Ber'nia sits up, looking a little concerned at Balmung, who she considered a good friend. "Are you sure you are going to be ok?" The only thing covering her was her soft fluffy fur.

DM: (Ber'nia.. is pregnant with Leos' kid, because neither of them remembered contraceptives. >.<;; I thought about heat cycles with a Bunny Kaadraliit, but the Khajiit don't have them, and I didn't want to get mixed up with extra stuff. EDIT: This was as of the first time they got at it, by the way. Leos came 4 times inside Ber'nia)

(Leos diplomacy 34)

Leos turns over and looks at Balmung. "Are you sure you don't want to share? 'A burden shared is a burden halved,' after all."

"I'm upset and lonely, alright?" He sighed, looking at them. "You two have each other, Paul has the planet. I have nothing. And up until recently, I was fine with it. Hell, it was probably better that way.. But.. now I feel empty.. I don't want to be alone anymore.. before, I could bear it, and I could prosper, because I had a dream and a goal. The sick joke of all of this is now I'm not burdened by their sins, but I feel more empty than before.." He clenched his fists, tears now streaming from his eyes as he looked down, taking a few steps back. "The Divines are cruel.."

(Diplomacy 39, +2 Knowledge (Religion) synergy = 41)
Leos speaks softly from where he lay. "Yes. The Divines can be cruel. You, however, are not a bad man. There is reason for the hardship you face, you will see. You will find purpose, if not love. I guarantee it. I also guarantee that I'll be there to congradulate you when it happens. I promise."

(No way I can beat that roll, won't even try)
"You better not be lying to me..." He whispered, still upset, but dropping his guard nonetheless.

(diplomacy 21)

"And I shall be here to help you as best I can as well." Ber'nia says slipping out of the bed to give Balmung a friendly hug. She seemed unconcerned about her own lack of clothing.

Leos shortly joins her, although he had to wrap his arms around Balmung's waist due to his own lack of height. "I promise. Leos Fi'al doesn't go back on his word." He was slightly blushing, but he'd been naked with guys before. Both in and out of bed.

(14.5 counter roll..I rolled a 1....)
He hugged her back, not minding, surprisingly enough. His demeanor had become that of a young, lost child, with no sure direction of getting back home. He began to consider her as an older sister, and immediately became more comfortable around her. His tears dripped onto her fur a bit and he tried to wipe them off his face with little success. "S-sorry... I'm going to end up drenching your fur.."

(Listen 27)
Paul heard all that was said, but ignored it. He focused on flying, and keeping an eye out for danger. To think about what they said, would invite the memories to overwhelm him again. He couldn't let that happen while he was watching over the caravan.

Balmung eventually exited the cart/cabin, returning to his post, despite fatigue

Paul flies down with a glowing white claw and lands gently on Balmung's shoulder. (Lesser Restoration, no fatigued.) Paul then flies up again.

Ber'nia turns to Leos. Even though she is somewhat wobbly after their encounter she looks at him. "Should we go help them keep watch? He looked tired..." Ber'nia's worry for her fellow party members was clear on her face.

Leos shakes his head. "You sleep. I'll get him to sleep too. I only need two hours, remember? You can take over for me while I get my sleep later, okay?" he offered, smiling softly.

Ber'nia still looked a little concerned, but nodded and went back into the bed, lying down and trying to get some rest.

Leos gets dressed, then goes out to find Balmung. Upon seeing him, Leos walk over and explains his idea. "Balmung, you need sleep too. This collar on my neck makes it so I only need 2 hours of sleep a night. I already got two hours earlier today (before everyone got there, he took a mid-morning nap), so I'll stay up tonight and take the watch. You've already done half of the first one, so I should be okay," he says, smiling brightly with his hand placed reassuringly on Balmung's arm.

He nodded and climbed into the unoccupied cabin, undoing his armor, and stripping to his boxers before curling up under the covers.

DM: (rolls secretly, and is only telling everyone to be a jerk about it)
Okay! Next day... the caravan is getting to within 400 feat of the flash from last night. Everyone is up, awake and alert and rested. It is assumed you've filled each other in. What do you do, if anything?

Balmung remains on guard and cautious, intending to search the area. (listen 12, search 22, spot 19, survival 16)

Paul (In Human Form, and having later healed himself and everyone else before sleeping and regaining his spells.) is keeping an eye on the front, with Volmar circling the wagon at an easy rate. (Spot 44, Listen 27, Survival 38. Also wearing the goggles of voyeurism.)

Ber'nia stretches and then dons her armor, getting ready for whatever may come from ahead.
