Shipwrecked

Teyha was about a second away from snapping irritably at the dwarf, and perhaps using a nasty spell of her own when the science officer cut in, casting a spell with a single sharp word. For a moment the girl just stared at the Elf, sensing the pull of magic, but blind to the weaveless magic his kind used. The effect of his spell was immediately clear when she glanced back at the dwarf, who was trying quite comically to make any sound at all.

Like an ancient video program the man made exaggerated gestures and hand signs, but still no sound emerged fro his mouth. Teyha had to admit it was one of the funniest things she had seen since boarding the ship, and she openly laughed, not caring if she hurt the perverse dwarf's feelings. After a good minute she was still giggling, putting in no effort to hide what she found so amusing. "Both of you actually." Teyha admitted when she finally sobered enough to speak. "Just out of curiosity, you know." She smiled again, retreating back to her usual shy nature.

((Short, sorry. :( ))

"I see," Frank said with a slow smile. "Well, so much for subtlety, eh?" He crossed over to Teyha and turned to Aldarras. "Something from your world might work nicely about now."

The Science Officer shook his head and sighed. "Very well, although I have not yet answered Miss Teyha's question and think you are jumping to conclusions as to what my response would be."

Anderson laughed. "Nope. Not a bit. I know you, and your tastes. That's why I'm moving in quickly. So, if you would....?" Aldarras nodded and punched several buttons on a console near him. The lighting in the room dimmed slightly and a revolving set of spotlights dropped from the ceiling to slowly turn and make a mobile pattern of light and dark about the walls and floor.

"Nice touch," Frank said as music began playing over the ship's PA system. He offered an arm to Teyha and bowed slightly. "I think it safe to say we both have an interest in choosing you. But, for now, would you like to dance while we wait on Newell and Kaura?

----------

Meanwhile, amid the ship's lockers, the young navigator and pilot finally drew out a large, thin, carboard box with a faded image on its top of people entangled among themselves. "Aha! I was right! Let's see what we have," Newell exclaimed.

He opened the box and found the rubber mat and spinner for the game, as well as a piece of paper folded into a pamphlet that contained the rules for playing. "I'll just bring everything along, but I think we'll be playing by our own rules."

On the way back to the conference/mess hall, music began playing through the ship's speakers. It was soft and melodic; the sort of thing that brought springtime and sunrises to mind, and left Newell wishing he had one of his old girlfriends on board to slowly sway together on the dance floor before possibly moving on to other things.

He chuckled.

"I guess the captain's making his move," he said as he was passing by the quarters the women had been assigned.

Nervously the young doctor smiled, "I'm not a subtle person." She admitted as the captain moved towards, and she took a step backwards even as he turned towards the science officer. Quietly they spoke between themselves, not giving an actual response until after the Elf typed a few commands into his console and shifted the atmosphere of the room. The overhead lights softened, replaced by spotlights that held no purpose on the salvage ship. They spun slowly, casting dazzling patterns of light across the room to match the addition of a slow and melodious music that seemed to urge the body to move all on it's own.

Stunned Teyha stared at the captain's arm, grateful that the change in lighting hid the sudden pink in her cheeks. "You're both mad, you know that." The girl commented, but hesitantly stepped forward to not offend the captain. Following her friend's advice she let herself draw close to him, trembling fingers settling on his arm as she ducked her head in a slight bow of her own. "I'm afraid I have to left feet and not an ounce of grace to me." She admitted truthfully, trying to smile humorously. "Kaura's always been the dancer, I've more preferred to sing myself." Still she turned to face him, her eyes lowered to their feet while her other hand settled lightly on his shoulder, to keep a good two or three inches separating their bodies.

~~

It didn't take long for Kaura to prepare for the evening, changing into the simple jumpsuit she found in one of the storage closets. It wasn't to her usual taste, fitting too snugly across her bosom and hips for even her comfort, but it was a good bit better than the long dressed she had been wearing which would have displayed her shamelessly for all the men to see. The young elf was in many ways a good bit wiser than her young witch friend, knowing the difference between openly lewd flaunting, and when nudity was strictly necessary. Such was the case earlier, with her medical exam.

Of course she was also keenly aware of her and her young friend's position on the ship, and what was expected of them to continue to enjoy the men's hospitality. No doubt the younger Teyha saw it as no different than a form of prostitution, buying their life through acts of lust and perversion. In a way the Elf supposed that would be correct, but as in all things there was a dignified way to go about even the most shameful of agreements. That in mind Kaura finished dressing, pinning back what strands of hair escaped the braid, and moved t leave her quarters. She paused briefly at the door when the music sounded, before smiling to herself. It seemed the men aboard were taking to her suggestion well, and the addition of the soft music would only help create a more relaxed environment.

"Ah!" She laughed when the door opened, spotting the young cook from before walking past with the aged game in his hands. She moved towards him, matching his pace in only a few quick step. "Hello again, Newell." She greeted with a kind smile.

"Is that so?" Frank said as he let Teyha settle herself into position within his arms. He slowly began to lead her out onto the makeshift dancefloor; bit by bit he drew her closer to his body. "Perhaps a short concert might make for an interesting result of a wager on our game," he told her. Anderson leaned in a bit and added in a whisper, "Or I could take you somewhere more private and see what songs we might sing together?"

At the corners of the room, Stonehammer and Aldarras watched the couple as they weaved and bobbed about under the spinning strobes. The dwarf mostly grumbled about what was taking Newell so long, while the Science Officer pondered how many dances he should let Frank have with Teyha before cutting in.
"Two or three should be appropriate," he said to himself. More than that and we run the risk of what happened at that Grand Ball on Urigam-5.

----------

Newell started at the sound of someone addressing him. He was unused to having anyone about other than the Dryad's crew--they rarely ever took on passengers--and especially unused to a female voice using his name."Oh,. sorry," he said with a somewhat sheepish smile, "hi Miss Kaura. I see you're ready to play." His eyes played down her body and back up to meet her exotic elven gaze. "You look very nice."

They continued walking and got on a lift down to the deck where the meeting/dining chamber was. Newell stopped at the door and motioned for Kaura to enter the small space first. "After you," he said.

