Mothers momento

Lillian fled as quickly as she could heart racing in her chest, the sound of thundering feet pounding against pavement just behind her pushing her faster and faster. Green eyes darted this way and that as she sprinted down the dark alleyway taking random turns trying to loose the two large men chasing her. Her throat was on fire but she had to keep running. She didn't dare look behind her, you never looked over your shoulder when being chased. You kept your eyes ahead of you and focused on where you were going, judging the distance of how close your pursuers were by sound alone. 'There!' Taking advantage of the few precious seconds she had out of site of the men chasing her after having taken a sharp turn down another ally, Lilly dove behind a large pile of wooden crates and palates squirming as far back as she could before holding perfectly still.

Biting her lip to prevent herself from making a sound she held her breath as the men caught up to her. The pair of heavy boots raced past her the sound of their pounding footsteps slowly fading away into the distant. Only when the ally had been completely silent for several minutes did she allow herself a true breath, her small framed body trembling slightly from the adrenaline.

Lillian Cooper the famous teen daughter inheritor of the millionaire fortune of Mr. and Mrs. Cooper who had both died in a lethal car accident 6 months earlier. It had been all over the news and in the papers at first how the 16 year old daughter was the sole beneficiary of their fortune and that upon specific instructions in their will was to be given custody of herself at 16 and ownership of the families mansion. Eventually though the news reporters found fresher stories and moved on forgetting about the young orphan however not everyone had forgotten the little rich girl. Kidnapping such a teen could provide very profitable and tonight had only been the second attempt so far. Not that Lillian would tell anyone about it. The last thing she wanted was to have one of her greedy twice removed aunts to gain custody over her and her fortune. She could take care of herself, she just might need to be a little more careful next time and instead of taking the shortcut home through the ally walk the long safe way home.

Finally managing to calm down a bit having caught her breath from the run she reached up to her neck seeking her form of comfort. “My necklace!” Eyes widening with panic her delicate fingers pulled at the collar of her sweater dress feeling around for the chain which held her mothers pendant. Finding nothing she began frantically searching the ground around her in the dim light of the ally. Still nothing. Crawling out from behind the crates she quickly began making her way back towards where she had come from searching the ground for the necklace. Tears slowly began to gather in the rims of her eyes as she continued to find nothing. She could take being chased by two men that wanted to kidnap her but loosing her mothers necklace was just something she couldn't handle. It may have been stupid of her to be wandering the ally's alone at night especially considering those two men might still be looking for her but she wasn't leaving until she found that necklace. “Where is it...” She whispered softly to herself green eyes never leaving the ground.

Name: Fen
Age: 24
Height: 6'2"

It was an unusually quiet night for a certain tuft of brown fur. The streets weren’t all that hectic at this time of the night, but even the odd group of delinquents and punks that usually loitered in the alleyways seemed to have racked off somewhere. Probably somewhere warmer…. Maybe not, those punks weren’t much better off than the furry fox either. The only thing they had that he didn’t was some legal mumbo jumbo about rights and privileges. Though in exchange Fen had a nice warm coat of fur, a small price to pay during the winter season. He could never quite understand how the furless monkeys got through life with the little tuft of hair on their heads, what purpose did so little serve anyway? Maybe their brains were slightly more sensitive to the temperature than the rest of their bodies? Who knew… who cared.

Minding his own business he’d be swishing his long bushy tail from side to side as he walked, the tip slightly upturned to prevent it from collecting the filth off the alley floor that smelt of poor hygiene. He could never quite understand why anyone would want to hang out in an alley, but again, it wasn’t like he was overly fond of human beings anyway. He’d been in more than enough fights to know how pathetic they were, and he’d won enough to make sure that only the biggest of idiots would cross his path nowadays.

That however didn’t ring true for the two men that suddenly burst into Fen’s vision. His golden eyes narrowing along with an irritated scowl as one of the men kicked over a box filled with trash, the clash of metal and glass filling the silent night air and being carried away along with the stench of booze from a nearby pub. The men seemed oblivious to Fen at first, but quickly snapped their eyes his way upon hearing Fen growl with agitation, one being stupid enough to casually approach him, moving his shoulders forward in an overly thuggish way as if doing so would intimidate the fox. Apparently they weren’t from around here as normally a human would scamper off like the pathetic wretches they were

The man started blabbering about a girl and making obscene gestures, the man was claiming something about his daughter running away from home, but the way he spoke dripped with fallacy. The look of greed and the subtle smirk on his face quite clearly indicating that the man wasn’t being honest at all with him.

“Hmm? Girl? Human? Depends on if she’s pretty or not, if she wasn’t I might have missed her…. If she is she’d be up against that wall, moaning like a 5 dollar whore right about now” Fen snickered, seeing the look of complete disgust on the faces of the two men. Their eyes glaring at his complete lack of clothing with contempt, if it weren’t for his cock being concealed inside his sheath they’d probably freak then and there. That’d be fun to see, but there wasn’t any chance of him getting hard here, not in the dreary alley, and certainly not with these ugly buttfaces.

Another gust of wind blew from the other side, a soft elegant scent, possibly some sort of perfume or cleaning fabric filling his nose and making him raise an eyebrow. “There’s a girl further down the alley” he muttered to himself, not really having any reason to lie, the sooner they found this ‘girl’ the sooner they’d be out of his sight. “Smells like she’d be a good lay too” he smirked pointing down the alley towards where Lillian was looking for her necklace. It was too dark to see her, but his animalistic instincts told him there was something moving around further down the alley.

Having been given a new lead, one would think the men would be smart enough to sneak up on their target, but instead they bumbled back down the way they’d come. Grumbling obscene words and threats, Fen found himself following the pair, more out of curiosity than anything else.

Giving up wasn't something Lillian did often but life had been dealing her some pretty hardy blows recently and she felt her strength fading. Life had been great for her once. She had lived in a beautiful mansion with her two loving parents who had both been successful doctors. Sure they worked a lot which meant they hadn't been around all the time but they had been good people who wanted to help others. It had also taught Lilly to be independent at a young age which was the only thing keeping her out of foster care or under the custody of greedy long distance relatives. She had been receiving phone calls and letters from “family” members that she didn't even know existed. A bunch of greedy bastards were what they were and Lillian had turned every single one of them away. She didn't need them. She didn't need anyone...

The sound of the soles of her shoes scraping against the dirty asphalt echoed off the brick walls as she walked up and down the alleyways emerald eyes scanning the ground in hopes of catching a glimmer of her mothers necklace. But truthfully Lilly didn't even know exactly which alleys she had been down and which she hadn't. She had been so frantic when running away from the two thugs that had been chasing her she really hadn't paid attention where she was going let alone where she had been. She didn't even know if they had been trying to kidnap her for ransom or if they were simply two scumbags chasing after a young pretty girl walking down the street alone at night, not that it really mattered either way.

Lillian stood out like a sore thumb with her long blond hair and delicate pretty face. It had been foolish of her to be out this late alone but she hadn't been expecting it to be so dead out. Normally there were at least a few people wandering up and down the streets headed home late from work or going out with friends but it had practically been a ghost town out tonight.
Arms wrapped around herself and tears in her eyes Lillian felt utterly defeated... She wasn't going to find her mothers necklace out here in the dark. The only thing she could do was go home and come back first thing in the morning when it was light out and look some more. Turning around she prepared to head home but stopped dead in her tracks. A couple yards away stood the two men from earlier blocking her way out. Heart hammering against her ribs she prepared to make another run for it but glancing over her shoulder she found to her dread that she was at a dead end and utterly trapped.

