. "You could try and put restraints on me," He snarled, his ears pinned back, eyes fixed furiously on his new master, "I would get out of them anyway I could. As for a warm bed, any female can offer that." A cruel half smile flashed over his face, "One way or another, I'll get away. Bet on that." Joshua reached up and jerked his leash away from his master. "If you wanted a nice little pet to show off go get one of the females. I hear they love to show off for their masters." He snapped.

Kithiel raised an eyebrow as Joshua did try to bite him, letting the leash be jerked away and simply considering Joshua a long moment in silence. Maybe being nice was the wrong way to go, though it was still too early to know what his new pet would respond best to. A vine silently dropped down behind Joshua and thwacked him on the back of his thigh. "That's for trying to bite me," he said, stepping back and turning to leave. "If you want the tour, come along." It'd been more than a minute, if his pet wasn't going to put the loin cloth on, he could wander naked.

Joshua jumped at the spanking and whirled to snarl at the branch. A blush rose through his cheeks as he realize, he was acting like a rabid dog. His ears pinned back and he trotted after his master wearing nothing but what nature gave him. His tail swished behind him, happy. His ears alternated between facing forward and flicking back. His eyes kept a look out for anything that looked like a bedroom. He sized his owner up one more time. He could probably fit into his pants, after all his master may be a little taller then him but neither one was fat and in all reality, the pants wold probably be too big.

Kithiel pointed out the doors leading to a study, his office, and a small library as he walked down a hall. "You can use the library if you want. I might have some books with pictures in there," he said with a smirk, glancing over his shoulder when he heard Joshua behind him. "There's a garden and koi pond out back. You try to catch and eat them and I'll string you up from the ceiling," he warned with a growl. "You know where the kitchen is. I don't mind if you eat when you're hungry. As for where you'll be sleeping, it's up here." He headed up the stairs to the last door down the hall to his own bedroom.

The bed was big enough for three, though he'd be setting up the futon at the foot of his bed later. He didn't bother mentioning that just yet, or the fact it was his room. "You'll sleep in here. As for that door back there on the left, it's off limits."

Joshua looked around, took a sniff and almost growled. It was impossible to figure out which room Kithiel slept in. They all smelled the same. But he closed door immediately caught his attention. His ears pricked forward and his tail froze. What was in there? Secrets? Maybe the rest of his pets? A magic lab? He dragged his mind away from the closed door, forcing himself to look around the room. "What? No place to tie me up? I'm surprised by your faith in me." He laughed sarcastically. He looked around again. this time with a wary eye. Then frowning, finding what bothered him. The bed. What master allowed a pet to sleep in a bed. A BIG bed. He threw a wary glance at his master, his eyes narrowed and his ears flicked back. Maybe this was just a joke. He's probably end up hauling a little dog bed out later and make hims sleep in the kitchen or something. Or maybe that's what was in the closed room. Dog stuff.

Kithiel bit his tongue to keep from laughing as he watched Joshua, able to guess at least the gist of his pet's thoughts as he looked around and looked at him like that. "Mmm, I give everyone at least one chance before I revoke privileges. And don't worry... you're more than welcome to sleep in the bed," he said with a purr to his voice. He wouldn't deny Joshua the chance to sleep in it, though he fully expected him to welcome the futon when he realized they'd be sharing the bed. "Do you want to test it out?"

YES, Joshua thought right away, and unconsciously took a step forward before stopping himself. He glanced back at his master again, half expecting a vine to come down and throw him out of the room. He looked back at the bed again and his ears pricked up. He cocked his head and stared at it longingly. It looked so...fluffy. It looked to him like a big cloud someone had fashioned into a bed. Everything was fluffy. Joshua's tail gave the slightest of wags. He could be good for a few minutes...right? Throwing one last look at his master, daring him to stop him, Joshua barreled onto the bed. He buried his face in the pillow and woofed quietly into them. His tail wagged happily and he forgot for a moment that was completely naked except for a pet collar in a stranger's house and owned. His ears perked forward and he lay there, belly down on the bed, acting like a puppy.

Kithiel grinned and laughed softly, staying where he was a couple minutes before giving in the urge to move closer. He stopped beside the bed and thoroughly admired the view with a soft purr. "You look like you're comfortable. Much better than a cage, right?" he asked, unable to refrain from lightly stroking the wagging tail.

Joshau blinked surprised by the voice, his head whipped up and he looked over his shoulder to find his master standing there. He frowned, a decidedly puppy pouting look, and his ears flicked back. The touch on his tail froze him, his tail stopped wagging and his eye narrowed the tiniest bit. Getting up on all fours he padded a little ways away, dragging his new pillow with him and not willing to admit how comfortable the bed was or that he kinda like his master's petting. Once he was sure he was far enough away that his master couldn't touch him he lay back down, smiling into the pillow. At least the bed was big enough he could get away.

Kithiel hummed softly and watched Joshua in amusement. The sheets were silk and the pillows and comforter stuffed with goose feathers - not something a pet would generally even be allowed near outside of pleasuring their owner. "Is that any way to thank me?" he asked, sitting on the bed and pulling his shoes off before stretching out. He inched his fingers over towards Joshua's tail again, not about to let him get away completely though he didn't crowd him. Yet.

Joshua hardly even noticed the shift as his master sat on the bed. By now his tail was going crazy and he had buried his face in the pillows again. Whining like a puppy he stretched to his full length, loving the silky feeling of the sheets. If he really got to sleep here he was pretty sure he could put up with a loin cloth. At least for awhile. With a huff his eyes started to droop and he curled up into a ball on his side, facing away from his master.