For Teyha at least the dance was quite awkward. She kept her eyes down, focusing on her feet to keep herself from treading across the toes of her dance partner, a look of intense concentration painted across her youthful face. Dancing never came easy to her, the feel of it, the rhythm, timing, and flow escaped her grip, and the added fact of her bumbling clumsiness was the final nail in the coffin the sealed such a hobby away from her. So intently did she stare at their feet she hardly noticed how Frank urged her closer to him, closing the inches until she could feel the light brush of hi body against hers.

Sharply she drew back, back snapping straight as a ruler, and hazel green eyes locking on the man's face. The slightest tinge of a pink flush stained her cheeks, but for the moment she didn't break away from the man completely. "I like singing softer songs not designed for duets." The young woman apologized stiffly. "And I have to be honest, I still want to win the game and chose to pend the night alone." She shrugged slightly, ducking her head again."No offense to you or your crew... I'm sure that besides Stonehammer you're good men, I'm just not fond of having my personal space invaded..."

~~~~
Cheerfully the Elf smiled, looking pleased to see the game ready in the human's hands. Her old ship always used simulations, projections of games that she actively sought out and programmed into the computer to allow for a degree of lightheartedness in the otherwise stern crew. Her smile faded quickly, recalling the deceased even briefly sent a pang of sorrow through the young Sidhe, an almost sickening feeling that tore into her before settling heavily in her chest. Knowing that former friends were gone, remembering old times, old faces, people that one would never know again in this life soured her mood. It was tragic, something that thus far the busied atmosphere aboard the ship and desperate attempts to keep Teyha from clawing at the throats of their rescuers managed to mask at least for a time. The time for mourning was later, Kaura reminded herself quite firmly, tend to the living first, and weep for the dead later.
"Thank you." The woman said almost automatically at the chivalrous gesture, though she had to take a brief moment to understand exactly what the action was. Pretending she had taken the time to brush a wild hair from her face she stepped forward, and immediately blinked, full lips twitching up into a smile when she saw none other than her hardheaded witch friend wrapped in the arms of the captain, bobbing to the beat of the music. "I can't say I was expecting that." She chuckled, smiling back at the younger man. "I wonder if she's been drugged again."
Newell smiled at getting Kaura to speak to him. It had only been a simple thank you, but the number of times the young naviagator/pilot had managed to successfully bring himself to say anything to even a moderately cute woman was still small, and Kaura and Teyha were certainly better looking than that. He hoped something might spark, but wasn't totally opposed to pressing their salvage claim.
Not as crassly as Stonehammer did, though. He's such a dwarf, sometimes.
The trip up in the small lift had been silent. Newell's unwillingness to break the enchanted feeling that Kaura's words was part of it, but mostly it was the way he was reduced to speechlessness at being so close to her. He was content to carry the game box and follow along, breathing in the freshly showered scent of the woman before him.
The music caught his attention before they'd opened the door to the Mess, but he had not really thought he would find the captain and Miss Teyha dancing. She had seemed a little put out by the thought of contact with them all--especially after what happened while she'd been sleeping, and he thought the captain had his eye on Miss Kaura.
Newell's face broke into a wide smile and his eyes opened a little as the impact of that last thought broke against him. Maybe I have better odds than I thought. Cool. Kaura's comment slipped in and he shrugged.
"I wouldn't expect Captain and Mr Aldarras would do that," Newell said without realizing the rhetorical nature of Kaura's words. "Well, unless you thought it would help her relax and get into the spirit of things, that is."
~~~~~

Across the room, Anderson was matching Teyha's brown-green gaze with his own steel-grey one and smiled at her. "Yes, we could all tell that," he said, "but I hope you can control that dislike while we play. Twister will be nothing but personal space invasion." He shifted the hand that was about the doctor's back lightly and then drew back his arm to bring her in close again.

"Sort of like dancing, without music or rhythm."

Behind him, Aldarras cleared his throat and Anderson turned to regard the Science Officer. "Newell and Kaura have returned," the elf said with a nod towards the open doorway. "It would seem our game is imminent."

Frank sighed lightly and stepped back from Teyha. He bowed and kissed her hand. "Thank you for the dance. I hope there may be more to come in the future." Anderson waved to the pair entering the Mess. "Newell! D'ya find it?"

"Sure did, Captain."

"Well, set it up then."

"Yessir."

A small chuckle escaped from Frank as he turned to look back at Aldarras. The Science Officer merely shrugged in a way that was almost unnoticeable if you hadn't been right up on him like Frank and Teyha were. The doctor could sense something of an in-joke between them regarding the ship's pilot. Newell, however, had come in and set right to opening the box he carried and beginning to unfold a large sheet of what appeared to be a type of plastic decorated with a grid of different coloured shapes.
-----
:cool:

Subtly had never been a strong quality in the young witch, who tended to allow her feelings either show plain, or bury them altogether. Still, when the captain smiled at her, eyes the color of polished steel locking onto her own, it was more than obvious what he was planning. His hand strayed own the young woman's back, and with one sweeping movement the captain brought her lithe young body flush against his. The girl hesitated, her own eyes widening a fraction as a rosy flush crept into her cheeks. Her rosebud lips parted, but nothing more than a soft embarrassed noise emerged. Together the pair moved, Teyha helpless to do anything but follow the motion of the man's body as he rocked them in time with the music. The precious space that the young woman had kept gone, but the invasion didn't last long before they were interrupted by the noise made by the science officer.

Teyha turned towards the man as he nodded to the doorway, where her Elven friend gave her a knowing smile while following the young man to begin setting up the game. She flushed darker at the slight knowing smile on the young Elves face, and with a pitched squeak of embarrassment the young woman all but jumped backwards, one foot catching the other in her haste to put distance between herself and the captain, and with a mighty tug she managed to kick her own feet out from under her. With a second squeal, this one startled she started her tumble to the ships hard metal floor. Instinctively she reached out, arms searching for anything that might halt her fall, and she caught hold of the older elf. Whether he was quick enough to catch her himself mattered little, as the young woman gripped him tightly, refusing to let go until she untangled her legs from under her.

