Mm. Okay, I admit I'm very confused on this aspect.. What level are those wolves? Becuase is if a 50 gets you a DC of 23, then they are rolling at least 55-60's... I was only able to get to 50's with high rolls and my limit skill...

I'm asking becuase I want to be a good DM in time. Therefore I need to understand the base mechanics of the game and running the game

ok rule one for DMs. Make shit up as you go.. it can get annoying, but hey sometimes its the fun part. also there are a few other rules that come into play, the rule of fun, and the rule of cool. if its cool run with it, if its fun run with it. if it makes every one stop and laugh go with it. its not about knowing all the details, some of the funnest games can be the ones spanned from an idea, and BSed the rest of the way. one of the biggest thing that is siad in the DMG on one of the first few pages, The DM is always right, even if he/she is technically wrong. as well as that all rules can be modified to fit your world.

Meh. He's probably got them with higher hit dice than us, and they all have Sexual Expertise. -5 on your Perform check, but +5 on the Arousal DC. You should base things off the rules, but don't be afraid to make things up, if it makes the game better. And better means more fun, more satisfying, for everyone.

>.< I feel slow now for not getting that.

Also yeah, DMs should base things on the rules but be willing to bend them to make the game more fun/interesting.

And I can hit a 50 if I roll max, and get all my modifiers applied, but that's... barely.

I can do more now that I've finally set in all the leveling stuff from the last encounter, but I hadn't at that point in time