“You really shouldn't have run from us. We might have been nice before but now we need to teach you a little lesson.” One of them drawled lazily as they slowly moved towards her wicked smirks plastered on their faces. Backing away Lilly looked around frantically for anything that might help her. Lunging for a pile of junk that was stacked in the back corner she swiftly pulled out a broken metal pipe that she had spotted. Gripping the steel with both hands she turned to face the men holding the metal rod in front of her like a weapon. “Oh? What do you think you're gonna do with that?” The man laughed as they continued forward clearly not intimidated by her. “Stay away from me!” she screamed swinging the pipe back and forth in a large arch in front of her which stopped the men a couple feet away from her but they were simply buying their time and waiting for an opening.

Fen stood silently in the shadows for a few seconds, noticing the long flowing golden hair before the other two men, he’d taken a mild interest in the girl in an instant, but had opted to stay silent as to see what the two men wanted with her. It was clear that these two weren’t interested in Lynette as a person. They’re hands groping the air in a sick motion indicated something much more sick and twisted. Lillian obviously realized the same thing as she immediately armed herself, trying to act tough and waving a metal pole in their faces. She wasn’t a fighter that was for sure, Fen didn’t know about the two men infront of him, but Fen could have jumped in and disarmed the girl severa times already. Her swings were too wide, and it was taking her too long to move the pole back into position after swinging it, even if she did chance a hit on one of the men the other would undoubtedly grab her and shove her to the ground with ease.

Fen sighed quietly, closing his eyes and thinking his options over. It’d be less difficult to watch the men overpower Lillian and watch them drag her off. If he did that he’d never see any of them ever again, and he could get on with his life before this little charade had interrupted it. On the other hand he could save the girl and have her follow him around for the rest of his life like a lost puppy…. Well the idea itself wasn’t so bad, Fen wasn’t overly fond of humans as companions, but this one looked nice enough to decorate his room, and he had to admit he sort of admired the girls spirit. Only problem with his option was that he’d probably have to deal with the parents hounding him and accusing him of abducting her. He didn’t know if these two goons were connected to Lillian yet, but one thing he could say for sure was that they weren’t about to give up that easily.

Another sigh.

Golden eyes suddenly snapped open, and the two men who’d been oblivious to Fen tailing them were forced to acknowledge his presence as the fox darted out, grabbing the steel pipe with one hand mid swing, while his other hand shot out and grabbed Lillians hand. Squeezing on her wrists until she was forced to let go. The steel pipe falling with a loud clatter onto the concrete floor. Shoving Lillian back into the wall and leaning his muzzle inches from her face. Growling savagely and baring his sharp silver teeth that glinted in the moonlight. Ignoring the surprised protests from the men, but not taking his senses off them just in case they tried attacking him as well. "How much are you worth girl?" he growled. His question was unclear, but not a single one of them would be calm enough to ask him to clarify. Lillian could try, but the way those golden eyes glared down at her seemed to suggest he'd rip her throat open if the answer she gave wasn't the one he wanted.

The swings were wild and uncoordinated as the pipe whizzed though the air but it seemed to be enough to keep the men at bay at least for now. Neither of them really wanting to get their head or arm bashed by the metal rod. The girl may be small but a steel pipe is still a steel pipe and getting hit by one at full swing even by a child could hurt enough to be an annoyance. Her focus was completely on the two men in front of her never having suspected a third person and she didn't know what hit her or to be more precise what she hit as her pipe struck something solid, the two men still standing a few feet away. No wait she hadn't hit something, something had caught the pipe! She barely had time to process this before a dark clawed hand shot out snatching her wrist and squeezing so tightly she feared it might break. The pipe crashed to the floor as her hand released it before she was shoved roughly against the cold brick wall behind her.

Lillian felt her heart stop as her emerald eyes locked with a pair of sharp golden ones. She struggled to process what had just happened but random thoughts such as dog...beast...fox...anthro flashed through her mind as she stared face to face with the growling, snarling creature. An anthro? How had this happened? Where had he come from? A more reasonable thought would have been, 'Is he going to kill me?' but Lillians mind was past reasonable thinking and into straight out shocked territory. She had never been so close to one before. Anthro's and humans didn't exactly mingle very much and certainly not with upper class humans. She had read about them in books and seen pictures and even seen a couple in passing on the streets but they weren't overly common to begin with.

Her heart began to race again as she broke out of her stunned trance eyes dropping to the ground to avoid contact with the intense gaze of the male fox. She felt a painful twisting pain in her gut at his question about her worth. What did he mean by that? How much money she was worth? She feared if she answered wrong it would be the end. Desperately she tried to gather her thoughts or her courage depending on how one looked at it. Lillian was afraid their was no doubt of that if you knew what you were looking for. She wasn't screaming or sobbing and begging for mercy but the subtitle quaking of her shoulders and quivering of her lower lip was a give away to the fear she felt inside to a trained eye.

No. She was determined to survive this. It would not end here in some back alley at the jaws of some beast or at the hands of these men. She refused to let it happen like this. Forcing her gaze up she locked eyes with the fox again gathering every last ounce of courage she had left in her. “My worth is more than you can imagine.” she stated simply her eyes never leaving his.

The two men having finally recovered from the shock of Fens sudden appearance decided to get their shit together. Strutting forward with their chests out the larger of the two reached forward grabbing Fen's arm. “What the hell do you think you're doing shes ours!”

Fen glanced over her body with mild interest. Unlike the others in the alleyway, his eyes were accustomed to the dark, and glimmered dangerously with a predatory glow. Golden orbs glinting ferociously as he took in the sight of her long blond hair, supple breasts, and pearly white skin. Despite his joke earlier he’d never taken too much interest in human women. The idea of sharing one with another human male disgusted him, and no sane girl would possibly defile herself willingly. After all, it was illegal and all and even if there was some sort of benefit in sleeping with an anthro, the consequences would completely override them tenfold.

Of course, there was also the possibility of rape. It was more possible than the former possibility, but the consequences were dire. A witch hunt would be put together within a matter of hours, and not having the right to leave the country, or even city without permission, it wasn’t like he could run far. The thought of being constantly on the run was amusing, but any enticement was swiftly nulled along with the realization that life would get very tiring, very quickly.

“More than I can imagine?” he growled tipping his head slightly to the side, glaring at her spitefully for a second before his tense expression relaxed, a wolfish grin on his muzzle as he let out a grunt-like scoff. “Couldn’t possibly let something so valuable slip through my paws, could I?” he asked himself, completely ignoring the man behind him who staked their claim over his new toy. “So if I save your pretty little hide, you’ll owe me what you’re worth right?” Fen asked with a creepy leer, slithering his eyes over her body wantingly before slipping her arm around the girls neck. Silently slipping behind her with his back planted firmly against the wall, while his warm soft fur in the form of his chest, stomach and thighs pressed against Lillian’s back. A distinct scent emitting off his fur, it was a sort of musk, but barely powerful enough to be noticed. A weak perfume by human standards.