Across the room Kaura couldn't help but to laugh, trying to stifle the sound to a soft chuckle as she helped the young crewman set up the game. The soft plastic gameboard was carefully unfolded, and laid out on the floor, where Kaura carefully smoothed it out and pulled several small magnets from her pocket to tack along the sides, to prevent it from sliding across the deck. "Are you sure about that?" She jibbed Newell as they worked, glancing up at her clumsy young friend as she tried desperately to pull herself up, apologizing and making a wide variety of incoherent noises in the process. "If I did not know her better I'd assume she was on something quite strong."

Still smiling to herself she placed the spinner to the side, "And you see why I chose this game." She told the man in an undertone, "Teyha can only barely walk straight when embarrassed, she's never even made it to the second spin in this game."

Anderson's welcome to Newell and Kaura's entrance was curtailed by the way Teyha responded to his kissing her hand. Frank had had women avoid him before; typically when he'd flirted with them and they weren't available or weren't supposed to want to respond. This was the first time in quite a while that one had physically put herself at risk of injury, though. He pivoted and considered revealing his esper qualities to help sooth the doctor's anxiety and panic, but Aldarras was quicker to react.

The Science Officer slipped down low and almost glided across the space between himself and the falling Teyha. Even as he slipped an arm behind her and began hoisting her up, he could feel the grip of her hand on his uniform as she did what she could to right herself. Good...even when scared she keeps her head. And does not let her dislike of being so close to another override her sense of preservation. As Aldarras stood back up, he carried Teyha along with him. He smiled at her with his deeply enchanting eyes as she swiveled in his grasp, legs seeking the floor, thighs and buttocks sliding and pressing against his palms.

Aldarras resisted the urge to close his hands on the doctor's soft flesh, but he cut a glance at the captain over her shoulder and saw the look of recognition and friendly jealously on the human's face. <<I thought you were going to go for the elf>> came the telepathic comment from Anderson. The elf smiled and let his surface thoughts display the idea of playing with either or both of them. Anderson's mental laugh came across clearly. <<You have always been ambitious, but damn Aldarras, I never thought of you as greedy.>>

The exchange was momentary and did not delay the Science Officer from helping Teyha to alight back on her feet and disengage herself from his embrace and then smooth out his tunic from where the doctor had been clutching it. "Are you okay?" he asked quietly as Frank moved towards the couple setting up the game.

----------

Newell nodded as Kaura spoke to him about Teyha's prior experience with Twister and her thoughts on what the doctor's level of possible drug-inducement was. He kept quiet, though, as he was focussing on setting up the playmat and getting the spinner set up--not to mention not knowing what to really say, and unconsciously slipping back to let the captain speak to the elf maiden without him being in the way.

"So," Frank started off, "expalin again how this works. I know something about how Twister plays, but how do your 'bets' work in the scheme of the game? And does each person as they get bumped out of the game have to 'pay up' to someone--or maybe to all of us--or is it just that the winner of the whole game gets to make a demand on one of the losers?"

Truthfully the doctors rather clumsy retreat was nothing new for the young woman, nor was the subsequent fall. What startled the girl far more than the idea of tumbling to the hard steel floor was the sudden reaction of the Elf, whose superior reflexes gave him the edge to stop her descent. He moved to her swiftly, gentle hands wrapping around her body as he used his own to steady her, pressed embarrassingly close as he drew her up and back to her feet.

Reflexively the girl almost kicked away from the man as his hands traveled up her developed legs, firm muscle disappearing into the soft flesh of her round bottom half. She squeezed her eyes closed, a embarrassed squeal breaking from parted lips at the intimate contact, the rosy flush flooding back into her cheeks once again. Once her feet were firmly back on the deck the doctor scrambled back once more, barely able to keep her head enough to remember not to trip over her own feet again. One fall was humiliating, two would seem almost deliberate, if not for the violently embarrassed way the powerful little magic user reacted to the aid.

Before the girl had even thought about her own reaction, she was already flooding herself with the source, feeling the wild surge of magic fill her petite body. She charged the air with electricity, which crackled ominously and whipped it's way around the man who had rescued her, though she delivered no more than a few soft releases of static charge before the magic fled her completely. Rather than looking particularly angry Teyha seemed wholly pitiful, face deepened to a rich plum color, and eyes seeking any safe refuge away the judging eyes she imagined were locked on her after that display. She curled forward slightly, hands pressing firmly against her stomach as though she were about to be ill, trying to force away the very unwelcome flutter that arose when she had found herself in the hands of the Elf. Like a warm flooding in the depth of her body it was a firm reminder of just how unpleasant she found male touches, and their company in general. "I'm fine!" She squeaked, spinning on her heel away from the man to dart back across the room, putting as much distance between herself and the others in the room as she could manage.

~~~~
Across the room Kaura let out a long sigh at the behavior of her young friend, watching sadly as the little girl fled back to her usual childish temper tantrums the moment her personal space was invaded. She did not say a word to her just yet, but made a note to apologize to the other Elf once the game was over. Acts of kindness, however slight, should be met with praise and gratitude, and not the vehement rage that the doctor was showing time and again.
Instead of making the situation worst by reacting immediately, Kaura instead offered a bright smile to the captain. "No, I believe that would make it quite embarrassing should one man lose to another." The Elf responded, humor written on her pixie like face. "No I believe it would be wisest to simply have the top two winners receive a prize, as there are only two of us women to chose from, and I believe it is safe to assume that your crew plans to pick one of us."
The board set up there was little more to do than settle back, and that the girl did, not letting her excitement over the game spill onto her features. "I believe three short games would work best, half playing, then the other half, and the two winners compete to see who receives first pick. Unless either Teyha or myself were to win, I suppose. It would be unfair for one of us to win to have our choice overwritten completely should we come in second place. Does this sound acceptable to you, captain?"
Aldarras raised an eyebrow at Teyha's high-pitched assertion of well being. She is not fine at all. I wonder where this aversion to men comes from? He watched her gather herself back once more and let his eyes follow her lithe and supple, yet stronger than one might expect, form as she seperated herself from both himself, the dwarf, and the others.
The Science Officer could almost understand why the Engineer, Stonehammer, had stepped over the line and molested the witch while she had been incapacitated in Sickbay. He was fairly certain, however, that he would not stoop to forcing himself on her; persuasion and cajoling he did not view as being a form of force.
"Good," he said in response to the girl's statement. "I would not have you harm yourself before the game. That might mean an automatic forfeiture." He smiled across the short distance between him and Teyha and waited to see if she would meet his eyes, then turned to join Captain Anderson and the others.
~~~~~~~~~~

