Eric absolutely loved his everything about his job. Abstergo Industries treated him extremely well especially considering that he was twenty-four years old and had very little experience working in the corporate world. Through a stroke of luck, his university had assigned him an internship at one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. He did not know if he was really good or if it was his charming good looks but upon graduation he received a invitation to become a full time employee. His parents were proud, his friends were jealous, and he did not have any girlfriend that required his time or money. Seeing as he was a responsible young man, he had set up his 401k and invested in some solid stocks that would turn out for the best in the long run.

Of course, he had to splurge a little bit too. Against the better judgement of everyone in his life, he purchased a brand new all black 2012 Chevrolet Camero. In the year that he had his 427 horsepower vehicle, he only received one speeding ticket so in his mind, he was doing well. Arriving at the twenty story all glass work building, Eric turned the key and killed the engine before lifting up Starbucks cup and finishing his drink. He looked in the rear-view mirror to see anything was on his face before grabbing his briefcase and heading inside.

Eric made his way to his small office with its small window. Most people would be unhappy with this office but he was humble and say it as a modest beginning to what would be a long and prosperous career. Eric sat down, turned on his Mac and clicked his mail application wondering what time of random bullshit the boss would have for him to do today. Sure enough, there was an email telling Eric that he was expected to show up at the office of his supervisor at 10 am in reference to a large conference on Wednesday. Eric sighed a bit and brushed off the left sleeve of his navy blue suit then looked down at his watch noticing that he only had about fifteen minutes to get upstairs. He stood and grabbed his iPad incase he needed to take notes as he secretly hoped that his favorite co-worker would be there as well.

"Shit!" Elena exclaimed as she just missed the elevator to her floor. There were two elevators in the lobby, but one of them was out of order. She was never late for work; she had a tough go of it this morning and just barely made it to the office, but now she had to wait for the damn elevator. At 26 years old, she was a pharmaceutical representative for Abstergo and had gotten the job on her merit and skill. She had been with them for about nine months and she loved every aspect of her job. Along with the job itself, she also enjoyed the people she worked with.

There were a few people that she was close with at work, one in particular was new to the company and Elena felt that it was in her best interest to show him the ropes. She didn't have any hold over him as far as title went, they were co-workers, but they had hit it off pretty much from the first day and kind of stuck with one another. Being the attractive guy he was, Elena had something of a little crush on Eric, though she didn't press the issue of becoming anything more because it just wasn't her M.O. When Elena first started, she was hit on by a few of her "mentors" but she vowed not to be that type of person.

As she stepped into the elevator, she used the reflection that the doors provided to make sure that she looked presentable. She had a meeting with her supervisor at 10 am and she was really cutting it close. She smoothed out her long red hair, making sure that it still held it's curl, then she adjusted her charcoal gray skirt suit. Since working at Abstergo, Elena was always sharply dressed, she even wore heels on her days off. Her blue eyes beamed at her reflection; she was happy with how she looked.

Upon coming out of the elevator, she didn't bother heading to her office, instead she went straight to her supervisor's, tapping lightly on the door, she slowly opened it. "Hey Jerry, sorry I'm late." She spotted Eric in his office, forgetting for a moment that Jerry was his supervisor too, "Oh hey Eric! I'm sorry, am I interrupting, I thought my appointment was at ten?" Jerry stood up from his chair, "No, it is, but this involves Eric too, please come in." He gestured to the seat next to the one that Eric was sitting in. Elena happily took her seat, smiling at Eric as she did so.

Eric had not been talking to Jerry for long when Elena arrived and he wasn't surprised that she had come. The thing that did catch him off guard was the way that Jerry shut the door after she got into the office. Eric's heart rate rose a little although he was not too sure what caused it. On one hand, he found Elena's to be very appealing both physically and in regards to her company. On the other hand, Jerry, known around the office as being really open and straight to the point about issues, only closed the door when talking about particularly important things. It was not a secret that Eric and Elena were buddies around the office but for the most part that had been it. Some people like to poke fun at them, in private, about how they always got lunch or about their habit of stopping by each others office for apparently no reason. Eric assumed that they had not done anything that broke the companies strict no-fratnization policy so it stumped him as to why Jerry felt it necessary to close the door for their meeting.

"Good Morning," Jerry started jovially as Eric responded and swiped the bottom of his iPad and prepared to take notes on what his boss was saying. "Now, I'm sure you're wondering why I brought you here. I believe in you two and I think you would do extremely well as a team. With that being said, you know the FDA holds a conference every year where drug companies can go and pitch their drugs to prospective distributors every year. Until yesterday, we did not think we were going to have to money or the personnel to send on to the conference. Fortunately, we reallocated some funds and decided that you two would be the perfect team to go and represent Abstergo." A rush of excitement swept over Eric, this was unheard of, especially for a young employee like himself. Jerry, oblivious to Eric's excitement, pulled out a packet full of the drugs that Abstergo had developed this year. "As of right now," Jerry continued, "You two need to look over these developments from last year and decide which ones are the strongest to market. However, your plane leaves from at 6:30 so you need to go home and gather your things. All accommodations have already been made and a taxi will be waiting for you when you land." Jerry looked over to Elena, "Take care of the boy will you? I'll send you an Itinerary in an email in like five minutes" With that he moved over and opened the door signaling that they could leave if they had no questions.