“Hands in the air and 5 steps back, or I’ll snap the girls neck” he chuckled squeezing his arm against Lillian’s neck in a manner which looked intimidating, but was actually done with no more force than a light hug. “It’d be a pity to let such a pretty girl die…. No?” he sniggered, smiling at the men with his head just above Lillian’s head. His chin resting comfortably on her long blonde hair as she fit perfectly inside his arms. The feeling sending chills up Fen’s spine, but chills he managed to hide as he continued to grin at the two men.

“I’ve got little to live for anyway, I could easily tear both your throats up and rip your flesh apart slowly and painfully before dealing the killing blow, but it’d be all for nothing if this sweet little flower got away. Hence I snap her neck and enjoy her soft, beautiful body afterwards, should still be warm for a few hours right?” baring his sharp white teeth in the moonlight. It might have seemed like a bluff, but not even a master negotiator could be certain it was.

Fen waited, glaring at the men and waiting for their response. They seemed to be pissed at first, but one of them seemed to realize something crucial. If Fen were to take the girl’s body, and traumatize Lillian, there was no way she’d continued to live by herself. Perhaps she’d even come begging for permission to live with ‘family’? Even if she didn’t survive or ended her life, the fortune her parents left behind would go to Lillian’s closest of kin. An event which would work out just fine for the two men as it’d give their employer what they wanted in a roundabout way.

“Well?” Fen asked sliding his free hand down Lillians arm, and squeezing her shoulder reassuringly. His body ready to toss the girl aside and literally end the lives of both men if they so much as took a step towards him. He didn’t know what Lillian thought of him, but he was secretly hoping she’d find him the lesser of two evils and see through his bluff. If not…. Well he’d just have to make that bluff…. Real. A pity, but he couldn’t have Lillian bragging how she’d survived being raped by fur as the authorities would swarm over this spot in minutes.

Something about the way his gaze traveled up and down her body gave it a predatorial feel that no human could probably accomplish. It made it impossible for her to tell if the way those golden eyes traveled lazily over the features of her body was sexual or if it was more like a hungry dog staring at a juicy steak. Either way it sent a chill down her spine making her wish she could shrink away to nothing.

It was illegal for human females to have sexual interactions with anthros. No one really knew the reasons why it was banned but the law was strictly upheld and there were serious consequences for both parties if discovered There were the usual rumors and excuses that the women would fall ill or die or become infected with god knows what and were forced to be quarantined never to be seen again but in the end no one really knew for sure and it was a very hush hush matter. Lillian personally had never really thought on the matter much before now because it had never directly affected her. Sure out of idle curiosity she had done some research on anthros and all the different breeds and had actually found the topic to be quite interesting but that was about as far as that had gone.

The suspense of waiting to see if her response had satisfied this strange male anthro was killing her when finally he spoke again, his expression softening slightly giving her a feeling of hope that she might actually make it through this. Owe him what she was worth? The male didn't seem to know who she was so she could probably get away with offering him a couple hundred thousand dollars in return for helping her. However she began to doubt that he was simply after money as his eyes traveled over the curves of her body with a certain kind of hunger that didn't necessarily have to do with greed.

After all the problem with wishing for something bigger and badder to beat your current opponent was that after they were defeated you still had the bigger and badder to deal with.

Lillian didn't move as the fox wrapped his arm around her neck sliding into place behind her. She was past the point of fleeing and fighting clearly wasn't an option, she was cornered and trapped alone with three males that all wanted something from her and she needed to pick a side. Sometimes your only options was to pick the lesser of two evils and sure most people would think that the wise decision would be to pick your own race but humans hadn't exactly been kind or helpful to Lillian lately so she chose to side with something knew and unknown. Instincts also told her that the male fox could easily over power the two men and then she would still be in his hands so she might as well start off on his side.

His threat sounded serious and the way he spoke was unwavering but the way he held his arm around her neck felt almost gentle. If he really wanted to hurt her she was sure he would have been more rough with her to start with. Pressing her body back against him she put her faith in the fact that what he said was merely a bluff to get the other two men to leave and did her best to ignore the fear that settled in her gut at what he said. Should still be warm? Was this creature..man so terrible that he would honestly consider defiling her body after she was dead? She didn't know what to think or believe. It could all be a bluff or not, there really was no way to tell for sure. She was just about at the point of inner panic as graphic thoughts and images flashed through her mind threatening to push her to her breaking point when she felt his hand squeeze her shoulder gently. The tension that had swiftly been building in her body gradually began to loosen at the simple gesture.

The two men took a couple steps back reevaluating the situation. Glancing at each other the two seemed to come to a silent agreement as they turned their attention back to Fen. “Alright she's all yours. The girls not worth this kind of trouble anyways.” One spoke up before they both backed up a few more steps putting a little more distance between them and the fox before turning around and walking off disappearing back down the alleyway which they had come.

Lillian felt herself sagging back into the fox as the men disappeared from sight. She knew this wasn't over yet by any means but she couldn't help but feel some relief at the fact that the men were gone. The feeling of relief slowly began to fad again as she was brought back to the reality of the situation she was still in. As of now she didn't know exactly what the fox wanted in return for helping her and a part of her was afraid to ask. So she simply stayed silently where she was waiting for him to make the next move.

Fen quietly eyed the pair carefully as their suspicion and hostility gradually subsided. Being confident in his ability to take on the two, he was confident he could win hands down. After all, that was a common trait of most of his kind. Faster, stronger, and more sensitive to their surroundings, the only thing humans had over them was their ability to adapt and learn. Having stolen something called a mobile from a group of human gangsters, but had eventually discarded it in some unremembered alleyway, giving up on the machine as it just didn’t ‘work’ in his eyes. That wasn’t to say he was stupid, or impatient. It was just that electrical things emitted a constant irritating buzzing sound, and even from a distance he could feel the prickle of radiation being broadcasted from some nearby station.

Hearing the men respond and make their retreat, Fen snarled at the pair, baring his teeth viciously to discourage them from trying anything stupid. It was quite clear that the men hadn’t left out of concern for Lillian, and their attitude seemed to have changed dramatically from when they were searching fervently for the girl. There was the possibility that they’d given the girl up to the alpha male of the three, but something felt a bit off. A bit like they wanted him to have her.

Staying stock still even as the men disappeared from sight. Fen growled lowly, closing his golden eyes and focusing his senses outwards into the alley, just barely sensing the two men departing from the alleyway before disappearing from his range of hearing and smell. His senses instead focused on something much closer. The girl he was holding close to his chest stood just as still as him, not daring to move, though her reasons were probably far different from his. Plus, it wasn’t like he was going to complain, as warm as his fur managed to keep him, it couldn’t compare to the warmth of a human body, and not only was she warm but soft and silken to touch, a clear indicator of a human who hadn’t worked a single day of her life….. okay, that was probably an overstatement, but the expensive smell of soap and cleanliness, mingling with her natural scent was something that tickled his senses in a strange way. It was uncommon for Fen to come across someone of Lillian’s kind, and he couldn’t even remember the last time he’d touched a human girl. Most of the time it was too risky, and as far as Fen was concerened the risk of being recognized as a sexual predator wasn’t worth any human’s hide.

Slowly opening his eyes, he squeezed her gently one last time before releasing his hold on her, pushing her off his chest carefully and waiting to see if she’d scamper off like the ungrateful little runt most humans were…. Not that Fen wouldn’t be able to easily catch up to her. Fortunately for Lillian she seemed to have figured that much out, and didn’t do anything foolish.

