The Manor (DudeMeister&SHARPii)

Stephanie looked at him and nodded her head. "Thank you." She said softly.
As for the ride, she simply shook her head and put her hands in her pockets. "No, I'm good. I've got some clients tonight. The regulars." She shrugged. "Give Esther a big fat kiss for me." She winked, since she knew the chances of that were high. She just couldn't help herself. With that, she walked off and went to the bar. She was given more vegetable sticks and cranberry spritzer and a new football game was on.

Harper showered, changed into her flannel pajama pants that were pink and had green frogs. They were so fuzzy, warm and comfortable. She wore a pale blue tank top without a bra and her hair was tied up in a messy bun. She had a pint of ice cookies 'n' cream ice cream and was watching her favorite romance movies. This was the recipe for a sad Esther. When she was depressed, she always watched Pride and Prejudice. When she was crying over a break up, she did nothing. She just lay in bed or took long baths. She was just sad today and she felt stupid and pathetic about it but watching Drew Barrymore in Never Been Kissed always made her feel better.

(isn't it Harper?)

Hawthorne sat in his car and drove towards the address that Stephanie gave him. While he was commuting there his head was wracked with worry. What should he say to her? How will he explain himself? What were the chances that she wouldn't want to hear any of it and just slam the door in his face? In a moment of distraction some asshole cut him off, causing him to screech to a halt, yelling profanities at the guy in perfect cadence to the honking of his horn. At the corner of his eye he saw a sign that read 'Florist' and soon found himself pulling over the corner and parking.

He walked to the flower shop, thinking what to buy her. Wait...was he seriously considering buying a bouquet of flowers for a girl he wasn't even dating and was trying to distance himself with? No, that'd be stupid. He turned heel and walked to his car a couple of steps, before stopping. It would be best to come over with at least something. That would make it a better apology, and would make it less likely for her to slam the door in his face. He turned heel again towards the shop. No...that would come across as desperate. He went back to his car and placed the key in the keyhole but stopped. He marched back to the florist and came out with a bouquet of Irises and went to his car and continued to her apartment building

After being let in by another tenant who obviously thought he lived there he made his way to the apartment and nervously knocked on her door.

[Yeah sorry. Another role play my character's name is Esther. >.< I fixed it though]

She had already gotten through half of her pint of ice cream when she heard the knock. She was just about to have another melted bite just when the knock had sounded and she contemplated, as if it was a really big dilemma. Take the bite now or open the door and resume eating after she shooed away the person. Unable to decide, she stuck the spoon in her mouth and set the pint aside before pausing her movie, just as Drew Barrymore was dancing on stage with the feather boa, high as a kite. A small giggle came from her as she pulled the spoon from her mouth while she unlocked the door and swung it right open.

Her eyes widened and she blinked a few times rapidly. It was that guy from the Manor. The one who rejected her and sent her away. The one who was the reason for her breaking out a pint of ice cream and watching this movie. And she was only in her pajamas. Pushing her bangs out of her face, she cleared her throat. Every intention to shoo away this intruder went out the window when she saw this man bearing a bouquet of really pretty flowers. Or perhaps he thought Stephanie was home and came for her?

Clearing her throat, she moved her arm around her back to hide the spoon in her hand, the other hand still clasped around the door knob. "H-Hi." She spoke so awkwardly it wasn't even funny. "U-Um, are you here for Stephanie? I think she's still at work." Work being The Manor that he owned and it was also her way of pushing away the possible idea of what he might be here for. Certainly it couldn't be for her. He made that clear.

(No problem)

Wow...she didn't slam the door in his face at the mere sight of him. That was a surprise. He saw her in the getup that she was in. Nothing but a simple blue tank top (although the view was rather nice) and pajama pants. Judging by the spoon she pulled out of her mouth and the sound of some chick flick playing, she was obviously upset. So it was true. He only heard about it from movies and t.v. shows but apparently girls DID binge on ice-cream when they were upset.

"Hi Harper...I know you must hate me now, but I came by to talk" he said, realizing after he uttered those words how shy and awkward he sounded. Damn! He hadn't been this awkward around chicks since his high school days. He also realized (in an uncharacteristically self conscious manner) that he spoke along to weird hand gestures as if he was Italian or simply didn't know what to do with his hands. Looking at her he cleared his throat

"If you don't want to talk that's fine, I understand. No harm, no foul" he said trying to regain his cool

"My name is Hawthorne by the way...ummm these are for you" he said extending the flowers over to her. Wow, what a time to introduce himself. He was behaving like some sorta shy nerd!

