Logan had always been fairly good at reading people and Asuka wasn't hiding her dislike of this situation any better than she had hid her sub-conscious attraction to the ale ganger minutes earlier. Even though Logan knew that Asuka wouldn't even really notice the clothed wires around her leg once she grew used to it, it still would not sit well with Logan to have her mope about something so simple and necessary. The gentleman inside of his rough and ragged soul would not allow him to just brush her uneasiness away and forget it.
When Logan erected himself, he stepped behind Asuka and wrapped his arms around the mid-section of her small frame. The ganger's embrace was firm, to say the least, but it was not rough or harsh. He held her tightly and pulled her body back against his with a strength that would not allow her to pull herself free, but that was all that he did. He simply held her and he would not let her go if she tried to escape him.
"Please do not allow these precautions to tarnish the relationship that we have started building," Logan whispered into Asuka's ear with a gentle tone that contradicted his firm hold upon her form. "Though I will treat you with the same respect that I would offer a guest in my home while we are here, it does not change that you have a close relationship with a man whom is currently an enemy of my family - moreso now than ever since Roselyn saw fit to kidnap you. Can you honestly look me in the eye and tell me that you would not try to slip away from me and return to your brother if given the chance?"
No matter how much that Asuka might hate the fact that Logan had just strapped what could effectively be described as a comfy shock collar around her thigh, she wouldn't be able to deny the validity of his concern after Logan had caught her trying to escape the night prior. If she would try to run, as Logan suspected that she might, then she could not argue the point or the validity of the precautions. If she did not plan to run, on the other hand, then there might be hope that Logan would remove the 'collar' later.