Eric was thrown off by the suddenness of the entire meeting. There were going to the largest FDA conference of the year. The presentations given at this conference could be huge, not only for Abstergo, but for the careers of both Eric and Elena. On top of all that, he got to spend a week working closely with Elena! In his mind, this couldn't get any better. Eric thanked Jerry and quickly made his way back to his office to gather his thoughts.

Elena too wondered what Jerry had closed the door. She couldn't think of any wrong doing that her and Eric had committed and she was ready to take her defense if Jerry would accused her of such things. Elena was the kind of woman that fought for what she believed in and didn't take things lying down. However, when Jerry told them about the FDA conference, Elena's demeanor, visibly lighten. She apparently was going to this conference with Eric as Abstergo's representatives. Jerry had all the faith in them and thought that they'd do well as a team. Elena couldn't argue with that, her and Eric got along great and both seemed to know the ins and outs of the pharmaceutical industry. After going over the flight number and the hotel where they were staying, Elena thanked Jerry for this opportunity and told him that they wouldn't let him down. "Don't worry, I'll look after Eric," she flashed Eric a sly grin as she responded.

With the packet in hand, she said her goodbyes and took off to her office. She was excited for the conference. It was the biggest and most important conference of the year and every pharmaceutical company would be there. She wouldn't let Jerry down and the fact that she got to spend a week with Eric was just icing on the cake. A few co-workers approached her about why she was called into his office, but Elena kept tight lipped, she didn't need rumors flying around about her and Eric, it was just unprofessional.

Elena spent much of her day going of the list of drugs, confirming with the guys in the lab that they'd have plenty of samples to take for prospecting clients. Elena would pick her share of what she'd discuss at the conference and Eric would pick his. They convened at lunch, going over each others lists. "Can you believe this?" Elena asked Eric enthusiastically, "I mean, I've only been here nine month and you much shorter than that, but they're sending us to the conference, we're awesome!" Elena couldn't help but be a little cocky by it all, it made her feel like hot shit that she was chosen for this. She sat with him, eating her chicken salad and just really enjoying life at the moment.

Eric went to his office and shut the door immediately so that he would not have to deal with prying questions about Jerry's meeting. Obviously, if he wanted to tell the whole floor than he would have done so. Eric saw it primarily as a favor. Being as young as they were in the company, it would be easy, and understandable, for people who had been there much longer than them to be jealous. Still, it was hard for him to contain his excitement at this amazing opportunity.

Upon doing a little research he quickly found out that the conference was to be held in Miami Florida this year and Eric looked around a bit half expecting to be on some type of prank television show. His company was sending him to Miami with the prettiest girl in the firm. Sure, they had other friends in the industry but for the most part they would be spending their time together. Eric did not do any serious work for the rest of the morning, instead he looked up weather reports, restaurants, and other things he deemed necessary for a trip to Florida. His phone vibrated, alerting him that lunch time had approached and he headed down to meet with Elena.

He was happy to see that Elena was equally as excited as he was although he didn't know if it was for the same reasons. Eric leaned in over his pizza talking very lowly, "This is unbelievable! Did you know that it's in Miami this year?!" Eric had not looked over the reservations and stuff so he had no idea of where they were staying. "Didn't Jerry say our flight was like at 6:30? How long did you plan on staying here? Obviously, it's going to take you forever to pack." He joked with her a little before taking a bite of his pizza. "We definitely need to brainstorm some pitches. I've been too excited to work so I don't even know what to take or which angle to come from." Eric breathed a bit, normally he did not get flustered but this had come as a huge surprise. Luckily, he trust Elena more than anybody else and knew that they would get through it. "I'm going to head down to the labs after lunch and gather some things from the guys down there to see what we have to work with."Eric continued eating while he talked, basically starting a brainstorming session.

Elena nodded at him, she did know that it was in Miami this year. Though Miami was a nice place, it wasn't the kind of place that someone as fair skinned as she was, liked to be, but she figured that they'd some most of their time at the conference so there wasn't a need to worry about the sun so much. "Oh ha ha!" She enthused at his jab at her taking forever to pack, "I'm only going to stay until 3, then I'm gone. I've got packing to do, but I doubt it'll take long." She agreed that a brainstorming session was pretty much a given. As she ate her salad, she noticed a few eyes on them. No doubt rumors had circulated about the pair and perhaps the truth was out that her and Eric landed the conference. There would definitely be jealousy and tension issues because they were both so new to the firm.