She bit down on her lower lip, mostly to refrain from saying something catty or snarky in response to what he said. Yeah, she wasn’t sure if she actually did want to talk to him but at the same time, she did want to hear what he had to say and why he was here. It was awkward, so awkward. Shit, they weren’t even anything! They had just kissed. Sure, it was such a mind blowing and amazing kiss but even so. She shifted a little from foot to foot before resuming her stance with her hand still wrapped around the door knob, and she leaning her hip into the door just a tad. Just to lean into anything. If she didn’t, she might fall. He was ‘blow me away’ gorgeous.

Well, at least she knew his name now. That was something. Taking the flowers, she did the usual, smelling them before holding them close to her. “Um, thanks.” She was so awkward. Outside of a classroom, she was back to how she was in middle school and high school combined. Awkward, shy and it was a wonder that she actually wasn’t a virgin.

“Come in.” She moved out of the way and gestured for him to come inside, shutting the door once he was inside. From there, she put the flowers down on the coffee table and grabbed her half eaten pint of ice cream and capped it before hurrying to the freezer to put it away. From there, she put the spoon in the sink and then returned to the living area. “Do you want to sit?” She asked, gesturing to the couch.

He nodded and came in sitting down on the couch. Looking at her he admired her perfectly curved body. Even in a tank top and pajama pants, calling her a '10' would be an understatement. When she sat on the couch he sighed and looked her in the eyes. God, you could get lost in them.

"Wow...um where do I begin?" he asked

"Well, I came to apologize. When we were at the party I lead you on and backed off without an explanation. I'm really sorry about that." he said

"Um...well you see...the Manor is not exactly a legal business, if you get my meaning" he began

"And I run it. I take protect the girls, pay them, make sure they are healthy and taken care of. But I'm in with some extremely dangerous people." he said

"I backed off not because you were bad. No...you were perfect. In fact this past week despite all the crap I went through putting up with stereotypical mafia related threats, I couldn't stop thinking about you" he said, carrying on

"So...that's what I have to say...I don't want to inconvenience you further, and I hope that this helps in a certain way" he added, getting up

Sitting down, her hands were in her lap. Her eyes were on him, wide and waiting with much anticipation. Then he started to speak. She shrugged when he first asked, not understanding what he could possibly say to change her mind. He already rejected her. What could he possibly say?

Then he said it all and by the end of it, her eyes were even wider. Harper stayed silent for the longest time until she noticed he had stood up. She came to her feet too instantly and it looked like she was definitely struggling with her feelings, emotions and coming to terms with the kind of business he was in. She should have already been clued in after she learned everything earlier today, well at least who he was and the fact the structure he owned catered to prostitutes and their clients. But she was one of those that liked to look for the best in people. And right now, even after everything he said, all she could think about was the amazing kiss they shared and how her lips craved for his against them, how she craved for his kiss.

Without saying anything, Harper stepped forward and her hands came up but got stuck clasped together to her chest when her lips finally touched his. Yes, she kissed him. She just hoped he’d be responsive and she wasn’t further embarrassing herself more than she had today.

His eyes were side in surprise when he felt her lips against his. He should break the kiss and be on his way...but instead he wrapped his arms around her in a warm embrace and closed his eyes to deepen the kiss. Oh, how warm and soft her lips were. His hands gently caressed up and down her back as his tongue slowly pushed in, losing himself in her.

She was both stunned and so relieved that he kissed her back, even embraced her. Her arms finally managed to move and wrapped around his neck loosely as he pressed deeper into the kiss. Her eyes had closed by now and she lost herself in his lips, hers molding so perfectly--at least she thought--with his. Her body pressed into his naturally and subconsciously and her hand moved into the back of his hair gently, lightly stroking it and feeling. Such soft lips and even softer her to accompany it. This man was so flawed yet she was drawn and by some weird phenomenon, she was even more attracted to him now after he told her his line of work and the dangerous life it came with.

Something about bad boys always attracted this good girl to them.

