Wally sat on his bed wondering how the day would turn out. It was the first day of the new school year. He had transferred into the school about 3/4ths of the way through the school year. This year he was planning on joining the swim team, but other then that he didn't know what to expect. Standing up the redhead made his way over to the wardrobe the teen began to look through the drawers to figure out what to wear. Sighing Wally pulled out a pair of black boxer briefs, a pair of faded blue jeans with a hole in the right knee and a rather tight black T-shirt, with a deep V. Walking into the bathroom that was adjacent to his bedroom Wally turned the shower on. Wally had slept nude the night before so he had no need to remove his clothes before stepping under the spray of the shower head.

After showering and dressing himself the teen went down stairs, ate breakfast with his aunt and uncle. When his uncle offered to drive him to school Wally shook his head and said he'd like to walk to school today while it was still summer weather. Putting on a black wind breaker Wally grabbed his bag and said a quick good bye to his aunt and uncle before leaving their home. The redhead frowned when he noticed the dark clouds. "Great, it's probably going to rain later." The teen said as he rolled his eyes and began his trek to school. Something his aunt has said the day before about trying to make a few friends this year. Wally stopped at the corner waiting for the light to change. Sighing Wally dreaded his first class after homeroom...Math. Wally hated math, he was terrible at it.

Silos groaned and smashed his fist down on the alarm clock beside his bed. Sitting up, he ran his hands heavily down his face. Not a morning person by a long shot, and another horrible night's sleep didn't help... Sighing, he heated the shower as he stepped out of his boxers, and began brushing his teeth. If he didn't hurry, he'd be late for homeroom. The torrent of hot water woke him up slightly, washing his hair and body quickly, finishing his teeth he jumped out, drying off as he rummaged around his room, grabbing various things he'd need for class. Stepping into blue boxers, and tugging on the usual dark wash jeans, he grabbed the first shirt he saw in his drawer, today's being white. Glancing out the window, he also grabbed a red hoodie. Shouldering his bag, Silos tied up the laces on his Asics deftly, before jogging out the door. He was halfway down the block, before he realized he'd forgotten his math notebook. Groaning again at his wonderful luck, he sprinted back, skidding to grab a bagel as well, before he was out the door again.

Walking in, Silos smiled. Exactly four minutes early. He continued down the hall, waiting for first bell to ring, waving at the people who greeted him. Making his way to homeroom he smiled at the teacher, then glanced around, taking in the familiar faces and chose a seat at the back of the class. No assigned seating had its perks for those who arrived before the bell. Not many did, but he didn't particularly mind. He was good with siting silently, just as he was comfortable with making conversation.

Walking into the school Wally looked about seeing a few people greeting friends and catching up on what happened over the summer break. Rolling his eyes Wally went over and placed his jacket and excess belongings in his locker. Looking at his phone Wally noticed that there was only a few minutes until class would start so he decided to just head for homeroom, no point waiting in the halls with nothing to do. Maybe he'd even get a window seat if he went early enough.

Walking into the room though he saw a few others had thought the same as him, in the back there was a rather tall boy that he could have sworn he had seen around a few times before. The guy was, well...hot. Looking around Wally caught sight of an empty seat by the window and walked over to it, placing his bag down below the desk and sat down. His desk was close to the back, and relatively close to the hot guy, but not so close that it would look like he intentionally picked it to be near him. After all he just wanted to look out the window.

Silos took another bite out of his bagel, determined to finish it before the bell rang. His fervid chewing slowed when another student walked in. Quickly adverting his eyes, Silos watched him out of his peripheral, noting the lean muscles and the way he moved... He was getting closer.. Oh, my luck seems to be getting better... The boy chose a seat one up from him and a row over, near the window.

Silos smiled, bagel forgotten. Getting up, he moved to take the empty seat beside the boy, flashing a grin. The redhead seemed to either be purposefully ignoring him, or dozing off watching the outside world. Silos' eyes rose curiously to look at what the boy was staring at. The campus lawn and... Clouds. Huh. "Hey, I'm Silos. Nice to meet you." He extended a hand for the boy to take, if he wished. "I haven't seen you around before, I make it a point to greet new faces." He smiled, then his eyes flicked up to the boy's hair, curious. "Is that.. Your real hair color?"

