Annette listened to the sharp breath took in. She figured it would be followed by some more harsh words to come demanding her back to the servants quarters. It's what Annette was expecting. She waited as silence filled the room. Well not really. There was the shouting in the distance on the river bank and the sun was setting. There were still bird chirping over head. The wind was blowing ever so lightly bringing in the soft scent of whatever kind of produce was being put away from the market on the other side of the market. Annette was tired of all the arguing, the running, the fighting, the many questions, she just felt like sitting down and curling up in her own bed with her teddy bear and talking to Star about something completely stupid and relaxing. She knew that wouldn't happen for a while, she knew she had done something to upset someone she didn't know. She knew she had to figure out how to fit in better to this culture as to not upset people further than she already had. It was making her head hurt.
She wondered what was taking him so long to make his decision. Annette's golden eyes just stared at the wine in her glass as she moved it around to amuse herself and she looked at her reflection. She could barely recognize herself with the makeup and the way her hair was done. Annette was used to being dressed up, but being put up like this was something new. Then the prince's words cut through her. Annette's head snapped up to looked at him as her brows furrowed in a bit of confusion. He wanted her to stay with him? Hadn't he been upset when she had insulted him? He wanted her to sleep in the same bed with him too? Annette shifted her weight at the thought. She had never really shared a bed with a man before and she didn't really like that idea, but she bit her tongue at saying anything at that. She gripped the cup a bit tightly before nodding her head slowly. "...Alright.." Annette spoke slowly. She wasn't really sure how she would do about sharing a bed with him. Then again maybe they would just sleep on opposites sides of the bed like her and Star had when they had sleep overs. At least that's what Annette had thought he had meant when he had said sharing a bed. "...if that's what you want."
