Bang! Bang!

There it was again. That insufferable, idiotic sound that drove him out of bed every now and again. It had to be the most annoying thing he had ever heard. A noise that he was most certain he could live the rest of his life never hearing again. But there it was, no matter how much he wished it would disappear. The sound of knuckles against metal, resounding through the house each time they hit. It grated his nerves, urged him from his bed and forced him to his feet. Slowly, very slowly he moved forward, heading toward the door that was being knocked upon. Upon reaching it he paused, hand coming up to run through his dark brown hair messing it up more than it had already been. These bastards. Always waking him up too soon after finishing a job they had commissioned from him before. Unbolting the door he yanked it open, green eyes narrowing at the rather short man standing before him. Jadyn, a blue eyed, blonde haired boy of the age of nineteen was standing outside his door. His boss's messenger and lover when the need arises.

"Now what the fuck do you want. I just got back from the last job, what more could you want of me on such short notice." It wasn't exactly a question, no really he already knew what they wanted him for. It was what they always wanted him for. He was an assassin, one of the best. Commissioned, believe it or not, by the people who watched over those dark things that lived around the humans. He himself just so happened to be human, which meant it was easiest for him to get close to such beings, them thinking he was easy prey when really they were falling for a trap. If Jadyn was here that meant that there was someone, well something, they wanted him to take care of for them. "A dragon this time, Bear." Bear, a codename he had picked up from an old nickname. His name was Koda. Yes, like the bear cub from that stupid child movie. That was where it came from. His parents always called him Koda Bear. His boss had liked it so that was what he was called from then on. "A dragon. You've got to be fucking kidding me." He huffed darkly, turning on his heels to make his way back into the small apartment he was living in for the moment. He moved every now and again, making sure to keep his presence short no matter where he was. It was a hassle if people started noticing him, they always asked too many questions and the last thing he wanted was questions. Questions that people always wanted answers to and it was too much of a hassle to try and keep up with all the lies he would have to tell, it was easier to just move.

"Where." He didn't wait for Jadyn to come into the apartment, instead walking back to his bedroom to start yanking out clothes to pull on. It was best to scope out his target rather than wait around to be informed about it. Easiest way to learn something was to go there yourself. "Outside of town. He hadn't been on our radar because he usually keeps to himself but lately he's been coming out during the day and there had been reports of sightings. The last thing we need is this leaking out and the easiest way to do that is to destroy the problem." Koda gave a small grunt, yanking on his boot before he returned to the living room. Jadyn hadn't stepped one foot into the door, staying right where koda had left him. The boy knew that koda didn't have a problem with killing him if he decided he wanted to come inside. He'd slit his throat before he had time to step back out. Koda was a rather private person, hard to handle and rather particular on everything he did. "Okay." Reaching out he grabbed the door, intending to slam the door in the boys face but paused when the boy held out a piece of paper towards him. Frown he paused only for a moment before he snatched the paper and slammed the door. One glance and he already knew what it was. A map to where he needed to go.

~~~ three hours later ~~~
He had scoped out the area. Had circled it multiple times, checked for foot prints. Any sign that a so called dragon had been going in and out of the rather small cave. This was where the map had pointed out to him. This was where he was supposed to be. But why the hell did it seem like too small for any kind of dragon he knew of? Weren't they large, scale covered, fire breathing lizards? If so.. wouldn't it be living some place larger than this? He couldn't see inside very well, no matter how he squinted his eyes or tried to peer inside the dark hole. He could of course wait it out but he rather wanted to get this over with rather quickly. Pulling in a breath he stepped forward, ducking his head slightly because of how tall he was and how short the cave truly was. Thankfully his black clothes allowed him to blind beautifully into the darkness, moving along the wall and feeling his way down inside. The tunnel seemed to go on straight forward before suddenly it started to move downwards, leading him towards what could only be described as a bright light at the end of the tunnel. He couldn't help but feel as if he was dying and being pulled back out of the darkness. It was an odd feeling, one that he didn't truly want to shake off just yet.
