He moved at the sound of her voice, turning to look at her weakly. "Lucy...."

Lucy dropped her bag and gently sat on his bed. "Jacey....Oh...Jacey...NO!" she screamed in sadness and hugged him softly.

He breathed out, unable to move his own arms. "Lucy...you sh....should be in....in school...." He started to struggle then, panicking as a thought came to him. "Alice...where's Alice...she....she can't go home....not....not without....m....me there....."

 

[Ahri the Kumiho]

"I won't go to school!" she said and showed him her arms. They were covered in blood and slashes. She grabbed her phone and texted Alice. "LEAVE SCHOOL! COME TO THE HOSPITAL! TO JACEY'S ROOM NOW!"

Seeing her arms didn't calm him down. "Lu....Lucy....y....you promised m....me!"

 

[Ahri the Kumiho]

"Don't say anything! You have no right to say anything!" she cried and her face flooded in tears. "I'll call the police right fucking now! That motherfucker has to go to jail!" she said, she fell on the floor, staining it with blood from her arms.

"I....I ha....have ever.....every right....I ca...can't let Alice ge....get take....taken to a fo....foster home." He closed his eyes, leaning back exhausted from the small movements that he'd been doing.

Lucy cried as she heard that. She remembered that his mom had been killed in an accident and they lived with their abusive father. "No...NO!" she cried and crawled to a corner, bringing her knees up to her chin and crying on them.

He didn't say anything, just leaning back with his eyes closed as he tried to get his breathing back to normal.

 

[Ahri the Kumiho]

"Please...Alice...she....she must be saved from that fucker!" she said crying. "Please, Jacey...What can i do?"

Alice had gotten Lucy's message and was stepping into the hospital now.

Jace struggled to sit up, managing to say. "Y.....L....let her.....st....stay at......yo....your h....house....."

"I will! I will!" she said worried, his father was unpredictable and the sweet little Alice was too nice to even be hurt.

 

[Violet Snow]

He relaxed, closing his eyes and leaning back. "G....good...."

Alice stepped into the room then, her shirt still bloodied from earlier. "Y...yes?" Her stutter was a nervous one, her brother's being a forced one.

Lucy looked at her. "You are staying with me, ok? I don't want your dad to get angry and beat you to death!" she said nervously.

Alice said nothing for a bit, looking down. "O....ok...."

Jace started to fall asleep as he leaned back in the bed, his many bruises and wounds numbing slightly.

 

[Ahri the Kumiho]

Lucy nodded and sat next to his bed. "We are leaving in a few hours..." she said as she cleaned the blood that fell down her arms.

 

[Violet Snow]

Alice nodded as she sat in a chair, looking at the TV as Jace continued to sleep, his breathing relaxing slightly.

Lucy couldn't believe it. She had to do something. Her family were spacious and rich enough to adopt them, so it was a possibility.

Alice soon got bored of the TV, moving to look out the window.

Jace shifted and murmured out Lucy and Alice's names a few times but besides that he slept soundlessly. When visiting hours came to an end, a nurse came into the room to escort Lucy and Alice out.

Lucy kissed his lips before leaving as she held Alice's hand. "You'll come with me, ok? I have clothes for you and food for you, ok?" she said and slid her bag with a lot of caution on her arm as she walked out of the hospital.

Alice nodded in answer to each of Lucy's questions, following after her. Jace trusted Lucy and that was good enough for Alice.

They took a bus back home. Lucy entered and invited Alice in as her father looked at Alice. "She is Jace's younger sister...Can she stay with us? I'll tell you the reason later." she asked.
"Yes, she can," Luke said, he was really easy-going when his daughter brought kids. She walked upstairs and waited for Alice.

Alice looked down when Luke looked over her, following Lucy upstairs when she went up.

Lucy closed the door behind her and sighed. "Take a relaxing bath, use my clothes and come to eat dinner, ok?" she asked and walked down to Luke. "Dad, listen. Why Alice is here is because Jace was almost killed by his dad. I'm affraid that he might hurt her so she can stay here."
"I'll call the police."
"No, dad, listen. They will take them to a foster home, please don't.."
"Ok, we'll figure something later."
Lilly sat down, noodles with cheese were being served as she waited for Alice.

When Alice came downstairs, she was wearing a pink shirt with a flower on it and a pink skirt that Lucy had outgrown years ago. Her hair hung loosely over her eyes as she moved into the dining room.
