Thin as Blood (Me and Alisa)

"To the other side of town, i hope youre not squeamish, its a cross town race and nobody is stopping traffic." She smiled devilishly as they reached the main highway, traffic was moving at a moderate pace, she shifted gears down one and the engine revved high, she held the clutch in a second and revved it, looking for an opening, she saw it, dropped the clutch, and the car rocketed off, she was weaving in and out of traffic, for a big old muscle car, it handled like a porshe or something in the high handling category, it was definatly the most maneuverable thing on the road for miles, until they pulled up to a light, a bright red enzo ferarri pulled up, the man rolled down his window and revved his engine, it screamed and the man smiled, Alisa shook her head and held out her fingers close together and revved the engine, the camaro began to shake and rock, flames shot out of the side port exhaust, the man smiled undeterred.

"So you race that hotwheels toy?" The man said.

"Yeah, but im curious if your little cereal box car can keep up?" She smiled, the light turned green, Alisa dug the car in, the engine roared, the front end lifted up, but the ferarri was keeping pace, that was, untill the front end hit the ground, the camaro picked up full traction, full momentum, and left the ferarri like it was standing still, she smiled as the ferarri got smaller and smaller in the rear view, moments later they pulled up to the meet, hundreds of high dollar high priced cars could be seen, in this parking lot, seemed like it was reserved for this occasion, there were even some multi million dollar cars in sight, the sound of engines revving, people talking, even some tires squealing as people did burnouts.

"Lets let them know we are here shall we?" Alisa rolled up the windows, she held the clutch and the gas at the same time and set the parking brake, the car revved high and began to shake, then she let off the clutch and the tires started out at a low hum, but quickly picked up to a high pitched squeal, ten seconds later everything in a twenty yard radius was covered in smoke, alisa shifted into second gear and idled the car out of the smoke, all eyes were on her.

Trystan grinned at her, nodding slightly. "I'm not squeamish. Just promise me one thing though." He hesitated for a little bit, his smile widening a little bit. "I want you to go as fast as you can. It's been a while since I've really felt speed like that." He chuckled to himself, nodding in approval as they weaved out of traffic. It seemed he had quite a bit of faith in her driving skills. When a red Ferarri pulled up alongside them, he shook his head and started to laugh. He wanted to say something, but it seemed Alisa had things under control. He only grinned at the man driving the car, shaking his head and wagging his finger at him.

Once the light turned green, the front end of the Camaro saw the sky again, the red car keeping up. He flashed a glance at the vampire, a small question in his eyes, which was soon answered when the wheels touched down again. Once they got full grip, they took off like a rocket, leaving the Ferarri in the dust. He had to laugh at that. The laughter stopped short though when he saw the cars in front of them. They all looked or sounded expensive. Thank God he knew a little about motors. Before he knew it though, smoke covered everything. The source of the smoke? Alisa's back tires. Once everything settled down, Trystan looked at her, patting her on the shoulder before opening his door and climbing out, watching the Ferarri driver they had beaten pull up beside them. "Well, they know we're here all right."

Alisa laughed and put on a pair of Gucci shades, she idled the beast into a parking spot and revved the engine high again before, cutting it off, it sputtered and shook for a second more even after the engine was off, she stepped out, for a second, everything was quiet, everyone was watching her, the man in the ferarri they had previously raced walked up to her at a brisk pace he was angry.

"Hey, stupid bitch, nobody smokes me like that, lets do that again, pink slips, you wont smoke me this time."

Alisa took off her shades and stared at the man, "Ferarris are too cheap." She put them back on and walked away, everyone in the crowd went "Oooooh!" some shouted other things, "That fool got served!" others just laughed, the man hung his head.

She walked over to a man who was in a suit, he was clearly running things, "So when do we start."

The man laughed, he had a very deep bellowing laugh, and reeked of money and power, "Right now if you wish my vixen, first one to my mansion on the other side of town gets ten million, and there is a wildcard in this race." The man stepped aside, revealing a Bugatti Veyron, the driver turned the car over, it sounded like a jet engine, "This, is your opponent."

Alisa laughed, "Please leonardo, you know as well as i do, that on the straightaways that thing will not keep up with my camaro, it wont be able to hit its top speed, and it cant turn worth a damn, so give me something harder to race."

The man looked shocked, "This one has been, modified, it is far from factory condition, please do me the luxury of racing against my machine."

Alisa sighed, "Twenty million bet either way, if i loose i give you twenty million, if i win, you give me twenty million."

The man pulled out a cigar, cut it, and lit it, "Done."

Trystan raised an eyebrow at the Ferarri man, rubbing his chin before shaking his head at him. With that, he turned to watch Alisa talk to the man in the suit. He picked up the words '20 million' and tilted his head. They were betting on which car was faster. From what he'd experienced though, the Camaro was a speed demon, but he'd heard things about the Bugatti. Especially since this Leonardo man said it was modified. He sidled up to Alisa's side, placing an arm around her waist. "I hope you like handing over money. Tell your driver to talk to the man with the red Enzo. He'll need to find some interesting things to see, since the back of the car is all he's going to see." Trystan smiled widely, chuckling a little before striding over to the driver of the Bugatti.

"Listen bud, I feel very sorry for you. You might wanna put some kind of helmet on, just so you don't go around getting laughed at after this." Trystan grinned at him, his ears wanting to twitch, instead laying flat against his head, concealed by his hair. "I'm just looking out for you. I have respect for you since you're doing this, but seriously......" The neko shrugged, turning around and walking back to where Leo and Alisa stood. "Well, are we going to do this, or are we going to stand around like idiots?"