When he almost reached the end he paused, green eyes glancing around what was in the light. It appeared to be a large cavern but someone had transformed it into almost a home. A fireplace, chairs, rugs, and things of the like were here and there. As if someone had taken the time to carefully place everything just like that. A fire lit the place up beautifully, showing off the large expanse of the room itself. This wasn't what he had been expecting at all and he found his feet moving on their own. Confusion crossed his beautiful features, lips slightly parted as he moved into the room. Usually he would be more prepared than this, usually he knew what he was truly up against but because he didn't know, because he was so surprised he didn't take out the knife he had hidden on his belt. Didn't even think about it as he stepped into the room. It was so odd, this whole thing was just so odd. "What the fuck.."
Someone was in his cave.
That was what he had been thinking as he came through one of the other entrances, one that was hidden from everything and anything. Dragons always had a way of making sure they could get out if they needed to, and this wasn’t his only cave but it happened to be his favorite - the one where he paraded around as a human and enjoyed the luxuries wrought by centuries of living. It was easy to lure people here as well, to tempt them with the confusions wrought just by walking through the front entrance as well as the pleasure of his company. He wasn’t particularly picky as long as the person met his standards in beauty and wit. Humans could be beautiful gems that he picked and chose to wear at his leisure as well as a few of the Others that happened to live in this area - that dark things that went bump in the night. Yet this particularly human had the perfume of a killer. Walking down a corridor, Howl decided to pick one of his swords from the rack that he kept in the hallways that led to other exits and entrances. It was an 18th century katana he had picked up from his travels to the land of Japan after seducing a samurai. He didn’t actually need the weapon, but he did like a good fight if that’s what this particular being was looking for. Tucking the weapon under his arm, he stepped into the main room which opened up to have a high cave ceiling. It helped since Howl was about six-foot three in human form.
“And whom might you be to wonder into my den?” He asked, golden eyes taking in the appearance of the man before him. Very pretty. Combing his fingers through his dark blue locks that brushed the middle of his back, Howl took out a cigarette and lit it, the smoke drifting from his lips. He had high cheek bones, almost like an aristocrat and it suited him as well as the suit that he was wearing, his skin naturally tanned to a golden brown. The black suit hugged and emphasized his size and figure, showing his muscles without exaggeration. Quirking an eyebrow, Howl looked at the man who was obviously a hunter. My, my, my, he thought, what kind of man might this be? Putting the katana down onto a nearby ottoman, the dragon took a moment to remove his suit jacket, laying it over the back of a plush chair. The dark grey button-shirt hinted at the power that lay beneath. He was not a newling, not by a long shot.
“I would state your purpose quickly. I’m not known for my patience unless it’s with a new…toy,” smirking lightly, taking a drag from the cigarette, Howl showed more of the predator that lay beneath the noble façade, yellow eyes penetrating into green ones. Would he lose his nerve? Or would he steel his resolve? Obviously, he had been sent to kill him. He wondered who he had pissed off this time. Well, he would more than likely find out. He made no move to reach for the weapon, instead, he tucked his hand into his pocket and just idly watched the man before him. This would be interesting.
He could feel it the moment someone entered a room, as if the air itself shifted to make room for someone else. It made Koda tense for a moment before forcing himself to relax, green eyes slowly shifting to the man entering the room. Man. A man. Not a large scale covered beast charging towards him for entering his home. No, what appeared before him was nothing more than what could be seen as a human. What if.. what if someone had already killed the dragon. What if someone had done the deed already and the agency didn't know about it? But, how was that possible. Seeing as the dragon had been seen outside of this very cave? It made no sense to him. As the man spoke a mask of indifference slipped across Koda's face, watching as the katana was placed down and the man removed his jacket. For a moment he caught himself staring, watching muscle ripple beneath clothe before he looked away. It was obvious that he wasn't dealing with just an every day man. A golden eyed, blue haired man, living in a cave. Such a man had something to hide.
So when the question was asked Koda's eyes narrowed slightly, arms coming up to fold across his chest. "You weren't what i was expecting." His voice was soft, a deep sound that resonated in his chest. It was almost as smooth as chocolate but it's deep quality meant he wasn't paying much attention to what the man before him was saying. A man that was in his way at the moment and probably had information he needed as to the where about's of the dragon. He was probably in cahoots with the damned beast. "Name." His eyes looked the man over once again, slowly as if to make sure he didn't miss anything before they moved back up to those glittering gold eyes. "Age and species." If it wasn't obvious before it was now, koda had no idea that the very thing he was searching for was none other than Howl himself. A fact that was sure to amuse the other man but Koda didn't care for the thoughts of others. He had a job to do and he was going to get it done. "I was sent to destroy a dragon but i find you instead. It's more than obvious that your not human, your eyes alone give that away." He looked away from the man, looking around the room without moving anything but his head. Maybe there was a clue somewhere as to what was truly going on here but all he could see was old.. well junk. Things that were out dated and probably needed to be gotten rid of. "If you have any information to give now would be the time before i kill you and move on."
