“Good morning.” The young woman nodded at him when he came to the door early. If she was surprised, she didn’t let on- but since she was already ready it didn’t seem to matter. It was no inconvenience that she didn’t have to wait that extra fifteen minutes. “I slept well, thank you.” She assured him. Elle had to admit, the bed in there had been quite comfortable! Even the guest house had nicer furnishings than her actual apartment did. She had a pull-out sofa that smelled like cheese pizza! Needless to say, she enjoyed the luxuries a bit more than she cared to admit.
Elle was ready so climbed into the car. She looked around the interior of the car, and knew it was nice even if she wasn’t really impressed. She’d managed to sleep well, somehow, and she had somehow managed to avoid getting hung over so she was able to be as alert as she needed to be. He might not have been armed, but Elle was. Her gun was tucked in a holster that was concealed by the blazer she was wearing. Today she left it unbuttoned so the look was a little more casual than it had been before. Today her hair was down, which somehow seemed to soften her features a bit more.
“I think cars are a means to an end.” Elle admitted, finding no point in lying about her opinion since he actually seemed interested in her personality- and lying to him, even about something small like this, could easily backfire. “I prefer function over flashiness, but I have to admit a car is pretty nice to have. Walking in heels can be a bitch if you have to go long distances.” She looked out the car window, watching the scenery as it swooped by the window. “Are you going to tell me what we’re shopping for?” she asked.
