The wind is a little rough, kicking sand up to knee level regularly. The sun is high, but indicates it is early afternoon. Although there is sand, it barely covers some light vegetation and dried earth.

What do you do?

Balmung sighs softly, stretching a bit. He enters the town, wondering if anyone would need his assistance. (Gather Information roll, 16)

Ber'nia looked around at the scraggily terrain. She was used to this, in fact she was used to worse. Back home in Elsweyr there were real desserts. Still, the sand was irritating and it got in her fur and armor making things very uncomfortable. The bright red armbands on her wrists had gotten scuffed with dirt at some point, and the blue mythril headband on her ears seemed dimmer, somehow. Her once shining armor trimmed in gold was dull and gritty and dusty. She needed to clean it, she needed a bath, she needed to not be walking in mid day in the desert. She pulled her compass up from the string it was hanging on her pack and checked it.

I just need to keep going south west. I should reach Daggerfall... sometime.

Ber'nia put her compass back and started heading south. Her ears flopped down as if to shade herself from the sun but it was mostly because she was tired of walking. Her armor clanked occasionally and she wondered for the umpteenth time why was walking cross country in it. She adjusted her headband, twitching her nose as some sand got into it. She sneezed and then resumed her walk across the dull boring landscape.

DM: Balmung comes accross a young man(?) dressed in priestly looking robes, ornamented with long green, rune-looking lines and trimmed with gold thread. It appears easy to move in, despite its obvious amount of useless decoration.
The young man(?) is blonde with a deep tan, probably from the desert sun. He(?) has a pair of golden stud earrings and bears the mark of a Dibellan Bishop. You cannot actually discern his(?) gender, for whatever reason.
Strangely, he wears a pair of manacles on his wrists, with no chain between them. His(?) haversack over his slumped shoulder, he appears greatly distressed.

Lios was worried. He was supposed to meet someone here, or so he was told. Then, he was to escort the... bunny accross the desert, to Daggerfall. Not that he understood in the slightest. There was a person to meet, so maybe they had the bunny?
"Oh, bother," Lios sighed. "How am I to complete my duties when I don't even know what they are? A person? A bunny? Maybe a bunny person? Mother, why couldn't you stop to explain?"

"E-excuse me" He stepped toward the priest (or priestess) calmly and well composed. "Is there anything going around in this village? Anything Distressing?" He continues, smiling softly. "If not, could you by chance direct me to the nearest inn? I've been traveling for quite some time, so I'd like a place to stay for the night."

His armor was slightly dirtied, but nothing out of the ordinary. His swords, however, were kept remarkably clean, as if he cared for them repeatedly to make sure they were kept in the best conditions.

Ber'nia saw the town off in the distance and almost danced for joy. She would be there in about fifteen minutes and she couldn't be happier. Supposedly someone was going to meet her there to help her toward Daggerfall. She wondered what what this person would be like, or if they would leave immediately. Ber'nia felt like she wanted to find a nice tavern, hopefully one that had heard of a salad, and get herself clean before she had to move on. As she neared the city gates she straightened up, perking her ears up and standing to her full height. She walked in looking not like the road weary and dirty traveler she had a moment earlier but the knight and official representative of her tribe's leadership... or so she hoped.

Now what did they look like again... was it gold robes and green trim, green robes and gold trim... no trim... I forgot. Blast that woman how come she could not give good description?

"Sorry I'm late. Someone took... issue with Volmar. I haven't been too long, have I?" Paul asks Lios, his dark grey robes matching his Monk's Outfit. His pure white staff with green runes stands out though, and the ring on his right ring finger is a dull blue.

"Ah!" Lios startled. He had been so deep in his thoughts that he hadn't noticed the man come up. As it was only polite, Lios stood up straight and looked the man in the eye.
"Er, yes. Hello, my name is Lios," he said with a slight nod. "I was told to wait for someone. A warrior of some sort, with whom I am to escort a... bunny across the desert to Daggerfall. I don't quite understand the intructions, but I suppose I'll find out soon. ... I hope." He told Balmung, uncertainty clear on his face. He wiped it away quickly enough, however.
"As far as anything else... well, there's only six regular folk's homes, and the Hot Foot Tavern. There... hasn't been much going on. At all."
He turned back to Paul, next. "No, not at all. ... Nothing's changed, really," Lios claimed dissapointedly.

"I suppose warrior fits well enough, even if they refer to owning Volmar more than of myself... I'm Paul Harris. Lios Fi'al, right?" he asks.

He smiled a bit more at the notion. "I'm glad. Sometimes a quiet town is the best kind. Perhaps I'll stick around? If you don't mind, that is. Traveling alone is a bit sad, don't you think?" He asked as he pulled out two apples, and then a third as he saw the newcomer. "Want one? They're really good. I might have some meat for... Volmar, was it?" He offered his rations without hesitation, rummaging through his bag a bit.

"Ah, that's right!" Lios said happily. "The more, the merrier!" Taking the apple and sticking it in his haversack for later,
Lios started walking toward the gates. He grabbed and started pulling Paul and Balmung by the hands, despite not even knowing the latter's name. "C'mon! If you're here, maybe the bunny is coming soon too!"

Ber'nia was just inside the gates and still absolutely confused as to where she was supposed to be. Her ears were still perked up and twitching around trying to catch some talk that might clue her in as to anyone recognizing her. So far all she was getting was stares from one of the city guard. She figured it was worth a shot.

"Umm, excuse me sir. I am looking for a... a Lias, no that's not right. Lios... yes that sounds right. A Lios Fi'al. Would you be so kind as to tell me where I might find him?"

Ber'nia looked at the guard with wide hopeful eyes, knowing that might get him to actually help her.

(Edit: Listen check=24. And you thought the ears were for show.)

"Thank you for the offer, but I have plenty. Volmar wouldn't mind the treat, but it would better," with a look at the begging wolf, who looks innocently back, "If he got used to the concert of conserving. Deserts can be tricky to survive in. Besides," Paul lifts the backpack with a sack tied to it behind him, "He's got plenty of food if he messes up hunting in here." Paul turns toward Lios. "Where did you hear about a warrior, anyway? I'm looking for someone as well, but I had an... unusual source."

Concept, not concert.

DM: Everyone hears a clanging from the north. Like... many pieces of metal slapping against each other, over and over. The sounds overlap, and from your experiences you know it could really only be one thing; a large group in Armor.

Paul turns toward the noise, while gesturing to Volmar, who tries to fade into shadows (Hide: 18) "I hope that's just the Legion coming in from patrol, but it's early."

DM: Sun is too bright, and still too high in the sky. Hide check Failed.

Balmung prepares for the worst and immediately steps in front of his newfound companions. "This could be trouble.. Stay behind me, alright?" He turns his head lightly for his request, heading cautiously toward the sound, and seeing the rabbit girl on the way. "The people you are looking for are close behind me. You're looking for Lios, right?"

Ber'nia turns toward the direction of the sound and ponders for a moment. While she does need to meet her escort, whomever that is, this could be a problem. After a moment's hesitation she heads off in the direction of the sounds. She runs off, bounding at an incredibly fast speed despite her armor. In fact while she is moving a gem placed in the tracery of her plate glows slightly, giving off a soft red sparkle as she dashes toward the noise.
(Full run at X4 speed. Base land speed of 45 feet, how soon do I get there?)

DM: 2 Minutes, then make a spot check.

He follows the notion, though is much slower. (Base land speed 30, but running is 60. so roughly eight minutes. Spot check of 14)
