"Five grand." He murmured to himself as he looked at the horse and Jami. "Alright....I'll take it....I don't have five grand on my person though, will a check work?"
He smiled as he caught her, kissing her lightly like a brother should, not daring to do more with the man watching. "Alright Jami. Do you forgive me now? Even if you don't...." He set her down gently. "Help the filly into the trailer while I pay the man." He moved over to him and pulled out a blank check, filling in the price date and everything else pausing to look up at the man. "Who do I make this out to?"
Shotland Stables he nodded at Jami some secert message moving in-between them
jami nodded and went off gently talking to the filly as she slowly lead her to the trailer blind-folding the mare the only downside about her was she didnt trailer easily
jami shook her head at her brother wanting to bond with the mare herself slowly leading her up the trailer she had some resistance but jami kept talking to her until she stepped up and she loaded her up making sure she had hay and water so she would be comphortable checking her belly again before she walked out locking the door behind her the filly still blindefolded her then got back into the car smiling the secert was kept that after two weeks she would have a brilliant filly and a foal of her own
he nodded and watched as that 16 year old got that mare up the trailer like she did no one has ever gotten that mare on a trailer and just meeting this horse she got her to get in and he staired in amazement
He slid into the car, closing the door as he did and then he kissed her deeply as he wanted to when she first jumped into his arms. "I owe you that. And I would've given it to you back there if that man hadn't been watching. Now let's go back to Aunt Eliza's."
once they pulled up jami went around back slowly getting to filly out then unblindfolded her and while Alex was busy unhitching the trailer she went to aunt Eliza Aunt Eliza Cadieopia we have a secert Alex doesnt know Eliza was a horse person so she could probably tell that she was in foal by just looking at her
He finished unhitching the trailer and moved over to wrap his hands around Jami as he looked at Eliza. "So you'll have no problems watching it for an extra week right?" Originally he'd asked for a week.
well i was hoping not to that he just finds out when we come back shes due in about a week and a half she sighed knowing she was gonna get punished for this as they walked to a stall with a hooked paster leading the filly in she walked her around for a moment then let her go walking out and shutting the door and looked at eliza waiting to be scolded
She frowned as she looked at her before finally she said. "And what if he's so surprised and angry that as a result he doesn't let you keep them. What if he asks me to keep them? I'd tell him - but wait to do it until you've gotten him in a really good mood."
"I don't know." She placed a hand on Jami's shoulder. "But take my advice child. Tell him. Find a good time to do it, and tell him. You don't want to surprise him with something this big."
"Bunnies are different than horses. Especially because you used the words 'just one horse' when trying to convince him to let you get it remember?" She'd spoken with Jami about that and knew it was true.
She said nothing only looked at Jami with her arms crossed. Both of them knew that argument wouldn't fly with Alex who didn't know the difference between a horse and a foal.
she sighed will you come talk to him with me at least you know how long ive wanted a horse and she was beautiful and perfect except for the trailer refusal and soooo young i couldnt give up this chance
She smiled shaking her head. "No. The time isn't now. He's content but you don't need that. You need him to be completely happy....you're going to Hawaii. Where better to relax be completely happy. Do it sometime in the next two weeks."
"I do. But I also know a few other things." As she said that, her hand slid onto Jami's stomach as she met her eyes. "And I know you know him better than most others."