"A dragon, you say? I haven't seen one around in quite awhile. Perhaps the creature has moved on and your sources are outdated," Howl said, amused in every manner that he might have been tickled pink by the prospect of someone hunting him, yet looking surprised at the inquiry. So he had bothered the agency that much, hm? Perhaps it was his dashing good looks or his collection of lovers that he had been building within the city. Whatever the case was, he was obviously on someone's list and it appeared that this little hunter was after his head. That was a problem since Howl did like his head where it happened to be currently resting. Taking another drag from his cigarette, he put a hand on his chin as if in heavy thought before he began to walk around, clearly acting as if this was indeed a problem.
"Could you describe this dragon for me? And since you were here first, I think you should introduce yourself instead of demanding so many things. It is rather rude, you know, and handsome men shouldn't be rude," Howl had to smirk a little before putting his cigarette out once it was finished. The man was going to kill him? Well, he was suited up for the job but definitely not up to the task. If he was to be burned by fire, he didn't have the proper suit on. It didn't look or smell fireproof though it did look like it was made of tough stuff - possibly kevlar- but Howl knew better. The agency was about having expendable people at their fingertips regardless of how good of a killer they were. Once they got too cocky or too much of a reputation they ended up being sent off to their death. He really hoped that wasn't the case with this fellow, but with eyes like that, he couldn't be sure. This human was certainly a looker.
Koda sighed darkly. That was a lie. He just knew it was. There was no way the information was wrong. It was never wrong. He trusted it and he wasn't going to allow someone he had just met to change his mind. He said nothing as he watched Howl start to walk, gaze slipping across the man's form as he moved. Koda had always enjoyed watching the way people moved, seeing how skin moved across muscle. Muscle that this man seemed to have plenty of. Something that Koda himself was only slightly lacking in. His own form was muscular but not to the extent that Howl's was, his own body lean to make it easier to get in and out of places. His only hindrance was how tall he was, just at six feet tall, making it difficult to maneuver. His feet stayed right where they were as he watched the man, arms staying folded and body staying relaxed. All in all he looked relaxed, outwardly at ease with the situation but Koda knew better. Knew how easily a situation such as this could become deadly so he was ready. Ready for any kind of move this bastard could make against him.
"I do not ask what they look like unless i need to know. I just figured it would be a giant ugly lizard with wings. How hard is something like that to miss?" His eyebrow lifted, a small amount but enough to show some kind of emotion. He was testing this man. Trying to see just how close he was to the creature in question. By poking at the beast he hoped he could get a rise from him. Maybe it would be enough that he could decide whether or not the two were connected. "A beast such as that has no place in this world. A disgusting creature who's very breath scorches those it get's close to," He gave a shake of his head. "It may be best to take off it's head before it destroys everything." He paused for a moment, almost as if in thought before a slight smirked turned up the edge of his lips. "I've heard story's of their kind. Of the path of bodies they leave behind. How their hearts are nothing more than a dried husk that only craves treasure." Slowly his hand reached out, grabbing hold of a small object from the table in front of him. "Their greed knows no bounds. They will kill and lie for the thing that has caught their eye. Be it money, be it an object or a human." His eyes flashed to the man again. "I would run if you are involved with such a creature. Before it destroys you as well."
"Dragons are actually quite stunning up close, kind of like a beautiful disaster that you can't help be entranced by," Howl said with a shrug. Disgusting lizard? Pfft! He had far more character and better physical attributes for one! But he knew what this human was doing. Trying to get a rise out of him, huh?! He wouldn't stand for that! But he let the human talk and prattle on about how his kind wasn't worth breathing the same air and all that nonsense. That they were greedy- well, he couldn't rightly deny that - and only after treasure. What a pompous little thing! However, he made himself relax by sitting in a chair. The human had picked up one of his little pocket watches and he had to keep himself from barking at him to put it down. He didn't like strangers touching his things but he needed to carry on with his little ruse. Touchy, touchy, touchy. Combing his fingers through his hair, Howl looked at the man with a small smile.
