David's arms stayed tightly wrapped around her. "of course...i won't ever leave you..." he replied, rubbing her back gently.
 
She had smiled softly, kissing his neck softly. "Thank you." The words came softly, sweetly now. "For being here."
 
"i will always be here..." he said softly, kissing her cheek gently. "for you, i'd do anything..."
 
David was surprised at the question, but after a moment, nodded. "if it makes you happy, i would make love to you anytime."
 
She had blushed a little but smiled all the same. "I... trust you." Her words were soft, her touch gentle on his chest. "I mean... not tonight perhaps... but some day." She paused then added. "Someday soon." She needed to heal first, then maybe she'd be able to let him in. She wanted to.
 
he kissed her cheek yet again. "i would wait years for you Alex...i don't want you to feel pressured by my wants and needs."
 
"you ran for me." he joked, closing his eyes slowly. "would you like to sit, or lay down maybe? or would that hurt?"
 
"alright." he smiled, and knelt down, quickly sweeping her off her feet. "let's go." smiling, he carried her to the bed, laid her gently on the bed, and joined her on the other side.
 
"well, i just think you should be treated like a queen." he said, wrapping his arms around her.
