He frowned at the before setting the clipboard down on the counter. "Pull your shirt up for a moment please."

She inhaled sharply and nodded. She lifted the end of her shirt up to where her breasts ended

He felt along her stomach silently before moving over to the counter, writing something down on the clipboard. When he finished he moved over to the door and let Alex in handing him a prescription. "I believe.....that she's pregnant. I have no way to know this early on though so use this test....if you two would like to speak alone for a moment, I'm done here. Feel free to use the room for as long as you'd like."

Venice eavesdropped on the conversation with the doctor and her brother. Her eyes widened and she let out a tiny whine. She felt tears threatening to leave her eyes. She watched her brother walk in. "I'm pregnant." She burst into tears and sobbed into her hands

He kissed her gently. "Hey calm down....I'll take care of it.....and you don't even know for sure yet."

She sniffled and nodded. "W-we need the test then." She whispered and wiped her tear stained eyes

He kissed her gently not understanding. "We'll get it but why are you crying?"

She looked away. "I....I don't know." She murmured and pulled her knees up to her chest

He kneeled before her, turning her to face him. "Hey....be honest Venice. Why does being pregnant worry you this much?"

She shook lightly. "Mother died from giving birth to our younger sister. She didn't survive. Dad killed himself after that. I'm scared." She confessed and looked down

He kissed her firmly. "Mom was skinny. She was nothing like you." He looked into her eyes as he kept speaking, a teasing tone creeping into his voice. "Your hips are nicely sized and perfect for giving birth. Mom's weren't."

She listened to him explain to her the difference. She blushed softly and nodded. "Oh." She answered and smiled

He kissed her as he smiled. "Good....ready to get the test and go home now?"

She nodded. "I think they have some here."

"Come on then." He stood up and held out a hand to her.

She took his hand and stood up. She smiled and walked out of the room. She walked to a nurse. "Excuse me, I need to use a pregnancy test."

The nurse smiled at her. "Alright. Is there a specific brand you'd like to use, or do you have a subscription from a doctor?"

She gave the nurse a confused look. "I...I just need to see if I'm pregnant. A regular test would be fine."

She nodded and walked into another room, coming out a moment later, handing Venice the test. "Here."

She looked at the test then up at her brother. She sighed and thanked her. She walked to the restroom and closed the door. She sighed again and did the procedure for taking the test

He leaned against the wall and waited for her to come out, smiling slightly at the nurse.

She watched the test glaze over. Plus sign. Her eyes widened and she inhaled sharply. "A-Aster?" She stammered and stood up from the toilet. She opened the door and looked at him, her eyes giving away the answer

He slid his hand into hers as he hugged her tightly. "Hey...calm down Venny. This changes nothing....you'll be fine."

She breathed hard and nodded shakily. "I-I....I know." She whispered and laid her head on his chest. "He's not going to be there for me." She said aloud, playing the act for the nurse

He kissed her forehead gently, in a passionate yet brotherly way. "But I will be. I'll raise it and act as his or her father."
