Helen sighed in relief as he put his sweater over her and carried her into the house. She was still shivering and by now, his shirt was soaked as well, but she meekly nodded under his command and took off the shirt as she went to sit by the fire, slowly warming up as she swallowed hard. Regret and guilt still tumbled around in her mind as her lower lip quivered and tears slipped down her face, followed by a quiet sob. She looked up, accepting the blanket as she wrapped it around herself and looked up at Aeric, hearing his words as another quiet sob left her and then she managed to speak, "I.....I didn't want to, I......I was angry, I....I never meant to drown him, just teach him...him a lesson......I didn't want to......I didn't know what I was doing, I was angry." Another sob left her as she cried for a few moments before she spoke again, "I don't want to go to jail......please.....I don't want to be put on death row, please.....please just let me stay here....."
