*Ring ring ring*
The sound of the school bells echoed in the morning sky, signifying the start of a new day. On this particular day, there would be a new arrival, a transfer student from a nearby high school that had had its share of overcrowding and had to lighten the load a bit. Fortunatley, Oaken Branch High School never seemed to have that kind of problem. It was fortunate for Cyrus Lacroix as he wasn't really fond of having to remember the names of many people other than his teachers and friends. Part of the reason for this was because he was always changing schools for one reason or another. Whether his mother was moving due to her job or the schools he went to were simply overcrowded, he found himself moving around, never getting the time to get acquainted with his new surroundings. This time though, his mother had told him that this would hopefully be their permanent home.
With it being his first day at this new school, the young man found himself standing before a new class of students. None of them he recognized of course but with the thought that he would be around her much longer than he anticipated, he would make sure that would change. He stood before them and bowed silently while the teacher introduced him to everyone. Most of the sudents nodded in approval while the others simply ignored him and talked to their freinds from across the desk. After a moment, the teacher instructed him to take a seat near the middle of the class. Calmly and quietly, Cyrus took his seat and prepared for the day ahead. He looked from side to side, wondering if someone would introduce themselves to him. Maybe even a cute girl...