In his designated spot in the room, Stonehammer licked his lips and finished eating. He carefully used a napkin to brush and pat down his thick beard to make sure nothing had gotten caught within it and listened and watched what the rest of the people aboard the Dryad were up to. Knew Ah shoulda used a bigger dose of dem drugs. Den Ah coulda fucked that witch any which way possible and no one woulda known shit. "Meh," he said to himself, "maybe dere'll be a chance fer some action later. Not gonna get anywhere wid dis damn game, dat's fer sure."

~~~~~~~~~~
Anderson nodded as he considered what Kaura was saying about how this game of hers ran. "Sounds like a plan," he said. "So, who's up first then? Shall we find something to serve as 'drawing straws' or just have the 'puter spit out random matches?" He hoped, however it turned out, that he ended up in the set with either Stonehammer or Newell. Aldarras just struck him as being the main competition, with his longer limbs and elven coordination. The speed and skill the elf had just demonstrated in rescuing Teyha from her fall just backed up Frank's summation of the Science Officer's potential.
"And will you be playing first, or your friend?" Anderson added, softly, with a glance across the room at Teyha.
Had Teyha allowed herself the luxury of acting on impulse, she might have made the living conditions far more difficult on her and her Elven friend. Any less control and she would have sent her current running hot through Aldarras, to perfectly illustrate the saying 'no good deed goes unpunished'.
Thankfully, the man didn't seem to notice the edge of static her magic had stirred, and let her move from him without even an edge of protest.
In fact, he only flashed the girl a disarming smile, making it was impossible for even Teyha to fail to notice how stunningly handsome the man was, in the exotic and refined way his people were. For the first time it seemed, she became all too aware that the Elven male was in fact breathtaking. Hair the color of spun gold, pulled back in a long braid to show off his powerful features. High cheekbones, a powerful jawline, and most stunning those brilliant, piercing blue eyes that didn't allow for retreat...
Despite herself, Teyha swallowed hard, refusing to allow her gaze to dip down, and examine the muscular body of her savior, so ineffectively hidden by the close fitting jumpsuit the crew wore.
Not content with just sending a shiver running up the witch's spine, he joked gently about her forfeiting the game due to injury, the implications of such an event sending the blood rushing back to her cheeks once more. Compelled by him now, the girl turned to face the man, hesitantly raising her eyes to meet his. Her lips twitched in the briefest flicker of a smile, shy though it was. "I'm not going to lose that easily."
It was a short lived exchange, and Teyha turned away once more, hiding away in the corner to watch the others prepare for their battle. If she was being truthful to herself, she would have to admit there was no possibility of her being able to win at a game like twister. Kaura knew it well too, and had likely selected the game for the sole purpose of forcing Teyha's hand, and at least offer the illusion of hope.
~~
Kaura paid no mind to her friend, focused instead on setting up the game that would ultimately lead to her rape. It was a sadistic task, she had decided, but it was the most she could do for the child now.
"I will go second." The Elf replied firmly, feeling it very necessary to know who it was that her young friend might be paired with. Her own actions in the game would be based around who might chose the girl, to soften the blow however she might. Her own desires ultimately dismissed when it came to protecting one of her own. "I was thinking of just assigning the teams...." She continued in an undertone, glancing up briefly at the dwarf. "I cannot bring myself to put to chance that she might be paired with him, nor would it be fair to have any try to embrace Teyha while her temper runs hot because of another." Briefly she paused, raising her eyes to watch the sulking with with an unreadable expression on her pretty face.
"Thank you." She finally whispered after a few moments. "She might not appreciate this, but I am very grateful to you and your crew..." Her hand settled on his, squeezing lightly as she shared a bright smile with the man. "And if you win, I will be very pleased."
RE: Shipwrecked
As the witch retreated to herself once more, both elf and dwarf who had been watching her nodded to themselves. Aldarras smiled, pleased with both the show of will and strength Teyha had presented by meeting his gaze and defiantly claiming to be more of a challenge than might be supposed as well as the effect he, and his proximity to her, had had by the way she refused even a glancing recognition or acknowledgement to the firmness in the front of his slacks. This will be a most intriguing game.
The Science Officer turned and crossed the short gap to where Kaura and the Captain were. He looked past them at where Newell had the board mostly set up and was in the process of initializing a randomizing program to have the computer deal with the spinning. Although, I think we could have handled that, since I doubt all six of us are playing at once.
As Aldarras approached, he saw Anderson share a moment with the elven maiden. Frank was smiling in that way that told any in the know to beware because something in the universe had boosted his ego even more. "I believe I will be pleased," Anderson was saying, "as well. Even more if you would be happy with my choice after the game."
"Captain, I believe Mr Freeport is ready for us to begin"
"Good, very good."
"How are we setting up the matches?"
"Yeah," chimed in Stonehammer from the other side of the room. Watching the young human witch moving about had been bad enough for the old dwarf, but seeing how gracefull and elegant her body could be when she had slipped and was rescued by Aldarras had taken Stonehammer back to their dalliance in Sickbay and he had groaned to himself at the way his groin had responded. Can almost smell 'er all over 'gain. And wouldn't I like a taste this time? The Engineer flashed the witch a wide smile, flashing his teeth like the feral predator he could be.
"Quiet you," Anderson told the dwarf. "You're lucky I'm letting you even play. Newell and Aldarras, you're up against the lovely Miss Teyha. So, step to the mat, shoes off, and let's get...hmm...shall we randomize the order or shall we be gentlemen and let the lady go first?"
Newell raised a hand from where he had sat on the floor to remove his shoes. "Why not let her decide? Either she can go first or we can roll off for it." The young pilot/navigator/jack-of-all-trades hoped he would go last in the game. The last person often had an advantage because of seeing how the others were set up. Once the game began, though, he knew they would all be moving silmultaneously and that advantage might turn out badly if the spin was particularly wonky.
Teyha felt a nauseous wave settle over her at the engineers sneer, driving home the resolve to win the competition. At very least she couldn't let herself lose to the dwarf, and become forfeit to his whims. The knowledge that had once already happened, thanks to the still illegal drug, was still painfully clear in her mind, and would not allow her every sexual experience to be taken by that horrid brute of a man!
Nervously she glanced around the room, taking note of each of the men. It dawned on her, as it should have hours ago, that whether or not she won the game tonight she would eventually be taken by one who surrounded her. It was unsettling, sickening, but denying that obvious fact would keep her no safer. As her Elven friend was trying to point out, the game was simply a kinder way to lose herself, so she might blame luck or skill, rather than their rescuers.