A woman with curly black hair and deep brown eyes walked into the room, her eyes scaning for anything out of the ordinary, such as clothes on the floor, dishes, or any garbage. She smiled happily when she saw that the only thing left undone was the bed, but she soon found the cause, a young man with strange colored eyes was still wrapped tightly in the sheet. Leting out an amused sigh, she walked over to the lump before gently shaking him saying, "Hola, la cabeza del Sr. sueño, levántate, tu vas a llegar tarde a la escuela."

Groaning a bit, Dimitri's voice was barely above a whisper, "Vamos, Maria cinco más ... espera, la escuela tengo que ir a la escuela! Gracias mamá." The last part coming out slightly louder. Maria's eyebrows raised a bit when he called her his mother but she shrugged it off and So did he. Dimitri soon flew off the bed and headed to his closet to grab some clothes, Maria knew she was no longer needed so she left the boy to his business.

When Dimirti reached his closet he grabbed the first out fit he saw, a tight black tee with white rose designs and a pair of blue acid wash skinny jeans, and ran into the shower adjacent to his room. He then took a quick shower, bushed his teeth and hair, got dressed and ran back outside to put on socks and a pair of white vaans with vlack skull designs on it. Then quickly put on a dark grey wind breaker and ran downstairs.

Downstairs, Maria had a warm strawberry Pilsbury toaster struedle for her little Demi, her own peraonally nickname for Dimitri. When the boy saw the small breakfast he gave Maria a light kiss on the cheek and said thank you, grabbed the flakey treat and ran outside.

He had to run all the way to school, when he reached the school he was out of breath and panting heavily. He had about five minutes to get to class, so he decided to take his time making sure to catch his breath before walking in. Entering the class, he almost immediately spotted Silos and took the seat beside him, waving a silent hello to the redhead who was partially hidden by Silos' head.

Wally stared up at the clouds waiting for it to rain. He knew it was going to at some point he just hoped there was no thunder. He still remembered the day when he was five when he had cried on his mother's shoulder because he was afraid of the lightning and his drunken father had thrown him out in the rain so he would stop bothering him.

"Shh it's alright baby mommy's here you don't have to worry about the lightning. It wont hurt you." Wally's mother said. She had a few wrinkles on her face from years of worry about something. The wrinkles went well with her blond hair which was slowly turning grey. What it was Wally didn't know but he was glad that his mother was there to help him through the storm. The loud noises would shake the windows and scare him even more then the monster in his closet did. Sniffling the young boy nodded to his mother before yelping in pain as someone grabbed onto his small arm and yanked him backwards forcefully. "Y'er never gonna tough'n 'im up like that you dumb bitch. Gotta make him face his fears 'eah on! Now don't come back in till ya aint scared of a little fucking lightning!" The burly brown haired man said as he opened the kitchen door pushed Wally down the few steps they had before locking the door behind him. "Daddy? DADDY! P-PLEASE LET ME IN! DADDY!? I'M SORRY DADDY PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME OUT HERE!" Wally had screamed but he was only met with silence from the other end of the door.

The redhead had decided to stay underneath the big tree they had in the beneath the corner of their yard. He had stayed there all night shivering in the cold and scared out of his mind. He had wet himself when a bolt of lightning stuck the center of the yard leaving a scorch mark. He had felt the heat from the bolt from where he sat...

Shaking his head Wally returned his attention back to the real world as the hot guy, Silos as he introduced himself sat down and extended his hand to him. Looking between the hand and the man a few times Wally took it and shook it. "Wally. I transferred here late last year so it's understandable that you don't know me, I don't know a lot of people." The red head said with a bit of a smile. When the other man asked about his hair Wally moved a bit away from him. "Yes it is. I got it from my...father." Wally said as he played with his hair a bit, feeling more then a little uncomfortable at the moment. When he spotted another attractive man walk in and wave at him before sitting next to Silos Wally waved back a bit awkwardly.

