He winced, just at the mental imagery.
He'd never seen Athan throw a kick that wasn't really more of a push with the foot, probably something to do with worrying about toppling himself over, the guy was probably used to having a very precarious balance, but it wouldn't have been pleasant. You didn't ideally put yourself on the bad side of a man who you could easily convince people could lift cars. Though, to be fair, Athan could probably lift those little dinky things that seemed to be made out of tin foil and never had high enough roofs.
He couldn't help but chuckle though. Humor, even like that. He was worried about what happened, maybe a side effect of the pregnancy, but he let it go.
"Don't worry 'bout it."
He gave her the gentlest peck on the lips he could manage, and slowly but surely looked for the absolute most gentle way he could find to turn the two of them over onto their sides, laying her beside him. The ropes twisted his legs awkwardly with it, but it wasn't so bad he couldn't ignore it and lay there for a while. Just as long as he didn't try to sleep like this or something stupid.
Of course. He wasn't a master of conversation, and with a no-touch rule now in state, he didn't really have much to do but hum a little tune as he watched her and let her face lay on his palm. He'd try to pull out, too, but if she was flinching at other touches, he was going to have to be very careful to stop if trying to move away just seemed to make it worse.
