Maya had gotten the call about five minutes ago to meet Jason at the park like they always did, and she was never late, but this time she had to bring her friend home. "See ya May, have fun." Vanessa told her, stepping out of the car. "later" Maya called back out before pulling out of the driveway. She was five minutes late, but thought nothing of it. She drove the mile from Vanessa's in only a couple minutes. She parked in one of the designated spaces and got out of the car to walk to where Jason stood alone staring off like he did often. The playground was empty except for two joggers running around the track a few yards away. "Sorry I'm late, I had to take Vanessa home." She said, approaching him with a smile.

Jason stood after he had hung up his phone in the middle of the part. He played with the chain of his wallet slightly as he waited for his girlfriend, Maya to arrive. he started getting irritated when she was about five minutes late. He even sent her a text, though assuming she never got it. He started getting worried about her. When she finally arrived he was staring off into the distance his mind racing with worry. When she called out to him he turned to her. "Jesus would it have killed you to call and tell me I was worried sick you got in a wreck or something." He walked towards her quickly an expression of mixed anger and annoyance on his face.

"Well, I wasn't about to let Vanessa walk home on her own." She said, thinking it was an explaination of her absense. He looked angry as he got within arms reach. She thought about huggung him, but thought it would be a bad idea since he was so upset. "I would have called if I knew you were going to react like this." She giggled with a small nudge of his arm.

He sighed deeply when she giggled, "This isn't a laughing matter you know I get worried about you." When she nudged him she though she was actually making fun of him for being concerned, "Well excuse me for being concerned that something may have happened to my girlfriend." He exclaimed as he huffed deeply. He didn't mean to get like this but sometimes he could not stop himself for getting angry over the simplest things. It had been a week or so since it had happened.

{Since what happened?}
She walked to be by his side, wrapping her arm around his waste. "Sorry." She said, kissing his cheek. "I would be worried about you too." She whispered as if it were a secret. "So, why did you call me down here in the first place? Did something happen?" She asked, concerned. She didn't know what could be going on. Everytime he ever called to meet it varied from super serious to just plain hanging out. Either way she was always glad to see him. Her icy blue eyes looked over him before returning her eyes to his face.

{gotten angry but ignore that i spaced for a minute sorry}
He pulled away from her now sure why he was so angry with her. She had only dropped a friend off. However his father had always had anger problems, which was why his father was also in jail for assault currently. He stepped back to look at her, "Look you can't do this to me next time call me I mean seriously its not hard to pic up a phone hell you do it all the time at the apartment." he slipped out the words almost as if with intentions to hurt now.

She mentally flinched at his words. She had thought that everything was okay now, but apparently not. "You know that those calls are business. And like I said, I would have called if I knew that I needed to." She said, her tone starting soft and ending sharp. There was something that she wasn't quite getting here, and she knew it. She wasn't mad or upset, but she was getting a bit concerned, it was like a cord on a guitar snapping, you never expected it until it hit ya.

He laughed almost insultingly, "Oh don't tell me that your on the phone twenty-four seven and every bit of it is for business!" He was shouting now, though in the back of his mind he did not realize what he was doing. He continued glaring at her his anger evident on his face, "I have to make plans a week in advance to spend time with the woman I LIVE WITH!"

"I came today didn't I? That was like five minutes in advanced. Besides that you never had a problem with any of this before." She snapped back. "You have no reason to act this way, I was ten freaking minutes late don't be such a baby." She said, looking in his eyes. She wanted to believe that he didn't really mean all the things he was saying, but sometimes her intuition wasn't enough to make her believe it. She sighed and reached out for his hand.

When he called her a baby every thing he had left snapped, "a baby really is that what you think I am. Well I guess the truth comes out don't it." he jerked his hand away from her quickly, "Don't touch me." He turned and walked off down the walking trail in the park slamming his hands into his pockets. He didn't bother to think about what he said anymore, he jsut wanted to get away from her.

She sighed, blowing her dark red bangs up out of her face. She debated on whether to go after him. Something told her that it would be better to let him get it out alone, but there was a small part of her that wanted to go to him. She went over to the swings and sat there for a couple minutes, recalling the events that led up to this. It was her fault she had concluded. She should have been more aware about his feelings from the start rather than just laughing it off. She took a deep breath and followed the trail hoping to find him to apologize. She had ran for a minute before she thought she heard him, she was having second thoughts about going to him, but her heart told her it was the right thing to do. She followed the sound.

After he had walked for a bit he took a seat on a bench running his hands through his hair holding it taunt. he did not know honestly why he was so angry he just felt the urge to yell and scream at her now. He just wanted to release his anger but he did not know what to do. He just wanted to hit the next thing he saw no matter the reason.