In high school he never understood why girls always went after bad boys. Being the typical nerdy teenager he couldn't get a date...in fact it wasn't until college that he lost his virginity. He was always a little bitter over the fact that he was (emphasis on 'was') a nice guy, and was always turned down. Nowadays he wasn't so pissed off about it: he made it work in his favor. Groaning gently into the kiss he let his tongue gently dance with her's as his hands ran up her back. One hand undid the messy bun and let her raven locks flow down to her shoulders, whilst the other held the back of her neck gently, pulling her even closer. He wasn't one of those "hard lipped" kissers that overwhelmed. No, he was more subtle, using gentleness to lull the girls closer to him

Only, this wasn't a girl.

As the kiss intensified he began to breath through his nose audibly as he lost himself even further.

She never understood it either. Every guy she had been with, and there had only been one or two, she wasn't even sure about the second one or if that was just a fling, they had always been guys that were bad for her, a detriment to her health. Yet as the years went on, she still hadn't learned because here she was, in the arms of a guy who probably had to be the worst guy for her yet she couldn't stop and neither did she want to.
Harper felt her hair being undone and felt her long raven locks draping down her back and over her right shoulder, curling around her right breast. Her tongue danced rather happily with his and she let out a soft moan into the kiss, simultaneous to his groan. She was so lost in his lips right now, she didn't know anything else neither did she want to. This was a good place to get lost in. In him.

Still though, she pulled back slowly, her eyes opening slowly after her lips parted from his and she swallowed hard. Pulling her arms from around his neck, her hands slid down his arms and took his hands from around her and laced her fingers with his. She then pulled him back with her, towards the couch until she was sitting down and he was right there before her. After, she moved into his lap and slid her hands around his cheeks and kissed him again. Just where she wanted to be. Right here. With him. Like this.

At least until her mind came back to their senses. Which they never might. Not where he was concerned.

He was certainly sure that it all ended when she briefly broke the kiss. That was already more than he expected. But when she pushed him to the couch his eyes were wide in surprise, and even more so when she cradled his face and kissed him. Not that he was complaining. She was a great kisser. As she came into his lap, his hands moved up and down her hips gently.

"Wait Harper..." he said, breaking the kiss

"...are you sure about this? I mean, I don't want to take advantage of you and take this further...so, are you sure about me? I mean I'm quite questionable" he might regret this later

Harper pulled back when he broke the kiss and she panted softly. She swallowed hard and looked at him, about to lean in to kiss him again to make him see that she did want this, she wanted him bad, but then her nagging subconscious kicked in. He doesn't want you. You're just forcing him. Worrying her bottom lip, she looked between him and herself and then her hands came up to the side of her head. "God, I'm so sorry. I was just about to--" She shook her head, unable to finish the sentence before she moved off of him. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean..." Well she did mean it a lot. She liked him. She wanted him. If anything, she just wanted to be cocooned in his arms for a long while.

Sighing, her hands dropped so her arms could cross over her chest and she looked at him. "You don't want to do this, do you?" She asked. No, of course he didn't. He came to apologize and explain and she was going to ruin it all by sleeping with him without even proper time to get to know him? Sighing heavily, embarrassed, even upon the realization he could come to regret it, she stepped back. "The flowers are beautiful." She spoke, looking at the table, her eyes scanning over the beautiful flowers.

He sighed and gently laced her fingers with his.

"No...I liked it a lot. It's just that..." he said looking into her eyes

"...well, would you like to go to dinner or something?" he asked her

"I mean...so we can get to know each other" he said to her

She blushed in her major embarrassment and closed her eyes. Someone just shoot her. She sucked at this so bad. Harper honestly felt like she was in high school and this was her payback for not ever learning how to be...not-awkward.

"Yes, I'd love that." She sighed softly and smiled at him. Even if she was still so embarrassed. "Now? Because I can go change." She might have been full from eating half a pint of ice cream but she'd be hungry again. Hell, she was starving. Just not entirely for food.

"Sure...whenever you'd like" he said, sitting up gently and kissing her lips encouragingly. He gently ran his hands up her hips and kissed her cheek

"Don't worry...you're perfect. You don't need to be so nervous around me" he added

"So...if you'd like to change go ahead. I'll put the flowers in a vase while I'm waiting" he said to her

Harper smiled and she nodded, kissing him back softly. It was comforting to be kissed and for him to not come to his senses and run away from her because she was such the awkward turtle.
"Yes I do. You're so...yum." She blushed, stepping back from him. "Yeah, I'll be right back. Um, vases can be found in the cabinet above the fridge." She nodded to him and pointed to where the kitchen was before she scampered off and went to change.