“Lead the way” he mumbled, not too fond of the idea of being led by a human no matter how attractive she found her. The mere though was enough to bring a scowl to his face. The somewhat surprised or confused look on Lillian’s face doing nothing to change his mood. “Unless you want to stay here and wait for them to come back, I’m saying I’ll follow you until you’re certain you’re safe.” A slight tinge of red invisible in the dark on his white cheeks, he wasn’t used to acting like this and part of him was questioning why he’d bothered to meddle in the girls business in the first place. He eventually managed to convince himself that he just wanted to know where the girl lived so that he could call on her if he ever needed to.

“Or you could pay me here, and walk out of the alley, get captured a few minutes after and face whatever consequence it is those goons wanted….. which reminds me, what did they want from you anyway?” he asked narrowing his eyes. The suspicion towards the two men retreating being rekindled in his mind.

Lillian felt herself being pushed forward and away from the fox. He was surprisingly gentle with her considering she figured if he wanted to he could pick her up and throw her across the alleyway. Taking a couple steps forward she paused before turning around to face him. Sparkling green eyes peered up at him through the dark with hesitant curiosity.

She was dressed in a light powder blue sweater dress that judging by how soft the fabric was, was probably made out of cashmere. The fabric hugged at the delicate maturing curves of her body her long blonde hair flowing out around her. Grabbing her arm she hugged at herself feeling a slight chill as a breeze blew by. She blinked up at him a little surprised and confused by what he was saying. Lead the way? She had expected to start hearing the demands the second he had a chance but now it seemed he was offering to escort her home.

“No I'm sorry,” she quickly apologized not wanting to be left to her own defenses in the alley. She was to tired to run or fight at this point and all she wanted to do was go home. “I'm this way,” she said softly slowly heading off in the direction of her home. Her eyes trailed the ground as she walked still searching for her necklace which was pointless cause she couldn't see anything on the ground. “I'm not sure what they wanted...it could have been as simple as an attempt at kidnapping for ransom or it could have been for more personal needs...I didn't recognized either of them so I really couldn't tell you for sure.” she muttered softly.

After a few minutes of walking the streets with back alley's quickly faded into an expensive upscale neighborhood with giant houses and big oak trees lining the street on either side. “I never properly thanked you for helping me.” she said glancing over her shoulder at him. “My names Lillian.” Turning her attention forward she made a right into a driveway punching in a code before the large gates slowly opened. Heading forward she lead the way up to her home which would surely be described as a mansion.

Only when she had reached the front door did she turn to fully face Fen again. Her green eyes were tired from the nights long events but she held herself upright and proper as she stared up at him. “You're welcome to stay here tonight, I have plenty of guest rooms. Or you can come back in the morning and we can discuss what you deem fair compensation for helping me.” she offered. It would most likely be a bit confusing the way she talked, the young teen offering “her” guest bedrooms to him like she personally owned the house and not her parents. There were also no lights shining through any of the rooms which might lead one to believe that no one was home. But it was also considerably late so they could just be sleeping. It may have been foolish of her to offer to let him stay the night but the way she looked at it was if he wanted to hurt her he could have done so long ago.

Fen had to admit that he was mildly surprised by how trusting the girl seemed. Sure he’d just saved her from two bumbling men, but even then, Fen had expected the girl to at least show some reluctance. For a second he thought he saw some warmth in her jaded eyes, an appreciation towards not being left alone. But Fen concluded it was just her fear of being left alone being abated. She probably didn’t want to spend a second longer with him, since surely a girl like her had family. No normal girl could have afforded to walk around this late at night wearing something that looked so expensive. Furthermore, Fen was convinced that Lillian was taken. Most likely by some ugly little human male that had no idea what he had.

“You seem awfully calm for someone who just got chased down by strangers… common occurrence?” he asked casually, quietly following behind her, careful to keep a fair distance from her just in case she felt intimidated by his presence. He had no idea why he was being so careful with the human. She was just some stupid girl he’d come across late at night, and whether she got raped or killed on her way home shouldn’t have bothered him at all. “No need for thanks, I’ll be taking my due payment” he grumbled, scowling to hide his discomfort. He could count the number of times he’d been thanked on one hand over the past twenty something years. Though that wasn’t really surprising seeing as how he usually didn’t interact this much with humans, nevermind actually doing something worth their gratitude.

He only grunted is acknowledgement at hearing her name. Figuring the girl didn’t really care to know his. Even if Lillian had asked for it Fen probably would have refused. And hence if there was a cue to respond in the remark it went untouched. His name wasn’t all that secretive in his opinion, and he could probably be identified as the only fox furry in the area. But there was no point in making Lillian’s job easier and giving her a name to identify him if she planned to hand him over to authorities under false charges. After all, he’d seen and heard of plenty of cases where humans lied and betrayed eachother.

Lost in thought, he hadn’t really been paying too much attention to their surroundings as he walked, somewhat surprised when they came to a lone solitary mansion. A rather notable front entrance, and a fair bit of distance between the mansion and any other residential building, if Fen wanted, he could probably torture the girl to death slowly and her screams wouldn’t be picked up by her neighbourhood. He wished the same thing could be said about the girls parents, which he assumed were naively tucked away in bed, completely oblivious to the fact their daughter wasn’t even home.

Fen actually took a step back as they reached the front door, and Lillian offered to let him stay the night. His golden eyes widening in bewilderment for a second before narrowing slightly and glaring at her suspiciously. He should have been suspicious the moment she accepted his offer, but it had taken until now for him to realize how friendly the girl seemed to be getting. There was always the possibility that she thought a night at her needlessly large estate would be compensation enough, but for some reason Fen doubted that.

A low rumble emitted from the back of his throat as he leapt forward, piercing the air with his hand before swishing past Lillian’s head, and slamming on the front door behind her. “You must be stupid” he growled, annoyed without really knowing why. “I save you cute hide once and you’re offering to let me stay the night? If you weren’t so senseless you probably wouldn’t have needed saving tonight.” His face dangerously close to hers, he could literally hear her heart beating, and her warm pleasantly scented breath breathing directly against his muzzle. The pleasant sensation causing him to flinch before grinning lewdly. “Or are you doing it intentionally? Surely even a girl like you realize what you’re offering by asking me if I want to stay a night?” his tone was soft but dangerous, his free hand sneaking out and trailing along her shoulder, feeling her arm more sensually this time, it wasn’t a grab or squeeze, but a slow trailing sensual touch that was feeling her up.

Lillian had avoided the question about if it was a common occurrence for her to be chased. No one knew about her other close call with an attempt at being kidnapped and she wanted to keep it that way. The other experience hadn't been nearly as close of a call as this one tho and had happened almost three months ago. Lillian was just good at handling stressful situations was all. She did however pick up on his slight discomfort at her thanks but decided it was probably best not to bring attention to it. If he could have his secrets then so could she.

Lillian was taken aback by his sudden reaction to her offer to let him stay the night. A number of emotions flashed across his face shifting from seemingly relaxed, to bewildered and shocked, to what looked like out right pissed off. She didn't understand what she might have done to anger or offend him but clearly he wasn't happy which instantly put her on edge.

His movements were so fast she didn't even have time to react as she flinched back against the door as his fist flew past her face slamming into the wood behind her. The fear and panic that had finally begun to subside was back in full swing as her heart raced wildly in her chest.