"Run you say? I don't think I would be able to. They are pretty fast for being such large animals, but I will give you that they are greedy and tend to be liars. I mean, who wouldn't be with the way they are designed? They are like the ultimate treasure hunters and nasty little hoarders," he said, bemused at the fact that he was describing himself. It was true, he would admit it, so there was no use in trying to argue the point. Moving back into a standing position, he walked towards the human, smiling at him disarmingly. He was such a handsome little thing and Howl hadn't played in quite awhile. Maybe he could convince this human to be his lover. If only he didn't have the agency to worry about as well.
"They crave beautiful things and I think that you should be far more worried than I," Howl grinned, showing some rather sharp pearly white canines. The human would probably think he was some breed of vampire since dragons shared fang-like-teeth with them as well. No matter. He was enjoying his little cat and mouse game.
His fingers tightened on the pocket watch for a moment, trying to decide whether he wanted to break it or not. That was sure to get a rise out of him, especially know that the man had shown how much he knew about the creatures. If he knew so much he had to of been in contact or around the very thing he was after. After a moment he stuck the watch into his pocket, eyes narrowing when the man stood once more and started to make his way towards him. A soft chuckle left his lips at those last words, giving a small shake of his head. "Why else would i be chosen?" He knew what he looked like, knew that he would be able to get close to the creature because of his looks. He himself, was going to use that but he hadn't intended to come inside today. Actually he had only wanted to scope the place out and come during the night but he had messed up that plan. That was the reason why he was completely prepared for fighting a dragon. But it seemed not to matter now, seeing as he was faced with something else. Something more human, with vampire like teeth and gold eyes. He had never once seen a vampire with such beautiful golden eyes.
For a moment he was mesmerized by them, staring rather intently at the man before he scoffed and took a very slow step backwards. He had another decision to make now. Whether to kill this asshole or not. The door was behind him, so he could probably just walk right out of here if the stupid ass didn't try and stop him but from the way he was looking at him he knew he wasn't going to be getting out of here without a fight. "I'm leaving. Do not try and stop me. If you do i will have no choice but to kill you." His eyebrow rose, turning on his heels and giving the other male his back as if he was unafraid of him. Really he wasn't but that didn't mean he wasn't going to listen to make sure he wasn't followed. This asshole didn't look like the type to just let something leave without trying to keep it. Maybe that was why he was here. That one thing in common with the beast. It made him disgusted. With a snort he ducked his head, starting to make his way back towards where he had come from.
Howl's eyes narrowed for a brief second as the man pocketed his watch. His watch. His watch was in someone else's pocket. Someone else had his watch. Derailing that train of thought with sheer will power, Howl stared at the cocky bastard. And he was a cocky bastard. First he demanded Howl tell him his name and race, and then he stole his pocket watch, and now he was claiming that he was just too much of a beautiful package to pass up?! Well, that last part was kind of true, but to hell with it! He would not be made a fool of! Now how to go about it? How to trip this bastard up. He had been captivated by Howl's gaze but then seemed to pull himself out of it. Usually, they didn't and that was how he lured them in, but this one was smarter than the rest. Letting him back up, Howl tucked his hands into his pockets, listening to the man talk. Just because he was in human form didn't mean he was suddenly easier to kill. That would have been interesting to watch. Watching the man turn around, Howl spoke in a very amused tone.
"I know where the dragon is."
Those words made his feet falter, cursing under his breath as he stopped. "Don't lie to me." He almost snapped the words out, pulling the anger in slightly. It was the first kind of true emotion he had shown to the other man. If there was something he hated the most it was being lied to. He didn't take it well. Pulling in a slow breath he turned around, eyes narrowed and looking straight into those golden ones again. "How can you expect me to believe such a thing when you have already told me you didn't know anything?" His eyebrow lifted, looking more than pissed off now. Stupid asshole. Really, you couldn't trust anyone anymore. Scoffing he turned back around, giving a shake of his head as he took another step away from Howl and towards the entrance. The man was loosing his chance. "If i'm not mistaken you just want to keep me around because of my features. Sorry to say this but, my time can't be spent on someone like you. This pretty face has another purpose." He chuckled softly at his own words, stuffing his own hands into his pockets. Really, did he think that was going to work? It may have worked for a split moment but the moment his eyes settled on those gold ones again he just couldn't believe them. Not with eyes like that. He couldn't trust anyone with eyes like that. Eyes that looked amused with everything around them, as if this was all a game. A game that Koda wasn't going to stick around and play. He would go back to the agency and tell them the information was wrong. Maybe they would have another lead. This one was nothing more than a dead end.