It took her a good twenty minutes. She unable to decide between her nicer black jeans with heels and a nice top or a dark teal long sleeved v-neck dress. It wasn't form fitting but it kind of was loose, showing she had a nice figure but not accentuating it. In her defense though, it wasn't a dress, even if it did come not even to her knees. It was just a really long shirt that she wore black heels with. She untied her hair and flipped it to bring some laugh back into it and then applied a little bit of eyeliner and chap stick. Pushing the sleeves up a little bit, she then grabbed a clutch purse with a chain to wear on her shoulder and she walked out of her room. "Hawthorne?" She asked, pulling her hair over one shoulder, heading towards the kitchen.

While she got dressed he found a vase and put some water in it. He than carefully undid the bouquet and placed the flowers in it gently. When he heard her he turned around and smiled

"You look nice" he said, smiling as he kissed her lips

"So...where would you like to go?" he asked her

Harper smiled at him and she kissed him back softly, her hands pressed to his shoulders. "Thank you." She said softly.
"I don't know, you're the one that asked me out." She teased a little bit. She was slightly relaxed. Slightly. Only a smidgen really.
But the night perhaps held some promise.

"What are you in the mood for?"

"Well...I know a nice Italian Restaurant about 5 minutes from here" he said, walking out of the apartment with her. Letting his eyes travel up and down her figure he smiling. She was definitely quite a looker. With long smooth legs, curvaceous hips, a well formed ass, and a great rack to boot, she was the entire package

"If you don't mind the cliche I'd like to take you there. I gotta warn you though, you might not want to see me eat spaghetti" he teased, smirking

Harper smiled and she nodded slowly. She loved Italian and the fact he wanted to take her there sounded…really sweet.
“It’s not cliché. I love Italian and it’s been a while since I’ve good Italian food.” She smiled and then took his hand, leading him to the door so they could eat.
“That’s okay. You enjoy your spaghetti. I mean I should be embarrassed to eat out in public, but I’m not.” She thought she was too round some places or had too big of hips. But that was what she saw. She was only a size eight. Size eight was nothing. She was tall enough that it was all perfectly proportionate yet she didn’t have a body like Stephanie.

Opening the door, she moved out the way, letting his hand go so he could walk out. She had her keys in her hands and was waiting for him to step out so she could lock up.

(6'8''? Goddamn that's taller then I am!!!!)

"Why should you be embarrassed?" he asked, as he stepped out her door

"I mean I was admiring your perfect figure a second ago" he teased, stepping towards her and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear to kiss her cheek.

"If anything I'm not in the same league as you" he added

[NO NO NO! I meant size eight. size eight. I have no idea how I typed six. Granted, I did just wake up when I wrote that post so I might have been half asleep xD. I fixed it]

Walking out with him, she shut her door behind her and locked it. Turning, she stopped short and looked at him and smiled. "I guess you're a chubby chaser then." She teased but she just didn't have the biggest confidence with her body, even if there was nothing wrong at all with her size. Size eight was perfect for her and she loved it. Just...other people might not.
"Sorry, I'm just...I guess I'm still self-conscious. I only graduated college not too long ago." She said softly. "I guess I am just..k.still trying to love myself?" She looked up at him and then snorted. "Are you kidding? You're a babe!" Then she blushed and bit her lower lip. "If anything, I'm not in the same league as you. Nowhere near the same."

"Heh...you shoulda seen me in high school" he said walking down the hall with her as he gently held her hand.

"Skinniest nerd you could've seen. I'm what they call an ectomorph. In case you don't know what that is, it's a guy with a long skinny bone structure. Pretty much the worst build you can ask for. You definitely wouldn't even look at me. I was picked on by jocks, coaches, and all the cute girls laughed at me. I couldn't get a date" he said

"And what are you talking about? You're perfect. You have wonderful curves" he added, reaching around to caress her hip gently

She laughed softly and shook her head. "Well then...you definitely grew up well, if I might say so." She said softly. "I would have rather been skinny as hell than a whale." She commented, though she said that as she laced her fingers with his, rounding towards the steps that would take them to the first floor and to the parking lot.

"I'm not perfect Hawthorne." Harper laughed bashfully, blushing as she looked away. "It took years to get rid of it all." She used to be almost twenty sizes heavier. Elementary school was fun. Middle school was hell. High school...she thought she'd never make it.
