Maka
Maka ran the brush through her hair pulling out a knot; she ran it through her hair a few more times before setting the brush down. She stared at her reflection for a long while in silence. "it still feels so surreal..." she thought looking down into the sink. She sometimes felt like the world around her might melt away and she'd awaken to find Asura staring at her. With a small little shiver she shook her head ridding herself of the imagery. She needed to stop thinking about it, it happened six year ago, they had won and now; now she was a married woman. Married to her partner and a Deathscythe, Soul. A small smile flitted across her face as she remembered their wedding ceremony. She was on her honeymoon and they were traveling around the world with someone elses money. It was fantastic.
Maka tightened the towel around her slender frame and looked out the bathroom door to the back porch where her husband was. "My husband..." she thought not for the first time. She felt the familiar surge of happiness and feminine pride well up in her breast. In the six years since Asura's demise, Maka and grown a little. Her chest had filled out a little more [admittedly not a whole lot but a little.] and she now had a slight flare to her hips but nothing would ever be able to dispel her naturally lithe and slender body. With a little shrug she walked out of the bathroom and into their bedroom. She tossed the towel onto the bed and pulled a white tank-top over her head. Leaning over she pulled on some khaki colored shorts which clung to her hips and slipped her feet into some flip-flops and walked out to the back porch and leaned against the frame. She glanced at Soul and smiled again, she knew he didn't overly like traveling and it made it mean that much more to her that he was just for her. She knew Soul would be faithful to her, he wouldn't be like her papa.
Maka's smile widened "To much for you huh?" she said laughing a little. Pushing herself away from the door she walked over to the reclining chair he was sitting in. Swinging her leg over the other side she straddled Soul and sat in his lap. She flushed a little and ran her fingers through his hair "Should I take pity on you?" she murmured leaning her forehead against his her arms now draped around his shoulders. She stared at soul for a long moment "Ah, I suppose we could relax for today. You've earned it." she said tilting her head back laughing softly. Standing up she sat down on the edge of his chair "Since I'm putting my plans for us on hold for today, tell me Soul; Are we just going to sit out here on the porch all day? she said turning her head to look at Soul.
It was madness that she could be sitting out on a porch over looking the ocean with a warm breeze washing over her skin. Madness that she was in a picturesque setting with her husband just having fun after everything that had happened to them. Perhaps it was because of everything they had gone through that had strengthened their bonds. She didn't really know but she couldn't shake the feeling that things had ended to....cleanly. At first she thought the feeling was just excess adrenaline and madness that had coursed through her system during the battle but as the years wore on she didn't know quite what to attribute the feeling too. "I'm just being paranoid...." she thought absently.
Resting her head in her hands she quirked a brow "So?" she queried. Maka didn't really know if she'd be able to do the whole sitting and relaxing all day; she was far more active than soul was but if he could put up with her energy she could deal with chilling for a day. How hard could it be?