Lillian shivered slightly as Fen's hand slid down her arm, caressing her through the soft fabric of her dress. A sudden anger built inside her chest, tears of frustration springing to her eyes. She had, had enough of this. Swatting away his hand angrily dewy green eyes glared up at him. “I offered to let you use one of my guest rooms not to share my bed!” she snapped.

“I've had it with all you greedy selfish bastards. You want a reward fine, name your price! What's it gonna be? Ten thousand? One hundred thousand? A million? Fine! Want my house?! Here are the keys!” She screamed throwing the set of keys against his chest. Six months of pent up anger and frustration had just been let loose and probably on one of the most unsuspecting people.

Panting out of breath from all her yelling, her cheeks flushed red with anger, Lillian was the perfect example of a hot mess. When one actually paid attention and looked at her they might notice the dark smudges on her pale colored dress from the grime off the alleyway walls. Or that her long blonde hair was tangled and matted in a few places and that she actually wasn't even wearing any shoes most likely having had to ditch them during her run from the two men. But despite all this she still managed to remain impeccably beautiful.

Fen had to hold himself back from smacking Lillian across the face when she swatted his hand away. Technically he’d propelled the girl into a frenzy, but in the heat of the moment he intentionally ignored the fact, simply focusing on the part where the girl he’d saved had rudely pushed him away and begun mouthing off at him like he was the source of all her woes. But even then he remained still, taking a few steps back and glaring at him and shouting ridiculous sums of money, Fen had never held a bank account in his life, most anthro’s weren’t even legally able to. And not being one for human clothes, he had no wallet of pocket to shove the cash in. How much was a million dollars anyway? A handful? A bucketful? Or maybe a cardboard box? And even if he did accept the monetary offering he’d probably be accused of theft and jailed for it. Furthermore he had no use for human money beside the possibility of never going hungry again.

Listening to her rugged breathing as she finally quietened down, Fen lent over, picking the keys she’d hurled at him off the ground and holding them between his paws and staring at the scraps of metal before letting out a sigh. Focusing his eyes on Lillian once more, her skin seeming to glow in the moonlight, Fen had never felt any sense of appreciation towards fancy clothes, but had to admit that they could look good on the right person. A smudge? a crease? A tear? It only made her seem more approachable the messier she was, and that had been one of the reason Fen had opted to save her in the first place.

“You think I want your filthy money?” Fen growled, taking a step towards her once more. A dangerous insane glimmer in his eyes as he took another step, bearing over her like some common street thug. “You think I want you stupid house?!” he asked raising his voice to match the loudness Lillian had projected earlier. “I was just saying you shouldn’t be so trusting of strangers, guest room? You think a flimsy door would stop someone like me from barging into your bedroom while you slept? You really think letting a furry into your house is a riskless act?”

Shoving the keys against Lillian’s breasts, he roughly grabbed her hand and placed them over the keys. “Only payment I’m willing to take is your body…. But seeing as how you’re not willing to give me that, I’ll put it on your tab” he grunted spinning around and slapping his tail against her legs. “Your body’s mine, and I fully intended to claim it if we ever cross paths again. Until then you’re not to defile yourself with any puny human male…. And that means no wandering around dark dangerous alleys by yourself. If you’ve got any objections strip yourself and I’ll take you here and now.”

Taking a few strides away, he stopped, glancing back at Lillian clearly frustrated. “I’m kidding, Take care of yourself” he muttered grumpily before scampering off into the night. A hint of regret in his last words. He probably could have parted on more peaceful terms had he played his cards better. Hell, he could have pushed her up against the front door and made her scream. But something about her eyes had captivated him. Females were nothing more than a sexual outlet for him. Human women in particular hadn’t even been worth a second glance. But something about Lillian had sparked a mixture of desire and lust in him that made him yearn for something more intimate. He didn’t want to see the girl hurt, and her tears when she’d yelled at him had stung him more than he cared to admit.

Lillian stood tall as he stepped towards her, her anger giving her courage as he towered over her. Surely a part of her had gone insane. Yelling at a strange male anthro that seemed a little mentally unstable himself with all his mood swings was just plain stupid. But she was past being smart. She had spent the last 6 months sense her parents deaths being the mature grown up young lady that she needed to be and frankly right now she wanted to act like nothing more than the 16 year old girl that she was.

Despite her foolish bravery she couldn't stop the slight flinch that tensed the muscles in her body as he raised his voice at her. Of course she knew a locked door wouldn't stop him should he want to get to her but she had figured if he hadn't hurt her so far then he probably wasn't going to and frankly a big part of her was lonely. Sense her parents deaths Lillian had been the only person sleeping in this great big house. Of course people had offered to stay with her but they had all been after her money and she didn't want any of them around. Didn't trust them. Funny huh, how she trusted a strange male fox anthro more then humans she knew. It wasn't really trust though was it, it was desperation. Despite how well she had seemed to handle everything the events of tonight had shaken her to her core and the idea of being alone in this house tonight not only scared her but made the loneliness that she had chosen to ignore ache in the center of her chest.

Her fingers wrapped tightly around the keys as his paw like hand forced her small hand over them. So he wanted her body as payment? But he said he was putting it on her tab cause she wasn't willing so that meant he wasn't going to force. But then what did he want for payment in exchange for helping her if not money and her not being willing to let him have her body. Lillian was a virgin and the idea of trading that as a reward for him helping her felt too much like a whorish act which really wasn't how she wanted her first time to be and with an anthro? She hadn't even imagined that especially considering it was illegal.

Now he was definitely staking claim on her body though but that last part almost sounded protective like he cared for her well being. She felt so confused by everything he said like she was getting whiplash by his swiftly changing emotions. The male was absolutely impossible to read.

She stood their and stared at him as he walked away, absolutely dumbfounded. Just kidding take care of yourself? What kind of person joked like that?! She felt the full force of her exhaustion hit her as he disappeared from sight. Turning around now that he was gone she unlocked the door wandering inside before locking it back up. Totally empty was how she felt as she wandered up the stairs heading into her room. She didn't feel scared or angry or even sad anymore she simply felt exhausted. Stripping out of her clothes she crawled beneath the satin sheets quickly fading to sleep her last thought being of the strange emotional fox which had saved her and wondering if she really would see him again.

Not really having any objective or goal in mind, the brown furred fox stalked silently through the alleys. The little encounter with the strange blond human had knocked him several hours behind schedule and he figured that the normal restaurant he visited would be as bare as a bone by now. Fen of course wasn’t a legitimate customer, hell he had no money and he was pretty sure the store was strictly off limits to creatures like himself. The food he ate was the ones mashed together in crumpled plastic takeaway containers, the leftover meals that couldn’t be sold in the upcoming day due to expiration. The food was still good in Fen’s eyes, and he couldn’t understand it too well. He’d heard someone expressing sentiments once and the other guy had said something about retail laws, hygiene and quality of food. But it sounded like human bogus to him.

Figuring that one night without eating wouldn’t kill him he continued wandering the streets, hoping to catch glimpse or whiff of something edible, he smirked at what Lillian would say if she saw him now. An animal? Scavenger? Whatever it was it wasn’t really something he’d take offensively. He didn’t even know why he was still thinking about the girl. She had probably forgotten he existed already, and not in a million years would he expect her to be conjuring him up again in her dreams.