The kid seemed to shrink away from him at his inquiry, hand reaching up to travel through his red strands. "I've never seen someone with red hair... It looks good on you." Silos said carefully, his smile a bit lopsided. Perhaps the boy was just shy. Wally had waved over his shoulder, Silos raised a brow and looked back, eyes meeting with silvery green and blue. "Oh, Dimitri!" Silos greeted, then dropped his voice, remembering the brown-haired boy didn't like loud noises. "I'm glad you're in my homeroom this year." He grinned, then his eyes fell to the boy's hand. "Toaster strudel? Guh... No fair.."

Gesturing towards the red-haired student, Silos gave Dimitri a encouraging look. "This is Wally. Wally, Dimitri..." Turning forward in his seat so they could greet each other, he glanced over to the redhead. "He's soft spoken, but sweet when you get to know him." Letting them speak if they wished, Silos slipped his pack off, rummaging within it, and pulled out a paper. He set his bag on the ground, holding up his class schedule. "Do you guys want to compare? Its good to have people you know in your classes. Makes them easier." He flashed Wally a friendly smile. "I think.." Silos glanced down at the paper. "I've got math after this... Then english and a free period before lunch. After that, Phys Ed and science... With Ms. Toyama." Checking the name of the teacher twice, he gave a low drawn-out groan, muttering. "Of course. Just my luck.."

Dimitri smiled shyly at the redhead's wave, although he had a feeling that would tell Silos that someone was behind him. So he prepared himself for the raised voice, but that didn't stop him from flinching at first. He still wasn't used to all of his energy, but Silos meant well. When the other complained about the toaster struedle, Dimitri simply tore it in two and handed a piece to Silos. "Share." Was the only word he said, albeit a whisper so quiet he barely heard it himself.

Then Silos introduced the redhead to him, although he couldn't help but blush when the dark haired boy called him sweet. When Silos leaned forward, Dimitri stuck his hand out for wally to shake but pulled back when he noticed the wind breaker and shirt pulled back on his arm, revealing an ugly hand shaped bruise.

He didn't want to think about it but, his mind disobeyed him as the memory of the night before flashed in his head. His father had come home drunk, a normality for the past six months, just when Maria had said something to excite the boy. "Tomorrow's school right, you'll get to see Silos again." Dimitri couldn't hide the embarrassed yet happy blush on his face and said, a little louder than he normally would, "Yeah, I hope this is a good year. I'm planning to try and meet more people and talk more." However, that's when his dad walked in yelling, "Eh! Shit fer' rains. Whaddit I tell yuh 'bout talkin'!" before gripping the boy by his forearm, before punching him in the gut. After that, the beating was brutal, he heard Maria try to stop his father but all that earne her was the black eye she was sporting this morning. He was amazed he was even able to move this morning, let alone run all the way to school.

Dimitri had already memorized his schedual but kept it in his satchel in case Silos wanted to compare, it was a good thing too.

Wally blinked a few times at what Silos had said. He....liked his hair? He'd never seen a redhead before? That was...odd. Granted looking around there weren't any other redheads in the classroom. He was more used to being called a ginger, getting kicked, and told he had no soul even though he didn't have freckles and knew that made him a 'day walker' according to that show that started the damn kick a ginger day that his father loved so much. When Silos greeted Dimitri Wally wondered why he suddenly dropped his voice after wards but chose not to comment on it.

Wally smiled a bit as he nodded to Dimitri this time. "Hello. I'm Wally...I'm new-ish. Transferred in late last year. It's nice to meet you." The red head said as he extended his hand across to shake hands with Dimitri but he pulled his hand back. Wally could have sworn he saw a hand shaped bruise on the boy's arm and held up his own hand and pointed at a few scars, silently trying to let the other know that he knew how he felt. The boy was also really cute. He could get used to having eye candy like this in his class. When Silos pulled out his class sheet Wally retrieved his own and looked it over. "Well I have Math next with...Mr.Yamano. Then I have english and...huh? Are...are we in all the same classes?" Wally asked as he leaned over and looked at Silos' schedule side beside with his own. Blinking a few times Wally looked over at Dimitri to see if he had also gotten an identical list, if so that would be a freakish coincidence a potentially happy one, but still a really strange coincidence.