For now though, she examined each face in detail, morbidly curious which would be her first. Newell... Likely not. Though he had a kind face that made her want to trust him, she doubted he would have the skill or competitive streak to take down the others on the ship. Like her he seemed more soft spoken, reserved, and quiet, taking an unintentional backseat when compared to the others aboard the ship. It was almost a shame, she thought, he seemed the gentle sort, one who might take it slow and easy, and she wondered whether or not he won if he would force himself on her, or allow her to set the pace, like the gentleman he seemed to be.
The Elf now, Aldarras... He was a definite possibility. While he wasn't outspoken and obnoxious like the Dwarf, he allowed his interests to be very well known, and the ease of grace he displayed made it more than obvious that he possessed the skill to win. Especially considering who he's paired with! Teyha thought bitterly. She shot the Elf a grouchy look, hazel eyes burning until they locked back onto the flawless, powerful face. Men shouldn't be so handsome! It's not fair on women! She told herself as the blood rose once again in her cheeks, and she was forced to duck her head in embarrassment, moving on before her assessment was complete.
The captain surely not, the young witch realized with an inward smile. Kaura had already taken a shining to the human, sharing a warm smile and whispered words too soft for her ears to catch. She did gravitate to humans, Teyha reflected.
Indeed the Elf was quite fond of the other species, their more open nature appealed to her like the always dignified Elven ways often did not. She was actually quite fond of both human males, appreciating the differences in their natures. It was because of these differences; however, that she did ultimately decide to move closer to the captain, rather than his subordinate.
It was her first time just it was Teyha's, and however much bravado she pushed into keeping her young friend safe, she still wanted to be able to remember the experience fondly. It seemed the self assured captain might be more suited than the shy and far more timid pilot. And so she flashed the man a smile, sorely tempted to place a gentle kiss on his cheek, if it wouldn't further alienate herself from the other crewmen. "I'm sure I will be." She whispered instead, relieved by the arrangement of the contestants. She was confident that even if Frank couldn't beat Stonehammer, she would... However that went the pairing was decided. For Teyha's team, the victor seemed obvious as well, with the shy witch, timid human, and agile Elf competing against one another.
But Teyha wouldn't easily submit, though her mind was still buzzing with possibilities as well. Instead she busied herself with pulling off her shoes, setting the worn pair aside before standing and stretching, raising her hands high above her head to work out any kinks in her muscles before the competition.
She leaned back with a soft groan, and froze, features twisting painfully slightly as she felt for the first time since the crash a sharp tug in her lower back. It was little wonder that she hadn't noticed the pain before, overwhelmed by the trails of the day. Still, if there was any hope for victory, it seemed lost now. Had the injury had been on her friend, she might have been able to soothe the sprain, but healing oneself was never wise. The inability to see the injury made any attempts to remedy the situation very unwise, without risking the nerves near her spine, or mending the muscle badly.
"I'll go first." She said tightly, ignoring the stiffness in her back as she moved forward to the mat. A little pain wasn't worth a forfeit, she told herself! It didn't matter if winning the game would only delay the inevitable for a day, or serve to soften the blow when it came to her own loss... It didn't even matter that it seemed the, admittingly very alluring, Elf would serve to win. "Please go easy on me..." She whispered to the man as she passed, not quite willing to glance up at his face and risk becoming lost in the light blue abyss of his eyes.
OOC: Just catching up the narrative, I'll try and have something actually new tomorrow. :cool:
RE: Shipwrecked
The Science Officer's hearing just caught the low plea from the young witch as she stepped up to the playing field for their game. Aldarras and Newell both joined her before the large plastic tarp. He smiled a little at how the bright white background and the vivid primary and secondary colours seemed to make the whole thing a little less intimidating and built up the fun aspect of before they had even begun to play. He gave a slight nod to Newell as they flanked Teyha and faced one another.
Newell swallowed a slight touch of nervousness and said, "Computer, begin game program, Twister." The human pilot and Navigator gave Teyha a smile. No offense, but I have to win to have a shot at your friend. he told her in his head.
The detached, mechanical voice of the computer called out, "Right foot, green."
The trio moved themselves onto the field and proceeded to plau through a dozen or so different changes of position without incident. Other than a few scowls from Teyha towards Stonehammer when she realized the dwarf had moved his seat to take advantage of the way a given stretch was revealing more of her than she had realized her garment would do, and the inevitable quick takes of breath or nervous swallows from the doctor or Newell as she bumped or rubbed herself against either of the men, and when Newell would do the same with hand or slowly distended crotch.
Aldarras seemed not put out or embarrassed by any of the bodily contact. "Left hand, blue." intoned the computer and the elf saw his opening. He leaned way ovr and stretched across to take the circle nearest to Newell, forcing the crewman to mimic him but in a way that extended the human more than was easily comfortable. As they shifted about, Aldarras leaned a bit and pressed his erection firmly against Newell's bottom; a suprise that made the Navigator's eyes pop and his balance give way.
"Oh!" Newell said as he fell over for the last time. Three times was the rule they'd come up with since no one could recall exactly how it was in the Twister rules, and three strikes was a concept in more things than merely baseball. Aldarras' head was close to Teyha's and he whispered, "Just us now..."
"Oh now that was a cheap trick." Teyha half growled, sympathizing with the poor human boy and his loss. Oh the girl knew it was a silly sentiment, one less competitor was a very positive thing. It meant she was only one step away from spending the night alone, her body free from the unwelcome affections of the crewman. Still, it also narrowed the field to between her and Aldarras, a cunning foe if there ever was one. The man had no qualms about using any conceivable method to gain victory in this event. Not even Newell, a fellow crewman and male, was safe from sexual advances, if just for the sake of winning the game. Had Teyha not questioned the man only a few moments earlier, she would have been sure he was seeking to spend the night with Kaura, to put so much effort into winning... But his motives were made more than clear.
Even now he taunted her, drawing in still closer, so that his hot breath stirred the soft hair along the narrow line of her throat, whispering words meant just for her. Involuntarily Teyha shiver and paled, taking more meaning from the soft message than even the Elf may have intended. Just them now, and should she lose... Just them for the evening. In the short time that she had known the Elven man, it was more than obvious to her that he would never surrender his victory, certainly not just to spare her own feelings on the matter. She had to win.
