Prize from the sea (dando20 and Annabella93)

Dane sighed as Belle left to the bedroom. He couldn't even imagine what she must be feeling. He decided that she needs some time alone to sort out her feelings. Dane sat on the couch, feeling rotten for leaving her all alone. He saw the sky was getting darker, the sun slowly setting. He figured Bob must be getting drunk and he slept off. He wondered how long that will lat before he came barging here. He decided to get ready, finding a blunt object.

The beach was getting less crowded as the night came closer. Soon the beach was empty with out a soul in sight...until a mythical figure splashed out and crawled out of the beach. She was risking a lot to be out in the open, but she needed to find her oldest sister before her kin does. Despite being the youngest in her family, she has trained enough to survive on land and knows somewhat about human society, even some of their language.

She was now drying her tail with the sand not wet by the surf as he looked to the houses at the horizon. "Oh Orabelle...I hope you are safe" Tirasuna whispered.

Belle lay on the bed, she was expecting Dane to come up to her. When he didn't a few scenarios ran through her mind, her least favorite was one that doubted his feelings for her, the most likely one, is him going to Bob, and filing the kidnapping, which would be more logical. She didn't know why she couldn't stop her tears from stinging her eyes. It was probably fear, she guessed, what if Bob spoke up about her, and to amuse him people toss water at her... She shuddered at the mere thought. Her little adventure on land was going down hill.

She slipped out of the room. "Dane?" she called out making her way down stairs.

Dane found an old crowbar at the garage as he heard Belle calling for him. He rushed up to find her climbing down the stairs. "Hey...are you OK?" Dane said, not sure if she would be mad at him....or maybe Belle would feel like going back at sea, risking the punishment she talked about. "Are...are you mad at me?...Do you hate being on land now?" Dane asked her in fear.

Her expression astonished at his panic, or semi panic. "Shhh..." She cupped his face. "Be calm, I'm unharmed," she assured. A small smile playing at the edges of her lips. "I like land less but it doesn't mean I like you less," she rested her head on his chest. "Come lay with me?" She was exhausted, mentally, physically and emotionally.

Dane nodded and carried her to the bedroom, He kissed her softly, smiling that she didn't think less of him. He wondered how much on a pedestal Belle puts Dane on. He doesn't really think he deserve a beauty like Belle...but he had and will, try to do his best to protect her and please her.

Dane laid with her, rubbing her stomach to please her in a calming manner more than a sexual manner.

Her eyes closed when he picked her up seemingly forgetting she could walk... Or he liked carrying her.

She relaxed on the bed when he rubbed her stomach. It sent shudders through her but more so it was very comforting. Her fingers curled around his hand over stomach. "So you won.." She wanted any topic just to hear him speak.

Dane smiled, almost forgotten what else happened today before all the drama. "Yeah I did..just like I said. I sure wished you were there...there was quit a celebration from the guys.." Dane said to Belle, still rubbing her stomach.

"Hehe yeah..." Dane said, removing her clothes sensually. "I like it better when you are all naked...so beautiful..." Dane said as he smiled.

Belle blushed slightly caressing the side of his cheek. "I don't mind it but you and your people seem to think it abnormal?" She nuzzled him

"Yes...but as long you're inside...you can be naked if you want...unless I bring guests here..which I doubt will be often" Dane said caressing her cheeks as well. Dane stood up and took her hands, leading her back to the pool.

She chuckled, "but I like you clothed," she mused. "I get to take it off and that feels nice," she smiled walking along with him. She was still a tad shaken from what happened and she needed to digest the incident better.

The moment they were crossing the lobby to the other side where the pool was, she could hear someone screaming out cursing and banging on the door. Fear sizzled on her skin and she gripped to Dane. "He's here!!" She croaked her knuckles whitening with the firm grip she had on him.

"Stay in the room and lock the door and window. I'll handle this" Dane pleaded to Belle as he rushed down and got the corw bar, waiting for the old bastard to brag in so he could have the pleasure to knock him out.

Belle caught his arm. "No Dane no..." The worry consumed her gaze as she held to him. "He'll hurt you... No.. Call the police or something.. " she pleaded with her eyes her skin crawling with goosebumps.

Dane looked at her pleading eyes and sighed, knowing she was right. There was no point in beating an old man to death. "OK ok.. Come on hurry" Dane and Belle rushed to the bedroom and locked it. He got his cell phone and called 911, hoping there was time.

Belle heard the man from upstairs through her window. He was cursing. His words sounded muffled and slurpy. She watched from the window behind the curtains peeking at him. "He's... Not normal.." She frowned. "His behavior" she explained

"I called the police..they're on their way." Dane said hugging Belle close. "It's going to be Ok, Belle.." Dane said, trying to calm her down.

Belle leaned to him, shaking slightly. "Why is he so insistent?" She buried her face in his chest just enjoying the calm he managed to evoke in her

"I don't know...I think he might be drunk...I won't let him hurt you...OK?" Dane assured the mermaid.

Belle nodded, for some odd reason when he wanted to open the door, she was more afraid for him than herself.

"It's okay," she whispered pushing his hair to the back loving the soft strands as they teased her fingers and palm. "How long till they're here?"

"I don't know" Dane said..until he heard sirens coming in did he calm down a bit. "They're here, Belle..The police is here." Dane said smiling at her. He could later hear the banging and shouting disperse as red and blue lights accompanied the sirens. The police should be dealing with Bob now.

Relief tore through her. And she turned her full attention to him. She kissed his chest where her head had been resting. She glanced up at him, he taught her so much, held her right, and she could sense his care ... She didn't know why that made her heart swell with warmth. She gave his lips a quick kiss. "Is it safe to go to the pool?"

"I probably need to meed with the police and give them a statement. Put on a shirt and stay here a bit. I'll be right back." Dane said to her before giving her a small kiss. He went downstairs to see the police and give the statement. He could look at a squad car, holding a screaming Bob as he tries to get out. He was lucky that he made false papers for Belle otherwise the police would question why she was doing here. Fortunately, they believed she was nothing more than a girlfriend.

Half an hour passed and the police left, giving Dane a sense of sweet relief. He went up to Belle. "Ok..we can go to the pool now. I would like to see your tail again.." Dane said with a smile.

Orabelle could watch them from the window, police men go in and out. They couldn't see her, but when Bob's mad gaze went up to the window, and held hers, she panicked and pulled away from her hiding place behind the curtains. How did he see her!? If he didn't it seemed like it.

She leaned her back to the wall waiting for Dane, she was feeling quite uneasy with all the fuss.

Once Dane was back, she rushed to him. "Well?? How'd it go?" she eyed him, her eyes still a dark grey. She smiled at the poo statement. She needed the dip.

"It all taken care of. We won't have to worry about Bob for a long time." Dane took her hands leading her to the pool. He was glad all this drama is over for now.