"Once you've got the list of drugs down pat, your pitches will be second nature. It's really more how you sell rather than the actual information. Trust me, I double majored in marketing." she patted his arm then removed it quickly, knowing that there were eyes on her. "If you need help though, feel free to ask, okay?" She closed the lid on her salad container and sat back in her chair. "Oh here, take this down to the lab, it's a list of all the drugs that I'll be covering at the conference. Tell them I need them packed and FAA regulated." She pulled a piece of paper from her pocket and handed it to Eric.

"Well guess I'll be getting back to work, and if I don't see you before I leave, I'll meet you at the airport, terminal 13, I'll have our tickets by then." She smiled at him as she got up from her seat. She didn't care about the prying eyes on her. Her co-workers could go ahead and be jealous, Elena was confident that her and Eric were the right team for the job and she wasn't going to let anyone diminish that feeling.

Eric took the paper looking over it for a moment finding one or two surprises on her list of drugs that she had chosen. He was interested and excited to see her angle for them. More quickly than he would have really liked, lunch was over and she was making her leave. "Terminal 13," he repeated, "See you soon." Eric smiled and gathered his things, threw away his trash, and headed toward the labs to get all of the supplies that they would need. He paused in the hallway and jotted down some amendments to her list, adding some drugs he found to be interesting and others that he did not know how he felt about just so that he would have them in case. While he was writing one of his co-workers, Keith, came walking down the hallway.

Keith had been an employee for Abstergo for almost thirty years. He had actually be a young gun like Eric and been a regular at these large FDA conferences for the last ten years. Keith came forward and greeted Eric then gave him three or four other drugs to think about taking with them. Next he lowered his voice offering one more suggestion. His last suggestion was a new drug that Abstergo had developed that was made sort of like a viagra for couples. When Eric looked slightly confused Keith chuckled a bit, "Shit, If I was going to be spending a week with a girl as pretty as Elena I would take some back up." Eric opened his mouth to negate Keith's comment but Keith raised his hand, "You aint got to lie to me boy. I've been to those things for years and you're going to Miami this year? It aint all work and no play." Keith nodded and began to walk off, heading toward the bathroom.

Eric was confused by the advice of Keith but jotted the drug down and headed for the lab. Eric was young and in his prime he did not need drugs to help him perform sexually. Then he realized he was getting ahead of himself, he was not going to Miami to live it up, he was going there to successfully pitch some new drugs to distributors and make the company, and hopefully himself, a lot of money. Secretly, he knew that he would jump at an opportunity to spark something with Elena but that was not his primary goal.

He gave his list to the lab workers then sat down looking idly through his phone while they properly packaged all of the drugs. One worker came and handed him the drugs and the paperwork certifying both him and Elena to carry the drugs. Eric only spent about twenty more minutes at Abstergo before gathering his stuff and heading home to pack.

Once she was back in her office, Elena got right to work with her sells pitches. She didn't so much need to write down her dialogue as she just typed up a few crucial notes. She knew all the drugs well enough to just go off the off of her head. Elena had something of a photographic memory and that talent of hers got her far. She had graduated top of her class in college and was asked to interview for this job by one of the the CEO's. Elena didn't initially figure that pharmaceutical sells was her things, but it turned out to be a pretty cut throat challenge and that's what Elena enjoyed the most. She may not have always agreed with certain drugs that Abstergo put out on the market, but she wasn't obliged to promote them on a personal level; it was all business.

At 3, she cleaned up her desk, grabbed any essentials that she'd need in Miami and headed home. Before leaving though, Jerry wished her good luck and once again told her to keep an eyes out for Eric. She smirked at him, she was starting to feel like she was Eric's babysitter or something. "He's an adult Jerry, he'll be okay," she assured him, then slipped into the elevator. Collecting the plane tickets down in the lobby, Elena made it to her car, a dark blue Audi R8, a graduation present to herself, and headed home. As she drove, she went over a list of things that needed to be packed. She'd obviously bring some business suits, but leave the matching jackets behind because it was hot in Miami. She thought about bringing a swimsuit, but she probably wouldn't have time to play around. She'd pack some casual clothes as well, just in case.

When she did get home, packing was simple because she already thought of everything she needed to bring, it was just a mattered of putting it in her suitcase. She made sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a beach hat in case she was caught out in the sun. She definitely didn't want to come back with a nasty sunburn. She was packed and ready to go after an hour or so and since she had time to kill, she took a small nap. The jet lag would have her restless and she wanted to make sure that she at least go some sleep. After her nap, she changed into a pair of skinny jeans and a button down shirt, leaving the top two buttons undone. She had called a taxi to come pick her up and set out to the airport.

Elena got there at quarter til and went straight to terminal 13. She waltzed through the airport, looking casual, she even had a happy smile on her face. Even though it was work, this trip still felt somewhat like a vacation and Elena couldn't help but be excited. When she saw Eric at the terminal, she beamed and waved at him. "Here's your ticket, are you ready?" She stood in front of him, this was the first time that he'd see her dressed casually and she wondered what he thought.