"Right foot red!" The mechanical voice chimed once again, announcing the next move in this strange and very weighted dance. Teyha's foot was positioned easily on yellow, and she stretched far, straining to keep her balance. Her sense of balance was never strong to begin with, even with her concentration focused entirely on keeping her body from tumbling onto the brightly colored mat. She didn't even spare the effort to glower at the dwarf, who seemed to take great pleasure in how she stretched; pulling the unforgiving clothing she borrowed tight across the generous curves of her lower body. Yes she hated the bastard of a man, for his arrogance, and for the callous way he had drugged and used her… But it wasn’t worth forfeiting the chance at victory just to put the little man in his place.
And so the game continued, Aldarras and Teyha both giving their all for a prize far sweeter than glory. Somewhat shorter and less coordinated; Teyha laced her body under the Elves, staying close to the vividly colored mat to keep from over extending herself. Desperately she tried to shove her body under his weak points, thigh under the bend of his knee, shoulder pushing at his arm... To find the man’s body as unyielding as if carved from stone.
But the computer had other plans, and as she slipped her smaller body under the mans, he pulled his arm under her. Still, each time their bodies would touch, the witch would tense, body rigid beneath his until they separated again with the next move. A familiar heat grew in Teyha’s cheeks, blood pounding in her ears as she struggled to find every possible move that might put precious inches between herself, and the expertly contorted form of her Elven rescuer.
With each move she took away from the man, he pulled himself next to her once more. It was by sheer willpower alone that the determined young woman didn’t crumble whenever one of their hands would brush intimately across the other’s body.
~~
Teyha was doing far better than Kaura predicted she might. Her determination to not spend her evening in the arms of one of the crewmen drove her to play harder than she ever may have normally. It was a rather refreshing change of pace; compared to the timid young woman who rarely put much effort into doing anything she wasn’t fond of.
Back and forth she moved with the far older Elf, and as they feel into their own routine, Kaura took a glance about the man who remained. It was an almost surreal realization that at some point in this journey she would lay with every man in this room, that such a thing was actually expected of her and her young friend. Claiming multiple partners was not an unusual concept for Elves, who could have as many regular partners as they wished, as well the more casual sexual encounters… But to be expected to take four strange men as lovers? Unheard of.
Were she alone, Kaura would have protested far stronger against the perversions of the crew, but for the safety of her young charge, she had little choice but to endure, and salvage what was left of her dignity whenever they were released from the charge of these crewmen.
Her gaze flickered first to the youngest human; already disqualified from the match, before returning again to the man she leaned softly against. Perhaps she was being too hard in her analysis. Excluding Stonehammer, none of the men treated either woman cruelly… Or even as though it was just the pleasures of the flesh that they sought. If they did, the Elf doubted very much that any would take the time to complete such a ritual. It would be far easier to simply force themselves upon their captive, through their physical strength, or through the use of drugs. This… This was entirely for the comfort of her young friend.
Kaura lost herself so completely in her contemplation; she almost leapt to her feet at the emotional wail that cut through the quiet. Startled, the young Elf looked back at the mat, where the human had finally lost her balance, crumbled in a heap below the steady body of her opponent. She had gone on as long as she could manage, but extending her already battered body proved far too much to handle. Be it from the realization of what her loss meant, or the obvious expression of pain that pinched the young woman’s features, the witch broke into soft sobs, frail shoulders shaking.
((Gosh this is wordy, and not particularly well written. Been too long since I’ve written anything! XP I’ll stop her to prevent godmodding. :D ))
As Newell left the playing field, Aldarras took a moment after taunting Teyha to breathe in the scent of the witch's hair and the slowly growing sheen of sweat just becoming visible to someone right on top of her, like himself. His eyes caught sight of the leering Stonehammer and the Science Officer lightly shook his head at the thought that someone like the Dryad's dwarven Engineer should actually have knowledge of what it was like to literally be on top of the human's sleek form.
The elf found it amusing that Kaura's assessment of her friend was so accurate. That a woman of such graceful appearance might hold about as much physical dexterity as, well, as Stonehammer. Her mastery of her magicks must either rely on more mental accuity and sharpness of gesture or, perhaps, grew out of emotions and desires. Hmm...speaking of such... Aldarras' senses were certain he was picking up a scent that was more earthy and arousing than just sweat coming from the doctor.
Could she be allowing herself to become turned on? Most excellent.
Slowly, but with more obvious intent, the elf began raising the heat on Teyha by looking for, and taking advantage of, every opportunity to caress and open palm against the soft flesh of his opponent. A stroke of a thigh here, and subtle flexing against the swell of her breasts there...even going so far as to lean in and let his hot breath drape itself about Teyha's lovely neck or shoulder--entice her nipples to begin showing themselves even beneath the fabric of her dress.
Once, when their eyes met, he merely mouthed, "Soon," to her. And smiled.
It had been far too many years since Frank had played anything remotely like Twister. And never, that he could recall, had he played it while sober. He enjoyed watching the witch's body as her competitive spirit was slowly drawn out from within the shy and fragile cover she had built around it. Frank knew that couldn't be all that Teyha was. You don't master the sort of spells involved in what she is...not to mention gaining the right to practise medicine and be called 'Doctor'...without having some gumption and persevearance. Thoughts about his own coming match stayed mostly at the fringe of his mind, only really coming to the fore when he detached himself from the game before him to envision what it might look like to be in a particular position versus Kaura.
Frank cut a glance at the elven maiden as she settled herself against him while they watched. His empathy was getting more of a workout than usual. Between Stonehammer's general sense of persecution and grumbling sense of misogyny--replicated and intensified by the dislike, disgust, and...oddly enough...curiosity that came from Teyha whenever she caught sight of the dward and realized what the Engineer was paying attention to, and the mass of assorted wants of each crew member for either, or both, women...Frank almost hoped for an early win by someone so that either himself or Kaura might kick Stonehammer back to the engine room and they could all move on to exploring the next part of Kaura's game.
Suddenly, a moan of a scream echoed within the small meeting room/mess hall and reverberated within the captain's mind and Kaura had jumped to her feet. Frank had followed the elf right on up, the thick bulge beneath his uniform pressing itself against the adventuress' body as they watched Teyha dissolve on the game mat.
"Well," Frank said softly into Kaura's ear. "Looks like that's one."
~~~~~