It must have been his idle thoughts of her that led him back to the same alley he’d found her. A faint scent, barely noticeable trailing through the air towards him, his brow immediately furrowed in disapproval. His mind briefly suspecting Lillian to be back in the alley, if she was back here again she really was a complete dunce, but after the initial surge of irritation he realized that the scent in the air was a bit too frail to be that of a human girl. Perhaps a forgotten shoe, or a sweat soaked scrap of her garment? Either way it couldn’t have been anything important, and yet he felt he had to go in there. He had no use for human clothing, but the realization that he’d blown his chance, and would never see Lillian again somehow stung his stubborn mind. Quite frankly he hadn’t spoken this much to a human in his entire life. The most he ever gave them was a feral growl or a blunt “Get lost” and seeing as how his own kind were few and inbetween, his social skills weren’t exactly top-notch. All he’d wanted to say to Lillian was to be more careful, but he didn’t think he had the right to be protective over her, and even if he did, he doubted Lillian would listen to some complete stranger she’d met on the streets. Frustrated he scowled at a pile of black plastic bag piled ontop of eachother, only now realizing that he’d been searching for the fragment of Lillian on auto-pilot, it only took a few more seconds before he noticed a glint of metal which he quickly snatched up and held to his snout. “Must belong to her….” He mumbled, squeezing the necklace inbetween his paws, wondering if he should return it.

It was a pretty little thing, but considering how Lillian could offer him a million dollars, it was a petty thing he doubt she’d miss. She’d probably just shrug it off and buy a replacement before the sun set tomorrow, and the thought sort of made him grow a bit sympathetic towards the small trinket as he figured he too would be forgotten. “You’re a bit too fancy for my tastes but I guess you wouldn’t be too annoying to keep around” he smirked at the necklace, placing it around his neck, he fiddled with the hook for a few seconds, before finally managing to clip it in place. The heart shaped accessory dangling from his neck and resting comfortably over his chest. He considered taking it off, but it wasn’t like he could wear it anywhere else, and tossing it away again was out of the question. For the first time in years he’d picked up something and made it his. “Hmph, guess she wasn’t a complete waste of time after all….” He mumbled, turning his head upward to the night sky and wondering what Lillian was dreaming about right now.

Lillian was back in the alleyways. She hadn't been able to sleep knowing her mothers necklace was out there waiting for some random stranger to pick it up. This time she had been smart enough to bring a flashlight so she could see in the darkness. Hearing a noice behind her she turned around quickly, the flashlight clattering to the ground at the sudden appearance of the fox anthro who was stading no more then a foot away from her. “I told you the next time we crossed paths I would be claiming my reward. You should have stayed home.” he growled, moving forward and forcing her back against the wall. One of his hands gripped her arm keeping her from escaping should she try to run, his other hand trailing up and down her arm seductively. The feeling of his hand moving from her arm to her waist slowly making its way down to her hips sent a chill up her spine. The feeling of his hot breath flowing over the sensitive skin of her neck making her shiver. She couldn't speak, could barely breath. Why wasn't she resisting this. What was this feeling?

Lillian woke with a slight start sitting up in bed her cheeks flushed red and feeling a bit out of breath. Trying to shake the confusing uneasy feeling the dream had left her with she made her way to her bathroom for a shower. The light of dawn was just starting to turn the sky gray outside her window so she needed to hurry if she wanted to be there at first light to look for the necklace.

Hurrying out the front door she quickly locked up the house before making her way back to the alleys. She was dressed more casually today wearing a pair of well fitted jeans and a form fitting t-shirt finished off with a pair of running shoes. It was morning now and the chances of someone trying to kidnap or attack her were greatly lessened but it was still early so there probably weren't a lot of people about hence the running shoes. Her long blonde hair twisted in a thick braid that lay over her left shoulder.

Now in the mazes of the back alleys of downtown she did her best to retrace her steps looking in every corner and pile of junk for the shiny gold heart. She made sure to keep the panic of never finding the necklace far from her mind. No point in freaking out yet. She would spend all day looking for it if she had to and if she couldn't find it then she would start looking at all the local pawnshops and even putting up posters for it if she had to.

Fen thought it was his imagination when he stirred from his sleep to sense a familiar presence not too far away. His body a bit chilled from sleeping out in the cold morning, he let out an irritated growl at whatever had disturbed his slumber at first. His brow only furrowing upon recognizing the presence as someone he’d only met a few hours ago. Part of him told him that it couldn’t possibly be Lillisn, it was far too early, and not even the blond could be stupid enough to be back so soon after last night. Which meant it really was his imagination, a mistake, or…..

Sighing loudly and getting to his feet, his travelled down the alley, it wasn’t the same one he’d met Lillian in, but the closer he got, the more certain he became, and while the scowl on his muzzle never disappeared, he could hide the slight excitement that was building inside his chest. It made no sense for Lillian to want to see him again, but having completely forgotten about the necklace dangling from his neck he couldn’t think of any other reason she’d be back. And he was pretty certain he’d made it clear what he’d demand of her if they ever met again.

It took no longer than a minute before he caught up to the girl. There was no mistaking the long blond hair from where Fen was standing, and more than anything her scent was a dead give away. “Idiot” he grumbled silently, trying to bury the slight flutter in his chest by seeming annoyed. Lillian seemed to be completely focused on whatever it was she was doing and still hadn’t realized Fen watching her. Whatever it was she was doing she was definitely engrossed in the act, and even once Fen started making his way silently towards her, Lillian’s remained oblivious, her head turned downaward as she scanned the floor for her prized possession.

When she finally did realize someone nearby it was too late, a swift firm hand wrapping around her waist and shoulders and pulling her into an embrace from behind. The foxes head sliding over her shoulders. “Good morning Lillian, fancy seeing you again” he whispered, sounding a lot calmer than he actually was, he could feel his heart beating, inside his chest, and his chilled body immediately began warming up upon making contact with Lillian’s back. “Your dress was nice but you look prettier today, special occasion?” he chuckled, holding her firmly enough to not hurt her, but firmly enough to lock her in place, he didn’t want to see her face…. If he saw her tearful eyes again he might chicken out again and tell her to get lost. He didn’t want that this time. He’d given her fair warning, and she’d ignored it. Which meant now…. She was his.

Lillian was completely absorbed in her search for the necklace being completely oblivious to anything going on around her. At first she had been a little more cautious, glancing over her shoulder checking her surroundings every now and then and listening for anyone approaching her. Her cautious state had quickly diminished all of her attention focused on the task at had which was finding that necklace.

She had been completely unaware of Fen's approach not that it was really fair considering how silently he could move around. Lillian screamed out in surprise as strong arms wrapped around her from behind pulling her into an inescapable hold. She was sure that her heart was going to break free of her chest with the way it raced wildly behind her ribcage. Recognizing the familiar voice and the brownish fur surrounding her that could only belong to one person she felt and instant wave of relief calming her panic a bit.

“Don't sneak up on me like that! You're going to give me a heart attack.” she snapped. She could feel the heat of her blush in her cheeks as he held her firmly against his body giving her instant flashbacks of her strange dream last night. The compliment he gave her wasn't helping the situation or her blush either. Her delicate features set in a firm scowl which was anything but threatening. It just wasn't possible for such a pretty face to look mean or scary.

