Well, it all started in a simple, mere highschool in a small town. Be it small, no one cared since it brought people from all over the country to offer them cheap houses and ways of living, not even counting on work! Apart from that, it had a really great college, the 'Greenhorn' universitiy. There, Ken Rogan resided. He was an 18-year-old boy with long, black hair, and deep, garnet red eyes. He was fairly tall, standing at 6'1, he had some muscles, but he wasn't all biceps; although he had an awesome and melting six-pack, and he weighed 150lbs. His skin was extremely pale, and his fangs long. To all the people who looked at him, yes, they guessed right. Ken was a vampire, but not the only vampire of Greenhorn. There was another 'turd', as Ken called him. His name was Barrick Hazey. The other copycat had long, brown hair shaped in a mane, light-red eyes, and was about the same height as Ken. However, Barrick was far more muscular, and had some excellent biceps and legs, also possessing a gorgeous six-pack. However, they were pole opposites. Ken was shy, kind, not arrogant and kind-hearted. While was a dirty butthole, and arrogant guy who hated everyone and everything...except girls. And he loved to tease Ken.

It was about 8:00 AM when Ken woke up in his room in the campus. He had slept a lot since he had attended a party, and it was saturday, so he had two days off. News had spread that a new girl would arrive. He cared less than little, unless the girl liked nerdy guys. So, since it was his day off studies, he walked to the entrance steps and sat there to read a book.

Nikoda Kannings drove through the university gates. Her grandmother had offered to drop her, but Nickie had refused, explaining to her grandmother that the long trip back home would exhaust her. So Her nana settled for baking her a pack of brownies, and some cookies to go.

Nikoda was almost everything an average girl her age was. Except she was a red head, one that would give the little mermaid a run for her money. Her hair wasn't ginger, it was well down right, bright Auburn, that had much of a reddish, orange tint. Unlike her mother she did not have the common Grey or Green eyes to match, but rather a pair of almond shaped eyes the color of sweet milk chocolate. Her skin was quite pale, almost creme like, and the lightest freckles scattered over her nose, barely noticeable. She stood about 5'5, Nothing was straight about her, she had full breasts, a narrow waist, and hips that most women would want to get rid of. However, she was not too curvy to the point it was not proportional. Her hair braided over her shoulder, she parked in the student's parking pulling out her suitcase from the trunk. She eyed the gothic-styled buildings, and the baroque fences around the place. It was a beautiful place, given that she was an art student, minoring in history, this was exactly the environment she needed.

She pulled her suitcase half way through the parking lot when she realized she had no idea which building was which, and where the hell were the dorms?

Ken rose his glance as an unknown, yet probably the new student, arrived in a beautiful car. As she stepped out, perfection stood afar. She was the most beautiful girl Ken had seen...by far! As most people who were new to the college, she seemed to be lost. Utterly lost. The people who designed this study center made everything look the same, giving new people the hardies to find where to go. Ken felt like helping someone so he quickly walked to her and smiled shyly. "H-Hello. I, um, guess you might be then new student. D-Do you want me to show you directions?" he asked shyly and blushing that he was talking to such a beauty. People looked at him, confused as how such a loser could talk to her, but yet he had the balls to take on what seemed like an impossible task.

Nikkie blinked a few times at the man talking to her. Was he one of those wanna-be' vampires? God please have mercy on her. People these days would go to impossible extents to convince themselves. It would be an insult to all real vampires. Which she believed existed. That being said, the man in front of her was quite attractive, even with the red eyes. The way he moved them around so easily took her by surprise. They looked almost real.

Never the one to actually judge by appearance, she actually appreciated his effort to help her. A small smile played on her lips, her cheeks flooding with color. She extended her hand. "Nikoda Kannings." she offered her name, "News travels fast here I see," she mused slightly. "I'll greatly appreciate directions to the dorms..."

She had on a pair of black jeans, and yellow converse, and a white button-up hidden under a half-way zipped up bat-man hoodie.

Ken looked at her, at first her face was a skeptical one. But then it seemed like she accepted his looks and smiled. "Ken Rogan," he said and stretched his hand to her. Man, that girl was surely beautiful, but given his shy nature, how would he even talk to her? "Yeah, they do. Let me show you," he offerered and started towards the main entrance. At first, he was about to hold her, but then he remembered he had just met the girl! Once inside the facility, he started to show her the different rooms. "Ehmmm....i don't know which one do you have...mine is 101. "

Ken was wearing a black t-shirt with a jacket, grey jeans and black sneakers.

Nikkie smiled. "Thanks Ken," she pulled her bag along. She pulled out the print out he had to read the room. She stopped to focus on the page. "My room is 107" she folded the paper back. He glanced at the large space. Damn. Getting through classes here must be damned hard and considering the distance she hoped they didn't have any late policies. She pushed a few strands off her face, her hair braided over her shoulder. "I don't want to disturb your day, if you would just point out the way I'm sure I can manage" she offered another small smile. How the hell was she even goin to memorize the locations of her classes. She brushed the strands to tr back again they kept slipping to her face.