"Well if you don't believe me then go back to your agency and tell them you failed. That should go over quite well," Howl said, walking back to his jacket and pulling out another cigarette. Lighting it up, he let the smoke out slowly, picking up his jacket and katana, clearly seeming bored. He considered just leaving then and there but he wondered if he could ensnare the human. He seemed so hostile it was adorable. Plus, he wanted his watch back. It didn't matter that he had twenty-seven other ones of all varying sizes and colors, that one was a rare piece and had an almost musical ticking sound. It was special, just like all his treasures were special. He was getting a bit twitchy about it and he knew he couldn't let himself lose his nerve and go crazy. He had to stay calm. Smoking his cigarette helped keep him calm.
"It's really up to you. And your pretty face can be found elsewhere. You're not the only good looking creature around these parts, you know. Men, women, doesn't matter much to me," he said with a shrug, smoke drifting out from between his lips as he spoke. Slinging his jacket over his shoulder, katana tucked against him by his belt, he gave the man a look that said, I dare you.
Koda huffed, gritting his teeth slightly. Now that he really thought it through the agency would probably kill him if he went back and said that he had failed. That thought made his feet stall once again, hand twitching beside him hip as the man continued to talk. It was almost like he was being egged on, the bastard trying to get him to do something. His eyes narrowed again, glancing back at the man as he slung his jacket over his shoulder. For a moment he stood there, eyes meeting with those gold ones once again before he moved. His body moved in one fluid motion, ducking enough to keep his head from hitting the cave roof as he darted forward. His feet barely touched the ground as his long legs carried him towards the short table and then over it, throwing a knife from his belt right at the other bastard as he soared over. It was better to just take the bastard down and force him to talk, or that was how Koda saw it. If he had information then he wanted it, no matter the cost to get it out of him.
The moment his feet hit the ground he dodged down, reaching out and grabbed a short rug from the ground to toss it at the bastard as well. He was hoping to momentarily blind him, just long enough to give him more of an opening to get him down. his feet didn't stop moving as he did so, continuing their movement across the floor and towards the man. His hand grabbed another knife as he jumped at Howl, trying to at least wound him enough to get him to slow down as well. He was at a disadvantage though. He had no idea what he was. Vampire, werewolf.. something else. So he didn't know if he could heal quickly but he would find out.
He hadn't exactly expected the man to run at him, but the knife was something he could handle much as it was going to dismay him at what he was about to do. As the knife flew at him, Howl swung his jacket off his shoulders, using the momentum to catch the knife and toss the jacket away at the same time, giving him the means as he crouched to pull the katana from it's sheath. Looking up, he barely managed to move fast enough to swing the blade, cutting the rug clean in half but he was going to go down and he realized that as the human jumped at him, knife out. He brought his arm up just in time to hold it out and keep the man from stabbing him as he fell back from the sudden weight of the man. It was more the surprise than anything that had him landing on the ground with a grunt, using his body to try to roll the man onto his back. He had been up in the air and hadn't been able to grab a hold of anything - or so Howl hoped because he really didn't want to bleed all over himself or the floor. He wanted to pin the man, but he knew it would take a lot more than rolling and grunting to keep this man from injuring him.
He hadn't truly expected the man to pull the katana out but as the rug was cut clean in half Koda's eyes went wide. It was amazing, such swift movement. Faster than he thought the man was possible of moving. Even if he was a vampire or something like that he wouldn't of been able to move that fast could he? A grunt came from Koda as his wrist hit Howl's arm, effectively keeping him from stabbing the bastard. But that wasn't going to stop him. This asshole knew something he wanted to know and he wasn't going to let him get away. He struggled as the man beneath him struggled, trying to keep himself ontop but it was becoming obvious that he was dealing with someone stronger than him.
It didn't take long before his world shifted, gritting his teeth darkly as their position's changed. His head banged back against the hard rock behind it. He groaned, knife clattering to the ground as he reached up to press his hands against the hard chest before him. "Get the fuck off me!" He almost growled the words out, eyes narrowing to look up and into those golden ones. They caught him for another moment, making his breath catch in his throat. His arms slackened in their pushing, it was only for a moment though. Enough that if Howl wanted to he could pin him.