Maya walked a bit further before she saw Jason. She still wasn't sure about approaching him, so she stood in the middle of the trail. "I am sorry." She said, looking at the ground. There wasn't much that she could do about the setting sexcept attemting to lighten the mood. She felt a bit more confident in being around him, so she sat at the other end of the bench. "We can go home adn talk about it, or we could just not talk about it." She said, just going on in nervousness.

"When she said sorry he really had not idea what to say. he honestly just wanted to tell her to go away. He realized then that he was in public. He grabbed his phone and checked the time. Pretty soon the park would start filling up and he did not want to continue this in public. "I'm going home, you can be there or not take your pick." His voice was low and though he was giving her a choice subconsciously he knew if she did not come home his anger would only increase tenfold.

"I'm going to go to Vanessa's house for a little while." She said, standing up. She was the one who wanted to go home in the first place, but she wanted him to cool down before they began to have their talk. "Do you want the car?" She asked taking out the keys. The apartment was only two miles away and she didn't mind walking since Vanessa's was on the way.

He felt the anger running through his veins when she said she was going to her friends house. He took a deep breath to hold his tongue. He walked off slowly, "Take the car I don't care." he walked off not bothering to listen to anymore of her talking. He continued walking to the apartment and walked down. When he saw her pass he looked away completely ignoring her. After she had passed he returned home. He walked in and turned on the radio blaring his new nickle back cd and laid down on the couch. he stared at the ceiling his anger rushing through his veins as he waited for Maya to get home.

She arrived at Vanessa's, entering her house like she always did. Vanessa was sitting with blonde hair in her face as she wrote out some more letters to her family and friends. Vanessa was getting married and had to get all of the invites out. "Hey" She said without looking up. Maya sat next to her and began to help with the card making.

About half an hour of chatting and letter making later Maya decided to go home. "See you later." Maya called as she exited the house. She got into the car and drove the three minutes home. She unlocked the door and entered the second floor apartment. She locked it agian after being in. "Jason? I'm back." She said, hanging up her scarf and entering the living room to be greeted by music.

He sighed deeply as he heard her key fumbling with the lock. He reached next to the couch and unplugged the master phone and went back to his position staring at the ceiling. When she announced her presence all he had to say was, "About time you got home. How was Vanessa's." he spoke harshly as he said he friends name as if it was an insult. he thought she may have gotten the hint to come home with him but she didn't or she just didn't care. Either way his anger had already reached his peak.

"Well, we made some progress on her invitations. Nice to see you too." She said, sitting on the arm of the couch by his feet. She could tell by his sarcasm in her friends name that he was yet to calm down. She looked at him, not saying anything just observing.

"Well I thought you might have caught the hint that you should have come home but guess I wasn't hinting good enough for you to understand." He sat up moving away from her. He stood and went to the kitchen grabbing one of his beer and returning to the couch. It was not like him to drink unless Maya was as well but in his angered state he did not care. He popped it open taking a big swig of it before setting it on the table by the couch and taking a seat. He did not care what she had to say anymore.

When he got up to get a beer she became worried. She was tired of him being so difficult. She sat closer to him and took a small sip of his beer before setting it back to the small table. "Why would I want to come home if you're going to ignore me anyways. I may as well have spent this time with Nessa at lest she would talk to me." She said, standing up and walking towards the large window in the living room.

"Well maybe I didn't want to have this conversation in public, did you ever think about that!" He exclaimed. "Its not like it matters you would have gone over there even if I told you to come home." He grabbed his beer chugging about half of it this time. He got up and walked to the fridge and grabbed another. He quickly chugged the rest of his first and chucked it to the trash popping open his second. He returned to his spot on the couch setting his beer back on the table.

She sighed as she heard him get his second beer. She tapped her fingers on the pane of the window. "Don't assume things. If you would have straight up asked me to come home I would have and you know it. I didn't come home right away so I could give you some time to cool down." She said as she watched others come and go in the middle of the nice day. She turned around and looked at the table.

By the time she had finished talking and turned around he had already downed over half of his second beer and was all ready feeling the buzz. "Yea well like I said I thought you would be smart enough to know what I meant by that." He got up and walked over to her stumbling a little. "Looks like I overestimated you." He said now standing directly in front of her.

That was a hard hit. She wasn't the one throwing mixed signals left and right, yet it all turned back in that direction. "Likewise." Was all she had to say. She knew he was getting tipsy and she was getting tired of being surrounded by the atmosphere that the apartment was carrying. She would have loved to go to somewhere secluded until she was confident in being around him again, but he was blocking her way out. She huffed a sigh and walked around, stopping at the table. "I'm going out."
