Damien smiled at Lanna politely, who was now walking next to him. He'd known her for a long time. Not too personally, but they'd been at school together for as long as he could remember. They never knew each other too well, but she was always just there. He felt bad about never saying anything together before. Although, whether he felt bad because she seemed nice, or because she was seriously attractive, he wasn't sure. It felt weird now. He hoped he hadn't upset her in any way. Maybe she hadn't even noticed. She was only out there with him now because Harlie was there, right?
He looked over at Harlie, who looked pissed, uncomfortable and upset. He wasn't sure why. Obviously there was something going on between Harlie and Lanna, but it seemed like there was more than that. He looked at her, standing there in his jacket, which almost swallowed her, and smiled. It was strange. She suddenly seemed so defenceless and innocent with her emotions written all over her face instead of her usual smug look. She wasn't biting heads off or being super bitchy. It just wasn't right seeing her so upset.
"The park sounds good," He replied absently, snapping out of it when Lanna's hand brushed against his. He smirked, clearly both proud and amused. He wasn't quite sure if Lanna was doing this because she liked him or because she didn't really like Harlie.
"Would she really try and use me to make Harlie jealous?" He thought. He looked Lanna up and down, before looking down at the pavement.
"..Not that I'd complain.."
