ok ok got to try and do a head count on band members see where we are at. rhythm guitar = Nicky Kat's two character are Lead Guitar & Drummer Krys's is Bass guitar and Tech.. Mine is Frontman aka lead signer and umm that's where we are at AssassinWolf are you thinking of being in the band or some other role outside the actual band. for in band roles i can think of we could do second bass some bands do have multiple bass players there is Sliptknot that well they just have to many people in there group IMO but lol it has also been done in bands like TYPE-O-NEGATIVE and stuff like that. also could have a Keyboard/Piano player OR something non traditional for a rock group like fiddle (ive seen metal groups add fiddle or other instroments usually more common with classical music very so often so thats possible as well plus any other ideas welcome. then i think we start thinking about calling the band full soon though and start looking for NON band characters.

@DARKANGEL lets see if i can quickly sum things up picking out positions for character and coming up with plot ideas as well as where we will be starting things off at. as for type of story thinking along the lines of a band that are also vampire/monster hunters (not ruling out friendly non human creatures taking part in story as well as the evil ones they hunt) still need to decide if they pick targets themselves or go by things that attack them first OR if there is some secret agency either government OR religious based that tells them targets. umm lets see what else. oh well quick sum up think Van Helsing /league of extrodenary gentlemen vs all sorts of evil while Not on stage . band is either a release for them or a cover for them to get into area's where there targets may be and maybe to fund there adventures ? like i said still early in planning proccess we got to iron out details on EVERYTHING just about still.
 
Ok..... question. What genre of music is the band? Just curious. And would people mind if my character played a more non-traditional instrument? IRL I'm actually fairly well-versed in music (though sadly I suck at improv *shakes fist* but goddamn I can sight read almost anything, LOL!). I'm trained in both piano and voice and have a fair bit of training in flute. However, I've a HUGE love for cello. And I've seen cello incorporated in bands and such before as well, as far as non-trad instruments go. So, would it be all right for my character to be a cellist? I picture her being a bit on the gothy side as well... especially if my earlier request about necromancy be allowed. XD
 
as far as my character and stuff i'm thinking very much like a old school rocker he is very open to hmm how do i put this..... not getting into any one single relationship but rather just going towards Fun times with whoever he finds of interest .. and probably going to go with him being Bi if needed. could always end up settling down with one person down the line but got no real thoughts towards that right now
 
well i was thinking of turning my slayer into a slut hehe she wont settle down just have flings with what ever evil or good lol
 
lol.... relationship wise... I know mine will seek out something deep and meaningful. They always do. Romance is the key to all my characters' hearts. LOL! XD As subby as they are.... they need that. Always. XD
 
my vampire girl will settle down with the one person male or female for the long run maybe my slayer will too get tired of running around with people and settle down who knows lol
 
darkangel i am cool with that. i'm leaning toward heavy music be it metal , thrash , or somthing like that. hmmm maybe something along the lines of Lordi ??? (don't feel bad if you don't know who thy are there very UNDER noticed think along th lins of Rob Zombie/ali cooper style shock rock/metal with a more olschool meets new shool metal. and back to the instroment thing i like classical instroments mixed into heavy music it adds such depth i wish more bands caught on to doing it rather then adding shitty DJ's to the mix as has become the unfortunate mix of modern music :(
 
and yeah everyones ideas are sounding great thus far :) sorry if my replies are ever a step behind i'm on a PS3 so even though i have a keyboard hooked to it to make typing faster there are still things about it that slow me down or force me to cut posts in half to fit them :(
 
I cant wait to see your bi guy Krys. And guys Im not very good with band stuff like on stage and all those things :D so I may need some help explaining what my character does on stage.

I think you'll like him well hopefully you do :) I'm probably gonna use Rasmus Ledin as the model for him if that's alright.
 
I agree, Warlock, about adding in classical instruments. I think it adds a richness to be sure. And I think cello will be perfect because it can serve 2 purposes. It can serve for beat as well as for lyrical. So, I kind of like that aspect about it, plus I love and adore the sound of it. So, I'll go with that. I picture her to be somewhat gothy, shy and introverted. But the sort who gets lost in the music and is in her element when performing. Like she forgets everything when she plays cello. Kind of like that. The necromancy part will be something she has innate ability in and uses as a means of being able to hone in on the undead, especially zombies and ghouls for everyone to slay. I don't see her being particularly good at fighting, but as one who is perhaps in current training to learn how. I'm thinking that she has this ability she doesn't quite know how to use and is trying to figure it out and has found these people and sees this as a means for doing good with it. And she dabbles in the necromancy part to sort of control her ability to naturally draw the undead to her. Yeah... I think she has a natural pull that has them come to her, which sort of drives her crazy at times.
 
you all see the girl in my sig well that is what the slayer is gonna look like i think i will keep her name faith as well and she is my wild girl lol

The vampire can't make up my mind who i want her too look like but leaning towords the girl from underworld i think she would make a good vampire for the band and a total sweetheart.
 
Wildkat you are going to use a vampire slayer from a show for you character nice :D Oh and I love buffy, one of my favorite shows
 
yes my brother one day asked me have you seen buffy and i was like what the heck is buffy and he said sit down girl and watch then i was like omg i love the show i love faith and buffy and willow and xander but the best one is Angel he is a total hotty. Glad to know iam not the only one who watches that show on here lol.
