Dunny grinned wider and started stripping off the few clothes he wore (he didn't need much, what with his pelt for thermal insulation). Ham considered the hot water, and sighed. He really, really, really could use a soak. He flushed a bit, but then he tried to think of it in terms of adapting to a strange culture. A nudity-approved culture. That helped a great deal.
Soon he and Dunny slipped into the water. He relaxed against a rock, letting the stress and weariness leach out of his muscles and into the water. His legs throbbed, the long-delayed side-effect from his long jog, and his back and neck ached from all the stress in bringing their ship down. Dunny sighed as he moved through the water, but he didn't stop and relax. His muscles were different, after all, so he relaxed differently. He'd been keeping his genital vents closed, but Ham knew they were twitching. He'd seen the signs before.
"Thanks for letting us relax." Ham angled his gaze over toward Raimei. Dunny was keeping himself about neck-deep, just like she was, but was moving around obliquely, as if circling her the same as she was circling him. Ham could hear the purring all the way across the pool. "You know, I didn't get the translation particularly clearly, but it seemed like Philip said something about a flower? I've been through a lot of exploration in my time, dealt with a bunch of xenomedicine. Are you having issues? Any symptoms?"