Ken nodded at what room she had ands smiled. "This way," he pointed and walked with her down the hall. Once they were in front of the room, he pointed towards it and looked at her quite shyly, a piece of his black mane covering his eyes. "T-This is your room, Nikkie." He did like the girl, she was really gorgeous, but he didn't have the balls to take her out on a date, and less to talk to her confidently. "I-if y-you need anything, just call me. I-i'm on room 101." After saying that, he started to his room, not looking back as his cheeks were red.

Nikkie was grateful that he actually led her to the door. "Thanks," she smiled fumbling with her keys to get the door unlocked. She turned back to look at him. 101... Just a few doors away. Oh well.

"Um.. Ken?" she called out leaning against the door frame, her face flamed, "Never mind. Thanks anyways." She wanted directions to the cafeteria, but she felt she was asking too much, he already did enough. She bit her bottom lip softly slipping into her room, putting her bag on the side, studying the small square room.

Ken was about to turn around when she spoke, but decided not to turn around because of how flustered he was. So when she said that she didn't have to ask him anything else, he moved to his room and sighed ashe was in peace once again. "Wow...that girl is beautiful...a true treasure," he whispered as he grabbed his book and continued reading. He now had a plan, given he couldn't talk to her. He would make a letter and slip it under her bed, that way, he could take her on a date without being nervous about the moment.

Nikoda arranged the room to we liking. The window facing her bed, the room was a square with a three step hallway to the door our of the room. If one would stab facing the door from the inside, to the left would be the bathroom and the right a small counter with a make-believe sink. She could live with that.

Her bed now was against the wall to the left (the bathroom's side) while to the right the closet. She had unpacked and arranged much of her books an clothes. When that was done, an her bathroom cleaned, she went to let in some fresh air. The room smelled like cleaning detergents after he was through.

Now it was time for her own bath. After which, she pulled on a white summer dress, some black flats letting her auburn hair fall in wet loops over her shoulder an back. She picked her small purse which was barely enough for her phone and tiny wallet, she headed out locking her room dropping the key inside her 'purse' she put the handle around her wrist and made her way out the building.

She hoped to see any friendly face but it was hopeless. She thought of Ken briefly but couldn't bring herself to think more into it.

He was jut helping her, and nothing more. She let out a breath, he was handsome. Oh damn t not the time for that. She shook her head making we way around. She had no idea where he was going. Hmm some signs would be helpful around campus.

Ken had stayed most of his lonely day on his room, which was quite large, regarding it was one of the firsts to being built. It had a bedroom, a bathroom, and a living-room-kitchen. It was still fairly small compared to other dorms, which were excessively large. Ken also took a shower, as he really needed one.

Afterwards, the young vampire came out of the dorm's door wearing a black and white stripped shirt, a long black coat, jeans and black sneakers. Yes, Ken loved the dark colour, and it only contrasted his timid and dark behaviour. Plus, he needed a walk to get things about that beautiful chick out of his mind.

Once out of the building, he started wandering around, hoping not to find neither the girl nor his enemy bully vampire, Barrick; who had tormented him for a long time now. The wors thing that could possibly happen would be the two of them dating. That would break Ken completely.

((I could have replied earlier, but something's wrong with the subscribe, its not sending me the instantaneous one.. anyways, sorry)

Nikoda watched the beautiful Gothic buildings. They were all quite dark but beautiful none the less. She sat along one of the long staircases up one of the buildings. She was quite lost at this point. She pulled out her phone to check for texts.

There was a large fountain in the center, with some beautiful statues. They looked so beautiful. So real-like. She wondered who made them, or if there was a story behind the figures. She sat for a bit before heading off to the fountain to take a closer look.

(It's ok, don't worry. ;))

Ken looked around him, nervously, as he hoped not to clash with anyone. The Gothic scheme she was amazed with was the one he was bored with. He was there for way longer than her, since the start of the year, and she had just arrived. So he didn't quite cared.

As he arrived to the main fountain of the campus, he bumped into someone, which was Nikoda. He fell backwards but instantly stood up and offered her a hand. "I'm so sorry....i really am. Please, let me...l-let me help you!" he said, offering a hand for her to stand up.

Barrick was looking from afar at the stupid and younger vampire who was trying to undo the mistake he had made. "What an imbecile," he said and walked to where they were. He pushed Ken to the side and helped Nikoda up with a grin. "Forget that pussy. I'm Barrick, nice to meet you," he said with an arrogant grin.

Ken's thoughts had come true, and he just wished to be dead. "No..." he whispered to himself as he felt his heart break. He stood up after being pushed and moved to walk away from them.

Nikoda gasped she almost stumbled into the fountain, switching her footing however, she landed on the other side on her bum. The first thing she did was burst laughing. Realizing it was Ken, her smile widened. "You bump to people literary, don't you?" she mused watching him stand up. She was about to take his hand when another hand slipped in his place the moment she had her hand extended.