Eric pushed his car through its paces on the way home out of a mixture of excitement for the trip and excitement that there was no traffic during this time of the day. It took him about 10 minutes to get to his small studio apartment. Hopefully, if everything worked well for him on this trip would get the recognition and promotion that he felt he deserved. Eric sloppily threw things out of his closet finding his big bag out of the back 'Might as well check a bag since it's all going to be reimbursed anyway,' he thought to himself. Next to his bed was a black remote hooked up to his iPod dock, he grabbed it and turned the device on blasting music.

About an hour later, he had collected all of the clothes he needed for a week in Miami, probably too much. He changed into a simple khaki pants and white Ralph Lauren shirt for the flight and matching Sperry's. His luggage consisted of three suits one black, one gray, and one navy blue with an assortment of shirts, ties and shoes to match. He also included a bunch of causal clothes for unofficial pitches over drinks or dinner with different companies. Eric and Elena made an interesting team because he was far more subtle than her when it came to corporate maneuvers. The combination of the two could be a dangerous combo. In his spare time, he decided to play his Xbox a little since he would be away from it for a week.

Growing impatient, he left early decided to travel around the airport terminal for a while. Terminals always amazed him because they were so busy and contained so many different shops, store, and restaurants almost like its own small town. Eric had been inside the terminal for about an hour before he noticed this women waving at him. Although he was confused, he smiled warmly and waved back wondering who this woman was. Finally it hit him, 'Shit,' he thought, 'She looks amazing.' She would be able to see when he actually figured out who she was by a change in his posture. "Thanks." he continued to smile while he took his ticket, " You look.." he paused for a moment looking her up and down, "amazing," he finished as his gaze met hers again. "Not that I every doubted you." Eric followed up with a laugh. "We don't want to miss our plane. Need help with your bags?" He offered as he turned toward Terminal 13 immediately excited again.

As she stood there waiting for him to take the ticket, she realized that he hadn't figured out it was her until she had gotten closer. She smiled warmly at him, feeling silly that he'd only ever seen her in suits and that she looked completely different in casual clothes. She held out her arms and gave him a twirl as he studied her. She came to a stop, laughing slightly, "why thank you, I do casual pretty well if I say so myself!" She had one large bag that needed to be check and one small carry on, "thanks, but I think I can manage, it has wheels." She then grabbed the handle and wheeled to the check in counter where she checked in her bag and made sure that her packages had arrived and had the correct destination on them.

She waited for Eric to check his bag, then the two walked together to board the flight. Though she was excited for the trip, being with Eric outside the office was different. Elena couldn't place if it was just seeing him in a casual look or what, but he was looking really good. When he wasn't paying attention, she'd look him over. The flight attendant looked over their seat numbers and directed them where to sit. The company flew them coach, but since it was the middle of the week, things should be mellow, that meant no full capacity or crying babies. "If you don't mind, I'd like the window seat!" She enthused as she put her bag in the overhead compartment, then took the window seat.

Elena loved to fly, in fact she was seriously contemplating getting her pilot's license. Her father was a pilot and had always taken her out flying, that's where her love of flying came from. "Are you a good flyer?" She asked as she turned her body toward him. Though they talked a lot at work, it was always about work related or school related stuff. Things never did end up on a personal level. Elena thought to get to know Eric better and this was the perfect opportunity to do so, since they were going to be in the air for three hours.

Eric had laughed with her when she swirled and things, noticing her beautiful smile. He thought that he had to be the absolute luckiest guy in the world. He was going to a beautiful location with an intelligent, charismatic, beautiful young woman. Eric checked his bag and things in with no worries and they were soon making their way down the aisle of the plane. "You would think a multi-billion dollar company could afford to put us in first class." Eric rolled his eyes a bit but said nothing else about the arrangements made for their flight. Being the gentleman that he was Eric stepped to the side and motioned for her to help herself to the inside seat even bowing a touch before he started laughing out loud and pushed her gently into the inside seat.

Eric plopped down beside her and shuffled a touch. "Eh," he started in response to her question about flying. While he was no stranger to flying, he did not share the love for it that Elena did. He shifted his green eyes to gaze into hers for a moment before looking out of the window past her. "Honestly, I'm probably not the best flyer you know but I'll make it alright." Eric gave her a reassuring smile while getting comfortable in his seat. His body twisted toward her slightly which caused their knees to bump lightly.

Eric laughed it off a bit but noticed one thing in particular. He had assumed that since she sat by the window seat, she would be focused on looking out the window. Instead, she had focused her body toward him. While he was in no mindset to complain, he did find it interesting that she positioned herself in this manner. He strained to think back to his psychology classes about body language but nothing concrete came to his mind. The pilots voice came through the cabin speakers and Eric listened patiently to the instructions given to the passengers about emergency protocol and some of the amenities offered to passengers. Eric was happy to hear that they had some sort of alcohol available and ordered a whiskey & coke from a passing flight attendant who quickly reminded him that he would have to wait until they got to their cruising altitude.

