Vampires; just the simple term often gets an array of mixed reactions and emotions. It can vary from an individual merely shrugging it off and thinking nothing of the term to a soft chuckle. But eighteen year old Lillithria knew better. They were real and whether anyone believed her or not, she didn't give a damn. Then again, she never tried to convince anyone of that knowledge. Too many of the citizens in London, England, preferred to stick to the saying 'Ignorance is bliss' and not even dare to think of all the dangers around them.
Then again, that was part of the reason she was still alive and didn't end up as any of the corpses that were found tossed into alleyways, clearly brutally beaten and in a mess. Some were unfortunate enough to have rape and sexual assault added onto that too; but not herself. No, she knew better than to fully let her guard down.
If anything, she'd been taught that lesson very well years ago. Though she was born a dhampir, Lillithria had the misfortune of failing a hunt years ago. She got out alive though fed from. And ever since that day, she was hell bent on avoiding repeating that. It had been merciful, she knew. The male vampire definitely didn't have to just use her to feed off of.
In fact, some parts of her questioned why he let her go afterwards; though to this day, she decided to merely accept what wound up happening. Fate and luck had smiled upon her and she wouldn't complain.
At the moment, the huntress was remaining hidden away in one of the more popular hotspots. People claimed that anyone in a certain alleyway had been getting assaulted lately ... all ending up either dead or with more brutal than usual wounds. And with some having been odd marks on the neck, Lillithria knew the source had to be vampires.
She kept her back pressed against a part of the wall, staying to the shadows. They were what best aided her out in hunting the damn vampires along with her weapon, a bow and arrow. She already had a silver-tipped arrow ready, her right arm kept firmly pulled back. Even when someone came in, she wouldn't let go ... not until any of the tell-tale signs caught her own light blue eyes which were mostly concealed by a cloak hiding most of her body and facial features.
Listening to nothing but her heart pounding slightly in her chest, Lillithria soon found herself playing the waiting game. Every hunt always gave her an adrenaline rush of sorts; and it always got better when she wound up winning in the end.