The way this guy caught her and pulled her up with unbelievable strength took her by surprise. The speed alone got her in a dizzy spell, as her blood rushed back and forth from her head, her vision dimmed momentarily then regained. Jeez. She would have thanked him had he not spoken so foully.

Her brows shot up, "Thanks for the pull, but I don't need pointers on what to forget thank you." she picked her small purse. She looked around to find Ken, but she couldn't see him. She gave the guy one more glance, before heading off. No idea to where, but all her senses told her to just move.

Barrick sighed angrily and grinned. "You'll come to me anyways, babe," he told her arrogantly before walking off with his fellow friends.

Ken walked away quickly as he felt a few tears of anger and frustration. Barrick had gotten the girl, and he couldn't do anything about it, even if he wanted to. He was too strong for him, so he just would let him have it. At least they could be friends, right?

Ken sat on the steps of the main building, cleaning his tears off his eyes as he panted. "Oh, Nikkoda...m beautiul queen...what a waste that ass has you."

"You called?" She was half way down, "hey," she st beside him. She frowned slightly, his eyes had a reddish tint to them. "You okay?" And it was his iris not like something went into his eyes.

"I don't take it you like the papa bear from earlier eh?" She mused, adjusting her dress so she could sit more comfortably. She wasn't certain he would want her to sit around. But she couldn't help it at this moment. She'll just withdraw in a bit, as not to bug him.

Ken looked at Nikkoda, who sat next to him. He wasn't aware that she was curious about why they were red. "Yes, i hate him. B-but it's...it's ok if you like him...you can date him," he said hurt and looked at her once again. "Can we at least be friends?" he asked gently and held his hand as a sign of friendship.

Nikoda didn't think he would actually memorize her name many had trouble with it.
She tucked a few strands of her hair to the back watching him curiously.

"Date?!" She was quite aghast. Partially because she felt like he was giving her permission to something that was none of his concern. His attitude confused her. She eyed his hand taking it a little reluctantly.
" this is awkward " she admitted sheepishly. "To avoid the moment how about you tell me where the cafeteria is?" She mused.

Ken looked at her and sighed. "Yes, because he is my enemy, and when i try to talk to a beautiful girl like you, he always does it first. Or he steals her from me. So i'm used to failure and stuff," he said, sighing sadly as she denied his handshake. "I guess i completely ruined my chance with you. It's just that he ruins my life..."

Nikkie blinked a few times giving his hand a squeeze. "Hey lighten up," she smiled.
Her face flamed. Her beautiful? Hardly. At least she didn't think so.

She eyed him curiously. "Steal from you, the only thing that guy could do is gain a punch or two" she mumbled. Bullies had a very nice spot on her black list.

She blinked a few times. "Relax," she stood up offering him her hand. "Here, lets go grab a drink while you tell me how mr. Buffalo sucks" she was referring to barrick.

Ken smiled when she told him she held zero respect or feelings towards the stupid bully. "That's great to hear," he said.

When he offered her a hand anf something to drink, a smile spread on his face and he just took his hand into hers. He held her hand tight to the poin of even sweating. "May this...drink...be our date?" he asked shyly and nervous.

Nikkie blinked a few times. She didn't know him much. But a date doesn't sound too bad. It's getting to know him. She told herself.

She pushed her hair to the back. "I suppose so, I guess, I mean to get to know you..." She flushed with color. Oh hell.

"Ow!" She winced as he squeezed her hand. "You have quite a strong grip" she admitted letting him lead the way to the cafeteria.

Ken nodded. Yes, it was to know each other better, but he would and get her to like him a bit. But for tonight, the main idea was to get to know that beauty. He apologized as he held her hand too tightly, so he easened the grip and lead the way to the cafeteria. He always gave her directions throughout the whole tour. Once there, he bought them both a coffee and sat by a nearby table. "Ok, so let's talk about us. I'm Ken Rogan, 18-years-old, i love to spend my leisure time relaxing. And my favourite colour's ought to be black. I don't like sports too much, because they remind me of Barrick. You?"

Nikki listened closely trying to remember everything.
She smiled sheepishly. "Thanks.." She gestured at the coffee.

His enthusiasm entertained her. She chuckled. "Nikoda, I'm turning 19 in summer, I hate spiders and snakes, I love red, and I read for fun, sports are okay, and barrick?" She didn't know the mucho from earlier's name.

She took a sip of coffee. Then eyed him curiously. He seemed to be the shy type, yet she could sense something more to him. Someone funny, and warm.

Ken gave her a shy smile as she told him about her life. As she mentioned Barrick quite confused, he sighed. "B-Barrick...he is the big and disrespectful guy who pushed me aside when i wanted to help your heavenly self off the mess i had commited," he said gently. Ken was a true gentleman when it came to ladies, and he was very respectful towards them and their privacy. He took her hand into his and kissed the top of it gently. He had a true crush on her.