"Well if you need to hold my hand on the takeoff and landing, I'd be happy to help you out," she replied. Elena didn't find it unusual that Eric didn't care much for flying, most people didn't. She was just the odd ball who absolutely loved it. Though she was sitting at the window, there really wasn't much to look at since they hadn't taken off yet, so she focused her attention on Eric. "Commercial planes are nice, but it's the two seaters that are the best!" She enthused as she slipped off her sandals and placed them in the pocket of the seat in front of her.

With the pilot's announcement, Elena straightened out in the chair and fastened her seat belt. She smirked at Eric as he requested an alcoholic drink from the flight attendant, though he'd have to wait until the plane was well in the air for that. She patted his arm, "need to drink already? You'll be okay!" She patted his arm, reassuring him. As the plane taxied down the runway, Elena watched Eric's reaction. She leaned in and whispered, "just breathe. Here," she offered him her hand if he wanted to hold it. Elena found the take off to be nice, the feeling of being lifted off the ground was thrilling. She was something of a thrill seeker/adrenaline junkie to begin with, so flying was a breeze.

Once the plane got to it's cruising altitude, the flight attendant walked back to Eric with his drink, "here you are sir." She looked at Elena, "is there anything that I can get you miss?" Elena thought for a moment, she might have as well joined Eric, "yes, I'll have a rum and coke please." The flight attendant smiled at her and went to retrieve her drink. Elena looked at Eric with a sly smile, "when in Rome!" And shrugged her shoulders as she let out a small giggle.

Eric frowned at the flight attendant as she walked away but smiled at Elena trying to look more confident that he was. He obediently made sure that his seat was in the upright position and he buckled his seat belt, checking it over once or twice. He smiled a little thanking her for the opportunity to hold her hand if need be and he breathed when she instructed him to. He quickly grabbed her hand when she offered it to him mainly out of nervousness however, he liked the feel of her smaller, soft hand inside of hers.

As they made their way down the runway, Eric's grip became tighter and he subconsciously rubbed one of her fingers as a sort of comfort mechanism. As far as takeoffs go, he considered that one to be a fairly decent takeoff and he made very small talk along the rise to their cruising altitude to try to take his mind off the fact that he was going miles into the air. Elena's presence and her hand made him feel way more secure on the plane. He sort of knew that she had some experience flying but he was not sure about the extent of her experience.

One they got to their cruising height and the pilot had confirmed it, he exhaled deeply and looked over to her with a bright smile on his face. "Thanks Elena. I feel a lot better. It's just the up and down parts that shake me up a bit." A moment later the flight attendant showed up at his seat with his drink and he accepted it, nodded and thanked the attendant. He continued to hold on to Elena's hand having basically forgot that they were holding hands, especially since he was sitting on the outside did not need his left hand to secure his drink. He was glad that she had ordered a drink as well because he was unaware of flight politics. Once the lady had walked away to get her drink he heard her speak about Rome, "Do what the Romans do!" Eric responded cheerfully and laughed a bit before leaning in close to her and whispered, "Am I supposed to tip? Do I have to start a tab? How does this work?"

Elena started to laugh at Eric, it was cute to see him unaware of flight etiquette. "You can make a tab if you want, though they limit it to so many drinks. The attendant will hand you a ticket before leaving the plane where you can pay at the terminal in Miami." She ran her thumb along his hand, enjoying the fact that he was still holding her hand. Though when the flight attendant came back with her drink, Elena released her hold to grab her cocktail. She took a few welcomed sips, "I don't think they put enough rum in this," she said with a wink. "I suppose you're drinking to help with the nerves of flying?" She tucked one foot under her leg, just behind her knee to get herself a little more comfortable.

After his response, she proceeded to tell him about how her father used to take her flying all the time and the fact that she was even considering getting her pilot's license. "IF and when I get it, I'll have to take you for a ride some time!" She gently nudged him, obviously joking. "Two seat planes are much scarier than this, I wouldn't want to scar you for life!" She raised a hand to her mouth, covering it as she laughed. "I've always been something of a dare devil, that what I get for growing up with two brothers." She felt really relaxed with Eric and was enjoying his company immensely.

"So tell me about yourself, I only know work related stuff about you." She sipped on her drink, watching his face intently. Elena knew that Eric was a handsome guy, you'd have to be blind not to notice, but seeing him outside of work brought a different side to him that Elena was enjoying. "Feel free to ask me questions too, I'd like to think I'm an open book!"

Eric became disappointed when she removed her hand from his but hid it on his face quickly. The Young Man took a large sip from his drink and nodded a bit in response to his question about his flying nerves as he tasted his drunk. Indeed he felt like it was a little weak for his taste but it would do for now. The drink was enough to help his mind become at ease but not enough to impair him or cause him to become belligerent. Eric would start a tab, instructing the attendant to put her drinks on his tab as well since they could only get a few anyway.

