90 Seconds to Drop! Flashed the warning across the dark screens of her mobile suit cameras. Everything was dark, hot and shaking. The red glow cast her sweating face in a bit of a nervous light, her green eyes narrowed inside her helmet.

Earth..she had never been there before, they said it was like the colonies environments..but there was all sorts of different effects. It wasn't all even like the colonies controlled atmospheres were. Africa..they didn't have much Intel on it, embarrassingly. They had spent so many years away from Earth, you just forgot the knowledge.

Michelle rolled the joysticks of her Zaku I against her sweating palms, she was nervous. She had never done an atmospheric drop before and these pods had never been tested in an actual atmosphere, the idea behind them was mechanically sound. But..she didn't like the fact that they didn't know if they were going to handle the pressure of the atmosphere or not.

Dying in space, burning up in flames..wasn't exactly her ideal way of continuing her military career. She tried to hide her nervous whimper when the pod rattled into position over earth, the dull roar of the hatch of the Musai opening up. They were getting ready...one shot and they'd be spiraling down to Earth.

She wanted to BE on Earth, she'd be much more comfortable with her death if it was something she could control. If her Zaku got blown to shreds from tank fire, she could say she just wasn't fast enough. But this..no..she was just the stupid bitch who thought this was a smart idea.

She thought it was a smart idea when she joined the military, when the Federation decided to make life hard for people in the colonies. But they weren't just going to sit around and do nothing about it. The One Week War had...she wasn't sure, it had changed something in her drive to stay in the Zeon forces when she was in the mobile suit academy. The fact that they were both so desperate meant that she needed to be out here to help end the war as soon as possible.

She just hoped she didn't piss her pants for her first assignment to earth.

"Wish they'd hurry up." She finally muttered nervously, two other suits were also nestled in the pod, practically elbow to mechanical elbow. It was about the only thing keeping her from going crazy; The fact that there was other people here.
