"I...I am sworn to your service my queen. will remain with you as long as you wish it." The handmaid said quietly, seeing that her queen did not seem to want much in the way of aid in her dressing, so stayed out of the way, and quiet. She had not known the queen, when she was the princess, to be so...modest with her maids. The young woman's mind began to wonder what had happened to the queen the night before. Was that the reason that general Hetmas was now the pharoh? She pushed the thoughts from her mind as the queen left her rooms. The Handmaid kept pace behind her, always three steps back, the respectful distance.
The throne room was immaculate, any blood that had been shed the night before had been scrubbed clean. A newly appointed High Priest, new generals, and new ministers stood in ordered places. Only five of the ministers had served the former Pharoh, these had sworn their loyalty to Hetmas, betraying their comrades into the swords of the usurpers. Hetmas sat resplendant in his gold on the throne, the smaller on to the far right of him, Ishizu's previous seat in court functions was gone, only a more glorious seat right beside him that was fit for a queen. In time it would be modified to suit her better, but for now it would do. Hetmas smiled coldly as Ishizu entered. She had indeed dressed for the occasion, and ministers all owed to her as she passed them. hetmas rose from his throne smoothly, adn offered her a hand to her throne, as befit a pharoh to his queen.