Eric listened in amazement as she told her story about flying and her father. It astonished him to think that she was so comfortable with the flying process. She was knowledgeable about the science, equipment, and business of aviation. 'Nothing like a smart woman,' he thought to himself as he sipped some more of his drink. "Yeah, I'll pass on that." he chuckled a bit. "I prefer to stay on the ground if at all possible. Now if you wanna talk about daredevils get me behind the wheel of a car! I can do speed, just not in the air." He scratched his chin a bit, thinking a little about what would be interesting to tell her.

"Well," he started slowly, "I got a brother and a sister and I'm the middle child." Eric paused a bit to take a sip of his drink, "I didn't have the whole middle child problem though because I played basketball all my life and was pretty damn good too." He looked away for a moment and took another sip of his drink deciding that he wanted to open up to her more. "Until I got into the accident. I got hit by a drunk driver my sophomore year in college and broke my leg. Since I couldn't play at the same level I lost my athletic scholarship, luckily I earned the academic one the semester after. After that I got serious about life, left the women alone and focused on building my life." He smiled a bit toward her. They had talked about school a lot but basketball and the accident was a soft spot for him. Eric had been sure that he was going to play for the NBA but life did not agree with him. He didn't mind though because at the end of the day, he was here with her and wouldn't change it for the world.

"A speed demon huh? I would have never guessed you had a thing for cars!" She smirked at him. She knew just what kind of car he drove and was playing coy with him. Elena had a nice car herself, though she wasn't big on racing or anything like that. She was more on an aviation kind of girl. There was a much bigger thrill being in the air and going fast then being on the ground and going fast. She wouldn't argue semantics over it though, to each their own, she thought.

She laughed at his middle child comment. It always puzzled her that the middle child seemingly had it harder in life, but it was good to know that Eric was an exception to the rule. She listened intently as he talked about something dear to his heart. She felt honored that he was opening up a side of him that he probably didn't show to too many people. She placed her hands on his, just out of caring and politeness. "wow, that's rough, but I'm glad that it all worked out for you. Who knows, if you went on to be a professional athlete, we would probably have never met!" She wanted to end the topic on a light note, though she wasn't trying to say that his accident was a good thing. "You left women alone?" She looked a bit puzzled at him. "So you're gay?" She tried to stay straight faced, but couldn't and broke into a wide grin. "I'm only teasing, I'd hope you're not gay, that would be a shame for womankind!"

"Well I guess now it's my turn. Let's see...I'm an only child, though I don't fit the stereotype of being a spoiled brat. My dad is a surgeon and my mom stayed at home taking care of me. I had an affluent upbringing, but my parents made sure that I worked very hard for the things that I wanted. My dad tried encouraging me into medical school, but it wasn't my calling. I was and am a salesperson and a great persuader, so naturally I'm in marketing!" She chuckled a bit. "I really don't play any sports, though I was in dance for several years and don't let the costumes and sparkles fool you, it's very cut throat!" She could another sip of her drink, "so yeah, that's me in a nutshell!"

Eric sipped his drink and nodded a bit as she joked on him. He twisted his face even poking his tongue out a little. Honestly, everyone knew he was into cars so that was a bit of a give away. One day he would have to take her for a trip in Onyx, his car, and show her how much fun a vehicle that was on the ground could actually be, who knows it might turn out that she liked ground speed more than she thought.

When she placed her hand on his a jolt of emotional electricity went through his body causing his heart rate to accelerate a bit. Eric secretly loved the feel of her soft hand gently massaging hers but to hide it he took another sip of his drink. At her gay comment he looked at her and cut his eyes while smirking a bit. He was about to make some sort of smart remark until she said the last part, especially the piece about it being a shame for womankind. Was she...flirting? He returned her grin. "Oh, you don't have to worry." He turned his head to the aisle, "Im fully available for the next beautiful woman I see." As he finished his sentence he looked at her and leaned over and bumped her with his shoulder. 'Oh My God..' he thought to himself, 'Did I really just say that?' He laughed a bit to indicate that he was joking although there a peace of truth involved.

Eric nervously, although his face didn't show it, listened to her brief explanation of her childhood. It seemed like she had a pretty good childhood and for that he was happy. He made a confusing face when she talked about dancing. "I never knew you danced," Eric said with a bit of astonishment, "didn't take you for the dancing type." He shrugged a bit thinking that it was pretty cool. "I'm sure its very cut throat." His voice was mocking this time, "lots of broken nails and hair pulling right?"

She laughed right along with him at his remark about being available. He didn't seem like the ladies man type, but she really didn't know him outside of work and he could very much be that kind of guy, though Elena hoped not. Men like that were trouble and though she really didn't think that her and Eric would become something more, it would still be disappointing to find out that he was that kind of guy.

