"Then we will get started tomorrow, Rebecca. I think that you need to take the rest of today off, as there is plenty of others willing to help with you starting this afternoon on your vacation time. Also, it actually is six weeks of vacation time, as you are forgetting all of the hours of overtime you have put in on cases with me. And I still say that, if you are interested, I can help you with submitting your applications to law school."
Trevor had taken out the expensive pen of the lovely four pen/mechanical pencil/underlining ruler/highligher set that Rebecca had gotten him for his birthday the first year. He used it all the time, and he got her on in her favorite color as well. He didn't have any issue buying pricey gifts for those at the office, as they all earned it every time. Rebecca was just the one that caught his eye as she did. He took out the leather binder that had the tablet of green narrow ruled paper with the small column on one side with a large on the other. He started writing a list on the smaller one, moving to the other larger side to give specifics of each item on the list if need. He soon carefully but quickly pulled the one sheet off the pad, handing it to her.
"I know that you will be able to bring and/or acquire if you don't already have them, the items on this list, Rebecca. I have told you the truth about me, just as you have always told me the same as well about yourself. I am very exacting in things as you know, and you have no fear of any embarrassment outside of what you and I will be doing. Also, in addition to you being a little forgetful, you also need to remember that the six weeks is a paid vacation and added to that you never asked for your checks for your overtime pay. I will give you that when you get to my home tomorrow."
When the waitress returned, he ordered her a refill of her root beer, asking for a root beer as well as he was not wanting more tea. He then went ahead and gave his Platinum card, wanting to have it ready for when they were done. He then nodded to her and handed her the dessert menu with a wicked smile on his face as he spoke agian.
"You will be working off the calories, Rebecca, so don't worry about what you get."