“No occasion. I'm looking for something I lost last night so if you wouldn't mind letting me go I'd like to keep looking.” she responded unable to see the necklace which she was so desperately searching for dangling around his neck. She really shouldn't feel so relaxed around him but he hadn't done anything to harm her last night only helping save her and he also seemed to be in a better mood this morning so why worry.

The fox winced a bit when she let out a loud shout of surprise, his sensitive ears amplifying the sound so that it was much louder in his mind than it actually was. His mood immediately began to sour, his sluggish morning mind not too approving of the disturbance, but that too was quickly swept away as Lillian snapped at him to not sneak up on her. In all honesty he’d expected her to be disgusted or angry, to demand he get his ‘filthy paws’ off her, or some other demeaning demand that would seem senselessly harsh in his eyes. Instead though Lillian seemed to relax, and the heat radiating off her face coupled with the tinge of red on her cheeks was enough to make Fen’s heart skip a beat. His arousal escalating in his mind as he started seeing it as an ‘okay’ sign towards what he wanted to do to the girl.

Sliding his hand down her hips and along her thighs, he grabbed playfully at her inner thigh, cupping it with his paws and rubbing it sensually in a way that was undoubtedly sexual, while rubbing the side of his face against her neck affectionately. “I did say I’d claim your body if I ever saw you again didn’t I?” he whispered, his other hand shifting off her shoulder and trailing along her collarbone before snaking upwards along her chin, and over her lips. Brushing against them gently as if he was dealing with something extremely fragile. “You have no idea how good you look, I tried so hard to let you off last night, and here you are infront of me, tempting me once again, I told you not to wander around by yourself, and you decided to completely ignore me, returning first thing in the morning, what am I supposed to think of that Lillian?”

Feeling his body temperature rocketing up by the second, his breathing had become hard and desperate as well, a rugged panting that sounded like he’d just finished a sprint. Unseen to Lillian he was squeezing his own thighs together, trying to prevent his cock from extending anymore than the slight hardness that was barely noticeable. He knew the sight of it would scare Lillian, and wanted to dampen the fear as much as he could for her.

Lowering his thumb to her chin and lifting her head up a bit, he brushed his own lips against her neck. “You owe me Lillian” he stated simply, re-enforcing his message while also validating his action in his own mind. "You can look for whatever it is you're looking for after this can't you? I might even be willing to help you out if you cooperate?" he offered.

Lillian felt her light blush go full on scarlet red as Fen slid his paw like hand down her hips squeezing and rubbing at her inner thigh in a way that was far to sexual for her to feel calm and comfortable anymore. The fur that covered his cheek and muzzle felt so soft against the bare skin of her neck as he nuzzled against her. Lillian's mind was absolutely spinning with everything that was happening. What was happening was bad, very bad, no worse then bad it was illegal! But the feeling of his paws rubbing over her body sent delicious chills throughout her.

He was so gentle as his fingers trailed across her slightly quivering lips. This hadn't been her intention. She hadn't meant to tempt him as he said. She hadn't even expected to see him again, she simply wanted to find her mothers necklace. “I-I'm sorry,” she apologized her voice shaking slightly with something that was different from fear. “I needed to look for my necklace before someone else found it. It's daytime so I'm not at risk like last night.” she explained. Her response was foolish however considering the position she was in right now.

She could hear his breathing change, becoming more labored like he was struggling to keep control. The panting sound reminding her that this wasn't a human male she was dealing with, this was an anthro and she actually knew very little about them. Biting her lower lip she closed her eyes struggling to think straight as his lips brushed against the sensitive skin of her neck. This was wrong and even worse it was against the law and if the rumors were true had the potential to make her ill with some unknown sickness.

Lillian owed him sure but she hadn't signed up for this kind of payment. In the past she had, had a boyfriend or two having made out and fooled around a little bit but nothing ever went far. What she couldn't understand was why the simple touches of this strange male felt so much different...better then anything she had ever experienced with her ex's. “I-I can't. What if you make me sick? I'll pay you whatever you want for your reward.” Reaching down she grabbed hold of the hand that was on her leg trying to stop it from the sensual stroking that was making her brain fuzzy.

Fen blinked dumbly at her response, not having expected an apology out of all things, Lillian had once again succeeded in surprising him. Though the referral to the necklace suddenly reminded him of the little trinket hanging from his own neck. A spurt of jealousy splatter inside his mind towards the object, she’d come to find it, not him. But despite his envy, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of appreciation towards the necklace from bringing Lillian to him again. A second chance which he hadn’t anticipated, if he blew his chance off this time, he was sure he’d never see the girl again, and that…. Was somehow unbearable.

Her next comment actually made him growl a bit angrily, Fen hadn’t really paid attention to human rumors and didn’t know about the theory that mating between species would lead to illness. So in his ears it sounded like Lillian was accusing him of being filthy and unworthy. His paws pressed into her a bit roughly as she tried to pull his hand away, but Fen managed to calm himself down, taking a deep breath and letting her pull his hand away. A hurt spark in his golden eyes which Lillian would never see.

“I already told you that the only payment I want is you” he restated lifting his removed hand to her shoulders and giving her one last squeeze before reluctantly letting her go. Pushing her gently away from his body, his heated breath already calming from the disappointment towards Lillian’s response. He didn’t know anything about human circumstances, but if there were consequences on the furry side, he assumed there was some sort of demotivator for the human side as well.

“Fine, have it your way.” He scoffed, clearly upset with her, his arms folded as he leaned back against a nearby wall. “If I can’t have you, then I’ll keep this” he stated placing two fingers around the heart shaped pendant. Lifting it up a bit for Lillian to see, though keeping enough distance to prevent her from snatching it off him. “You said whatever I want, so I’ll take this” he stated hesitantly, feeling like he was getting ripped off. “If I have this at least you’ll think about me…. it’s only fair seeing as how you won’t leave my mind” he mumbled unclearly, not really intending for Lillian to understand his remark. He hadn’t even really realized he’d said it out aloud.

Lillian felt fearful for a moment his deep growl and suddenly rough touch startling her as he resisted having his hand moved away. She wasn't sure she could ever get use to his drastic mood swings as he went yet again from angry to calm faster then she could react. His voice sounded disappointed and almost hurt as he gently pushed her away causing a new wave of confusion to wash over her.

Turning around she faced him unable to come even close to understanding this strange creature. There were certain parts to him that made him seem so human yet other parts were so much like an animal. It was all very confusing and made her head hurt. It upset her that she wasn't able to reward him for all the help he had given her but at the same time he was practically a stranger.

Her heart lept as her green eyes locked on the necklace around his neck. Her excitement was quickly snuffed out though as he told her he would be keeping it as his reward. The necklace was everything to her and the thought of loosing it forever was something Lillian just couldn't accept. His comment about her having to think of him and her not leaving his mind was even more confusing but she brushed the odd rambling from her mind struggling with how much the necklace was worth to her.

“How far would we have to go?” she mumbled quietly, struggling with the idea of exactly what she was doing. “I'm not willing to risk falling ill and being quarantined from sleeping with an anthro.” she stated staring down at the ground unable to look at him right now. “I don't even know your name.” she muttered softly clearly embarrassed about talking about this kind of thing which might hint at how inexperienced she was.