Before either Kaura or Anderson had left their seats, Aldarras was hungrily on the prowl for the third--and final--failure on the doctor's part at either maintaining her balance or staying on the target colour once he had made his move to either taunt her with erotic contact between them or, more and more, by the closeness with which he could bring his body to hers without actually making any contact. He was reminded of an Old Terran animation. One sibling had mocked another by bringing their hand really close--having been admonished by parental edict to stop touching--and softly chanting, "I'm not touching you."

And then came the opening he was waiting for.

"Left leg, Red," intoned the computer. Teyha glid her leg across from the last colour to be called, and went to lower her body so as to take advantage of how much less space she needed from floor to top of her body compaired to the lengthier and less compact elf. As she did so, however, she found that Aldarras had managed to position his body so that he rested easily on his right hand and foot. Thus supported, the Science Officer was able to extend his left leg in a way that put his foot on the required colour and allowed him to rub his knee slowly and deliberately against the now matted center of Teyha's panties. She had been used to such manuvers--especially after Newell's defeat--but this time she had sighed and found herself, just for a moment, grinding back down upon the elf's invasion of her space.

Aldarras smiled.

Teyha gasped and then swayed.

Stonehammer laughed. "Gotcha now," he said.

The witch tilted over and then back and then dropped to one hand.

"Three," was all the Science Officer said and straightened himself up as the witch wailed and collapsed on the plastic game mat. He watched as her body twitched and then stepped to her as he saw Kaura and Frank standing up. Aldarras extended a hand to Teyha and whispered, "Quite a good game. Come, let's get you cleaned and back in your own clothing. Yes?"

Truth be told, Teyha lacked the schooling to deserve the title of doctor. She never attended a university, and certainly had never made it to medical school! At twenty five, the young witch might have otherwise been enrolled in such classes, pursuing her degree as any other youth of the world. It likely wouldn’t have mattered terribly if she did have magical abilities or not, all things considered. The edge that it gave in curing physical ailments would have simply landed her a firm role as a surgery assistant, mending obvious damage, rather than searching for meaning behind symptoms, the kind of pursuit that would interest her far more.

Regardless, the witch was none of the above. She was the second doctor aboard the shuttle simply because she possessed the ability to be such. War, famine, disease, disaster… It had become so common on the planet from which both women were born that social structure itself was pushed to its very brink. Even as much of what troubled their world began to diminish, a new problem arose, as those who had the knowledge, skill, and experience to claim many jobs simply did not exist. To fill these gaps, the merely capable took on the necessary roles, and so Teyha rose to position as a doctor. Though she lacked the formal schooling, her general curiosity and magical expertise allowed her to take on a position long before she otherwise might of, without the need for the gumption that Frank knew she possessed.

How the young women ended in space is a far longer story, with little to do with the way the witch groaned and writhed on the mat. For the moment Aldarras remained completely unaware of her pain, blaming her breathy wail on the fact that she had indeed lost the match… An assumption that otherwise would have been very accurate… But Kaura had been with the girl for far longer, keen ears more than capable of distinguishing the whiney cries of disappointment and anger, from her shaky, deep throated howl of actual pain.

It took her only a moment to cross from where she had been sitting, to kneeling by the young woman, carefully pulling her from the mat. “You over exerted yourself, child.” Kaura sighed, in a mix of sympathy and exasperation. Couldn’t the woman remain constant for once? Either she put no amount of effort into whatever caught her interest, or pushes herself to the brink of injury out of sheer stubborn pride. “Mr. Aldarras.” The other Elf whispered, shifting the young woman’s weight slowly to the stronger man. His race, she guessed, was built for acts of strength… While her own evolved to be quick and agile, while physically weaker even than the humans they shared a planet with. “Take her to sickbay, if I had to hazard a guess, I would scan the shoulder she is clutching.”

Teyha spat an awkward curse at her friend, unappreciative of the way she simply passed her to the man intent on bedding her, and the almost sarcastic way she assessed her injuries. Of course it was the shoulder that was hurting her! Teyha couldn’t possibly make it more obvious if she was shouting “My shoulder! My shoulder! Ow!”

Ignoring the girl’s less than ladylike outburst, Kaura continued. “You should be able to mend the wound properly there, but do not allow the child to claim she can heal herself. White magic is unfaithful when turned on itself, and many more powerful than her have made the mistake of trying to fix their own injury.” Another grumbling protest from the trembling woman, which earned her little more than a soft pat on the head from her friend. “Mr. Newell!” She called, turning away, to meet the navigators eyes fully. “Would you make a plate of dinner for Mr. Aldarras and young Teyha? Bring it either to the sickbay, or Mr. Aldarras’ quarters, depending on which he finds the more convenient. Human women of our planet have a peculiar ritual of sharing a meal with their mates prior to copulation.”