"Aw, thanks D. You didn't have to." He gratefully bit into the gooey, flaky treat. Mmm.. "See? Sweet as a toaster strudel." He chuckled around a mouthful of pastry, eyes flicking over Wally's schedule as he looked over his. That was strange.. all the teacher's names were the same... He.. what? "Wow, look at that." Silos mumbled, staring at the identical papers. Then whipped his head with a bright smile towards Dimitri, before quickly giving him an apologetic look and moving slower. He held out his schedule. "Do you have any classes with us?" Silos asked hopefully.

The bell rang, students slowly filing in and filling up the classroom. The school's news broadcast was switched on.

Dimitri frowned sadly to Wally when he saw the scars, but couldn't help himself from laughing at Silos' joke, sure it was corny but it was cute too, however the laugh wasn't exactly that, it was more of a silent exhaling through his nose. Then when Silos whipped his head around, he cringed at the quick motion but relaxed at his apologetic smile.

When he took the schedual Silos handed to him, after looking at it his eyes widened in shock. The only class they had different was Silos' free period, Dimitri had a creative writing class with Mrs. Edwards. An amazing teacher, although she was a bit of a hard ass, or at least that's what he had heard around school.

Wally hoped that Dimitri wouldn't mention the scars as it seemed Silos hadn't noticed it. Wally noticed the apologetic smile silos shot Dimitri for having turned to quickly or something and Wally began to figure out that loud noises and fast movements would startle the man and freak him out a bit like him self and lightning. Hoping that he could be friends with the two Wally smiled to Dimitri as his eyes widened. "I believe that is a yes." Wally said with a bit of a grin. "Well in that case I hope we can become friends." Wally said with a smile before looking over at the television screen to catch the student news. It would be bad if he missed something important because he wasn't paying attention. However thus far it just seemed to be them welcoming back the students and telling them what was for lunch. One of the news castors mentioned the weather and mentioned that there was a high chance of a thunderstorm later on in the day. Wally shivered at the thought and hoped that he would be home before it happened he didn't want to have a freak out while at school.

Silos laughed, feeling like his morning was getting better already. "Great, the school Registrar must love me or something... This is amazing." Hearing Wally's comment he grinned back. "Of course, we're practically destined to." His laughter calming down, Silos shook his head. It was absolutely absurd he had decided to greet the cute kid, fate turning out to have interfered. Better yet, Dimitri would share his classes as well. It was going to be a great year... He set his head in his hand as the morning bulletin droned on, his eyes dropping. Soon he was dozing off, as the chatter of the class molded with the broadcast. A great year... if only he could deal with his insomnia.

Wally blinked a few times as he looked back at Silos. He seemed to have dozed off. Looking over at Dimitri Wally raised an eyebrow as he pointed at Silos. "Should we wake him up?" Wally said as he leaned over and tapped Silos's shoulder gently. "Uhh...Silos? Dude? Wake up it's almost time for math class." Wally said poking him a few more times as he looked over at Dimitri. He really did think that the other teen needed to wake up, otherwise he would be late and possibly get in trouble for being late.

Seeing Silos doze off, he knew that he hadn't been getting enough sleep lately. Dimitri knew that Silos needed his sleep but he also needed to get his ass to math class. So he decided to do the only thing that would wake him up whe he was this out of it, but before that he put up a hand, telling Wally to leave him alone. Then leaned over and whispered into Silos' ear, "Silos, get up or I'm never sleeping with you again." He knew it sounded wrong and that Wally probably heard him, but he had known about Silos' sleeping condition for a while and has helped him through it. Although it only ever got to holding hands in bed.

Blushing a bright beet red, he shook his head and mouthed the words 'It's not what you think' although no sound escaped his lips.

mmh... Was someone poking him? What was that noise? Ugh, he was tired... Silos shifted, but didn't open his eyes. Then soft breath fluttered against his ear. Dimitri's voice. He listened. Wai- Wha? Brown eyes opened immediately, then closed as he ran his hand over his face, mumbling. "That's not even funny Dimitri..." He cracked a smile, looking over at his friend, noting the blush on his face. "What?" Then Silos looked around at the emptying classroom. "Oh shit. We have to go. Were you guy's waiting for me?" He asked as he shoved his papers back in his bag, standing quickly and shouldering it. "Sorry, I'll show you to class."