Finally, he had the other man pinned. It was more of a struggle than he had expected but he was in human form and through stronger than most humans, he couldn't put out as much of his strength. He felt hands against his chest but knew he wouldn't be moved, eyes glinting with his amusement and annoyance. Amused because of how the human expected him to just get off and annoyance with that he had to ruin a very nice rug and a pretty damn good jacket. At least he had others. That still didn't stop him from being irritated. Once he felt those hands go slack, he pinned both hands down, with one hand, using the other to put the katana to the man's neck. Leaning in close, he grinned widely, showing lots of shiny teeth.
"I don't think I will 'get the fuck off of you.' I am rather comfortable." Adjusting his legs the slightest bit, Howl was soon straddling the other man, keeping him as well pinned as he could. He doubted the man would risk getting his neck sliced open and so Howl softened his grin into a mirthless smile.
"Now, you will answer me. Just who the hell are you to come in here?"
Fuck. This wasn't going good at all. Not only was their positions changed but it seemed like his muscles couldn't strain against the other male. He was too strong. As his wrists hit the rock as well Koda grit his teeth, eyes narrowing up at the bastard. It was only a second later that a touch of steel cooled his throat, making him pause in his struggling and eyes going slightly wider before they narrowed once more. The question made him chuckle slightly, head cocking to the side. "Whether you are comfortable or not doesn't matter to me. I am not a fucking chair." His eyes never left Howl's golden ones, watching the very close face with that same arrogance. He wasn't going to back down just because this bastard was on top of him. He needed that information and he was willing to die to get it.
By this time he could feel a slight throbbing in the back of his head where he had hit it, it probably had a bump growing. He was going to have to end this as quickly as he possibly could. "Beyond that i already told you why i was here. Your the one refusing to give me any kind of information. I asked. You refused. So i took action." He frowned, tugging on his arms to try and break them free but it didn't work. It was obvious he was probably going to have to try a different tack-tick. "Kill me if you wish but someone else will just come in my place." He smirked, knowing he was right. If the agency wanted the dragon dead this man wasn't going to stop him. Killing him was only going to make the nuisance go away for a little while. "Tell me where he is and i'll be out of your hair." That is, until the agency asked him to kill this bastard too.
He watched him struggle, his smirk only growing. He really had no idea who he was dealing with, huh? Well, maybe he should just burst his little arrogant bubble in a certain way. Grinning a bit, he slid the blade down the man's neck, not enough to cut the skin but enough to make him pay more attention. There were a lot of things he could say, but he wondered what he should start with. Decisions, decisions. Pressing a bit more into the man underneath him, Howl decided to speak up.
"Where do you think the dragon is, hm? And you are a chair. A very delectable chair that I've parked my ass on already so get used to it," he said with a smirk, keeping a firm grip on the man's wrists. He liked the position, he had to admit and it had been awhile since he'd been so rough with someone - some humans were just far too delicate- and he seemed so much fun to play with. He wondered if he could...well... Smirking a bit to himself, Howl wondered what it would take to get the man to roll over and beg.
The question made Koda roll his eyes, huffing slightly. "if i knew where the damn dragon was i wouldn't be here trying to get information out of you." Was this idiot serious? Asking such a stupid question. Did he think he could just mind read or something? "I am NOT a cha-" His words cut off as that sword slipped across his skin, making him gulp slightly as he leaned his head back to bare more of his throat. "Tell me where he is and maybe, i'll let you live." O yes, still acting as if he had the upper hand. Of course he knew he didn't but sometimes he could bluff his way out of situations like this. "Do you think i'm the only one who came? Did you truly think that the agency would only send one person. One person so lightly armed to take on a dragon. I don't think so. Let me go." He gave a smirk, though the smirk never reached his eyes. They showed that he was actually worried. Worried that this bastard was going to end his life.
"All you have to is tell me where the dragon is and i will let you live." His eyebrow raised, almost as if he expected one answer and one answer alone. For the bastard to release him and to tell him where he could find the dragon. If the dragon wasn't here today maybe he would be tomorrow. "Let. Me. Go."