“Kaura!” Teyha squeaked, the complexion that had lost all its color from pain now darkening to crimson once more. “You can’t go around deciding this on your own!”

“Hush.” Kaura replied sharply. “You agreed to the terms, and you lost. More importantly, you put your own health in danger against an opponent you could not beat, and that is far beyond childish.” She knelt once more, if only to meet the witch’s glare with a cool stare of her own. “You will fulfill your bargain, and do so without the whine that you have done nothing but show these men since they saved our lives.” The elven woman softened slightly, offering her friend a half smile. “Endure one night as a woman, Teyha. Dinner, and the evening that follows. At least see if it is as horrible as you assume it will be, before casting your hate on every man in existence.”

She waited a moment for Teyha to reply, but the girl only turned half away, silently burying her face into the folds of Aldarras’ clothes. That, apparently, would be the closest that Kaura would get to an answer from the stubborn child. “Be gentle with her.” Kaura urged the man, before rising, and turning back to the captain, the man who had earned her interest. “I believe it’s our turn? If I may suggest, that if Mr. Stonehammer falls first then I assume we can agree to pair with one another?” With only a slight hesitation to betray her nervousness, Kaura caught the human’s hand in her own, giving a very gentle affectionate squeeze. “I would like to return to see Teyha to be sure she is behaving, before she retires to your science officers quarters.”

Stonehammer snorted to himself and rose from the table to head for the food sevice machine. Damn fool elves and humans, both. I'll show them. Gonna knock Frank right off his captain's chair and fuck me some elf pussy. He punched in the commands on the console to get one of his alloted shares of liquor. The Dryad's computer was set with security protocols of many kinds; one of them was a limit to how much alcohol a given crew member could access over a given time period. Frank had had his share of misadventures involving drunken crew members, so he'd had it installed several years back.

Drink in hand, the dwarf ignored the rest of the group as they hustled Teyha off to Sickbay. He shook his head slightly and chuckled at how easily the elf woman ordered people around and how readily the others seemed to jump to do as she asked. Since when does salvage run the show? I'm gonna be sure to teach her who's the boss of who, dat's for sure. He walked the Twister mat and familiarized himself with what color was where and made mental estimations of positioning and such based on how the last game had played out.

While Stonehammer plotted and planned his strategy for the coming game, Newell merely nodded and went to fix a plate as Kaura had asked. Since he was pretty sure he'd seen Mr Aldarras eating already, but wasn't so positive about Miss Teyha, he used an extra serving platter and prepared a small meal of items that wouldn't dribble juices across the plate where he fixed a larger set of dessert items. That way, she could have dinner and they both could enjoy something else afterwards. Although, if I know Mr Aldarras, they'll both have enjoyed something quite a bit.

The young navigator glanced over his shoulder as the tall elf gently drew the injured witch to his chest and almost glid out of the rec room towards Sickbay. He smiled and left the room as well, but headed off in another direction. Looks like a good time to run some recording tests for the security cams about the ship. Haven't seen anything from Sickbay since...well... The words in Newell's mind gave way to the images he had viewed later on of Stonehammer taking advantage of the mostly unconscious Teyha. He shifted his gait as he walked the ship's corridors at the slight pressure in his groin and began picturing how much more erotic and exciting it would be to see the young woman actively being a partner to such activities.

While Newell had had various encounters with the opposite sex, actual intercourse had not yet been one of them. Too many aliens whose physique wasn't quite aligned for human copulation was the main reason, the other being that Newell really wanted his first time to be...corny and cliché as even he thought it was...special.

The pain Teyha was experiencing made Frank's limbs and back grow taut. Damn...fuck...ow...she's a lot more stoic about this than I think I would be...shit...god damn He simply nodded to Kaura and latched onto the sensation of her hand closing about his own and pressing her flesh into his, this gave him the freedom to slip away from Teyha's pain and bask in the hint of desire and yearning for romance and sensual play that was currently flowing through Kaura's mind. Her whole body is radiating it. I think she likes these sorts of games more than she was letting on.

"That sounds like a plan to me," Frank said. He caught the dwarf in his peripheral vision and turned his head to watch Stonehammer eyeing the playing surface and making mock stretches and the like. This might be more of a challenge than I...we...thought. Returning his attention to Kaura, Frank looked in her eyes and tried not to lose himself. "Of course. You go ahead and see to your friend. The game will still be here." He made a gesture towards Stonehammer. "And the extra time might be to our advantage," he whispered making a motion like drinking.

Aldarras knew something was wrong when Teyha not only ignored his hand, but ignored the chance to make a smart remark over his words as well as the overture of friendship (well, of sportsmanship at the very least) that had gone along with them. Before he could react or respond, however, Kaura was by the witch's side and helping her to her feet. He watched while the elven woman scolded her human friend and then slipped and arm about Teyha to give better support than Kaura could provide.

He caught sight of Frank off behind Kaura and knew that something was even more wrong than he had suspected by the way the captain was behaving. He is picking up on the pain coming from the witch. She must be bad off, indeed. When she buried her face against his chest, Aldarras decided it was time to be going to Sickbay. With a dip of his knees and a shift of his left arm, the Science Officer gathered Teyha into the crook of that arm and cradled her against himself. The smell of soap and light perfume from washing her hair earlier still lingered in the deep recesses of Teyha's hair and Aldarras found the way they blended into the scent of sweat and woman that softly covered her body after the exertion of their game somewhat more arousing than he had expected they would be.

Quickly, he strode through from the rec room and made it down the corridors to Sickbay. Aldarras moved swiftly, his elven speed and agility allowing him to make the trip without jarring the witch one bit. The doors opened automatically, as usual, and Aldarras went straight to one of the examination tables. "We're here," he said gently. "I am going to place you on the table now so that I can run our diagnostics program. Okay?"