They got to Mr. Yamano's on time, a few minutes before the bell rang. Luckily it was a small class, leaving a few empty seats open. Silos caught sight of three adjacent seats, two beside each other, one in front. He took the single front seat, letting Dimitri and Wally sit beside each other if they chose to. Of course, they could find a separate seat if they wished, but true to form, Silos imposed himself by smiling and gesturing to the seats behind him.

The bell rang, the student chatter falling quiet as the teacher walked in.

Wally raised an eyebrow as Dimitri motioned for him to stop. Complying Wally wondered what the brunette was planning on doing though when he spoke Wally's eyebrow raised even more. Sleeping together? Oh...OH! They had that kind of-wait no, he said it wasn't what he thought. Damn. Wally was half hoping he could watch one day. Hey he had hormones and they were both HOT. When Silos regained consciousness and motioned for them to get to math class Wally followed.

When Silos motioned for them to sit down at a desk the redhead again followed and sat down with a bit of a coy smile on his face. "So...if it wasn't what I was thinking then what did that mean Dimitri? And why did it work on waking up Silos?" Wally asked softly as the class rabble died down. Ugh Math, this was going to be the worst class ever.

Dimitri was still blushing when he heard Silos' reaction, although it didn't stop him from quietly laughing about it. Although, when Silos asked his question, whether it was redundant or not, the brunnette simply nodded and began walking to class.

When they reached the Math class, Dimitri was a bit startled by Wally's question and just blushed furiously before taking the seat beside him and pointing to Silos. He was hoping the redhead would understand that he meant for him to ask Silos himself.

Then the teacher, Mr. Yamano walked in and toward his desk, once that was done, he slammed his hands on the table and yelled "Shut up and listen you little ingrates!" However, by then Dimitri was gone, huddled in his desk, shrinking in fear quietly mumbling "Sorry Daddy, I didn't mean to talk." Tears slowly staining his cheeks, however they were stragetically hidden by his bangs, which obsorbed much of the liquid, but he was still trembling fiercly. One would think he was going through withdrawls from how badly the chakes were.

Silos sighed as the teacher walked in, he already didn't like him. Burly and short with a beer belly and big bushy eyebrows that seemed to be suspended in perpetual angst. He pulled out his notebook from his bag, redying a pencil for notes and flipping to a clean page. He was startled as the man's voice boomed through the class, large pudgy hands slamming down onto his desk for everyone's attention. Silos' face darkened, frowning slightly. Didn't look like math was going to be a class he enjoyed...

Mr. Yamano grunted out class rules and protocol. A whole bunch of established BOE bullshit Silos tuned out. He heard mumbling behind him, glancing over his shoulder to see Dimitri shaking silently, slouched in his seat. Silos thanked his luck that their sets were far enough back, and the teacher seemed to be yelling at a student on the other side of the class for chewing gum. "Hey... D, it's alright.." He reached out slowly to brush his hand gently over the boy's head. "It's okay.. I'm here. I won't let anyone hurt you." He whispered, glancing back to the teacher. "Shh... You're safe." Silos frowned, wiping the tears away and trying to offer a comforting smile. He ground his teeth, annoyed he wasn't able to give the boy a hug or make the teacher lower his loud, crass voice.

Wally glared at the man. He reminded him of his father. The redhead knew he wasn't going to like the class going in on nothing more then it was fucking math, now he knew he wouldn't like it because of this douche-bag. When he heard muttering beside him Wally noticed Dimitri's state and glared harder at the man as he place a comforting arm around the shaking boy's shoulders. "Uhh...there there? Sorry I'm not good at condolences....but Silos is right we are here and no one is going to hurt you....and if your dad is hurting you my aunt and uncle wouldn't mind if you stayed with us. Kinda the reason I'm there anyways." Wally said dropping his voice down low so Dimitri would be the only one to hear the last part. He wouldn't really mind if Silos heard it, but it still wasn't something he wanted to advertise, much like Dimitri was obviously trying not to advertise how upset he was at the moment.

