The Newest Virum

When Adam noticed what was going on, how they were drawing the zombies away, he didn't even hesitate, and he busted his ass. It wasn't long before he darted into the safety of the building. Alisha had her gun aimed, it wasn't a sniper rifle, but as some tried to turn after Adam she helped shoot them with rather good aim. Her gun bullets could go a bit far, it being a large calibor. "Great, now it's going to be a while before they calm down and leave," she muttered under her breath. Apparent frustration on her face but it wasn't exactly for the reason one might think.

Adam quickly went to Brad, "Who are these people?" He asked, out of breath, everyone still had their guns at the ready, just in case. "Alisha came across them earlier, we've invited them to join up with us. They are trained and going to help train us a little bit more so we have a better chance at survival," Brad explained.

It was crazy outside, the hoard was getting bigger, but they seemed confused as to where to go. They were easily confused, which often times worked in their advantage, if they can't see you easily then they tend to not know where to go - stupid creatures.

Jack chuckled at the girl, shaking his head, picking off a few more before simply watching. "Listen, I know you invited us here, and I don't mean to brag, but we are quite possibly the best guys to have around. I doubt there will be any left to leave." He chuckled again, watching the action through the scope. A glimpse of movement passed under, but since it was way to fast to be Zed, he figured it was just that Adam guy. Man, he moved fast, but having a group of soldiers lure zombies away from your hiding spot tends to do that. The four man team however, fired every now and then until the man was safe. Then they ducked into another building, holding their breaths, being very careful not to make the slightest noise. The horde was huge now, and they didn't have enough ammo on them to kill them all. If it came down to hand to hand, they didn't have enough man power either. For now, they'd have to wait the little bastards out.

Thank God they were all dumb as a doorknob. Imagine, a smart zombie. One of the soldiers patted Trystan on the shoulder, making a small motion to one of the windows. The leader moved carefully to look outside, grinning as the horde passed by, although they were searching for them. Dead bodies littered the floor, most without a head to call their own.

Alisha smiled at Jack, "Yeah, I don't mind that," she said witha smirk and a small chuckle. She didn't mind there being being none left to leave, she quite enjoyed the thought actually, not having to worry about any of this - it sounded like paradise. "I can't wait until the city is taken back from these damn things." She said, sort of to herself, sort of to Jack.

With Adam safe, Brad went to the weapons room and grabbed something that looked like a detanator. He went up to where Jack and Alisha were. "Hey there you too." He announced himself, to not get shot. "They may need a little help." He held out the detanator and pushed one of the buttons, causing an small explosion a bit down the road from where Trystan was. Clicking another button, another small explosion in the oposite direction. This caused the hoard to split up, some going to one explosion, another going the other. It helped with thinning hoards a bit, it kept them off people and instead investigating something that isn't there so they leave sooner.

The explosives worked, although Trystan was impressed. Either this group that they had stumbled upon really liked having them here, or they had alot more explosives. Whatever the reason, he was grateful. "Come on guys. Looks like the civvies bailed us out of what could have been a bad situation." One of them grinned, strapping the rifle to his back. "Yeah, no kidding. I swear I almost passed out from the lead one's breath." That sent a small relaxed chortle through the team as they pulled out small pistols and knives. With that, they snuck out of the building and across the street, knifing a stray Zed before it made a sound. The soldiers certainly were efficient. They hopped the wall without any trouble and when they were finally inside, they spread their arms and slapped a few high fives with fellow soldiers and a few of Alisha's group. "Who ever made the boom boom, thanks. We owe ya one big explosion!" Trystan grinned, taking off his helmet, wiping some of the wetness that had formed on his forehead.

Jack chuckled, standing up and stretching before grabbing his rifle and heading for the door. He was much more relaxed, especially now that a few of the soldiers had been saved by Brad's hand. And a few nicely placed bombs. Somehow, without all the armor on, he seemed less intimidating and more relaxed. It wasn't that he was a bad looking guy, he just had quite a few scars, and being in the army, one tends to carry himself differently. "Come on chick, whatever Trystan is about to do, we don't wanna miss it. That guy is the most eccentric soldier I have ever met. Hell, I still wonder how he made it through the psych-test." He shook his head, strapping on his rifle and heading down the stairs.

Brad smirked, "You're welcome Trystan. It took us a while to get things setup enough to be able to pull those types of explosions off, but we figured they could come in hand eventually." He chuckled, "We were right apparently." he paused, "The idea of the explosives were Nate's, I just have the remote." He held up the controller before putting off to the side to keep it safe.

Alisha smiled at Jack and nodded, following him. Alisha was starting to really warm up to Jack, he wasn't as harsh as his appearance first gave him off to be - which was refreshing, they had a really tight-wad in the group before and it didn't end well, plus they were always on guard and she always figured those that couldn't relax would loose their minds. She chuckled, "Eccentric can be fun," she said, it could have been. She followed him down the stairs.

"Well, I'll have to thank Nate and you Brad. And just so you guys know, explosives are always good to have. Zombies are slow enough that you can plaster a small chunk of C4 on them, and just as they start coming after you, you blow 'em to pieces. Dangerous, but fun." He chuckled, patting Brad on the shoulder with a gloved hand. "In any case, we need more things to go boom." With a smile, he nodded at Jack, giving him a thuimbs up. The older soldier gave him a thumbs up back and started to laugh lightly.

He knew he was safe now. These civilians could handle themselves, and having backup was always good. Especially if those people were willing to learn and listen. "Eccentric can be fun, ain't that right kiddo? Just as long as he doesn't lose it on the battlefield. It tends to get messy." Trystan looked at him, a small smile on his face.

"Those Zed bastards were asking for it, and you know it."