Fen really had no idea why he was being so emotional with the girl, like Lillian he himself was a bit perplexed by his constantly changing emotions, there was just something about Lillian that prevented him from staying mad for too long. Lillian had treated him better than most humans he’d come across, and he’d be lying if he said he consider the girl as a stranger. As far as he was concerned he’d saved her from something life threatening, and therefore her life belonged to him. He’d always been a bit possessive when it came to ownership. On the flipside there was very little he actually owned, but the things he did….. well he’d go to extreme length to maintain possession over them.

Not knowing the sentimental value Lillian had towards the necklace, Fen figured she’d just hand the trinket over and their transaction would be complete, but apparently he was wrong yet again, and Lillian was actually considering actually selling herself to get the necklace back. Surprised and completely taken aback, he lifted the heart up off his chest with a paw, looking it over carefully to see if it was somehow more valuable than he’d initially perceived it as, but no matter how he looked at it, it was nothing more than a ring of metal bent in a peculiar, but appealing fashion. He didn’t really have anything preventing from giving it up. Part of him was even considering giving it back without receiving payment, but a small voice in his mind reminded him that the necklace was the only thing linking him and the girl together right now. Unless of course Lillian frequently wandered the alleys as a hobby or something…. Yeah, that was going to be a likely scenario.

His ears flattened this time, and his eyes narrowed. Expressing open hostility for the first time, he’d tried to brush off his earlier conclusion as him making assumptions, but her latest comment sounded harsher than Lillian probably cared to realize. Of course, it was common sense to Lillian due to the rumors, but to someone who’d secluded himself from human gossip, it sounded nothing short of a direct insult. “Well I’m sorry for being a filthy anthro” he snapped, “If a bit of fur is such a big deal for you than maybe I should have just let those men take you away last night. At least then you wouldn’t have to put up with a filthy anthro.”

Upon hearing her ask how far they’d have to go, he’d gotten a bit hopeful, only to have his hope crushed immediately after by her words. Snarling at her viciously, he grabbed at the metal heart. Intending to rip it off his neck to hurl it at Lillian…. But a scowl later, he released his hand, unable to unhand it due to his earlier decision to make it his. As mentioned earlier he’d always been a bit possessive of his belongings. “Forget it, you clearly don’t want me around, and I’m not going to stand around and listen to you talk to me like I’m some infectious virus. Though you were different, but all you humans are the same, I’m sorry for polluting your precious air princess.” He spat, swishing around and taking a few heavy steps away from Lillian. He felt awkward, not having spoken that much, nor expressed so much raw emotion for as long as he could remember. He heard her request for a name, but didn’t feel a need to respond, they wouldn’t be seeing eachother for sure after this, and he didn’t really feel like giving her name after being told that him being intimate with her was something she perceived as life threatening.

....... So much for not being able to get upset at her.

Lillian waited in painful anticipation as Fen lifted the necklace examining the gold heart more closely. What if her didn't trade and this was all just some sort of cruel mind game? Money clearly wasn't of interest to him so why would he want the necklace other then to mess with her head. It was odd but he seemed slightly possessive over it with the way he held it, keeping it secure and safe should she try to take it, not that she would dare. He didn't seem to want to hurt her but she had also seen how short of a temper he had and trying to take something from him against his will seemed like I bad idea all around.

Lillian took a step back fearful by his sudden clear hostility towards her. The things he snapped at her made no sense. She hadn't said she was disgusted by him or that he was dirty. So where was all this anger coming from? Then it all started to make some sense. If the rumors weren't true about anthros making humans sick when mated or if Fen had flat out not even heard of the rumors which seemed unlikely but still possible then that would explain his sudden anger. Without knowing the details of the rumors it would sound like by her saying she didn't want to get sick from being intimate with him that she was indeed calling him filthy and polluted.

Panic rushed to her chest as he turned around walking away from her. If she didn't stop him now she'd never be able to catch him and would likely never see him again either. Running into him a second time had been unlikely but a third time was just plain improbable. With how angry he was she doubted he'd simply listen to what she had to say.

Rushing forward she wrapped her arms around his waist holding onto him tightly from behind, her body pressed firmly against his back. “I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that. You misunderstood. We're told that if a female human is intimate with a male anthro that they become sick and are forced to be quarantined and these female have never been seen again. It's against the law for me to do what you're ask.” she explained in a quick panic holding onto him tightly should he try and push her away.

Fen actually gasped in surprise when he felt soft hands wrap around his waist, embracing him tightly, it’d been years since he’d received such actions from anyone, nevermind a human girl. He kept trying to remind himself that she was only doing it for the necklace, but even then he could feel his anger being drained away. The small spark of hope that he’d misunderstood her flaring up inside him as she began explaining. He wanted to confirm if she really didn’t find him disgusting, but asking such a personal question was not only embarrassing but also quite inappropriate.

“I don’t care about your human laws” he grumbled, still somewhat annoyed, but also faking a bit of his contempt for the girl to hide how fast his heart was pounding in his chest. He’d thought the same thing every time he’d made physical contact with Lillian, but her body really did feel amazing, now that he thought about it, he’d probably been enchanted by her body the first time he’d wrapped his arms around her last night to threaten the two men.

“It’s not like you can be arrested for things only the two of us know about, and…. And if your against me being inside you I won't..... put it in....” he reluctantly stated, surely a bit of contact between their bodies could get her sick? As long as she didn't ingest anything from him, her claim would fall flat.... though frankly he really didn't like the idea of not being able to place himself inside her. He knew he was clutching at straws now, but he was hoping if he could at least carry over his desire into something tangible, Lillian would open up bit by bit until finally allowing him to mate her.

“Plus, it won’t kill you if it’s just once…. I….. I’ve mated a human woman before and she’s still alive and kicking….” He scowled, not wanting to remember the whorish woman who’d come on to him several years ago. A housewife that had gotten drunk after a night out with friends, who’d offered to pay him for a single night. Normally Fen wouldn’t have accepted, but he was young back then and sexual frustrated. It wasn’t like he’d lose anything in the transaction so he’d agreed.

Placing an assuring hand on hers, he frowned but allowed her to keep hugging him. “I’ll stop if you start feeling sick, and even if you do, I’ll stick around and…. Look after you until you’re better.”

Lillians brows furrowed in a slight frown, her face still hidden from Fen sense she still had her arms securely wrapped around him from behind. Sure he might not care about human laws but they were still laws and if they got caught it could mean serious trouble for her. Not to mention this wasn't exactly how she pictured losing her virginity.

Cheeks turning a flaming red she now continued holding onto him not out of fear but to prevent him from seeing her brightly blushing face. How could he so easily talk about things like this without getting embarrassed. But if he meant what he said and he didn't “put it in” as he said then that would solve two of her problems. She wouldn't have to worry about getting sick or losing her virginity to a stranger as pay back for helping her.

Surely just a little fooling around couldn't hurt. All she has to do is get him off so he's satisfied and then her debt would be paid and she could get her mothers necklace back. The mention of him having mated a human woman before did peek her interest. It could mean a couple things. He could simply be lying and just trying to sleep with her not caring what happens to her after. It could also mean that some women have an immunity to whatever makes them sick or that the rumors are flat out false and something the government uses to keep women from sleeping with anthro's. But why?

Lillian chewed on her lower lip thinking about everything he said. Letting go of him she took a few steps back giving him space to turn around. “Ok but we should go back to my house. I don't want to risk someone seeing anything and my place is pretty secure.” she replied softly.
