Tessa rubbed her arms as she slowly walked along the road wondering how the police made the judgment call they had. She hadn't thrown the party nor did she even want to be there in first place. Yes, she was naive that she'd taken a sip of the drink some random stranger had given her, but it hadn't been on purpose. She just hadn't been thinking and without realizing it she carelessly sipped the beverage. How was she to know that it had been drugged on top of things? It was impossible for her to have known such things plus her school should've been regulating such things anyway. Shouldn't they be taking some of the blame?
Upset, frightened, Tessa just kept walking. She knew she wasn't safe staying where she was. Hell, she wasn't safe anywhere inside the walls of Miami Prison. She was a target and she knew it. Given that, it was best to keep moving and hope no one noticed her. As she trudged on, her mind wandered on what was going to become of her. From she was standing, things looked pretty bleak. She wondered if she'd last more than a week before something bad happened. Just then she shivered as all the possibilities ran through her mind.
Suddenly, Tessa heard a sound that made her jump a little. Ducking behind a dumpster, she saw a brunette who looked even more frightened than she did and definitely just as new to the place as she was. And from the looks of it, just as innocent of crime. She wondered if possibly the girl wouldn't mind someone to walk with after all, she knew she certainly could use the company. Biting down on her lip, she dared to try and flag the girl down, taking care not to scare her any more than she already seemed to be.
"H-hello?" Tessa called out, her voice timid. "I... I won't hurt you. I... I'm new too... I... I'm Tessa." Slowly, Tessa came out from behind the dumpster, her hands held up so that the brunette could see she was unarmed and helpless. "Please? I'm scared and could use a friend to walk with... w-would you mind?"
