A fight of blood...and love! (Malomyotismon and Annabella93)

Nikki nodded, "oooh, that one." she nodded. She certainly had a terrible impression on that guy. She really hoped he was shallow and stupid as he acted, and that she wasn't misjudging him.

She smiled slightly at him. "Don't worry about it," she shrugged the situation off, heavenly? Her face instantly flamed. She sucked with compliments. What took her off guard were his lips on her knuckles. Her face reddened further, as her heart thumped faster, stomach fluttering.

Her hand extended over the table to him, she didn't want to pull back, in fear of him thinking she was withdrawing from him, nor did she want to keep her hand for him like that. However, she let it be. This was quite overwhelming and it was the first day. After sufficient time, she pulled her hand to take a sip of her coffee. "What do you study?" she asked curiously.

When she pulled her hand back, he frowned slightly and shook his hand. He was going too fast and he didn't want her to picture him as a loser. Plus, by what she did, she looked like she didn't have any interest in him. "I'm so pathetic," he thought. "I...study economics. You?" he asked shyly. He was interested in her, really interested.

"Art." She smiled slightly, "with an art history minor" she took another sip of her coffee. She blinked at him. "Isn't Eco boring?" She asked, "I mean you strike me more of something like maybe philosophy, or international studies," she admitted.

She glanced around at the place taking in the surroundings. Then back at his. His eyes were darker now. Oh my... She looked deep in them. "Your eyes..." She blurted out before being able to stop herself.

Ken rolled his eyes. "Maybe you are right...but my father wanted me to follow the family business. I guess eco is really boring but it's the only thing i'm following now."

When she mentioned his red eyes, he frowned. "What? What about them?" he asked somewhat upset. He didn't want people to ask about them because they made fun of them.

Nikki nodded acknowledging that. "My father wanted me doing something like that, but my grandmother stood up for me," she was thankful for that. She really sucked in the business realm. Her mind just couldn't function that way.

She was quite taken aback at his defensiveness. His tone had completely changed from warm an timid to cold and defensive. She withdrew internally to everything. But kept a calm external calm. "They just changed colors is all." She pushed her almost empty cup to the side. She was curious of that was their natural color what she just saw, the red had dispersed. She also wondered if it was that disease she heard of. Where one's eyes are red meant they were terribly sensitive to sunlight for the lack of dark melanin in the inner layers of the iris. Perhaps he had that and her wonder offended him? She sighed. "I'm sorry didn't mean to offend you."

Ken looked at her and decided it was time to talk. "Look, i know you are going to leave me after what i have to say, but anyways, just listen. I am a vampire...yes, a true one. That's why i have such a pale skin, and red eyes, and these are my fangs," he said, opening his mouth so she could see. "I'm not going to feed from you...because i have a crush on you...and if i bite you without letting you die, you'll morph into a vampire. And i won't force you into either."

Nikkie was frozen as he spoke. She couldn't comprehend the immensity of the news he just dropped on her. She did believe vampires existed, but she was uncertain to their lives...

She sat quietly for a bit. "Whoa, Ken, please slow down." she blinked at him, "one step at a time..." she gestured her hand for him to wait. "let me get this straight... your a vampire?"

"How? I mean, your 18... you said..." Confusion was evident in her dark eyes.

Ken hated for people not to get what he said, given his mind was prodigious. "Yes, i'm 18, and i'm a vampire. I don't know what's so hard to process, but given your slow reaction, i'll just stop and wait."

Nikki frowned at him. "Well that's nice." she said, her jaw ticked slightly. Her impression on him slowly changing. "You don't have to be snappy." she shot back. "Fine, if you don't want to explain it." she looked away.

what's so hard to process?

That just flamed her temper.

"Oh, I dont know," her words drenched with sarcasm. "I meet 18 year old vampires every day, I have no idea what's not to process? maybe it's just my mind going on through a slow day." every single word drenched with sarcasm. "How else did you expect me to react Ken?!" she crossed her arms.

"A little less like that?" he asked angrily and stood up. "Look..i hate people to act like that to me, like they have acted their whole life. You don't know how much courage it took for me to tell you that i had a crush on you...." he said saddened and moved to the door, ready to leave.

Nikki frowned up at him. "You know what, your right. I don't know you." She put the coins on the table for the coffee.

She picked her small bag. "Likewise, you don't even know me." She stood up out the door eying him. "I don't trust what you feel." She blocked his way. "Your judgement is lacking," she frowned, her eyes glossed slightly. "It's not right to react that way." She stepped back. "Even if it was unlike you to speak like that normally." She eyed him. "You know I'll just see you around," she headed off ah hell!! She didn't know which way!
