Unlikely Romance (wolvenrouge and I)

He just held her, and stayed with her despite the quickly building heat. Realizing that she was shy he reached into his pack and pulled out a treasure. It was a thong. "This belonged to my wife" he said " but she can't use it any more. You should wear it. At least it will be some earthly use." he handed her the tiny scrap of fabric. and kissed her gently on the forehead.

She bit her lip and thought for a moment before accepting the thong. "Thank you," she told him, smiling. Did she really want this stranger to see her in a thong? Well, hopefully he wouldn't be a stranger much longer, and she wondered if he hoped the same thing. Her stomach growled than, and she looked down, rather embarrassed. She wasn't used to eating much, but after what she had eaten yesterday Rea supposed that it had made her hungry. "Can you help me put this on?" she asked, handing up the thong. "I'm not sure if I can stand on my own to put it on." It was better than nothing she supposed. Her skirt was the only bottom clothing she had it now it was ripped to shreds, so at least her extremely intimate part would be covered, leaving only her ass exposed to him.

He gently slipped the tiny piece of cloth around her legs and down to her hips. she lifted them briefely and he saw he naked for the second time but quickly covered her opening, with small scrap of material. "lets get some fresh air." he said picking her up in his arms and carrying her out into the warm morning breeze.

He collected his arrows in his quiver and made his bow ready, in case it was needed to protect the camp, their camp. He liked the sound of that.

She was grateful for him carrying her, and when he set her down outside in front of the now dwindling fire she leaned over and set more sticks in it from the pile that was setting near them. "Thank you for the help," Rea told him, motioning towards the thong. From the looks of her leg though, it was starting to get infected. She could see yellow puss slowly beginning to seep from the wound.

"Your leg looks pretty bad, we really need to disinfect it. I have something that will do it, but it will burn like hell. The alternative is pretty bad though. What do you want to do." He went through his bag and brought out a small bottle of gin. "I can soak your bandage in this. Like I said, it won't feel good."
He showed her the bottle and waited for her to decide what she wanted to do. He knew that without it she would probably lose her leg.

Rea sighed as she looked at the bottle, and then at her mangled leg. "Do it," she said, holding his forearm. If he said it was going to hurt like hell, than she believed him. "Just let me squeeze your arm, okay?" She asked, looking at him with pleading eyes. At least there was some one with her now, who could help her with these things. She probably would have been killed by those wolves if it were not for him, and she was extremely grateful.

He held up her ankle and slowly poured the stinging liquid. It soaked into the bandages and the pain soon began. Unfortunately he then had to make it worse by slowly massaging the wounds to work the yellow puss out to the surface and the stinnging liquid deep inside where it would do some good. He saw the pain in her face and gave her a piece of dried meat to bite on. When he had finished with the wounds, he just held her, cuddling her in his arms.

A soft scream erupted from her lips, and she squeezed his arm so tightly that her knuckles turned white. It was almost worse than the actual act of being bitten itself. The soft scream soon turned louder though as he began working the puss out and the liquid in deeper, causing her leg to feel as if it were on fire. Tears formed in her eyes, and she bit down hard on the meat he gave her, though it really didn't do much. When he was finally done she leaned into his chest, panting, and took his hand, still squeezing it until the stinging finally began to die down some.

When he was finished treating the wounds, he pulled her into his arms, and held her close. He knew there was nothing that he could do about the pain, but he pulled her to his chest and rubbed her back gently , trying to help her to relax. "Have you met any other humans in this area?" he asked her. "We need to do some trading for the meat if we can, we have too much, and even dry, it will spoil before we can eat it all. "

She shook her head, relaxing into his safe arms. "Your the first person I've seen in about two years, and I've been in this area," she told him, looking outside to watch the breeze blow the sand around. Maybe they would have to go somewhere else, because he was right, they just had to much meat right now and it was going to completely go to waste.

"Have you been to the coast?" he asked. "it has to be cooler than this desert. and there we can dry some sea water for salt to preserve the meat better. It should be about a 2 day walk from here though I may have to carry you. Are you willing to go there?" They had stayed in the tent most of the day and night was growing near, walking would be best at night when it was cool.

Rea shook her head, watching nightfall come. "There is no way I'm letting you carry me. Can we find something to make crutches out of, than I can walk myself," she told him, smiling slightly. There wasn't any way she would let him carry her, plus all of the things, and their food, there was just no way. She had to walk, whether it killed her or not.

Daniel looked athethings they had. W can build a litter and you can ride on it with our stuff he said, but you cant walk that far not if you want to keep your leg. He staretd taking down the tent and used the two pols and the tent to make a litter. They loaded her meat and his pack and all that they had on it and then he had her sit on it two and began to drag it across the sand toward the coast.

She sighed but sat on it as he drug it across the ground. She wished that she were able to help him somehow, but knew there wasn't any possible way that she could even walk at this point. "Why don't we just stay here?" There was plenty of food source here, it wouldn't be a bad place for them to live, or at least she didn't think so.

"Because , for one thing water is terribly short, and we have all this valuable meat we can sell or trade for, That is if we can find another person, to buy it". They walked on thrugh the cool of the nightand he stopped on the edge of the desert where they found a small clump of trees surronding a small pond. He leaned down and tested the water, it was clear and cold, and it tasted good. " We can stay here he said. if there is anyone around they are sure to come here for water and ther should be plenty of game nearby as well that is if any other than the wolves survived." As he spoke those words, he dropped the litter and stood there in awe, as across the pond, a pure white stallion had come to drink. "SHHHHHHH its a horse!" hopefully we can catch it and tame it."

She was quiet and ducked down, gazing in awe at the beautiful stallion that was blissfully unaware of them being here with him. Rea hadn't seen a horse in years, but they had always been her favorite animal, and she had a few when the world was normal, she kept thinking about how amazing it would be, and how much easier things would be, if they could tame the beautiful creature.

Daniel dug quietly through his pack and came up with a rare prize. a piece of hard candy. He crushed it with a rock and then taking the pieces in his hand he slowly approached the stallion offering tiny slivers of the sugary substance. Using the sugar as a bribe, he coaxed the hose slowly around the pond and over to where Rea sat waiting.
