One Hundred Wing Beats
A Poetic Piece
By
Isarain Malice Gale
(C.G.T.)

The tiny thing made not a sound,
With one wing beat it left the ground.
It tried to make it up to the sky,
But its wings seemed not ready to fly.
The butterfly didnâ??t seem to care at all,
It didnâ??t seem bothered by the first fall.
With another wing beat it took to the air,
For a moment it flew without care.
That moment passed and down it plopped,
Still it didnâ??t seem bothered when it dropped.
Then came try three and four and so many more,
Each one a failed attempt to soar.
Ninety-nine tries the butterfly took
Ninety-nine times it fell with a pathetic look.
On that one final desperate try,
That butterfly gave its best to fly.
Wings caught by winds so soft,
This time the butterfly stayed aloft.
One hundred times it took to the air,
Till finally it met the skies so fair.
So fly on sweet butterfly fly forever on,
Your dreams shall carry you to that beautiful dawn.

Dancing in the snow
A poem
By
Isarain Malice Gale
(C.G.T.)

Two lovers spun in a graceful dance midst the falling snow,
Happiness and joy being all that theyâ??d hope to ever know.
They laughed and smiled in sheer delight,
As they danced away that Winter night.
The world keeps spinning and time keeps passing,
Sadly nothing is eternal lasting.
Snow turned to rain as Winter to Spring,
They wondered what the new season would bring.
Time passed and the world spun on,
One found the other gone.
The forlorn lover looked in vain,
And soon his tears became the rain.
Spring turned to Summer and Summer to Fall,
The forlornâ??s happiness seemed hidden behind a wall.
Tears of rain became tears of snow,
Though the world will probably never know.
As two lovers spun a graceful dance they didnâ??t know,
There was sadness in the snow.

I really liked this! It was a unique way to say "try, try again" and all that. Great job.