"Well of course you didn't know that I danced, but I did! How do you think I got this body?" She smirked at him. "Even still, I go to dance classes just for the workout. The dance community is a lot of fun and if I didn't love dancing so much, I'd probably make a career out of it, but I don't want it to be my life, just a passion of it." Her mom had had an extensive conversation with Elena when she was a teenager because her mom wanted to her pursue dancing as a career, but Elena knew that she would wind up hating it if she had to eat, sleep and breathe dancing.

"Heh, it's a little more cut throat than that. One particular competition, a rival team sabotaged my team when they slicked the stage floor, costing us first place." Elena talked about ti as if she was a third party looking in on the situation. "We got our revenge though, the next week, me and a few other girls, put Nair in their shampoo bottles at school." Yeah, it was a little mean, but that's what teenage girls did then. She finished her drink and handed the empty cup back to the flight attendant, declining another drink.

They had been in the air for almost two hours when they hit a bit of turbulence, causing a few gasps from the passengers and wide eyes from Elena. It was gone as soon as it started, apparently they ran into some heavy winds, but everything was clear from there on out. She didn't want Eric to freak out, so she decided to start talking again. "If we get some down time, I'll show you a few moves if you want, I could even teach you a thing or two!" She mentioned as she winked at him.

Eric laughed a bit with her throughly enjoying talking to her so much so that the time passed far too quickly. Elena had made a very good point, she had an amazing body and everybody knew it. Not in the way that she dressed slutty but in a sense that her business attire always fit her very well and it was even more evident in her casual attire. He took the opportunity to look at her body once again this time noticing how nicely the skinny jeans gripped her legs and how her button down shirt hugged her curves but not too much so that it was not tasteful. He didn't look too long though as she continued talking about how she went to dance for the workout. He had heard that dancing was good exercise but he had never really participated although he did know how to salsa from a class held in middle school.

"Yeah I can understand that," he started, "Sometimes basketball became a burden because it was pushed onto me at times when I just wanted to go hang out and stuff." He chuckled a little bit and finished his drink accepting another one although this one would be his last. He gave her a stern look when she mentioned the Nair in shampoo bottles. "Are you serious?" Eric broke into a laugh and tried to hold it back, "I can only imagine the looks on their faces." Honestly, it was a horrible thing to do but kids would be kids so what could you say.

The turbulence caught Eric completely off guard. He immediately got nervous, like most people who didn't fly often. Luckily for him, Elena was there for him to take his mind off of the bumpy ride. "I would love that," he responded toward her dancing comment, "You might be surprised, I'm light on my feet." He smirked at her as the turbulence eased out and he continued his drink. Soon enough, the buckle your seatbelt sign came on and they began there descent. Eric reached out to hold Elena's hand again and smiled, "It's easier for me this way."

"Well being a basketball player, I'm sure that you have some moves!" She enthused, trying to continue to keep his mind off of the turbulence. She was actually a little excited to get him out on the dancefloor to see what kinds of moves hi had. She was also anxious to show off a little because she loved to dance and she was really good at it.

She squeezed his hand gently as he took hers when the plane started to descend. "No worries, I don't mind holding your hand!" She offered him a smile, then turned her attention out the window and she watched the plane descend through the clouds. That was her favorite part, there was something so magical about it.

With a safe landing, the passengers began to collect their things and make a single file out of the plane. Elena was in front, leading the way. The flight attendant handed Eric a ticket for the drinks and Elena led him over to the counter so that he could pay it. Once that was settled and they grabbed their bags at the baggage claim, they hailed a taxi and made their way to the hotel.

Elena had all the itinerary so she handled the checking in. "You're kidding me?!" she exclaimed to the receptionist. She then looked back at Eric, "it seems that Jerry didn't book us two rooms, but one room with two beds, are you okay with sharing a room with me?" She looked a little anxious for his answer, but it was just frustration that Abstergo was being so cheap.

Eric was glad that she did not mind holding his hand, he was actually rather happy to hold hers so it just bad it all the better. He was extremely happy to be back on the ground again feeling almost as if he had got his mojo back. It was funny that he didn't even realize how nervous he had been on the plane. As the filed out, he caught himself admiring shamelessly, the sway of her hips mesmerized him a bit. The flight attendant tapped him rudely to hand him his ticket while giving him a judgmental look.

Eric took time while they were hailing a cab to look around at the environment. He had not been to Miami in a very long time and he had almost forgot the vibrance of the city. He inhaled the crisp evening air and checked his watch. 9:30 was still early and even though they had to get up bright and early the next morning Eric really wanted to go and get something to eat and maybe go to a little lounge or something.

He had pretty much stayed out of the business of the room since she had all of the required documentation. When she said that they had to room together he simply nodded and responded, "Sure that's cool." It seemed that she was a little upset about the situation and he could understand why but it sort of disheartened him a bit. Honestly, he was excited about rooming with her and it would be good for the brainstorming that they had to do. Eric only worried about the mornings and decided that he would try to wake up before her incase he had morning wood. The Young Businessman believed that it could potentially be an awkward situation for the both of them. Once all that business was settled they headed up to the room and Eric slid his card into the door then pushed it open so that Elena could go inside first.

