Cindy's eyes light up as her master slyly pretended to be too tired to leave. "I would love that master." She said as she snuggled up against his warm body. Her hand pressed a button on the inside of the coffin and slowly the lid came down over the two.
Months had passed since the Halloween party. Soon spring came and with it came a holiday traditionally celebrated in the south. For weeks the mansion had been buzzing about with anticipation and gossip about the upcoming event. This year the mardi gras ball would once again be hosted in the mansion and this years theme was the circus. Everyone in the household was invited. A week before the ball maids were rushing about at night trying to pull together their gowns and outfits and finish creating the costumes for those lucky to be on the court.
Finally a week passed and the moment the sun set the residents of the mannor was empty of its residents having fun with the parades. By nine that night they had returned and taken an hour to change clothing and finished last minute decorations and catering. By 10 sharp all the wemon were in ball gowns and masks, the men in their tusks and the guests were arriving.
The theme this year was The Circus visits ... Manor. The main entrance, were most of the seasonal events take place, was decorated like the inside of a circus tent. The walls were covered in red and white stripped material so that it was nearly impossible to tell they were in an actual house. There were tight ropes and bars with nets underneath were acrobats were hired to swing across and put on a show for the guests and ribbon hanging from the cieling for them to pose and dance on. Some of the rooms down one hallway had bars on the doors with animals caged inside for the guests to walk past. The mansion was known for going all out at their balls, at least to the magical world. Across the staircase by the door was a stage with throne like chairs set for the members of the coart this year. Those on the court were upstairs doing last minute pampering and preparing for the opening ceremony.