"I'll tell you where the dragon is for a kiss," Howl said, having to force himself not to roll his eyes. They were the only ones here and if the man had been smarter, he would realize that the dragon currently sitting on top of him would have been able to smell others in the area. The only other living creatures in the general area were deer and other small animals. But he didn't know he was the dragon, that he knew there was no back up, or that the man before him was starting to smell like worry and anxiety. It was a subtle but pungent smell and made Howl's hair stand up a little bit. It was making him think of prey. Shifting his weight slightly to press more against the man's waist, still teasing his neck with the tip of the blade, Howl couldn't help but smile.
"You look so appetizing, neck all stretched out like an offering...subconsciously I think you want what I could offer you," he grinned a bit more, a teasing tone to his voice laced with the undertone of lust.
The words surprised Koda, his eyes going wide for a moment before he scoffed slightly. A kiss. Did he seriously fucking think he was going to kiss him? "Who the fuck would want to fuck something like you." He growled the words out, hands closing into fists where they laid. He wasn't struggling anymore but that was only because he was once again trying to figure out how the hell to get out of this situation. Especially since it seemed this bastard didn't believe what he was saying. It was probably because he could smell outside of this den. Even if he was nothing more than a vampire or a werewolf he would be able to smell someone on the breeze.
The next words made him tilt his chin down, covering his throat slightly but making the knife jab into his skin a little more. "Like hell. Your the last thing on earth i would do anything with." His words were certain, eyes narrowed into those golden ones. This bastard was amused. But he could get himself out of this, right? It wasn't his last job. He'd have hundreds after this, wouldn't he? "Let me go." He was still adamant about it. "They may not have the place surrounded but one word from me and they will head inside." His eyebrow rose. Of course there wasn't any back up but he was wearing a mic. just in case this bastard said something he wanted to hear later. If he was searched it would be found. Maybe he could pass it off as a way to speak to his supposed back up. "Don't make me tell them to come in here."
"Believe it or not but a lot of people call me charming and desirable," Howl said flatly, staring at the human lying underneath him. What a little prat. He seemed desperate to get up, but he wondered if he should let him up so soon. He was getting bored with the yelling and the name-calling, and the lying wasn't exactly helping either. Sighing a little, Howl soon came up with an idea and found himself smirking. When Koda tipped his chin, Howl chuckled the slightest bit. He obviously did not want to be found attractive. It made sense, given the situation, but it still was amusing. It was almost like a game.
"Well, since I'd rather not have humans coming to bother me..." Howl shrugged lightly before grinning and pressing his lips against the human's in a brief, chaste kiss. Laughing aloud, he soon stood up, moving quickly away from Koda, knowing he would be either entrance or raving mad for him taking the liberty to kiss him. Giving him a small wink, he soon was walking away, having taken the little pocket watch from Koda's pocket as he had moved away. Clutching the little item, he showed it off to Koda before he went to the mouth of one of the tunnels.
"I would be wary, little human, you'll lose to me," grinning wide, Howl laughed again, sheathing the katana before taking off down one of the tunnels. He wondered if he would be followed and almost welcomed the change of pace. It would be interesting to see where this all went. He knew the human was out to kill him, but it was just so much fun keeping that little secret just beyond his reach.
Charming and desirable. Bullshit. That was all koda allowed himself to think as he struggled slightly beneath howl. This was becoming to much. He needed to get away and possibly call for real back up. koda knew one or two from the agency that would be willing to come and help him figure this the fuck out. He might not of been the smartest person but it wasn't like he was stupid either. Though his thoughts crashed together when lips pressed against his own. It was rough and gentle all at the same time. Not to mention caught Koda completely off guard.
He didn't move when he was released for a few moments, still shocked by the actual act. If he was willing to do such a thing what else was he willing to do? He couldn't help being both completely pissed off and wishing for another touch of those lips. A flash of metal caught his eye and he cursed under his breath, hand touching the pocket he had stored the watch before he pushed himself quickly up and to his feet. "Fucking bastard." He scoffed the words watching Howl start to walk away from him. He had two options, go after him or leave and come back another day, at a time that he was much better prepared. "Coward." He hissed the word, not being able to stop himself. "Running from a human now, are we?" His eyebrow raised, using his hands to dust off the dirt that had clung to his clothes when he had been pinned down. "Don't worry. I won't tell your friends. At least not until i figure out where he may be hiding." He smirked, eyes narrowing at that wide back. The bastard was only a few inches taller than him but that back was wide enough to lean against. Such a thing Koda had never noticed before. It seemed he was noticing quiet a few things he had never noticed before. Like how it felt to feel lips against his own, ones that actually ignited something instead of felt cold and lifeless against his own.