Alisa walked over to her camaro, opened the door and slid in, she cranked the camaro over, it sparked to life, alisa flipped a switch, a low pitched humming was heard as the exhaust got alot louder, she had opened the butterfly valves on the exhaust ports, letting the engine breathe more, people were having to talk louder in order for them to be heard, Alisa put the car in reverse and idled it out of its parking spot, people were staring at something they didnt think possible, the car had roared in like a lion, but now it was roaring like a dragon, a few people were standing close, "Lets give them a scare shall we?" She revved the engine, flames came out of the side port exhaust, car alarms were set off by the sheer volume of the sound the car was producing, she idled the car to the start line and revved it some more.

He couldn't believe his ears, which were by now actually hurting quite a bit. He flattened them more against his head, flicking them slightly in annoyance before nodding and climbing into the car. Of course, he was somewhat cheered up when she made the car roar like a dragon, watching the people who were near them jump back in fright as the fire leapt at them. "Heheh, well, that oughta give a few of them heart attacks. Keep doing that, and all your competition will be dead!" He chuckled, leaning back in the seat in anticipation as the idled up to the line. The Bugatti driver revved his engine, and Trystan was happy to see he had taken his advice. The driver was wearing a white helmet with dark tint on the visor. "Let's show him what this car is made of hun." The flags were raised, and suddenly all that could be heard was the revving of engines. Two engines, making enough sounds for an entire division of racecars. The flags dropped, the roaring intensified. The race was on.

Alisa mashed the gas, the camaro got vertical, the bugatti pulled ahead, the front tires of the camaro slammed onto the ground and she quickly caught up, the first turn was coming up, alisa shifted up and dropped back, smiling, the mighty veyron hit the turn first, but it was so wide that the car couldnt turn quite as quickly as it should have, alisa put the camaro sideways and slid right by the mighty veyron, she put the car straight and mashed the gas, the veyron got smaller and smaller as she pulled ahead, the next turn came up, it was through an intersection, she mashed the gas and shot through, turning, the camaro went sideways again, soon as she got straight the she hit the nitrous, pulling ahead, "Were about ten miles out, the veyron might catch us but there is one last turn." She put the pedal to the floor, the camaro rocketed off, and she was pushed back into her seat from the G-force, the sound of a jet approaching was heard, it was the veyron bearing fast on their heels, alisa shifted into her seventh gear, "Transmission from a mercedes gulwing SLR." She smiled, the camaro barely held onto the lead, the veyron fast on their heels, the last turn came up, she quickly dropped gears, and the camaro slowed down, she whipped it into the turn and slid into the drive way where leo was waiting in front of a helicopter that had just landed, a screeching or tires was heard as the veyron took the turn too fast and rolled into a ditch, it burst into flame.

Alisa stepped out of the car and walked to leo, "Next time maybe you should have let me drive."

The man lit a cigar, "I see that now." he said in his deep australian accent "Perhaps you are the best." He winked at her and handed her a briefcase, "Here are your winnings, id also like to ask you to drive for me."

Alisa shook her head, "Leo, you ask me every time i destroy one of your playtoys, the answer is still no, i dont work for drug lords."

Leo pulled out a gun "I should kill you."

"But you cant." She smiled, the man lowered his gun and walked away.

The race practically went the way Trystan thought it would. They won. The expensive looking car they were racing against was going up in flames in a ditch, and Alisa had just won two million dollars. However, it was just after the race that something he didn't expect happened. Leo pulled a gun. The neko's reflexes kicked in, and he seemingly pulled out his own pistol. It was smooth in design, the barrel somewhat long, the clip extending past the grip. It was bigger then Leo's by quite a bit too. His face had completely changed from the easy-going she had seen at the house to dead stone. "Here's the deal Leo. You two may be friends but I don't know you from jack shit." He shook his head, twirling his weapon expertly around his fingers, stuffing it in his jacket when Leo put his gun away and walked off. The neko simply looked at the vampire, shaking his head, allowing himself to relax a little the farther the drug lord got away from them. "I don't like that guy. Next time he pulls a gun anywhere near me, I'm putting a round in his leg. The time after that, I'll go ahead and make sure he doesn't do something like that again." He shrugged, climbing back into the car, letting his ears fluff up the second the door closed. "Come on, let's get out of here."

"That would be an excessively bad idea, if you think hes alone, and his subordinates wouldnt come after you, you are quite wrong, and my peaceful yet exotic lifestyle would be disturbed, and if my life is at stake, because of yours, i would let him kill you, just to not reveal who i really am to the rest of the world, i have lived over five thousand years, and ill die for no one." She said this in a stern tone, "But, that being said, lets go get something to eat." She kissed him on the cheek, and started the car, "Where do you feel like, the sky is the limit my little friend, anything, anywhere, even in another country if you wish, anything you want is yours." She smiled and revved the engine, and surprisingly took off at a normal pace down the driveway, "If you wanna go somewhere else, we go to the airport, if you want to go home or eat, we can do that, the sky is yours, literally." She laughed.

Trystan shook his head slowly, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Guns make me nervous. As long as he doesn't pull it around me again, we'll have no problems. Otherwise, you might wanna get rid of me now." Trystan shrugged, relaxing into the seat, rubbing his temples with his eyes closed. If one looked closely enough, they would see that his blue tattoo was faintly pulsing on it's own accord. "I heard that there's a good little Chineese place down a few miles. Never really got the hang of chopsticks though." He shrugged, finally having seemed to calm down. He took a deep breath and let it out, leaning forward slightly. "What's the history between you and Leo?"
