No Zerg got close enough to harm Chrip, his non-stop bursts of fire pummeled the small zerg spawns with tin can sized shells. Each rending deep into the carapace and blasted its body apart leaving only shredded meat and shell in its wake. Those that escaped Chirp's near endless volley were destroyed easily with each precision shot of the Reaper flying above. Heads and limbs were blasted appart during the mass of fire. The dead zerg were absorbed into the creep and back into the spawn pool, where more devastating creatures could be summoned.