"You have your kiss, now tell me where he is!"
"Correction! I stole your kiss! So you get nothing~!" Howl called, the last part almost in sing-song. He couldn't help himself, especially since the other man had been very distracted after he'd been kissed. So now he was affected and it made Howl laugh. The man would probably fight it, but he knew the signs. He would be followed. He would be questioned, and he would seduce and torture the poor man until he gave into his own desires. It was the only polite thing to do after kissing him. It was the way of courtship sometimes. He would lead, then pretend to give the lead up, and then take it back swiftly and with confidence.
"One has to be willing to give anything and everything to get information. Are you that person?" Howl called out, partially down one of the tunnels. He had picked the longer tunnel that connected throughout the cave system. It was complex and unless someone knew at least three ways to exit besides the front entrance, they would just end up going in circles for awhile. So he was giving Koda an opportunity to follow him. Koda would probably have a good memory on the tunnel, but would he remember all the turns and how to get back? Probably not. But you never knew.
"Tick-tock, little human~!"
Koda gritted his teeth, eyes narrowing at his feet for a moment. He almost looked a child that had been caught in a lie. Though the look almost instantly disappeared as anger over took him. He was being led on. Possibly to a trap and Koda wasn't sure he wanted to step down that rabbit hole. What if the dragon was truly on the other end. He would be just another snack easily taken. Could that be it? Could this man be providing the food for him? If so maybe he should follow him, remember how to get down there and figure out a way to escape. Then he could come back at a later date and kill the beast. All he had to truly do was refrain from being eaten.
After another moment of hesitation he stepped forward, jaw set as he balled his fists. He had to take the chance. Even risking his ass was worth getting this pay off. The head of this beast would set him for life. Anything after it would just be for a hobby, not for money. He'd be able to buy whatever he wanted, do what ever he wanted. He'd be practically free.
With that thought in mind he moved forward, eyes narrowed as his long legs propelled him quickly forward. "Stop calling me that. Bear. I'm called Bear."
How had paused just long enough to allow the man to follow him into the tunnels. It had taken awhile but eventually he heard the footsteps that showed that he was winning - even if it was just a small victory. Grinning to himself, he still started to walk again, adjusting the tie around his neck. He didn't need it now, but he did like the way he looked suave and dashing even without his coat. He pouted a little as he realized that his jacket now had a wonderfully sized knife embedded in the fabric. Ah, well, he would just have to find a replacement in his wardrobe which was done one of the other tunnels. He wasn't going to lead Koda there quite yet but it had crossed his mind. Humming a little tune, he heard Koda say not to call him little human anymore but Bear. How interesting.
"A human called Bear? Excuse me if I laugh at the irony~ Ah, ha, ha~" He called, turning around to see how close this Bear was to him now. He wasn't too far off but then again Howl wasn't in any hurry. His steps were light despite his size and his hands were set in his pockets as he walked a relaxed and brisk pace.
Koda frowned at the laughter, rolling his eyes in the darkness. He could just barely see and the further they got from the large room the darker it was becoming. Not to mention the fact that the man was walking rather quickly. At one point he had to reach out and press a hand against the wall, aggravation setting in. "It's a child hood nickname. Really, has nothing to do with bears at all." He mumbled the words softly, trying to talk to keep himself focused. His arrogance was starting to wane the further down the tunnel they got and the darker it became. His eyes were his greatest asset. Loosing his ability to see was not something that he wanted.
"Fuck. How much farther? I'm getting bored of following." Not to mention he could barely see now, hand sliding across the wall so that he could follow it. He could barely hear Howl's own footsteps in front of him, at least not over his own. It was almost like the other man walked on his tip toes every where, keeping his feet from making a sound. His mind mulled that over as he continued to walk, only coming to a stand still when his head made contact with something hanging from the ceiling. He walked straight into it, forehead smacking it rather loudly and making him grunt darkly before cursing loudly. "Fucking hell!" His hand came up to press against his throbbing forehead, body crumpling forward slightly in pain. He gently touched the wound, realizing rather quickly that he had bumped it hard enough to break the skin. He was bleeding slightly, just a small amount but it was enough to make him wary. "You could have warned me!"