"Thank you kindly!" She stated as Eric opened the door and allowed her to walk in first. Though she was a bit annoyed with the bunking situation, it wasn't because she'd have to share a space with Eric, it had more to do with the fact that Abstergo was being cheap when they had more than enough money; it was a priority issue and apparently her and Eric's sleeping arrangements weren't one of them. Feeling that her sourness might of come off differently to Eric, she apologized, "I'm happy to bunk with you, I just didn't know that Abstergo was going to be so cheap, you know?" She shrugged at the thought, it was neither here nor there now.

After getting situated in the relatively nice room, Elena flipped around the menu's that the hotel had placed on the desk. "Where would you like to eat? I've never been to Miami so I have no idea what's good here, though I have a funny feeling that whatever it is it's going to be Hispanic food!" She smirked as she looked over the menu's once more. "Let me just go freshen up and then we can head out." She went into the bathroom and brushed her hair and reapplied some mascara. She thought about changing, but decided against it. They would just be having dinner then coming back to the hotel, or so she thought.

While he held the door, he smiled and nodded taking the chance to admire her backside again without her knowing. Eric became a little upset with himself, he should not get into a habit of looking at Elena like that. If she caught him if would make the week a little more awkward, especially considering the close living situations. Eric could understand her frustration with Abstergo being cheap with the hotel reservations, "I hope they didn't take the cheap way out with anything else," he said in support while he unpacked his clothes and put the rest of his things for the week away.

It took him a bit longer to get situated that it did Elena. The whole unpacking process, to him, was stupid but he did not want to seem like a sloppy person. As he worked on the last little bit of clothes she asked him about where he wanted to eat. He hummed a bit as he brushed his brown hair and looked in the mirror at himself before shifting his eyes to her and smiling. "Are you saying you're the mood for burritos and margaritas? Or you think that's your only choice?" The Young Businessman chuckled a bit before shifting his eyes back to his reflection in the mirror. "I tell you what.. let's just go downtown and walk around for a while and see what we find."

As she moved to freshen up, he decided to do the same. He pulled open a drawer and pulled out a black v-neck tee shirt, removed the shirt that he had on and placed it in a laundry bag that he had brought. Eric was in incredible shape and it was clearly evident with the absence of a shirt. His muscles bulged but not in a disgusting body builder sort of way but more like an underwear model. He reached down and grabbed his cologne off of the counter beside the television and sprayed it twice, first on his neck and then on over his tight abs, a small glistening of the scent forming briefly. Once he decided that he wanted to iron his shirt he turned and walked over to the closet, remembering that Elena may not have been comfortable with this he tried to cover his body. "Sorry, I just need to iron this really quick."

She caught a glimpse of Eric's bare chest and stood there gaping at him for a split second. She felt her cheeks redden so she looked away. Since he always wore suit to work, she didn't know that he had such a great body underneath. Something inside her stomach clenched at the thought of his chest. She allowed him to take the iron and she finished freshening up. After about five more minutes, she entered back into the main living space. It seemed that Eric was done too. The black t-shirt looked really good on him that it made Elena bite her bottom lip, knowing what laid underneath.

They headed out of the hotel and walked the block or two to the downtown area. It was lively and music placed from seemingly everywhere. Elena got excited when she saw a small band playing near the pier and dragged Eric over to it. The band was playing an upbeat tempo and everyone was swaying the hips around enjoying the music. Elena beamed at Eric and started to move her hips a bit. Once the song ended, they continued their walk. "Have you been to Miami before?" She had gotten the feeling that he had and she was glad because she'd let him decide where to eat.

Eric had quickly got the rest of himself together apologizing for his brief nudity. Honestly, they were both adults and she had probably seen a man's chest before. Perhaps it was the close quarters that they were in or merely sheer surprise factor but he was sure he caught her blushing a touch. He enjoyed a bit of conversation with her while they walked to the vibrant down town entertainment district. He looked around simply enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells of the bustling district. Eric was looking away from Elena when she dragged him toward the back and was initially caught off guard. He bounced a little to the sound of the music, finding the band to have a pretty good sounds although he wasn't paying to much attention to the words because he was transfixed on Elena. The way he moved was almost as if she was at one with the beat, the sway of her hips had him lost for a moment until the music stopped and she did as well.

He had been walking closely to her so that he could hear her amongst the music and talking that was going on around them. "Yeah, I came like my sophomore year. I was drunk the whole time so I barely remember it." He laughed a little and grabber her hand quickly and darted across the road while there was a break in the traffic. Eric had spotted a little mom and pop create your own burger shop and he thought that it would be a good place to try. "Do you like burgers?" he asked, forgetting momentarily that not everyone was into that kind of greasy food. "If not we can keep looking."