Dimitri was utterly terrified by the teachers actions, he was shaking so bad just mumbling to himself. Images of that day flashed in his mind, of his father using everything and anything he could find to beat him with. Lamps, books, fists, he had kicked the boy so much, hurt him until it hurt to breath. He thought he was going to die that night. His breath was coming out shallow and ragged and,he,couldn't hear anything but what had happaned that night, and when Silos touched him, he flinched , terrified of the pain that he thought was coming. He was begging to calm down a bit when he felt another hand on his arm, making him flinch more as he leaned into Silos' hand whispering, "Please, don't let him hurt me. I can't take the beating, I don't want another bottle broken on my head. Please." All the while his eyes were glazed over, he didn't see the people in the room, all he saw was his father looming over himwhith a lamp in his hand, ready to smash it against the boys fram, and Maria behind him, trying to protect him until his father knocked her out with the lamp instead.

He remembered trying to crawl away, althou it was useless, his father simply grapped his legs and dragges him to the couch before stomping on the boys body. by the end of the night, all Dimitri could feel was pain, there was nothing but the searing, white hot pain. However, the last thing he remembered feeling was the pain of hot metal on his flesh searing and branding him for life. Even now he could feel the pain on his left shoulder blade, where the man he was forced to call his father had branded the single letter 'O' telling him it stood for obamination.

Aw, shit... Dimitri was in another of his shakes. With one last glance towards the teacher, Silos took a chance and turned fully around, both hands grasping the boy's face. "Dimitri." His tone low, solid, Silos leveled his face with his friend's. "Open your eyes. You're safe. We're at school, see?" He wiped the tears away with his thumbs, then looked down at the hoodie atop his bag. "Here..." He unzipped it and put the red jacket around the boy's shoulders. The boy's father was such a bastard. Dimitri hadn't wished to speak much about him to Silos. He didn't speak much at all... but when he did it was enough for him to catch on. "You can come over after school if you want to," He whispered, then glanced over at Wally, uncomfortable brown eyes trying to explain. "He, uh... He doesn't like loud noises. Reminds him of his father." He didn't know exactly what went on, but he had caught glimpses of dark bruises on Dimitri's pale skin before. Bruises that infuriated him, but one's the brunette covered up.

"Mr. Levesque! Is there a problem?" Silos set his jaw, straightening and turning around with a smile. He sat up tall, broad shoulders enough to block Dimitri from sight. "No, Sir." "Then would you mind telling me what I just said?" Silos racked his brain, though his smile didn't falter. "Respect, Sir." He recited formally. "Students shall respect their peers and teachers in order to create a wholesome learning environment." He succeeded in keeping his voice respectful, though he was biting his tongue at the irony. Do you teachers have any rules of conduct? Mr. Yamano humphed, tone acidic. "Sit facing forward during class Mr Levesque." "Yes sir." "Don't call me sir." "Yes Mr. Yamano." Irked, the teacher turned to start the lesson on the board, Silos relaxed somewhat, looking back over his shoulder quickly.

Wally frowned as Dimitri continued to shake and have a bit of a panic attack. The redhead glared at the teacher, though he was ignored though as Mr.Yamano began his lesson. The second the teacher turned around to start his lecture Wally leaned forward when Silos turned around. "I think he wanted you to call him Miss.Yamano." Wally said jokingly as he sat back and nudged the brunette beside him with a smile. "Don't worry Dimitri I know how you feel. I have issues with lightning." The redhead said with a bit of a smile hoping that by offering up a bit of personal information would help the brunette calm down knowing he wasn't the only one with issues. Pulling out his notebook Wally leaned back and began to doodle pretending to pay attention to the teacher. Honestly he wondered just what was going on at Dimitri's home, he just hoped it wasn't like his own experiences.

Dimitri was still in his own little world when Silos tried to shake him out of it. He managed to hear the last part of his sentence. Although he still couldn't stop his shaking, even with the sweater on him, however he managed to stop when Wally nudged him. He even managed to hear his sentence.

Taking a deep shaky breath, he managed to talk, although his voice was much quieter than his normally, if it was even possible. So he repeated it constantly, until he was finally loud enought to be heard, "Quiet. Quiet. Quiet..." Then started covering his ears to block out the teacher's loud voice while he calmed down.

When he was calm enought to talk a little better he whispered, "Get me out of here, please, get me out of here." Leaning toward Silos while looking at Wally.
