To say Evie's day had been boring would've been a complete and utter lie! Mina had managed to keep her occupied a good portion of the day. The woman fussed and lavished attention upon her like it was no one's business. In fact, it made her wonder if she was trying to politely say that her own unique sense of fashion lacked in some way. And... perhaps it did. She'd always been a bit different from the other waitresses and tenders at Tech Noir, so why not in the social circles of... dragons?
Oh, Evie had to almost cringe at that thought. Who would've guessed she'd be rummaging through closets of a seemingly endless supply of clothes and all for an event with the dragons! She certainly hadn't expected it. Then again, her entire life had turned upside down ever since she threw that damnable bottle of water. Still, it wasn't like she was treated poorly by her new Master—oh, she didn't know if she'd ever get used to thinking of this dragon in that regard—but, still and all. He was what he was.
Feeling suddenly cold, Evie's mind drifted. Her blue gaze went distant and her thoughts were a dark swirl of murky color. Large hands grabbing while the gruff bellowing sounds resonated in the air. It was enough to chill anyone's blood. As a shiver ran along her spine, she blinked a few time and sucked in a sharp breath. She'd be damned if she dwelt on the memory. Forcing herself back to the present, she held up the one dress and let her slender fingers run along the fine material. It was a lush red and matched the coloration of the mark she now bore on her one arm. She giggled softly as she looked at the mark, shaking her head just slightly. The color actually went well with her other tattoo. Who would have guessed?
Picking up the gown, Evie had to admit that the fabric felt lovely against her skin. It was lush and cool and the rhinestones sparkled brilliantly when the light hit them just right. Smiling, she went to get the perfect set of underthings to wear with such a gown—a lacy red thong and a red garter belt to help hold up the nude-colored nylon stockings she'd certainly be wearing. The gown itself was floor-length, the material like liquid as she slipped it over her body and being a backless dress, it had a bra insert in the front. She sighed softly as she adjusted the straps, feeling like a princess in the elegant gown. Looking down, she noticed the slit up the front of the dress. As she took a step forward, her legs peeked out, giving anyone who would care to look upon her a view of her legs. A heated blush swept over her cheeks just then for who would admire her? She then found a pair of red heels and slipped them on.
"Ready or not," Evie whispered to herself. She glanced at herself in the mirror and tried to smile. Swallowing hard, she then pushed open her door and made her way out so that she could get to the restaurant where she knew Duncan and the others would be waiting for her to arrive.
